Error C4011 When trying to overwrite an existing propery

Question

I have a TextMessage with an existing property. I want to change the property value.
When I run the following:
message.setStringProperty("Source", source);
it throws a C4100 error. If I call message.clearProperties() first it works fine (but then I have to reset all the properties).
Is there way to clear just one property? Is there a reason you can't overwrite an existing property?

Hi,
I have a TextMessage with an existing property. I want to change the property value after the messages have been sent/queued and the message is in READY state in queue for RECEIVE. Before I use Receive on the message I would like to change the existing property so I open the message in browse mode and try to clear the existing property and set it to a new value.
My code looks like this -
QueueBrowser jmsQB = q_sess.createBrowser(queue, strCorrelId);     
AQjmsQueueBrowser aqQB = (AQjmsQueueBrowser)jmsQB;
TextMessage msg = (TextMessage)aqQB.getEnumeration().nextElement();
msg.clearProperties();
msg.setStringProperty("ABC", sAbc);
It does not work. When I browse the message again it shows the same property. Also I checked in the queue table, message properties remains unchanged. I have also tried with QueueReceiver but it does not work. Can anybody provide a sample code.
Database : Oracle 10g
RDBMS Version: 10.1.0.2.0
Operating System and Version: Windows 2000 Version 5. SP4
Queue and Table created in 10g.
