Error Code 0x8004fceb - Intellisync/Desktop Manager 4.3

I keep getting this error message using Vista O/S, yet works fine on XP O/S. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I found this on crackberry - it seemed to work then blew up again....with another error...intellisync error 0x80040fb3....yikes

I only use outlook to sync contacts and my calendar and i just sync once or twice a week and its working fine. But once i get an error i have to delete the calendar file in blackberry desktop manager.
My dad does the following for his blackberry
If you getting an error message on calendar sync delete the "intellisync"
folder and then resync. The folder will be rebuilt.
The folder on my computer is under Users/"me"/AppData/Roaming/Research in
Motion/Blackberry/
I hope this helps! I've read some posts from RIM reps that say this is basically a known problem and when they release the new OS for Pearls it will be fixed and you won't need these work arounds anymore.

  • Error code - 0x8004fceb ... HELP!

    Greetings.  I read the user post in this forum about Blackberry's calendar no longer sync'ing with Outlook 2007 or Entourage 2008.  I have different details to my problem, although the gist is the same ... can't sync Blackberry/Outlook calendars anymore, which is the most crucial function for me.
    Whenever I sync (or try to), it gets partway through my calendars and then I get the error shown in my subject line, "Error code - 0x8004fceb."  The Destop Manager doesn't freeze/crash (as it was doing for me a week or two ago under an older versioni), it just stops and goes back to the Synchronization page, once I've clicked OK on the error dialog.  I've searched Blackberry's support pages for this error, and I only got one even remotely similar match, but it had different numbers, letters and symptoms.
    I have a Pearl 8130, just recently upgraded Desktop Manager to ver 4.7 for a different sync/freeze/crash problem noted above, at the suggestion of Blackberry phone support via Verizon support.  My computer has Outlook 2003 (SP 3).  I don't use Facebook at all, so that couldn't be related to my problem, as in the other user post. 
    I also tried that other post's suggestion (just for the heck of it) and double-checked Options-Advanced-Default Services for the Calendar (CICAL).  That's set to my Yahoo e-mail account as it has always been, which is where I want it to be ... plus I really never get scheduled events through my Pearl/e-mail anyway, just manually input them myself on my device or Outlook.  My Pearl isn't configured for any work e-mail service/server.  And that post's "plan B" suggestion of upgrading ... well, as stated, I've already done that.

    Thanks for the link to this particular thread, Tbilisoft.  The one started by Pierregy was especially interesting, since many people obviously get this error and have had varying levels of success with it.
    I actually already knew about the "delete Intellisync folder" fix because Blackberry phone support had given me that as a final thing to try, if downloading and installing the latest DM 4.7 didn't work.  After deleting Intellisync, I would be fine for one sync, maybe two, then I'd be back to errors that kept me from completing a sync. 
    That was a real pain, because I had to keep reconfiguring my sync every couple days.  Also, in doing this, I sometimes forgot to remove the Task relationship for Start Date between the device and Outlook, which creates another problem -- Tasks would suddenly get weird dates for decades in the past/future after my sync.  This "delete Start Date relationship in Config/Tasks/Advanced" fix does work, BTW, in case anyone reading this thread ever has that problem.
    For me, the final fix (hopefully) was that I had a couple of Outlook meeting dates where the creator of the meeting had change just one instance of that meeting and all users' calendars were updated.  I realized that the same couple meetings kept reappearing for me to reject/accept during sync, so I went to my calendar and deleted those meetings' series, replacing them with a new, "clean" recurring meeting from the current time forward.  That finally (and again, hopefully) got my sync running more consistently.

  • Tour Sync Issues with Outlook 2003 and Error Code 0x8004fceb

    Hello, I have a Tour with DM 5.0, which I sync with Outlook 2003 on my laptop running Vista O/S.  I am having a problem deleting items from the Tour that I've previously added via a sync with Outlook. 
    Some time after syncing, I delete the items from Outlook and then re-sync.  Instead of deleting from BB, the changes dialog box tells me the items are going to be added from the device to Outlook!!!  If I accept changes so that other calendar items will update (from Outlook to BB), Outlook remains fine, but the items do not delete from BB.
    Additionally, existing items on BB are duplicated on the BB during sync.  In other words, I have ended up with 7 entries for one appointment on the BB even though there's only one in Outlook.  This primarily happens with recurring appointments.
    Lastly, despite all this confusion, the sync ends with Error Code 0x8004fceb; check documentation, which I cannot locate on blackberry.com.
    I am set up for two-way sync, future items only.  I even reset to one-way sync from calendar to device to no avail.
    Please help.

    Sorry. I guess I needed to be clearer I have Office SP 2.
    I will tell you that I currently running an older version of iTunes (7.3) because that is the only one that syncs.
    In the newest version of iTunes (and of course the current one) it does give me the option to sync with outlook.

  • Error Code U44M1P210 Adobe Application Manager?

    After installing the trial for Adobe Premiere Elements 11, I get error messages whenever I run updates on my existing (installed) CS5 software.
    The main error code is:  Adobe Application Manager - There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1P210.  None of the CS5 products were able to be updated including Camera Raw.
    Any help/feedback would be awesome.

    After 8 months of troublefee service, I now get Error Code 0x8004fceb when synchronizing my 8200 with Outlook.  Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it?  Thanks!

    C:\Documents and Settings\YourLogonUserName\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry
    if your windows logon  username is for example Steve, then check the folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry

  • Error Synchronizing Calendar using Desktop Manager 4.7, Outlook 2003, on the Storm

    I just installed Desktop Manager on my PC (Windows XP).
    Contacts sync fine.
    Calendar does not sync:
    "Reading Device Calendar" goes fine.
    "Processing Device Calendar" goes fine.
    "Reading from MS Outlook Calendar" is where the error happens:
    Desktop Manager begins reading the 988 Outlook items and consistently stops at item #227, with one of two error messages:
    1) "Intellisync, Unknown Error Reported" or
    2) "Operation Terminated Unexpectedly."
    I followed directions for:

    there is a method involving enabling detailed logs on the Desktop Manager. Then it will give information about that 227th item. check the forum or th public knowledge base (click on the "SUPPORT" button on top of the present page)
    if I were you, I'd just wipe the calendar database on the device, do the sync, and when it stops : open the calendar on the device and see the last event synchronized. it should be the 226th.

     Here is the procedure , Bifoccals!
    The Intellisync folder is probably hidden.
    To Unhide it.
    Go to "Organize" on the top left hand corner.
    Click "Folder and Search Options"
    Click "View" tab
    Highlight "Show Hidden Files and Folders" "SAVE" and You should see the folder.
    Users/"me"/AppData/Roaming/Research in
    Motion/Blackberry/
    After you delete the folder and resync you have to reconfigure the settings
    On the Desktop Manager
    Click "Configuration Tab"
    Click "Configure Synch"
    Select Calendar, Address and whatever you want to synch with the blackberry.
    Save and then
    Synchoronize Now.

  • Error code 50 CC desktop app install

    I tried to update the creative cloud desktop app and it has now disappeared, I tried to re-install the app but it failed with "error code 50". I searched this error code and followed the link in the forum replies http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html, this relates to error code 1. nevertheless I ran the cleaner tool and it completed successfully. i again tried to reinstall CC app for desktop and again got error code 50. Need this sorted asap!

    Sheenag99555967 did you also rename the OOBE folder after running the CC Cleaner Tool?  What operating system are you using?  What type of environment is this computer located in?

    I have made backup of my files through HP Recovery and Backup manager, due to some problems i had with my HP PC. I have reinstalled the PC, and now i want to recover my backup. But when i run the HP Recovery and backup manager through the restore.exe file in the backup folder, on my USB-device, I get an error which says Error Code = 0xEFFFF01, and I can't get any futher in the recovery process. I have tried to find an answer to the problem, without luck, which made my way to this forum. I Hope you kan give me some answers about why i can't recover my files.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see that you are having some problems getting your backed up files from your USB. I also did some research into that error code and didn't find anything either. Let me start by getting your product number so I know what we are working with. Have you tried all the USB ports? You mentioned that you “reinstalled the PC” by that do you mean you used recovery media to bring the computer back to defaults or did you install it from an installation CD?

  • Install Errors-Zen 7 SP1 Desktop Management

    I had a server die that used to do my Zen Imaging. I installed that server 4 years ago. I am trying to install it on a different NW6.5 SP7 server. It goes through the install process, but when it finishes, it has the errors listed below. Does anyone have some ideas how I can make this install correctly?     I seem to still be having trouble. I cannot find a imgserv.nlm on the server. I believe that is what allows me to see what images are sent and received at the server console. I am wondering if everything loaded. Is there a way to test my installation or is there certain nlm's that I should look for?

    Open Activity Monitor on Mac (It's the the Utilities folder in Applications)/ Task Manager on Windows
    Look for "AAM Updates Notifier" in the list of processes (sorting by process name helps)
    Highlight it and then click on "Quit Process" or "End Process", say yes to the warning
    Quit Actiivty Manger/ Task Manager
    Retry the install
