Trying to reinstall ADE I get this error. I get the options to cancel which closes the program or to try again. What can I do? I tried to uninstall en reinstall the program

Just read another reply which said to make sure that your computer date and time is correct.

I Finally got mine to work. I hadn't changed anything on my computer, but it just started giving me this error and the E_ADEPT_DATABASE error out of the blue. Nothing really worked. I tried redownloading the program, restarting my computer, changing my internet settings to "automatically detect...", yelling, anger, sadness, evil eye.. you get the point. Anywho, after several successful attempts, this is what works for me:
By the way, I run Win 7 and mainly use ff. Unfortunately, FF does not work with this.
Using the search bar in Win 7, type in "Allow". This should pop up the link to "Allow a program through Windows Firewall". Clickety-click.
Click on the button that says "Change settings". (Maybe be fast or slow).
If Adobe Digital Editions is listed, click it (I have home/work checked but not public). If it is not listed - Click on "Allow another program.." (really that what the button says. Find Adobe Digital Editions and click.
Click on OK.
Open the acsm link through Internet Explorer (FF won't work). It should download no problems.
I have tried this with FF and it did not work. I had to go back and "Allow" ade again.
Works in IE if I automatically detect... or not.
Is still annoying because it worked fine before. I want things back the way they used to be!

Since 5 hours I try to activate Adobe Digital Editors and continously get
E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error%20#2032
I have already :
1/ changed Firefox for Explorer to download ADE
2/ turned Firewall and anti-virus software off
3/ change proxy settings for "automatic"
4/ started ADE as administrator
5/ changed compatibility for :
   a/ XP Windows service Pack 2
   b/ Vista Service Pack
   c/ Windows 7
and .... what I've got is this error.
Can somebody help me ? Please ....

I tried all of the above too including restarting and even switching the router, I also tried different PCs, and still get the same error message.
Oh yes and I tried the customer support, which told me to ask here.
Help, anybody? please

When installing Digital Editions I recieved the Error message: E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error%20#2032
I followed instructions to add Digital Editions in through the firewall, which I did and recieved the Welcome to Digital Editions message.
I am still getting the same error code.
Any ideas?

I have tried all the approaches suggested by all posts, including stand-along installer and firewall bypass, and nothing works. Same problem as others- error activating and the "try again" button doesn't work. I have valid Adobe username and I am using XP and firefox. Please help ASAP as I need to read books for class that are only available in digital editions format.

let me elucidate-
When I try to download directly from the Digital Editions page, I got a "download failed" message-
when I did the stand alone installation, everything is fine, the Digital Editions screen pops up in the background, and then the error message pops up, and I am unable to open any files to read. Now, when I try to lauch straight from the Digital Editions page, I get the background but the same error message appears.

I have tried many times today (11/8) to authorize my new Astak EZReader Pocket Pro device but always get the subject error message a short time after being told that Adobe Digital Editions is "Connecting to Authorization Server". This new reader is a replacement for a defective unit which authorized without a problem about one month ago. Any suggestions for getting around this problem will be greatly appreciated.
I forgot to mention a very wierd attendant problem: each time I try the device authorization and get this error message, I find that my internet connection has been lost and the only way I can restore it is to shut down and restart. As long as I don't attempt the ADE device authorization, my internet connection (via Verizon FiOS) functions normally. This one really has me stumped.

Additional updated information from initial poster: I am working actively and closely with the E-reader device support team to determine if the problem is being caused by the reader rather than with Digital Editions. A further update will be posted just as soon as a determination is made one way or the other.

Tried everything or almost everything either singularly or in combination.

5. Set ProtectedMode=0 in mms.cfg…….....no change
6. Deactivated add-ons one at a time….....no change
7. Reactivatewd add-ons one at a time..….flash started working

Error 2032 refers a stream error. I think its a network issues. Do you use internet using proxy server. Have you restarted your machine since the problem persists.

Error Activating Adobe Digital Editions

I downloaded and installed Adobe Digital Editions but when I open the program I get this message: Error Activating: E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error%20#2032
I tried uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it along with rebooting my system. What can I do to fix this problem?

Hi,
Regarding the error message that you are getting you can try following steps:
1) Open Adobe Digital Editions.
2) Press Ctrl+Shift+D key of your Keyboard and deauthorize Digital Editions.
3) Uninstall Adobe Digital Editions from your computer.
     Click start>>Control Panel>>Programs>>Programs and features.
     Select Adobe Digital Editions from the list and Delete.
4) Also delete following files.
    Click Start>>Run
    Type "regedit" in the box and hit enter.
    Locate the following key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>Digital Editions"
    delete the full folder (Right click on it and click delete).
     Also locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>Adept
     Delete the full folder.
5) Now open Internet explorer. go to Tools>>Internet options>>Connections>>Lan settings. Check the “automatically detect settings” box and uncheck all the other boxes.
6) Now download and install Adobe Digital Editions from the link given below.
     http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/.
7) When asked to authorize computer then please enter same Adobe ID and password which you were using earlier.
8) Now try to open the books.

DE offline on different computer?

Historically, I have read my eBooks on a laptop that has no connection to the Internet. I download PDFs (or Word documents) onto my desktop and then use a USB key to transfer the reading material to the laptop. If I have purchased an Adobe Digital Editions book and am able to open it on my desktop successfully is there any way to transfer and read the book onto my laptop?
From what I am reading and my understanding of it, I believe the answer to be no but would dearly love to hear a yes from someone who knows more about it than I do. Sitting at my desktop is not the most comfortable position to read for long periods of time.

The second paragraph addresses my question but I can't get to the point of being sure. I have a few questions related to the answer, but will start with one that precedes getting to the point described in the response.
How exactly do I install and activate ADE on the laptop that doesn't have a network connection and, consequently, no access to the Internet (except, as noted previously, through a USB key). I had previously downloaded the setup.exe (available through their support site) but upon reading the manual install instructions assumed that steps 2 and 3 suggested it was not possible to install ADE to a computer that did not have access to the Internet.
Manually install Adobe Digital Editions for Windows
Download the latest installer for Windows: Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 for Windows.
Click Run in the File Download screen to start the installation.
Note: If your connection times out, click Save, instead of Run, to save the installer to your desktop.
When a message appears asking you to trust the publisher, click Run again. You can safely download the Digital Editions installer from Adobe.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
However, given the response, I thought there might be some way around this and decided to give it a go anyway. ADE did indeed install but when opened it displays an error related to the activation. Not surprisingly it says:
"Activate Digital Editions
Error Activating
E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error #2032"
I've tried to hit the Cancel button on the error message in the hopes there is some other manner of activating the software (you know, through a registration file I can download and copy over to the laptop separately like some software provides) but ADE simply closes. I haven't been able to find anything online that suggests an offline way to activate ADE.
Is there one that anyone knows of?

Error #2032 when using SAP NetWeaver BI Connection

Hi,
I'm trying to use to new SAP NetWeaver BI Connection in Xcelsius SP2, but when I try to connect to a BEx Query, I receive error #2032.
I have a crossdomain.xml file in the Tomcat root of the BO-server, and the Adobe Global Security Settings are also filled in with all directories of my BO-server.
Has someone an idea why this error occurs, and how to solve it?
I'm working on Sap NetWeaver 7.0.1 SP5.

We are using in total 6 different clients with Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise SP2. With two of them we can use SAP NetWeaver BI Connection and do not receive any error. The rest is showing the error message #2032.
There is one difference between the systems which are working and the ones which are not:
After selecting the query in the BI NetWeaver Connection there is an additional popup "Windows security" appearing.
--> The server sapbw100.xxxx at BicsRemote/Config1 requires a username and password.
Filling in the username and password the data from the query appear in the xcelsius.
With the clients which provide an error there is no such popoup.
If we create on an existing installation an .xlf file and open it on one which is not working, the Data Managers show the correct connection. As soon as we click on refreshing data, error #2032 appears.
System configuration clients:
Windows XP and Windows 7
Office 2007
SAP Business Explorer Patch 1001
Regarding the working clients:
One is working on XP the other on Windows 7
Both on Xcelsius 5.2.0.0
Installing the FixPatch for SP2 is also not helping to solve the problem.
All the inputs in this thread have been tested but without sucess. Till now we could not install note 1380059 since related notes are not yet released.

Widget-Browser: Error #2032

Hallo an alle,
ich habe den Widget-Browser installiert. Bislang bekomme ich bei fast allen Widgets die Fehlermeldung "Fehler beim Herunterladen des Widget: Error #2032". Der Downloadprozess dauert etwas länger. Für einen Sekundenbruchteil wird ein Download-Dialogfeld angezeigt bevor die Fehlermeldung erscheint. Das einzige Widget, das in der Vorschau funktioniert ist jQuery Cycle. Woran kann der Fehler liegen?
