Error click (GIF Images, 1x1 pixels)

When I am surfing and clicking in Google (especially their pay click sites) I am often getting a blank white screen with "click (GIF Images, 1x1 pixels)" at the bar. What is up and how do I fix this. This makes me crazy.

By the way it happens every where, not just Google, I am just in Google mostly...

It is Kaspersky that is doing that. It intercepts the content and passes that image to Firefox instead of the real content. You should complain on the Kaspersky forum about this if you disagree with the decision made by Kaspersky to send such an image in this case.

  • I google a topic, then select one. New tab reads something like "search.asp (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels), page is blank. Usually can enter web address to get webpage, not always. What does"GIF Image" message mean? How can I get the tabs to open normally?

Have Firefox 3.6.17 on Windows 7, although right now when I look under Help it says Downloading Firefox 3.6.17 and there's an "in progress" circle.

Thank you, jscher2000, for posting this answer to my question, and I'm sorry I've taken so long to reply.
Yes, it was my security software. I found out that .GIF files are very commonly used for internet graphics, particularly animations and ads. I use Kaspersky Internet Security. I had the anti-banner setting enabled, which stopped the display of .GIF files. I'd rather not see all the ads, but I've found I can very easily disable the anti-banner setting to view a particular page and then enable it again to avoid the ads when I read the news. There aren't that many pages that are entirely made up on .GIF files.
    Again, thanks muchly!

  • When opening several different websites (but not all), it says "landing (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels) on the tab and it won't load the website. I recently installed Kaspersky & also updated to newest Firefox.

I recently installed Kaspersky & also updated to newest Firefox. This doesn't happen on the other computers I loaded Kaspersky on. I am on Windows Vista with this computer (the others have XP or 7)

But I can't... find... it... It's not there.
Unless you're talking about the entire Mozilla Firefox folder (which isn't what the thing you copied says,) there is no installation folder.

  • Pages fail to load and instead show "invis.gif 1x1 pixels"

Leopard 10.5.1, Safari 3.0.4, Mac Book Pro, Airport to Linksys WRT54Gv6 to Cable Modem.
Sometimes, while viewing certain pages, Safari will fail to load the page and instead show "invis.gif 1x1 pixels" in the window title bar. The content area is plain white. Ironically, this is 100% reproducible when trying to reply to a forum post here.
With the Debug menu enabled, Web Inspector shows the following warnings:
    * Resource interpreted as document but transferred with MIME type image/gif.
    * http://discussions.apple.com/post!reply.jspa?messageID=6033688
    * Resource interpreted as image but transfered with MIME type text/html.
    * http://discussions.apple.com/favicon.ico
I've seen this failure before while randomly browsing the web, but this is the first URL I've come across that is 100% reproducible. Firefox 2.0.0.11 and Opera 9.24 don't have a problem loading the page on the same computer.
    Thoughts?
    Kenny

Thanks iBod! I spent an hour at the local Apple Store and walked away with no solution. But the guy did say check the discussions board and I was also running into the following messages in my title bar:
    adclick (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels)
    click (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels)
    (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels)
I had tried a trial version of NetBarrier that came with my Virus Barrier and Personal BackUp and when I deleted the app my problems began. I had no idea it was the culprit because it happened in both Safari and Firefox.
    Well after reading your reply...
I went into Preferences and deleted the folder called "Net Barrier" and no more problems.
    Thanks again!
Next time I'll check here first!

  • Links lead to blank page, title bar says GIF image 1 x 1 pixels

Firstly - I did post this yesterday but it did not appear - my apologies if it comes up twice.
When I click some links from various pages, including Yahoo and Google search results, I get a blank screen with (GIF Image, 1x1 pixels) in the tab, the correct URL is shown in the address bar. It started occasiobally, now happens with all search results and many (but not all) links from one site to another, whether they open in a new tab/window or the same tab.

  • Gif downloads display 1x1 pixels - no graphics

I'm on windows 7. Sites that have downloads of graphics show in the address bar 'file name.jsp(gif image, 1x1 pixels)'. No graphic is displayed. No problem running on Firefox 3.6.16. Any suggestions?

(I run our company's ad campaigns, so this is a major issue!)
I have encountered several other sites that do this, mostly news sites. I'll try to dig some up.
I looked at my firewall traffic and found no blocked sites; the word "ad" is not blocked, nor is advertising. The page worked perfectly fine right up until the day I upgraded to 10.6; now I can't open it in firefox or safari. I can access it on a PC, which means it's clearly something about my computer....
It just...doesn't display. and gives me the random gif.

    Hi León,
    Welcome to Discussions.
Have a read of this - it sounds like the same issue you are seeing:

  • When following a link, some sited do not display and the heading reads "clk (GIF Image, 1 x 1 pixels)"

When following some links, the displayed page is blank and the header shows "clk (GIF Image, 1 x 1 pixels)". These are usually links from advertising sites or email promotions. I suspect that they are paid for links and somehow the logging info is causing this problem. It has only recently started to happen, so I suspect that a recent update has caused it.

  • Links in Safari go to "invis.gif 1x1 pixels"?

Lately Safari's been showing an odd problem: I click on a button on a web page, and it shows a new, totally blank page with the correct URL in the address bar, but the window is titled "invis.gif 1x1 pixels". For instance, I just entered my email address on a page to be sent something, clicked the Submit button, and got this result. So far as I can tell, the information was not submitted. If I go to the same page in Camino, enter the info and click Submit, I get the expected "Thank you for completing the registration process." page. But in Safari, nothing.
    Anyone else seen this?

I was having this problem, but having read this thread narrowed it down to Intego NetBarrier X4 Banner Filter, which is now switched off. It was fine when it meant that I couldn't open google ads but had become so chronic that even Apple.com wasn't displaying - home page and getamac vids in particular.

  • 1x1 GIF Image presented instad of requested page

For the past few months, I'm regularly unable to get to some web pages and instead get a 1x1 GIF image. I'm running Norton Internet Security (21.6.0.32). I regularly apply all the updates for Win 7, Firefox, Java, Flash, etc. Sometimes when launched from a link in an email the site fails, but typing the URL directly works. One link I can't resolve right now is a customer survey:
    http://links.aspensnowmass.mkt6588.com/ctt?kn=1&ms=MjE3Nzc3OTIS1&r=OTY3MTgwMjM5NDgS1&b=0&j=NDgzNDY1MTc1S0&mt=1&rt=0

That's cool. Maybe a bit out of my depth. I see this in the inspector:
    <html><head><meta content="width=device-width; height=device-height;" name="viewport"><link href="resource://gre/res/ImageDocument.css" rel="stylesheet"><link href="resource://gre/res/TopLevelImageDocument.css" rel="stylesheet"><link href="chrome://global/skin/media/TopLevelImageDocument.css" rel="stylesheet"><title>(GIF Image, 1&nbsp;×&nbsp;1 pixels)</title></head><body><img class="decoded" alt="http://app.bronto.com/?q=ulink&amp;fn=Link&amp;ssid=4851&amp;id=4vw3fc30f8hr6ljtd4jsmk8v61x6b&amp;id2=6l0uq5zv1x0xly13sdj9021rph7mq&amp;subscriber_id=bkomymbncamzbjxrcvjmzepthhawblb&amp;delivery_id=biwaaxrwipaxulwejwdcaxuduxmvbci&amp;tid=3.EvM.Cqs4hg.G-F0.A2t4yg..BLAaOA.b..l.AwlN.a.VMglCg.VMh8XA.BjX4TA" src="http://app.bronto.com/?q=ulink&amp;fn=Link&amp;ssid=4851&amp;id=4vw3fc30f8hr6ljtd4jsmk8v61x6b&amp;id2=6l0uq5zv1x0xly13sdj9021rph7mq&amp;subscriber_id=bkomymbncamzbjxrcvjmzepthhawblb&amp;delivery_id=biwaaxrwipaxulwejwdcaxuduxmvbci&amp;tid=3.EvM.Cqs4hg.G-F0.A2t4yg..BLAaOA.b..l.AwlN.a.VMglCg.VMh8XA.BjX4TA"></body></html>
I'm wondering if this might be caused by the Blockless DNS service we use to impersonate other geographies. I tried disabling this before but I may have neglected to flush the cache. I'll try again later. Can't right now, the wife is watching Irish Netflix.

  • GIF 1x1 pixels instead of web page

I just installed 10.6. Now I am getting a lot of strange errors when I surf.
In both Firefox and Safari, when I try to access some pages/sites online, I just get a "GIF 1x1 pixel" blank screen.
I tried dumping cookies/cache, no dice.
    Suggestions?
