Error, can't use scanner with in use by other application or user!!!!!!!!!

Ive seen this over time but the only response was to re start, as well some instructions for PC Scanner isc Canoscan lide 210OS is mac osx , mavericks and ysemite and el capitian (beta), same issues on all O/S 's Any please help

Are you scanning from MP Navigator or ImageCapture?
on the 10.9 or 10.10 computers I'd download the ICA driver and the Scanner driver, along with the latest version of MP Navigator from the website and install them, then reboot.

Try to scan using MP Navigator. If you get the error, close MP Navigator and try to scan using ImageCapture. Do you still get the error?
I'm not including suggestions for El Capitan because there aren't drivers available for it yet, so I wouldnt expect it to work.

Finder is freezing - then can't use any other Applications

Hi - Using three year old macbook and no problems til today. Was editing documents in pages, saved one as a pdf (as normal) then suddenly, nothing would work when I went back to original pages document - (I am doing this all the time so nothing different) I then noticed that although I had iCal and Address book open, I could do nothing with them. Then tried to work on the pages document again and although cursor moves, I could affect nothing. The only way I was able to sort, was to log out, restart or shutdown (it's happened several times now and all these work). Things then work for a while before locking with 'finder' on top bar.
One other thing I've noticed, whether it's related or not, is that if I try to open 'All Files' the icon sort of flashes but does not open. This has also only just happened today.
Out of AppleCare and so they could not help other than to say they would send me 'troubleshooting' links which haven't arrived. Help!

First off, do you have all of your files backed up?
Have you ever replaced the hard drive?
Try starting up in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key while booting. Continue holding the Shift key until you see the login window. It may take 5 or more minutes to start up as Safe Mode will try to repair your hard drive if there are issues.

You are certainly welcome to try. We have not tested this environment in anyway and you may face difficulties with Adobe Creative applications that require heavy use of the CPU. I also would be surprised if Acrobat could be installed in this environment due to it's dependencies to system resources.

Only the original cellular provider can authorize unlocking. You will need to contact them to determine if they offer unlocking and if the phone qualifies.

Word 2007 - Save as Pdf gives error - This file is in use by another application or user

I have MS Office 2007 Small Business.
For months I have been using the "Save as PDF/XPS" option to save my word documents as PDF files.
All of a sudden, when I click on the publish button within the "save as PDF dialog", I get the error:
"This file is in use by another application or user."
- I have tried creating a new word document and I still get this error when I try to save-as pdf.
- I have tried opening a document that previously was able to be saved-as-a-pdf, and it no longer works either.
- I have tried saving from other office applications (excel, powerpoint) that also get errors now.
I have not personally installed any new software that I recall between when this worked and stopped working for me.
As far as I can tell there have been no updates explicitly for save-as-pdf in office.
Is anyone else seeing this problem all-of-a-sudden?

I just encountered this problem while trying to save a pdf from Excel 2007. I had recently updated to Adobe Reader 9.1.
I received the same error message you're reporting here when I went to Word 2007 and tried to save a pdf file from it as well.
I uninstalled Adobe Reader 9.1.
Reinstalled the Office 2007 pdf plug-in
Successfully created pdf files from word and from Excel (which is what I needed to do in the first place).
I then reinstalled Adobe Reader 9.1 so I could read the PDF files I had just created in Excel and word.
I then tried to create pdf files from word and excel. Error messages are back and I'm unable to create pdf's from word or excel.
So.. why does Office 2007 pdf plugin not work when Adobe Reader 9.1 is installed?
Frankly I'm getting tired of uninstalling Adobe Reader 9.1 every time I need to create a pdf file in Word or Excel.

that's correct. Cloud software can be installed on Mac and/or Windows for no extra cost. No platform swapping process is required.
On the Mac simply sign in to creative.adobe.com with your Adobe ID and download the software. Same as you did on the PC.

Hi Kostya,
Any chance you can elaborate a bit more on what you are trying to do? By definition, you cannot run an APEX application, outside of APEX, but it is only HTML and Javascript at the end of the day, with some clever logic behind it. No reason why you couldn't create your own HTML pages that perform similar tasks.

Thanks for your post and welcome to Nokia Discussions.
If you've downloaded the Facebook application from the Nokia Store, please delete the application via Menu > Select the application > Options > Remove.
Once you've deleted the app, reboot the phone and reinstall the application; you can redownload applications via the My Stuff section in the Nokia Store.

Try disabilng the Enable Disk Use option from under the iPod's Summary tab, applying the changes, and seeing if that helps.
Otherwise, temporarily disabling any antivirus, security, firewall, or file indexing software that may be running on your system and then try restoring your iPod again.

iCloud is not supported on 10.6.8, the minimum is Lion 10.7.2.
You can make mail work by manually entering the account however:

A very small portion of the map is cached in memory when offline, so you can see the last area you looked at, but as soon as you want to move the map, or look elsewhere it will need an internet connection to download from Google.
There are standalone map apps available in the AppStore if you search for the area you want.

The reset link will only work for the rescue email address that you currently have on your account. If it's wrong (you won't be able to change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to correct your rescue email address for potential future use
