Error Code 0x80020025?

I have keyed this error code in searches here and in the help area. I am trying to find out what it means so that I can take action to resolve this error.
I am trying to burn a CD and as soon as I insert the CD (MAM-A Archive Brand) the PowerBook ejects it and gives me this error.
I have just have this replaced as my original one got a CD stuck in it:

A Google search turned up this cached page from MacFixIt where they reported some worked around the issue by resetting PRAM or performing a Force Quit of Finder.
I might suggest the following:
1. See my "Finder Issues? How to delete its preferences" FAQ.
2. Try the steps in this Mac OS X Hints article. That hint was helpful under Panther for problems mounting the following items after a Mac OS X Update:
- disk images, including but not limited to Error code -536870208;
- external drives, e.g. FireWire drives or iPods;
- CDs or DVDs.
Explanation: What seems to be happening during Software Update on some Macs is that kextcaches (Kernel Extensions caches) are not being rebuilt with the latest versions of kernel components as part of the Update process. The steps in the Mac OS X Hints tip have you delete the relevant files that should have been rebuilt. These are then automatically rebuilt, using the latest kernel components, when you restart the Mac. The first restart you perform after deleting those files takes a little longer than normal due to the rebuilding of the relevant files.

You need to test your DVD disc in another Mac, as it would seem the code is related to the drive and not the media?

Error code 0x80020025 for reading CD on 10.5.6

Hi there,
very frustrated those days. the Internal DVD in this Macbook on 10.5.6 recognize any CD as a blank one, even when I put the Mac OS installation CD in, and give me a message as " the disk could not be used because the disc drive is not supported.
I did not use this DVD too much and when I reboot to windows via boot camp, this DVD works fine.
Hope it is not a hardware issue cause it has been out of warranty for 2 months

OSX DVD/CD Burner Error Code - HELP!

Hey everyone. I hope someone might be able to help me out with a problem I am having.
I just purchased a Plextor DVD/CD burner, and every time I put a blank in it, it gives me an error code (0x80020025). I thought it just might be my burner, but I tried to burn a disc with my buddy's Lacie, and had the same issue. The drive reads all discs fine, it just won't let me set it up to burn one.
Can anyone help, please?! Thank you all so much.

The drive is an external drive. It is a Plextor PX-740UF. I am running it with USB. Just to let you know, I had the same issue with my buddy's Lacie drive when I plugged it in.
The drive recognizes everything BUT unburned discs. When I put one in and I try to open it in Finder, or in iTunes, it gives me that error code.
I have also tried to do the force quit from Finder, and then re-launching, but this doesn't help either.

Attempting to burn cd or DVD receive Error code Ox80020025.

WIth a Mac Pro using 1o.6, I attempt to burn a CD or a DVD and receive an error code 0x80020025.
At the same time, the burner begins to burn the disc.
Also, at random times, the message to burn the disc in the disc drive or eject it pops up. This happens with only no disc in either drive.
What is the error code, and how do I stop it happening and what is causing the random disc message to pop up?
Mac Pro 1,1, 10.6.8, 10 GB memory, Lite on DVD and Sony Blue ray.

First of all you could try the automated fixit for your Operating System from Microsoft on the link below.

If the above fix hasn't worked, try the following. From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Click to open the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. Right click on the first channel and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When uninstalled repeat the process for each channel. Also if an ATA controller is listed, right click and uninstall this. Again, do not delete drivers if asked.
Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. If your optical drive appears here, right click and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked.
Restart your PC and let Windows re-install these devices. Give it a minute or two, then see if the drive is working.
If the above has not resolved the problem, carry on with the process below.
First run the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below again.

Cannot delete file from external hard drive (error code 36) in Finder, but Terminal is ok

I have a relatively new Macbook Pro Retina 15" and have a Western Digital 1 TB Passport. I've been using the passport for about a year now without any problems on older Macbooks in my house. I used to be able to read and write to this drive no problem. I am using the Paragon NTFS for Mac software in order to read and write to the NTFS drive. When I navigate through the drive in Finder, if I try to create a new folder, I do not have a problem. If I try to delete that folder I just created, I get this error:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “untitled folder” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)
The folder has nothing in it whatsoever. I just created it. But if I go to Terminal and I run
rm -rf "untitled folder"
This works fine. Why is Terminal acting different than Finder? This does not happen on my other Macbooks. Thanks in advance.

Thanx for such qucik reply!!! The pages were great, it had an answer for my problem, but unfortunately it also involved me dealing with it only on the MacIntosh HD itself, not on mounted external drive I suppose... So it didn't work they say that there is an icon in the left corner indicating locked folder - I don't see any icon on it. It says you can untick the box to unlock the folder - there is no tick to be unticked. Finally, they say that if I don't have permition or rights I cannot delete it. But how do i change permittion which already says that i can read and write in it? So everything appears to be normal only I cannot delete it. there is not even any warnig telling me I don't have enough rights, it just requires the password and after me typing it in it makes the sound of scraping paper but does nothing more. I aslo had some problems with emptying Trash after being seemingly succesful with one file and had got so far to have them appear in the Trash (no clue how this one actully got there though..) I followd the advice and emptied the Trash with Terminal. The Folder is still there but it shows 0 Kb... So far so good BUT: It is still on the external drive, so I obviously only managed to copy it into the Trash!!! Phew, innit a bit too tight to poor owners, this macbook?? I want my rights back!

Hm, it looks like the file might be open in another application. If you see that file accesss is intermittently denied, you should try disabling the Microsoft FindFast utility.

There was a recent upadate on my PC, however it does not work. A error code comes up which says, min version is not compatible with max version. And I caanot open my browser. Please help.

I do a system restore which allows me to open my browser. Without this I cannot open my browser - the error code comes up every time.

Do a clean (re)install
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Can someone show me how it is possible to save an Oracle defined error code into a variable? What I am trying to do is when a stored procedure fails an Oracle error is raised, such as ORA-xxxx, then pass this code into variable to be saved into a log.
How do I achieve this?

i know the issue,i can give quick fix, but in-order to make sure you don't get another glitch like this.
I would recommend, you to install the scheduler in another schema or another db.
Re-installing the scheduler schema tables will fix this.

TMS alert viewer error message also contains the following information------>command: TMS_MGR_READ_TRANSPORT_QUEUE

Hi All,
I am trying to load data into Billing: Condition Data (0SD_O06) using 2LIS_13_VDKON. First while loading data I am getting error
Record 8778 :InfoObject SOLD_TO does not contain alpa-conforming value 100000 which I changed manually in PSA maintenence and tried to load data again and now I am getting an error (Error 10 in the update) ID:RSAR No119.
I have checked the formula in Transformation and it works fine. Still I am not able to load data.
Please help.

Check the log for the request from the manage screen of the DSO, it will be there next to the monitor button.
Otherwise you can check the error from the monitor screen of the request in Details tab.
