"Error code: 3" in [CS4]

Hi there, I'm having a HUGE problem with InDesign and really need your help.
I've been working on a .indd file until this morning, when it suddenly, and apparently for no reason, crashed. I rebooted ID and it recovered the file, but when I tried to save it, ID crashed again and then a message appeared wher it could be read something about my file being damaged and "error code:3".
I'm desperated because I can't do anything with the file; I can't save it as a .indd file, but I can't save it as a .pdf or a .inx either. So I just recover the file everytime I launch ID but then loose it when I try to save it, because the "error code: 3" appears or ID crashes.
I don't know what more I can do, so I hope somebody does.

I did, and I was allowed to, and I could even change the file name (I hoped it would help) but then when I opened the "new" file the error was still there. Also, I've tried again to export it to a .inx file but when I tell ID to do so, it automatically crashes.
Well... there is something that I haven't said... perhaps it doesn't matter but I have to try... here I go, in the same folder where the original .indd file was saved (the one in the pen drive) there was also a .idlk file. I don't know if it was already there before my file was damaged, so I wonder if it can have something to do with the error.
Well thanks again and I'll try to work from my hard drive from now on.

Is it possible you made a typo there? My Photoshop CS4 is fully up to date, and all I have is this file:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.0\VersionCue.dll
Note that there is no .01 in the path, just .0.
In any case, a missing DLL error probably indicates you need to reinstall Photoshop.

Error code when DW CS4 is opened

Today when I pulled up DW CS4, I got this error:
"While executing onLoad in _onOpen.htm, the following
JavaScript error occurred:
In file "_onOpen":
onOpen is not defined"
Then if I click OK to remove the message, I get this message:
"The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
ColdFusion.htm has configuration information that is invalid.
ICERegions.htm has configuration information that is
invalid."
Then when I close DW CS4, I get this message:
"While executing onLoad in TeamAdminTempDelete.html, the
following Javascript error occurred:
In file TeamAdminTempDelete:
delTempFile is not defined"
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Installing photoshop cs4 on an iMac and getting the error code licensing for this product has stopped working. what do i do?

have cs4 on a disk and installing on a new computer with no disk drive. dragged application file onto a stick and transferred to the new computer. but am getting this error code when i try to open. any ideas? thanks for the help

what do you think about download a PS trial version, install it and then use your SerialNumber to active it.
You could use http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html AND note the: "Very Important Instructions" mentioned there.

wow...wssparky thanks a TON. I got the adobe error today and it was driving me INSANE. I *think* the problem had to do with my having to disable all my startup stuff in Windows7 to fix a problem I was having updating some other Microsoft software. Anyway MS said disable everything using the msconfig and it was after that when Adobe stopped functioning (my McAfee is having an issue as well) properly.
At any rate I got the adobe "fix" and it worked GREAT!
I was NOT having any luck to begin with by going to the support area at adobe.com (HEY ADOBE PEOPLE>> TAKE NOTE)
searching "support" for the error code tells me "Your search of Support for error 148:3 did not match any documents." which I find interesting
so I finally googled the error code and found this thread.
now a word to those who are less than kind in their posts and make people feel stupid for asking the question here...I would submit these forums are for us (the users) to help each other (read: be nice to each other) so we can USE the software we OWN.
I'm frankly disappointed that going to the Adobe "SUPPORT" was fruitless. MY problem was with the CS4 suite: I own the master collection which wasn't exactly cheap....it wold be nice if I, as a customer was able to at least FIND Adobe's OWN error code on their support section.

Error Code 6 on trying to install a previously bought CS4 from an older Macbook Pro to a new iMac.

Iam trying to install my Photoshop CS4 onto my new iMac that I used on an older Macbook Pro that no longer works but when I try to install it I get an error code 6. Any help is greatly appreciated.

These illustrate what I'm experiencing.
Image #1 - Shows the template file open and the place it is and always has been saved.
When this template is saved DW does not offer to update the site pages that use this template as expected.
So I attempt to update the pages via Modify:Templates:Update Pages and this is where I encounter the 'error -43' message.
You asked for a file. Please be more specific as to what file or files. Presume you'd want the source code in a text file, correct?

had the same problem here with PSE 8 after system recovery from time machine backup. I also updated to Lion couple of month ago. I also tried all of the listed solutions on the adobe support pages but none of them worked. The folder FLEXNet_Publisher in the systems hard drives folder Preferences, which it says to be deleted does not exist and was only found in the application support folder. I also tried all of the other solutions listed on this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac- os.html and had more or less the same problems, it did not work.
I found the following solution myself by doing this:
go to the folder [hard drive]/Library/Application Support/FlexNet Publisher and make a copy of this folder
then go to the folder [hard drive]/Library/Preferences and paste this copied folder there.
Then try again to start your application and now it should show you the licenceregistry window. Type in your serial number and confirm. Then the application starts and runs properly. So it was on my system.

If you upgrade your OS (most likely OSX) or recover Photoshop from backup, this breaks licensing.
The simplest advice is to reinstall CS4 from your discs.

I have received an error code of 150:30 in my photoshop CS4 after getting a new hard drive installed in my MacBook Pro

CS4 can never be transferred, that breaks licensing. It has to be installed from the discs or downloadable installer and serial number.
Two ways to fix this:
Reinstall CS4.
Use the Terminal app and python script to repair it. 150:30 It's a screenshot guide. Start at post 11.
