Error at Statup

I keep gettin 2 of the same errors when i start up
dreamweaver and they say windows cannot connect to folder...... a
connection with the server could not be esablished. For the life of
me i can not figure out why i keep getting this annoying error. I
am not trying to upload or load through dreamweaver and i just want
it to go away, because it always delays the start. Should i
uninstall then reinstall or is there some setting i can change to
stop tyring to load this/these files? ty

Exactly what do the error messages contain, please?

Oracle Identity Managment 9.1 jboss statup issue

I have installed oracle identity manager 9.1 using jboss. after complete installation, when I start my jboss, I am getting following message -

and at this stage, it is getting stuck for too much time and I am getting message -

I have assigned max heap size in my jboss run.bat => set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx1536m
Now I can not extend heap memory beyond this.. jboss give error while statup if I give more than this heap size.
can any body help me on this. I am not getting root cause for this.

You also need to add the following JVM option: -XX:MaxPermSize=256m

Font managers and CS5

Has anyone had any of the font managers work with CS5? I tried Font Agent and the plugin generates an error at statup.

Oh I figured that. I was just hoping that one of them might work. Seems like the FA Pro plugin worked between CS3 and CS4 with just a couple of minor problems.

Asm_diskgroups and startup question

I have an asm instance up and woring OK.
I have two diskgroup in this instance.
SQL> select GROUP_NUMBER,NAME from v$asm_diskgroup;
GROUP_NUMBER NAME
           1 SHVAPRDDATA
           2 SHVAPRD_FLASHThe asm_diskgroup parameter shows only one diskgroup :

No you will not get an error but only SHVAPRD_FLASH diskg group will mount.But you can change
asm_diskgroups =SHVAPRD_FLASH,SHVAPRDDATA and in this case both diskgroup will automatically mount

Mitsubishi FX3U PLC OPC troubles

I have a LavVIEW 2009 SP1 application that uses the DSC module to communicate with a Mitsubish OPC Server (v6.01). The connection takes a while but eventually everything runs fine. I am monitoring ~100 labels (tags) in the PLC. I keep getting the NI Error -1950679030 (unspecified error) during statup. I let the SW keep trying to read the tags and eventually the error goes away and every thing is fine but it takes about 5 minutes.

Thanks for the post, I have a few questions in order to have a better idea of what you are trying to do:
Has this issue always occurred or has it just recently started?
How is your application currently set up, are you using OPC IO Servers and bound variables to monitor tag information in LabVIEW or do you have another software configuration?
Do you have successful OPC Server communication during the beginning stages of your application? To test this you could use the OPC Quick Client to monitor if your tags are updating during the period when you get the unspecified error.
Do you have your firewall settings turned off?

Issue with create controlfile script that was generated from trace file

I am able to restore a control file using [RMAN> restore controlfile to '....' ] and then mount the database without problems one the CF restore has taken place, it is just when I attempt to create control file using the able commands that I get the preceding error.
As this control file statement that is attepting to create a control file has never had any information about datafiles is this why I am seeing the error?
Have checked metalink & web but yet to find a reason why this is occuring. Please advise.

Hi,
You deletd all the data files that is the issue. So it is complaining that it can not find system tablespace datafile. If you just wanted to recreate the controlfile then just delete control file. Why did you delete data files.

Generetaed control trace flle is used to re-create the control file. This not not a way to create/restore data files. They should exist for control file to be created.

Weblogic 11g statup error.

Hi I am very new to oracle weblogic. I installed weblogic server 10.3 on fedora 14 in development mode. After installation It startup first time successfully. but when I try to start it again, it shows following error and don't do anything. Process is stopped here.
Error is :

Hi Amar,
I think you have given the wrong string in the filter, you are getting "*Closing socket as no data read from it on 95.66.7.15:58,089 during the configured idle timeout of 25 secs*" and you have given in the filter "*Closing socket as no data read from it during the configured idle timeout of 5 secs*".
You can change it and see if that works for you.
Also the above option is just to suppress the issue which are getting which in this case is fine as its just a warning message, however you can even try to tune few of the follwoing parameters that too would help you to remove this warning message.
1. Set the parameter -Dweblogic.client.socket.ConnectTimeout=XXX, in the start-up script of the server which you are seeing this issue under JAVA_OPTIONS
Note: Where "XXX" is the value in ms.
Example:
-Dweblogic.client.socket.ConnectTimeout=500
2. Try tuning the duration time to a higher value from the below Console path
Server -> Protocols (tab) -> HTTP (sub-tab) -> Duration

I understand you’re getting this message on boot.
First thing I would like you do is run a system file check. If you’re not sure how to do that just click on this link and it will show you how.
I believe this is some type of program that launches when the PC does, there is a good chance it is a program that runs in the background so you might not physically see it running on the screen. Below are the steps to access your statup items, i would recommend disabling all of them and restart and see if the message comes back up.
Access startup items:
Go to start in the bottom left corner.
Type msconfig in search box (do not press enter)
Click on msconfig up at the top.
When the smaller box comes up click the startup tab across the top.
In the bottom right corner of that box click disable all, then apply, then OK.
The PC will prompt to restart go ahead and accept.

Java Error While Running Upgrade Assistant

Hi,
We are in process of upgrading SAP from 4.7 EX 2 to ECC 6.0 in I5/V6R1M0 on
AS400.When running the statup of the UA server we are running into error saying
that" Unable to start Java shell, reason code 3006". Any Idea what could be the problem.

lets me assume that
SAPSYSTEMNAME is set to <SID>
INSTANCE_NAME is not set at all
and most probably
SAPLOCALHOST is set to <server_name>
Can you verify that the values are meaningfull (real SID, something like DVEBMGS00, real server name) before you call command UASERVER?

Error when starting up tomcat

When I try to statup Tomcat i get this error
Cannot find the file "-Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=flase"( or one of its components ). Make sure both the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

I am assuming the flag is set to 'false' rather than 'flase'. However, do you have JDK 1.4 installed? Is JAVA_HOME set as an environment variable? Is JAVA_HOME/bin on your PATH? Finally, you didn't try and modify any of the batch or shell files, did you?

Installation error when installing Oracle 8.1.7

I'm currently upgrading 8.0.5 with 8.1.7. When installing 8.1.7 I receive the following error message:

Please check up if any TNSListener (of older version , from previously installed RDBMS ) is already running in the system.
Statup->controlpanel->Services->%TNSListener%.
If so, please Stop the listener,while you install the oracle.
Else, While you install oracle, don't create starter database.First install Oracle, after that, create the DB using "Database configuration Assistant(DCA)", life will be easier!!

ORA-00205 Error

i have installed Oracle 8.1.5 Server on Windows 2000 Server, the installation goes well, i have created Database ORCL, now when i connect it it gives ORA-12638 Error however i am able to solve it by modifiying the sqlnet.ora
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
but now again i am getting error when i go to SVRMGRL and start the Database with STATUP option it gives error
ORA-00205.
now when i see the Control files there is no Control file over there as mentioned in INIT.ORA file.
Pl. tell where is the Problem

It seems that the controlfiles are missing from the location.
See, if they are are moved or renamed by mistake. If so, then, move them to the exact location, mentioned in init.ora file.
If not, you can always create a new controlfile, refer oracle docs on how to create a new controlfile.

Planning Provider Error

Hello,
In Planning Ad-hoc using SmartView, when I retrieve large amounts of data I get "Planning Provider Error". I looked at the logs and WebLogic Admin Server console and it seems Planning is running out of Heap memory during huge retrivals. I added statup attributes to Planning Application server through WL Admin Server console to Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m but still got the same issue. I also noticed that even after restarting the Planning service, the Admin console still shows as max available 512m. I even restarted the WL Admin server but no luck.
I am sure a lot of you would have optimized the WL. Am I doing the steps right? Should I be doing something differently? Where can I check to see if the changes were implemented?

If you are starting up the planning app server using a windows service then you would need to update the JVM max in the registry, they will be under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\Planning0\HyS9Planning
If you are just trying to retrieve large amounts of data you could try connecting to essbase instead of going through the planning layer, this should hopefully improve the retrievals.

Lenovo U410 - Win8 / Unable to access OS + BIOS on statup

Hi Guys,
I hope that someone can provide some assitance for me please?
About 1 week ago, I was using my Lenovo U410 ultrabook without any issues when I decided to power off as normal. I did this but it wouldn't power off automatically, as the screen would go blank but the power light would remain on but continue running. I left it for about 30 minutes before deciding to force shutdown by holding down the power button.
Then when turning the laptop back on, it would normally take about 10 seconds to reach the login screen but now it was taking about 2 minutes. Eventually it would get to the login screen and I could login normally.
I tried to find some solutions to this but all that was recommended was to make sure I had the latest updates and run a virus scan. I did all the above and everything seem to indicate that it was all updated and no virus/malware detected.
NOW, however after powering down my laptop about 3 days ago, when I boot up I recieve a blue error screen advising the following:
Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required deivce isn't connected or can't be accessed.
Error code: 0xc000000f
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installtion media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
This error provides me with options to go to the Statup options (F8), the UEFI Firmware option (Esc) or Start normally (Enter)
Whatever option I select I just get brought back to the above error message. Even when I power up using the Novo button, I get the 4 options or Normal startup, Bios, Boot Menu and System Recovery but each option brings me back to the above error screen.
I don't have any disc or media as nothing came with the laptop, all OEM, and I have no idea what to do?
Any suggestions will be very welcome as I'm at road block and not sure how to go about fixing this?

I think that it's the case of bad hdd or else the hdd is not connected properly in the port. So i suggest you contact support if you are under warranty.

DSU Execution Error: More then one instance found for name: DVEBMGS00

Hello,
try to start an Upgrade from SAP4.7x110 to ECC6.0 EHP4 SR1 by running the statup.but. I recieve immediatly the error. DSU Execution Error: More then one instance found for name: DVEBMGS00.
The System is a fresh homo.sys-copy (comming from DVEBMGS00). On the harware was running in former times an instance DVEBMGS00 but the SID was a different. I allready looked if there is still something on the host from this last installation but nothing found.
Any suggestions
