Hello,
Attempting to author a basic Blu-ray disc. Everything appears to be ok when I run the build check to make sure that the disc will write out correctly. When I start to build and burn the disc, Encore begins to import the video asset, and then quits with the following error message:
Blu-ray Object: "<Timeline> Untitled Timeline", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Unknown exception"
Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this error? In the project timeline, everything plays ok - picture and sound. I am importing a MPEG-2 file that came out of Compressor as an .m2v file. Not sure if this could be the cause of the invalid format. If so, odd that it imports into the project and simulates ok.

Thanks Stan.
The project originates in Final Cut Pro, so it is easier for me to export out directly from FCP than to make an intermediate file to go into Premiere Pro. Also, going directly makes it more fool proof in terms of potential downstream issues with the MPEG encode.
That said, do you have a file format recommendation if I were to export a master file out of FCP, and then import into PP ?
Regarding if I want the M2V to work, do you know what setting might be causing the error... presuming that's the issue. Does it make sense that I would be able to see the video file workin in Encore, but when I try to then "build" it fails?

Error 100000004 Unknown Session when Company change on Addon

I am experiencing in some customers error "100000004 unknown session", when customer changes company, and Addon has to be reloaded in automatic mode.
Addon is developed under VB.Net running B1 SP00 and SP01 version.
error is aleatory, do not occur always.
Error is trigged when trying to connect DI-API under single sign on mode.
Somebody has any information of what can be causing this error ??

Hi!
I don't know what may be causing this error to you, I eventually get it once in a month or something. When it appears more than three or four times in a row, reinstalling the SBO client helps a lot.
By the way, have you tried to remove the temp folder the diapi is creating? maybe it has gotten corrupted

We have several BPM WDJ applications ( NW 7.2 ) and our users are getting "Failed to Process Request. Request refers to an unknown session" errors constantly.
It appears to have something to do with session timeouts. However, we have set all potential timeouts, but still having issues.
We have turned off all pop-up blockers etc..

File Error: Unknown file. - Importing problem

I recently had some problems getting my FCP 5.0.4 to launch. To make a long story short someone in this forum said that my version of FCP was out of date with my current Macbook Pro running 10.5.5. I found this a little odd because I've had this computer for over six months and have been running FCP the whole time without a single problem. Since funds are tight and I don't have the money upgrade I did some troubleshooting to see if I could make it work again.
I did remember that I had recently moved some of my older quicktime codecs into my library/quicktime folder and when I removed them I was able to launch and run FCP.
Now when I try to import files I'm getting a "File Error: Unknown file" error message. I am able to view all the quicktimes and am only able to import a few quicktimes. I have quicktimes from the last six years that I'm trying to import so there's a good variety of different codes that were used. But I am able to watch all of the quicktimes via Quicktime.
Any suggestions why I might be getting this problem? Any way to fix this without upgrading? Thanks

It's not a problem. It's an incompatibility. Because you have run it for some time without an incident is incidental to its incompatibility.

SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?

Error: Your session has ended or timed out. Please login again. FDM error on "Export"

On logging into FDM URL, with a specific user on clicking "Export Fish" FDM Processes gives the options for load but on the other hand when we click on "Export" from the left panel(navigation). "It throws Your session has ended or timed out. Please login again." Quite anomalous behaviour ,when I try with admin this issue does not exist. In shared service this user has the access for that group with WRITE permissions.
Other relevant info:
Version: 11.1.2.3
DB: SQL Server
Project: Upgraded
User type: Intermediate
Target: HFM
Tried creating a new native user with all admin priv on the FDMApp,HFM app but the issue did not get resolved.
It is peculiar and unable to gain any pointers.

Accordingly get the required role assigned to the user you are using there.
Unlock the user if it is locked
Reset the password and provide the new password in the login settings
Give a try again

How to fight against it? before such it wasn't noticed

I checked the source code when this error is set. this is seen when a session stage packet is received that has no valid idb (aka subscriber interface) for the session ID that was found in the packet together with the vlan tags.
Now this is a PADI, so it is not a session packet to start with.
Next I see that the function that sets this error is only called for on data packets when the opcode is 0x00 in your case the opcode is 0x09 which is a PADI.
what I am thinking that is happening here is that the punt software has provided incorrect pointers to the start of the packet due to a sw bug.
I would like to request if you can evaluate xr513 for this as I see some fixes in 512/513 relating to the punt handling sw that might be of benefit here.

Crystal Reports 10 Error "Unknown Query Engine Error"

Hi guys,
after creating reports with crystal reports 2008 fails,because there's no 64-bit runtime version i try to develope my reports now with Crystal Reports 10 (ships with Visual Studio 2008).
I've minimized the complexity to a minimum - a simple console application without SharePoint or something like that. Now i'm getting the error:
"Unknown Query Engine Error"
when i try to set the DataSource for my report. Of course i created a new report file with CR10 to avoid compatibility issues. Every Users has full permissions on the file system...
I'm using the follwing Code Snippets, which are working fine for Crystal 2008 and don't threw an error while compiling in CR10.

Resolution:
This Version of Crystal Reports (Visual Studio 2008 .Net) doesn't want the crdb_adoplus.dll in the GAC. After i uninstall the *.dll the Console Application run without problems. For SharePoint you have to create a custom CAS which should look like this:

PPro 1.5 Exporting Error: Unknown Error

I've been trying to export a 32 minute video through media encoder to make a DVD in Encore. However I've been having "Export Error: Unknown Error" pop up when the file is 100% complete. I've tried shutting my computer right down (not restarting but turned off), exporting the video as an avi and then reimporting it into both another sequence and an all-new session, but I still get the Unknown Error when I export. Any ideas as too how to resolve this issue?

As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

Wait... you ARE able to complete an export to AVI without error?
Why do you not load that AVI file into Encore for authoring?

If I understand what you are saying, then yes. but I only know about the PDB files because those are the ones I send to my instructor each week and she extracts the data from them, somehow. I did this once before when I lost my password and user name and could not figure out how to gain access to anything on my TX at all nor how to retrieve my user name and password that worked,So I then did the hard reset and I think I renamed the backup folder. So for a while I had two different databases one for the old name and one for the new name. I THINK I got that taken care of as everything with the old name has been archived or deleted. Would this possibly be the reason for the error? When I do the hard reset, 1. Where are the instructions on how to do this again? Can I find them on the Palm user guide? I cant remember where I found. And, 2. I should have the instructions on how to rename the folder on the palm user guide is that correct? and did you mean rename the "backup folder" instead of backfolder?
