Error, but what error?

I've just purchased my Pro key so that I could make H.264 movies but unfortunately something's wrong.
When I go in and choose the export menu everything is fine. But when I try to specify something like the size of the movie or specify compression or whatever you can specify for your movie, the program crashes. No error message, no nothing. It just closes.
I then tried the update in the help menu but it crashed again, this time with the message saying something about C++ run time...
I went to this forum and tried to find something, the only thing I found was some guy who had this run time problem and I followed the instructions there, deleting everything, reboot, reinstall and all that, but it hasn't solved anything.
Please if there are any wise people out there I could really use your help.

Cferror catches error, but no error exists

Hello gang .. I got the following issue with one of my
fusebox 4 apps.
Coldfusion complains that a variable is undefined in a page,
the session variable is a dynamic variable that I put together
after collecting some information. Here is how it works.
A student selects a class: 130L
A sudentt selects the location for the class: Location
Then I set the session variable: session.130L_Location = the
value selected (NY)
If the student selects (decide later) for the location of the
class, then I set the value of session.130L_Location to 0
In the fron end, there are no errors reported at all, however
I keep getting the error email saying that session.130L_Location is
undefined. Now the cferror tag is executed, the error email is
sent, but there is no redirection of the user to the error page.
The user stays in the screen they are in and no instances of an
error are showed to the user.
Just so you know .. at all times session.130L_Location is
defined ..
I'm not sure what is going on here ..

Have you tried using <cflog /> to see if infact the
variable is not in the session?
Try putting the cflog in places like: just above any
<cflocation /> tags, at the top
each template, etc.
You may want to create a UDF that accepts a structure you
want to loop over
(form, url, session, etc.) and the use cflog to show
name/value pairs.
BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE SESSION TOKENS (session.urltoken).

log here" ... />

Error but no error when attempting to deploy to RT target

OK....I have currently run into a very irritating problem. Often when I attempt to run an Actor Framework based project on an RT target (PXIe-8135), I run into the problem where a VI seems to throw an error and causes the launch to fail (i.e. I get an error message in the deployment progress window). It seems that the same VI is not always indicated as the source, but whatever the source, if you hit run on the VI that has a broken run arrow, you inevitably get the error window to pop up with NO errors as shown in the image below. Anyone have any thoughts or has run into this before?

Since reformatting drive didn’t solve the problem, I would recommend reading these links to see if we might be able to find valuable information, by checking the examples and some community information. On the context help it says that we must ensure that the Caller Actor in has already been launched, because if not, the Nested Actor VI will throw an error.

I hope you might be able to find the proper information on that links. You can also try with the example on the community to see if that runs properly on your RT target, and if it does, the problem might be on the program. If you encounter any other issues, it might be a compatibility issue or we need to troubleshoot further.

What do iostat hard errors and transport errors mean?

Can anyone give me some insight into the following output from iostat

Obviously there are 5 hard errors and 8 transport errors, but what does that normally mean? Reseat the drive to fix? Run fsck? How many errors are acceptable before needing to become concerned?

This counters - Solaris realated. It's not permanent for device.
After reboot - all this error counters will be reset to 0.
It's not normal that this counters not 0, but it's not meaning that device is bad or should be replaced.
No Device: 1 - So - possible device was removed and reinserting, may be transport porblem.
This disc - FC-AL. So it may be problem on other device in loop.
Is it interanl or external disk? What server ?
Soft, Hard, Transport - it's level of error when operating with this device. For more inforamtion need
analyze /var/adm/messages.
Where fixed wha error happens and more detail information.

The recovey drive. It keeps trying to start but shows error and can not delet it.

I'm sorry to say that I'm confused by what you are trying to explain.
The recovery drive is giving an error. What error are you getting?
You can not delete the recovery drive so that is not something you want to do as it's what is used to recovery your computer in case you have to do a complete system recovery.
How does your printer play into this?
Turn off repair drive that was downloaded? Did you download software?
What model computer are you using?
What operating system?

TS3694 Just took my 1st gen iPod out of it's original box, never used before. Plugged it into my new Mac book Pro and it recognizes that the iPod is in recovery mode but when I click to restore, error 1611 comes up - but that error code doesn't say what

I had an 8GB 1st gen iPod in it's original box in storage and just took it out to hook it up. Charged it overnight, plugged it into new Mac Book Pro and it was recognized as being an iPod in recovery but other identifying information was all indicated as "n/a" (so, unknown OS, etc). Error code 1604 came up so I downloaded iTunes on the Mac Book and it is currently showing version 10. But now when I try to restore the iPod, error code 1611 comes up and the troubleshooting doesn't tell me what else to try. The USB connector that came with the iPod was also never used before - brand new also from the box so that should be fine. I also tried a different USB port on the Mac Book. Any ideas?

Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

Did you partition and format the flash drive first? See the following:
Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.

So as a result I tried to reformat the hard drive and reinstall, but I can't reinstall, until I erase the hard drive, but when I try to erase the hard drive it says the erase failed due to an input/output error. What does this mean? What can I do to fix my computer?

The startup drive is failing, or there is some other internal hardware fault.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
