Zwei Vorschlge.
http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/cant-install-digital-editio ns.html
Two genera lsuggestions.
I think the first is quite likely to be the problem in your case, but always difficult to tell.
The second often helps.
~~~~~
Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people.  Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. If you are using 10.7, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1265248?tstart=0
~~~~~~~~~
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1).  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/cant-install-digital-editio ns.html
The forum software is sometimes corrupting the link above.  There shouldn't be a blank in 'editio ns.html'.  The following redirects to the same page: http://tinyurl.com/diged172
Some people have found ADE trying to upgrade automatically.
It appears (not 100% sure) that if you install ADE2.0 as a new install (not as an upgrade) that your 1.7.2 will continue to run.
Probably best to say no if 2.0.x installation asks if you want to migrate your library.

  • Error 1 is to open file vi:. Openfile occurred - Fehler 1 ist bei Open File .vi:Open File aufgetreten

    Hi there,
    I'm using Labview 7.1 and Windows 7.
    I built a VI and it ran perfectly yesterday. Today when I tried to run it, the following message appeared:
    Fehler 1 ist bei Open File+.vipen File aufgetreten
    Mögliche Gründe:
    LabVIEW:  Ein Ausgabeparameter ist ungültig.
    NI-488:  Befehl erfordert, daß der GPIB-Regler der aktive Regler ist.
    Translation (google translator):
    Error 1 is to open file vi:. Openfile occurred
    Possible reasons for this:
    LabVIEW: An input parameter is invalid.
    NI 488: command requires that the GPIB controller is the active controller.
    In the attachment I am sending the file. The file is very simple. I'm just importing some data from excel.

    I have the VI in a loop, because I want to make operations with a specific cell from Excel in each iteration. First loop, use the first cell, second loop the second one and so on. Maybe there is another way to do that, but that is how I figured it ou. If you have any suggestions to make it simpler I appreciate.
    First of all, you don't have an "excel" file, which is a proprietary format. You have a delimited plain text table with semicolons separating columns and linefeeds separating rows.
    You have only one loop. You are probably talking about first iteration, second iteration etc.
    Your loop spins so fast that you will only see the last row after the VI has completed. Use a small wait.
    All you need is the following code (looks slightly different, because it is LabVIEW 2010). This will display all rows in sequence for however many rows you have. If you only want to display the first 5 rows, you can wire a 5 constant to the N of the FOR loop.
    LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

  • Can't add .ACSM files to ADE, message: "Error! Check activation"

    I am using Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 with a NOOK Simple Touch, running on a 64-bit 2009 Windows 7 machine. Recently I have been unable to download my library ebooks to my Nook. The electronic library I am using (a derivative of Overdrive, I think) only allows the download of books in the .acsm format. However, recently, I am unable to open the books in ADE. Instead, the only option I have is Adobe Reader. When I select the 'Browse' option and choose ADE and hit 'OK', nothing happens and it doesn't show up as an option. When I try and manually add a file to my ADE library, I get an error message saying 'Error! Check Activation". The only thing I even got halfway working was when I downloaded ADE 1.7.2. I got the .acsm files into the library (still, I had to add them all manually through the ADE interface). However, my NOOK will not open these files, even when using ADE 1.7.2. These are the things I have tried:
    -Downloading an e-book (in .acsm format) from the Digital Editions free book selections. Same issue
    -downloading and redownloading Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 (and removing the other program)
    -Downloading and redownloading Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 (and removing the other program)
    -Deauthorizing ADE (Every time it just says "Unable to erase authorization. Please try again after some time.")
    -Adding a book in ADE 1.7.2, getting ADE 4.0.3, transferring the book to the newer software, deleting 1.7.2, and syncing my nook with 4.0.3. Nook says it's not authorized
    -Doing a factory reset of my NOOK
    -Unblocking the .acsm files by going to Properties>General
    -TRYING (and failing) to automatically associate .acsm files with Adobe Digital Editions. Like trying to open a downloaded file with ADE, I get no response when I browse and select i
    (SIDE NOTE: my Adobe IDs all match. I know that is also not the issue).
    I think the issue here is that something is preventing .acsm files from opening in ADE, and nothing in particular is wrong with my NOOK. My only guess (which is probably misguided) is that Windows can't process my request for ADE to be the program to open .acsm files because it's in the x86 program files folder and not the default Program files folder. I've never heard of that being a problem but I can't think of another reason.
    If anyone has any ideas, please give them to me. I am actually typing all this for my grandmother, and she is going crazy without her library books.

    On the deactivation issue- I just had a similar issue where I could not deactivate and had to manually deactivate by deleting the activation information from Windows registry. That might help you as well.
    Follow the instructions below the disclaimer on this page: Error "E_AUTH_NOT_READY" | Digital Editions
    Or if you are more computer savvy, simply close Adobe Digital Editions and then delete this registry key:

  • "E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED" error when trying to open an .acsm file inside Adobe Digital Editions

    Good evening,
    I get the above error message inside ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS. I did the following before getting this error:
    a) bought three books from Google Play
    b) Downloaded the three .acsm files reffering to the books from the google play online page and added them to library(in Adobe Digital Editions-ADE for abreviation from now on), without using any authorization.
    c)the books opened successfully and with no problem.
    d)I decided to make Adobe ID. After I made it I made authorization inside ADE and erased in the path ''C:\Users\SEA\Documents\My Digital Editions'' the three pdf files reffering to the books witch where downloaded after completing the steps b and c.
    e) this was where the problem began... from there on I wasn't able to redownload the books again inside ADE so I can read them without using the browser and when I try to reopen the .acsm files(for downloading the books and making them accessible inside ADE) I get the error message ''Error getting license.License server communication problem: E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED'' .
    Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this problem?

  • Server Error when trying to open .acsm file

    Hello,
    I installed Digital Editions v2.0 on a Windows 7 (64bit) computer. I allowed this program to go through firewall.
    I have authorized my computer using my AdobeID.
    When trying to open the .acsm file to get an epub book which I just bought I get the following error:
    "Error Getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN".
    Could you please help?
    Thank you.

    Hi, I am having the same problem when trying to convert my books from Google Play to epub format on the computer to move to my Nook tablet.Were you able to get any resolution from the content provider? When you say that you erased everything before and after the fulfillmenttoken area, could you be more specific (i.e.did you remove all of the previous content or only the content located in that specific tag?) My html and xml coding is a little rusty so any information you could provide would be extremley helpful. Thank you so much!

  • Unable to open acsm files in ADE. "Error! Check activation." Any idea?

    Unable to open acsm files in ADE (e-books I have recently bought and borrowed, too). I get the message "Error! Check activation." The ADE programme is authorized on both PCs in use. Any idea?

    Try de-authorizing and then re-authorize the computer.
    Please make sure that you remember the user-id/password correctly.

  • Can't open an acsm file. Error: E_ADEPT_USER_AUT

    Good night everyone.
    I do not know what to do anymore... I purchased an ebook but cannot open the acsm file with ADE. My ID is correct, the computer is authorized, I downloaded the file properly from the store... But every time I try to open the file, this error appears:
    Error getting license
    Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_USER_AUTH
    I'm in Brazil, using Windows 7. My system time and date are correct (for Brazilian standards, of course). I bought the book from an Spanish online store.
    I already tried downloading and intalling again ADE and deauthorizing and reauthorizing it several times. I contacted the store, but they  did not answer me yet... Adobe live chat also could not figure out the problem, and told me to come here try to find the solution...
    I really need to open this ebook, and it's getting very frustranting... Does anyone know what I should do?

    I've seen this issue before with Windows 7.  It could be related to the
    security settings for the firewall that permit certain applications to
    operate through the firewall.  Or, it could be related to the way ADE runs
    under Windows 7.
    Here is one solution to the firewall issue from a post on this blog:
       1. Using the search bar in Win 7, type in "Allow". This should pop
       up the link to "Allow a program through Windows Firewall". Click on it.
       2. Click on the button that says "Change settings".
       3. If Adobe Digital Editions is listed, click it. If it is not listed -
       Click on "Allow  another program.." Find Adobe  Digital Editions and click
       on it.
       4. Click on OK.
       5. Open the acsm link through Internet Explorer.  It should download no
       problems.
    Compatibility under Windows 7 appears to be an issue also.  Here is text
    from another post that discussed what was going on with someone else's
    system:
    I run Windows 7 and had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the
    program and turned off my firewall but ran into the same problem until I
    right clicked on ADE in the start menu and clicked troubleshoot
    compatibility. The wizard switched the settings to the Windows XP Service
    Pack 2 settings and it worked brilliantly.
    Hope this helps!

    how do i open acsm file on my windows pc? i downloaded adobe digital edition, but it says error, check valuation?
    thanks in advance

    I'm wondering if that is similar to the issue I've encountered before, where the file association for acsm is not to ADE but a certificate file. If you could try right clicking on the acsm and 'open with' and search for ADE and make sure 'always open with this' is check marked, that may, I repeat may, help.
    If you've already done this, I don't know what to say, that's just what I've seen.

  • I'm running Windows 7.0 and have installed Adobe Digital Editions 3.0. When I try to open the downloaded acsm file, Windows Media Player tries to open it and can't. Why isn't Adobe DE opening the file? Thanks for help!

  • Expired acsm file

    Starting Friday, when attempting to download books from my local public library, I started receiving an Overdrive error message stating, "Expired ACSM file. Please refresh the web page you downloaded this title from and try again. (error code 1069)."
    I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 and have not had a problem like this before.
    I've searched the web and have done the following:
    Double-checked my time zone, time and date on my device;
    Uinstalled and reinstalled Overdrive; and
    Deactivated and reactived my Adobe ID.
    None of these have worked. Any idea what to do? Thanks in advance.

    I've seen several messages about problems like this with library downloads
    in the past two weeks.  I'm beginning to suspect that Overdrive issued an
    update to their software that libraries are installing now.
    IF - and I mean 'if' - your time settings on your computer are correct, AND
    they have not changed since you tried to download your ebook from the
    library, THEN something changed on the library's end of things (notice that
    the syntax is the same as a programmer would use).  Since you're getting an
    Overdrive error message, there's nothing that you can do with ADE to 'fix'
    the 'problem'.  I'd go back to the library technical support and talk with
    them.
    Hope this helps!

  • ACSM file reached GOOGLE DEVICE LIMIT

    Hi
    I recently purchased a E-bbok from Google book and it appears to be a ACFM file. then I downloaded it to my laptop and open it with ADM.
    At this point, I authorized my laptop without any ID.
    Then the system broke down and I re-installed the OS
    When I tried to re open the ACSM file with ADM, it showed E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED.
    SO HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM?

    I recently formatted windows, in doing so I had backed up my old Adobe Digital Editions library. /Documents/My Digital Editions/ I tried opening an ebook from my Google Book store by downloading. It prompted to login and I selected the option to authorize for this computer. After that I started to receive the error that everyone else got. I think opened up the digital library seeing my books there that I had copied over. It asked me to input my authorization information again. Then everything started to work and I'm not able to download again. Hope that helps.

  • Cannot open an acsm file

    I have been trying to open an acsm file using Adobe Digital Editions 2.0, but all I get is a message saying Unable to download  Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN. I have had this problem once before, but after leaving it a little while I tried again and it worked, but this time I have been trying for 2 days now. I have paid for this book and it is part of a series I am reading, so really want to read it and really don't want it to have been a waste of money either. Any suggestions?

    See if the following suggestion from http://forums.adobe.com/message/4942307  helps:
    3. jarek_bolo, Nov 8, 2012 9:06 AM   in reply to Derek Leng Report
    @Derek your tips solved the problem. When I opend .acsm files with WordPad I saw that there are lots of text lines which weren't XML. Ereased everything before and after <fullfillmentToken...> opening and respectivly closing tags and everything works like it shoudl.e
    I will inform my content provider that .acsm files downloaded from them are polluted.

  • ACSM files cause Adobe Digital Editions to crash

    So, I've been reading these forums trying to find an answer, but I haven't read about someone with the same problem. (If you know of a discussion where a solution was already posted, please link me if possible.) So, I decided to post this issue and see if anyone has some ideas about what to do.
    I'm running OS 10.6.8 and the most recent Adobe Digital Editions. ADE can open/download some acsm files perfectly fine. However, for many, the application unexpectedly quits as soon as I try to open the acsm file. I know it's not the file, since I can send the file to someone else who uses the same computer and ADE version, and he can open the acsm just fine. I also know it's probably not ADE itself or my connection/firewall/etc., since I can open/download other acsm files perfectly fine. However, there seems to be a large number of acsm files that simply won't work for me and cause ADE to quit unexpectedly. Like I said, these same files work for someone else running the same version of ADE. Where should I look for the problem? These are not public library books. I do research at a graduate school, and these are ebooks that my school has paid for (the tech people there have been unable to help me). The person I sent the acsm files to test is not part of the institution, and yet he can still open the acsm files that I downloaded but can't open. So, I don't think it has to do with authorization either.
    Does anyone have some trobleshooting suggestions beyond what I've just enumerated? Yes, I have uninstalled it and redownloaded it several times, along with essentially every other suggestion I've read on the forums, and still, many acsm files simply cause ADE to unexpectedly quit. If someone really wants, I can paste the entire error message that's given when it unexpectedly quits.
    Thanks for any help.

    I have the 4.0.3 version and when i open the ACSM I get the "fulfilling license" window and then it crashes.  i have uninstalled, reinstalled, authorized & deauthorized ADE.  I tried to use my Overdrive account ID to authorize ADE, but when i downloaded a book, i got an error message so i deauthorized and authorized under my ADE.  i have a mac with OX SY Yosemite version 10.10.2 .

  • Can't open ACSM file

    Hi,  I can't open my ACSM files anymore.  I've been using DE 1.7 for a while and had no problems till one ebook came up as an "Error to Licensing...".  I tried to reinstall DE again but it wouldn't work from the "Install" prompt, so I went and followed the directions for the manual installation, with the "digitaleditions1x5" file deleted manually as well.  Now DE is reinstalled but it won't open any ACSM file at all.  I'm so lost.  I've been searching the forums forever but doesn't seem to be anything that addresses this specifically.  Can anyone help?  Thanks so much in advance.

    I recently purchased an ebook, but when I try to open the acsm file, I get the following error message:
    Error getting license
    Server communication pfoblem
    E_ADEPT_URN_UUID_SYNTAX
    I contacted the vendor of the book.  They assured me that the problem lay with Adobe and I should contact Adobe.  Is this the case, or are they just being slack?  I would greatly appreciate any advice on this matter.
