Error code 2147287038

I'm using some database subVIs in a LLB developed in LV 7.1 PDS.
I wanted to test the application on another computer where I have LV 7.1 FDS without Database Connectivity Toolset.
I saved all the hierarchy in a LLB, including the database subVIs.
When I'm opening and running the main VI in LV 7.1 FDS, I'm obtaining an error code -2147287038 occured at DB Tools Open Connec (String).vi.
Is this because I don't have Database Toolset installed on the second computer or because LV 7.1 FDS does not allow polymorphic VIs (DB Tools Open Connection.vi is a polymorphic one).
Tom

Hello Tom,
All versions of LabVIEW should be able to handle the
polymorphic VIs.  I do not belive the problem is with
this.  I would start off by checking into
making sure that the database on both computers is the same, and the database
software is installed in the same way, etc…
As far as the software installation of the Database toolkit,
it is against the license policy for that version of LabVIEW and the toolkit to
have it installed on multiple computers (LabVIEW 8 and LabVIEW 8 toolkits have
changed this slightly, but the agreement for LabVIEW 7.1 and prior remains in
effect).  If the user of the other
computer is licensed for LabVIEW and the database toolkit and you wish to test
the software on the other computer, I would recommend actually running the
database toolkit installer program to ensure that the installation goes
correctly.
Hopefully this helps – good luck, and let us know if you
have other questions!

  • Update to Acrobat 9.4.2 failed Error code 1646

I received a notice of an update to Acrobat 9.4.2 and initiated the update. The update failed with error code 1646. I then manually downloaded the update and attempted the update. I received the error message that uninstall of this update is not supported. Is there any way to purge this failed update so I can reinstall it? I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

Hi all--has anyone been able to fix this problem?  I ran into the same exact issue as oloven upgrading from 9.4.5 to 9.4.6.  Now I am trying to upgrade to Acrobat X, but am not able to since Acrobat 9 cannot be uninstalled.  This is the only thread I can find discussing this problem anywhere...
I generated an install log for when I try to install 9.4.6 following the steps SimonATS outlined above.  From a first look through, it looks like the problem may be related to an inability to find old update files?  I took over this machine from someone else, and the updates would have been installed under his username...it looks like that might be causing some mix-ups.
    Any ideas?

  • Rollup Update install error - error code 2771

When trying to install the rollup update 7 on a hub/cas server, I get the following error almost immediately:
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package,.  This may indicate a problem with this package.  The error code is 2771."
I get the same thing when installing from a downloaded install (that I've used on other servers) or via windows update.
I also get two errors in the event log:
    1. MSIinstaller - event id 10005 - same as above but adds "The arguments are: AdminTools" at the end.
    2. MSIinstaller - event id 1023 - "... could not be installed.   Error code 1603.  Additional info is available..."  (no add'l info is in the log file referenced)
I had a similar, if not exact, problem trying to install rollup update 6 and couldn't find any info then...  or now.   Saw one post about disabling symantec endpoint protection (which we don't use) but I tried closing our trend a/v but no diff.
    Oh yeah, the server is Win2k3 R2 x64 SP2.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Frank

Hmmm...  Logging... Who 'da thunk it...  Thanks for the suggestion.   :-)
Below are the all lines from the log containing error or debug.  The "...." means that the previous two lines were duplicated numerous times.
The only real reference I found to the admintools error was at this link but it wasn't very helpful. http://blogs.msdn.com/windows_installer_team/archive/2005/08/17/451516.aspx
    Thanks again for any help
    Frank

I've just spent the last 6 hours trying to find a solution to this. All the steps provided by other user never worked. Running the script separately worked just fine (and YES I was running it as admin). Basically I've come up with a workaround.
The section it's failing on is a CustomAction(VBSCRIPT) that the MSI is calling to 'look for' & 'close' emet_notifier.exe or emet_agent.exe. I know it's not there because I manually removed EMET. When you modify the MSI you can pull out the CustomActions
    piece that is failing.
Step 1: Modify the MSI using Orca. Orca is provided by MS in the SDK Tools. I found this site helpful for getting Orca installed on Windows 7:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/bernhard_frank/archive/2010/03/15/how-to-install-orca-exe-from-the-windows-installer-development-tools.aspx
Step 2: After installing Orca, right click EMET Setup.msi and select 'Edit with Orca'
Step 3: Find all instances of the Custom Action and Drop the Rows: Find > _FA2E7A16_A819_4F3A_AB7E_0A039BE81BD7.  (Right Click each row found and select 'Drop Row'. I found 4 Rows with this entry)
File > Save (or Save As) and Run the MSI.
EMET installed without problems.  Since it doesn't actually fix the problem with Windows (it only fixes the MSI), you'll have to modify future releases of the MSI the same way for that particular PC.

  • Cannot delete file from external hard drive (error code 36) in Finder, but Terminal is ok

I have a relatively new Macbook Pro Retina 15" and have a Western Digital 1 TB Passport.  I've been using the passport for about a year now without any problems on older Macbooks in my house.  I used to be able to read and write to this drive no problem.  I am using the Paragon NTFS for Mac software in order to read and write to the NTFS drive.  When I navigate through the drive in Finder, if I try to create a new folder, I do not have a problem.  If I try to delete that folder I just created, I get this error:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “untitled folder” can’t be read or written.
    (Error code -36)
The folder has nothing in it whatsoever.  I just created it.  But if I go to Terminal and I run
    rm -rf "untitled folder"
This works fine.  Why is Terminal acting different than Finder?  This does not happen on my other Macbooks.  Thanks in advance.

Thanx for such qucik reply!!! The pages were great, it had an answer for my problem, but unfortunately it also involved me dealing with it only on the MacIntosh HD itself, not on mounted external drive I suppose... So it didn't work they say that there is an icon in the left corner indicating locked folder - I don't see any icon on it. It says you can untick the box to unlock the folder - there is no tick to be unticked. Finally, they say that if I don't have permition or rights I cannot delete it. But how do i change permittion which already says that i can read and write in it? So everything appears to be normal only I cannot delete it. there is not even any warnig telling me I don't have enough rights, it just requires the password and after me typing it in it makes the sound of scraping paper but does nothing more. I aslo had some problems with emptying Trash after being seemingly succesful with one file and had got so far to have them appear in the Trash (no clue how this one actully got there though..) I followd the advice and emptied the Trash with Terminal. The Folder is still there but it shows 0 Kb... So far so good BUT: It is still on the external drive, so I obviously only managed to copy it into the Trash!!! Phew, innit a bit too tight to poor owners, this macbook?? I want my rights back!

  • There was a recent upadate on my PC, however it does not work. A error code comes up which says, min version is not compatible with max version. And I caanot open my browser. Please help.

I do a system restore which allows me to open my browser. Without this I cannot open my browser - the error code comes up every time.

    Do a clean (re)install
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

    Regards

i know the issue,i can give quick fix, but in-order to make sure you don't get another glitch like this.
I would recommend, you to install the scheduler in another schema or another db.
Re-installing the scheduler schema tables will fix this.

But while I am releasing any request from develpoment server a error is showing: " Transport control program tp ended with error code 0212 Errors: could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or S".I have chosen development server as domain controller. While activating a request in DSO getting error code 10
    Hi All,
I am trying to load data into Billing: Condition Data (0SD_O06) using 2LIS_13_VDKON. First while loading data I am getting error
Record 8778 :InfoObject SOLD_TO does not contain alpa-conforming value 100000 which I changed manually in PSA maintenence and tried to load data again and now I am getting an error (Error 10 in the update) ID:RSAR No119.
I have checked the formula in Transformation and it works fine. Still I am not able to load data.
    Please help.
    Thanks and regards

Check the log for the request from the manage screen of the DSO, it will be there next to the monitor button.
Otherwise you can check the error from the monitor screen of the request in Details tab.

  • Some data in ... could not be read or written. (Error code -36).

    Hello.
I just got a Lacie 512mb disk, and thought it would be ideal for running my iTunes library off of. Got the disk, ran it through its paces, hooked it up to my Mac mini, and I can't seem to copy hardly any files over. Here's one error (but you can replace "iTunes Library" with any song and it's the same thing)...
'The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "iTunes Library" could not be read or written. (Error code -36).'
So, I think there's disk or file damage, etc. I boot off an external and run Disk Utility, DiskWarrior and TechToolPro against it - everything checks out fine.
But I can't copy files from the mini's internal to my external Repair Boot disk or the Lacie 512. Always that same -36.
So, at first I think it's the mini, then I think it's the Lacie, because it's new, so I reformat it: same issue. And that coupled with it won't copy to my Repair Boot, makes me think the mini again.
But, I've got a g1 iPod mini hooked up (formatted in hfsj+), and I can copy this file to the iPod mini, but no where else. I not sure what this makes me think.
And, I can duplicate the file on the Mac mini. In fact, if it's a song file that won't copy (none of them will), I can play it just fine.
    Thanks.
Mac mini   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

I experienced a problem in a familiar way.
After a recording session I tried to copy the complete folder with session and sound files to another disk (original and target disk both LaCie d2 250 FW800).
Somehow the proces stopped prompting an -36 error over some files.
When I look up these files in the Finder, it seems to have an iTunes audio-file icon instead of a ProTools audio-file icon (and so other standard app to open with). All the other files will copy fine. The files will play with quicktime in the preview window.
    Any-one a solution?
Almost seems like some kind of copy protection, like implied earlier in this thread. I hope it's not. These are the originals...

  • "the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in [name of iMovie file] could not be read or written (Error Code 26)

    Hi all,
I have an iMovie project in iMovie HD 6.0.3. (Mac OS 10.5.8)
It plays, but I cannot copy the file (including saving it to a flash drive). I get either a message
"the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in [name of
iMovie file] could not be read or written (Error Code 26)" or the
message "A project file is missing. The file [name of the QuickTime
movie inside the project.dv] couldn't be opened and is being skipped."
This happened suddenly, I was able to save a backup version numerous
times while working on the project.
I followed some of Karl Petersen's advise on apple discussions. I opened
the package contents, and everything seems to be there. The source file
(original QuickTime movie) is there and can be opened and played. I
replaced the current project file with the backup in the package
contents, but that did not change anything. I was able to export the
movie timeline into a new project as a single clip, but would like to be
able to copy the current project.
    Thanks for any ideas..

Make sure all drives are formatted as "Mac OS Extended". (Journalling preferred, but not necessary).
