Error code 0xc0000001 0xc00021a satellite c850

Stopped working randomly yesterday. Operating system windows 8. I attempted system restore, didn't work so I reset, and still doesn't work?

HI
you can also try this steps
with laptop completely off
press f8 when you power on your laptop to bring recovery environment
then choose "see advance repair options"
choose troubleshoot
advance options
windows startup settings
then you will find the word "RESTART"
and just allow your laptop to complete the procedure
this will repair your laptop but if it still doesnt work
then you need to reset your laptop
or you can also try to call tech support for further assistance
hope that will work!

  • Error code 0xc0000001 after system recovery attempt--PLEASE HELP--

    HI,
         I have a Toshiba Satellite C855-S5194  Part number: PSCBLU-066003.
To give you the whole story it begins with my screen going blank while watching Netflix while attatched to a HD tv thru the HDMI.  Then the screen went blu and and error code came up. Error code 0xc0000001 and it stated you needed to use recovery tools on your instrallation media.
First I tried using the recovery steps by accessing it in preboot.  That did not work.
So I then ordered a 16GB USB recovery flsh drive. I followed the instructions and I was in the recovery mode off the USB.  During the process the screen stated the laptop will restart a bunch of times during the process, which it did.  Then after it restarted the last time, the screen went blue with an error code 0xc0000001 again.  What can I do?  Does this mean my hard drive is corrupt?  Any insight would be appreciated.
Also, one last thing.  If I try to straight up boot from the USB flash drive it seems to boot but then after the Toshiba welcom logo the screen goes blank and stays that way.

How long were you able to watch this movie before it crashed?
Now is it everytime you boot up, you get the BSOD  0xc0000001 ?
Can you start up in SAFE MODE?

  • Cannot Complete KB2919355 Update, Error Code : 0xc0000001

    Hello,
I encountered the MS KB2919355 update problem last year, and did not succeed in installing this update. I returned to the problem a few days ago and made some progress, however full installation is still elusive.
     I have a HP m7-J010DX notebook, E0K83UAR, Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU, Win 8.1x64
All other Windows & HP updates are installed.
I followed the advice in another message, and performed the following operations,
    ------------------------------------------------- KB2919335 Installation Procedure
    1. download and install
     KB2959977   2.8MB (Jan/11/2015, already installed)

     KB2932046   48 MB
    2. Next, resetting Windows Update components
WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab (downloaded and ran, fixed two things)
    3. The next step is performing a System File Check
      CMD as Admin: "sfc /scannow"
Result: (I fixed this later, see below)
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
       supported in offline servicing scenarios.

    Found the following command,
    CMD as Admin: "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
     The restore operation completed successfully.
The component store corruption was repaired.
Went back to step 3 ("sfc /scannow") and now received
    "Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
    4. Next, please remove KB2919355
      CMD as Admin:

       CMD as Admin:
     "dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase"
    6. Restart computer and then run the offline installer:

     Thank you.

I read elsewhere that using the Advanced Options/Automatic Repair procedure could fix the installation.
I tried this, it did not work, and now the situation is worse. The error report has changed to,
The boot config data for your PC is missing or contains errors
    File : \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
    Error code : 0xc000000f
The "Press F8 for Startup Settings" option no longer appears, and I can no longer get back to the log in screen and use the computer.
    I still have Troubleshoot options,
      1. Refresh your PC
      2. Reset your PC
      3. Recovery Manager (leads to USB based HP Recovery Manager
after about 110sec of blue screen)

    4. Advanced Options leads to,
     1. System Restore
     2. System Image Recovery
     3. Automatic Repair
     4. Command Prompt
     5. UEFI Firmware Settings
Every option that I have tried has failed. I do no appear to have a restore point set (though I thought that I did) so I cannot restore to an earlier date.
F9 Boot Device Option/Boot Manager shows.
    1. OS boot Manager
    2. USB Hard Drive (UEFI)
    3. Boot From EFI File
    4. Notebook Hard Drive
    5. USB Hard Drive
     3. Boot from EFI File leads to a three options the first of which is,
    NO VOLUME LABEL, [Acpi(PNPxxxx, 0)/Pci(yyyy)/Usb(zz, 0)/HD(Part1, Sig00000000)]
and thus eg.(there are other folders), EFI\Boot\en-gb\bootx64.efi.mui for the USB Recovery Drive which leads back to USB Drive Recovery Manager.
There are also two other options, one for the main SSD that will no longer boot, and the other for the computers second drive (the original HDD) that has an earlier version of a booting drive C: (I cloned from the HDD -> SSD and use the HDD as a backup drive, however I left the original partitions in place).
If I try to boot from the earlier data on the HDD (I did not really expect this to work completely) I get to the login screen, and an earlier password initially appears to be accepted, I get a brief Welcome, and then "The password is incorrect. Try again."
I have a recent file backup and am figuring out a way to make a current file backup.
I then plan to attempt a minimized image recovery or system recovery, unless I find a way to return to the login screen.
     Any suggestions ?
      Thank you.

I have a new 2 month old(Aug 2014) hp eliteone 800 all in one computer running win 8.1 64bit. i have two  1 tb hard drives raid configuration. left computer on for an afternoon and when I came back it was off mysteriously. tried to turn on and it
attempted to repair and was never able to repair. hp sent a new windows 8 software to install, they said os was corrupt. installed three times now i get error code: 0xc0000001 file: \windows\system32\winload.efi  missing or contains errors. hp said installation
disc probably corrupt and sent me another. installed twice with same result, error code: 0xc0000001 file: \windows\system32\winload.efi  missing or contains errors. This began after the computer was just one month old and after i had placed 300-400

can you help with this problem?? thanks.

    Hi Richard,
Did you try to repair or reinstall the system when you insert the new media?
Have you tried to carry out a system recovery, which will restore your system back to factory defaults and how was the result?
In addition, I suggest you use the new installation media to do a clean install(full format the old system).

Note: If you have important personal data, remember to insert your drive into another computer to backup your personal data before you do any operation.

    Hi
    >I tried to repair the Winsock using Microsofts articles with no luck
I assume you are meaning this MS knowledge base article:
[How to determine and to recover from Winsock2 corruption in Windows Server 2003, in Windows XP, and in Windows Vista|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259]
Well, I searched a little bit around and found out that the solution described on 811259 article doesnt help in all cases
So searched on 3rd party website and someone has suggested to try this advice.
    Its also from Microsoft:
*[How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Windows XP|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357 ]*
So check it out maybe it helps
If not, then you might be forced to reinstall your OS because the repair option is not included in the Toshiba recovery CD ;(

  • Re: Cd/DVD drive issue - error code 39 on Satellite P series

    Hi,
This is my first request for help.
My CD/DVD drive is no longer recognized and when I go to Device Manager and click on CD/DVD I am informed that the file cdrom.sys is there but cannot be loaded.
An error number 39 is reported.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated but please keep it simple to one line actions if possible.

Of course you can get some advices ;)
I think you would find it faster if you would search in the forum firstly but I will try to help you too.
    There error code 39 is very common issue and can be solved easy;
Check this MS knowledge base article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us
So firstly remove the CD/DVD drive from the device manager.
Then access the registry using the regedit command and remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Reboot the notebook and wait till the CD/DVD drive was installed again.
    Thats it. ;)

  • Yamaha AC-XG audio device error "code 10" on Satellite Pro 6100

    Please can someone help.
I am not getting any sound from my laptop.
In Device Manager and under the properties for the Yamaha AC-XG device it says it cannot start and quotes an error "Code 10".
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still have the same problem.
Can anyone tell me what Code 10 is and how to fix the problem.

    Hi
Jimi is right. You have to update the Yamaha sound driver!
After a short investigation I found this site:

  • CD/DVD drive does not work - error code 39 on Satellite A300

    Good evening.
I've encountered a problem with my Satellite A300.
I can't get the disk drive to function.
Device manager says the driver is current. But also says it is corrupt "code 39".
I have tried downloading new drivers from Toshibas website but they all come up as code 39 unable to install. The first I noticed it was last night when I was installing Norton 360. I had the cd it worked once then nothing.
Has anyone ran across this before?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
I had the same issue and I found a solution here in the forum.
The problem is that your Windows registry is muddled up.
You should firstly access the device manager and should remove the CD/DVD drive from the device list.
Secondly you have to start the registry and have to remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Finally reboot the notebook and test the CD/DVD drive again!
    Bye

  • Re: CDs won't play error Code 19 on Satellite L series

I can't get discs to run, and on investigating the hardware in windows I get the following message: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I tried the update driver utility in vista but it told me the driver for my cd-rom was the most up to date.
I can't use a rescue disc because they won't run.
    Any ideas?

Try removing the CD/DVD Filters from the Registry.
When CD/DVD related software is installed (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), they install filters into the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.
    1) Run Regedit (Start -> Run -> Regedit)
    2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    3) In the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key, and delete the "LowerFilters" key.
    4) Reboot.
If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).
This utility can remove the filters for you:

  • Re: Satellite Pro C870 - No Wireless, Error code 43

Have two new Satellite Pro C870's where the wireless was being disabled every second startup. Wireless NIC in device manager had an exclamation mark and was showing "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
After performing a system restore as advised by support the issue was still there.
Just before sending the two laptops off for repair I undid a setting called "fast boot" in the bios (otherwise set using a Toshiba utility).
Issue seems to have cleared after this.

    Hi
You are using Win 8. Right?
    > Have two new Satellite Pro C870's where the wireless was being disabled every second startup
First of all you should know that Windows 8 does not perform a real shutdown.
It goes just in hybrid mode.
Maybe the error 43 is related to the fact the Win 8 and notebook did not shut down as you expected from a system like Win 7.
If you would search for error code 43 using google, you will get a lot of hits and mostly its system / driver issue.
So first of all I recommend disabling the hybrid mode and performing complete shut down:

secondly try the WLan driver update.
    Regarding the other issue
    >Also had an issue with the function of turning on when the panel is opened: this would cause the laptop to turn back on immediately after shutting down.
This is also an Windows 8 feature which can be disabled:
