Error code 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x7f5f7990
So, obviously I've got some problem with my computer (macbook pro, not even had it for a year).
First, some days ago, safari started chrashing. Then my computer turned off itself several times. Now it shuts down while booting. Also a loadingbar appears on the start screen. I've havn't had any problems befor this.
I made a harddrive test an got the error code 4MEM/40000000: 0x7f5f7990.
Please, can someone help me. Is there anything I can do to save my computer?
thank you in advance!

Macbook Pro shutting down. Hardware error code 4MEM/62/40000000:0x7f537f90
Macbook Pro shutting down. Not the same action making it shutdown. Anywhere from being online to attaching a photo to an email to working in Word or Photoshop. Even after it's closed and not being used. I come back to it being shut off and saying it had to restart because of a problem. I ran the Hardware check and got the Hardware error code 4MEM/62/40000000:0x7f537f90.
I must say I am quite disappointed. I have used Mac for work but had a PC since day one, and I JUST got this Macbook Pro in Dec. I was delighted that Mac usually didn't have as many problems with viruses etc as PC. And now last couple days, constantly shutting itself down. The closest store to me is a few hrs away. I am in South Dakota, store is in Minnesota Any help would be appreciated. Can you post a screen shot of About This Mac -> (More Info) -> System Report -> Memory and click on each DIMM and post the bottom right pane. You can also do the same without a screen shot using just text version using the following highlighted command in OSX Terminal. The output is also listed.

Error code: 4mem/65/40000000 ; 0x80q3af90
what does error code: 4mem/65/40000000 ; 0x80q3af90 mean? How do i fix it?
It could be faulty. It also could be the wrong spec if you didn't use their memory configurator menus to get the exact RAM for your Mac.
If it is faulty, Crucial should replace it. If you didn't use their configurator and purchased the wrong RAM, you'll have to talk to them about swapping it out. -
What does Apple Hardware Test error code 4MEM/1/40000000:OX3bb6b190 mean?
Mozilla kept crashing so I did the Apple Hardware Test and got error code 4MEM/1/40000000:OX3bb6b190. I reinstalled MacOs 10.4.4 (after saving the important stuff to disk of course) and it took about 10 tries to get the 2 disks installed. After the installation, I tried to update to 10.4.5, and when I restarted, the screen was blank. The only disk the computer will start with now is the No. 1 installation disk. What can I do?
Hi
A MEM error code generally indicates a faulty RAM Module. In my experience most RAM manufacturers offer at least a 5 year warranty of their RAM products. Some warranties are for 10 years. Sometimes reseating (taking it out and putting it back in again - properly) the Module will 'cure' the problem. Run AHT afterwards if you try this option first.
If you can remove the offending module and still have enough RAM to be able to do what you need to do then do so.
If not take it to your nearest Apple Repair Specialist who should fix it for you or replace the faulty module yourself and deal with the RAM manufacturer directly.
Judging by the footer to your post you don't seem to have had much luck with this model have you?

Hi all, my 2007 MBP freezes and requires me to hold power button to restart. It's happening somewhat frequently. ( installed new SSD and new battery in the last 2 months)
I ran the quick hardware test ( am running the extended one now) and recieve the following error code 4MEM/11/40000000:505c99b0
Hoped to squeeze another year or two out of this old warrior. Any ideas what this code might be?
ThanksThis is a memory error of some sort. We don't have the Rosetta stone for these errors, so I don't know what the rest means.

Mackbook pro 15inch mid 2012 error code 4mem/9/40000000:0x83e32b90
I did the hardware test both short and extended and got the same error code both times: 4mem/9/40000000:0x83e32b90.
what does this mean? I've never dropped my computer and have taken really good care of it and have only had it about a year. also its been getting really hot while running blizzard games (i.e. diablo 3 and world of warcraft.) is that normal? and its been really slow lately taking 3 times as long to start up and to start applications verses when i first got it. any help would be appreciated can't find anything online and id like to know before i take it in to be looked at.

As mentioned in the subject line: my Mid 2009 MBA freezes frequently. The hardware test provides the error code.
It sounds like a failed RAM but it still works when booted.
Can anybody tell me what was wrong with this MBA and what else can I do to save it?
Thanks!Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
That's a RAM issue. If you want, you can still use your Mac until it gets damaged, but that message tells something bad with your RAM, and what it's worse, the RAM in the MacBook Air is soldered onto the logic board, so if you take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller to get it repaired, the whole logic board will have to be replaced, making this repair so expensive -
What does error code 4MEM/62/40000000: 0x8276f390 mean:
Hello guys. Just did a hardware test and the above code came up. Saw other threads with ALMOST the same numbers and they were all referring to memory. Can this one mean the same and what would be next step? Thank you.
You have defective RAM installed. That means you need to replace it. Reliable vendors are: OWC, DataMem, and Crucial.com.

Memory error code 4MEM/62/
I am using macbook pro 15" early 2011, 16GB RAM, 500 GB harddisk. The problem is the screen turns blue with gray line or distorted, and the system freezes. It happens frequently in both mac os x mountain lion platform or windows 7 bootcamp, using parallel desktop. I have reformated the hard disk and reinstalled the ML and windows 7 through boot camp, but the problem persists. Hardware test conducted, results error code 4MEM/62/40000000: 0x8448b098
One of the RAM modules you added is bad, or not seated correclty.
Return the factory RAM an run another test to rule out the RAM slot itself, then exchange the RAM for a new set.
Do not touch the metal on the RAM modules with your fingers and touch the case to discharge static before handling RAM.

Solution for error code: 4SNS/1/40000000/IBOR-9.426
My computer recently has been running at its best. I did a diagnostic and gave me an error code 4SNS/1/40000000/IBOR-9.426. I wanted to get an idea what this means and what is the solution?
That indicates an internal sensor failure. You will have to take your MBP to an Apple store genius bar for repairs.

What is error code 4HDD/11/40000000
What is error code 4HDD/11/40000000;SATA(0,0)?
Is there something I can do on my own to fix the problem or does it need to be sent to an Apple Tech.Hardware fault at SSD or logic board for same.
You cannot fix it no, indicates a bad connector or failing drives.
backup all data ASAP and contact Apple for free in shop diagnostics and possible logic board replacement. -
Have Mac Pro 13" crash on start up. I ran hardwear test got error code: 4SNS/1/40000000:IC0C-65.828
Mac is only 1.5 yrs old and out of warranty. I searched the net and found code= CPU0 problem but don't know if accurate. If CPU problem I guess a new logic board? I am pretty shocked I have a hardwear prob like this. Any ideas?no one knows exactly what those codes mean except Apple techs. A guide/key explaining those codes has not been made public. While others in here can make vague gueses as to what it may be, you really need to bring your mac to an Apple store or AASP for evaluation.

Extreme Fan Speed (Error Code: 4SNS/1/40000000:Tp0P-131.000)
My 20" 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Aluminum iMac was purchased on 3/21/08 and it was perfect up until about the end of November. Now upon immediate boot up the CPU fan runs up to 3500 rpm for no apparent reason. At first this problem would only happen every now and then, but now it does it every single time. I've tried several things like reseting the PRAM and the SMC and that would work at first, but that doesn't do anything now. I ran the Apple Hardware Test and I got an error code (4SNS/1/40000000:Tp0P-131.000) when the fan was running at 3500 rpm, but when I ran the Apple Hardware Test when the fan was running at normal speed no error code came up. I recently took my iMac to an Apple Store and they looked at it and kept it for about a week and they said they could not find anything wrong with it and told me it was "normal" for the fans to speed up every now and then when it needs to cool down, but why would it need to cool down when I just booted it up and have no applications running? They told me that it could be a logic board problem or fan problem and they ordered the parts, but did not replace anything due to them not being able to find a problem. This problem has become extremely annoying cause the fan is quite loud and I absolutely loved the silence of the iMac when it was brand new. I don't have AppleCare, but my iMac is still under the 1 year warranty and I'm starting to feel that the only way Apple will do anything about this problem is if I purchase AppleCare. So has anyone else encountered this problem and if you have were you able to get it taken care of cause I'm getting extremely tired of this fan noise and I'm in desperate need of a solution.

http://i34.tinypic.com/213oqx3.jpgI gave them the error code when I took it in and they just kind of shrugged it off and days later they called saying they ran several extended tests and were not able to detect anything wrong or reproduce my problem, but I remember the guy at the Genius Bar was able to reproduce the problem.

hello.
I am having issues with my 15inch retina mac 2012. Some apps for example safari crash every once in a while. Some times i get the grey screen of death.
My configuration is: CTO. 2.6 GHz Intel core i7 with 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 and 512GB flash memory.
I have recently replaced my screen as it was with burn in problems.
I tried to install Yosemite but failed several times. Just got the 10.9.5 Mavericks going again.
I ran the apple hardware test and got FAIL!
The error code read as follows: 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x79093f90
What do i do now? I am out of warranty and i can't upgrade to the new software.
I keep on having app crashes. I keep on sending reports to apple and there is no response.
Who should i hold responsible for hiding that there was a problem with my machine?
My warranty recently expired but i had the problems prior and i figured that if there was no response that maybe one day better software would fix app crashing.
Please suggest a course of action other than replacing main board with ram and cpu (too expensive).
Thank you in advance
KrisThank you for the quick reply
