Error code 6600 when trying to access shared network drive
Hi everybody
When trying to "enter" a shared NAS network drive, which appears on my Macbook, I just get error code -6600. What is wrong, do you know what I can do to resolve this???
I have previously managed to do this operation but now it just does not work. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

So I changed my IPv4 as well as IPv6 DNS-Servers under Windows Network Preferences and everything worked again.

Error code 0x80092013 when trying to access iTunes store
I currently have the lastest version of iTunes unstalled on a Windows Vista PC. For a few months now, I get the error code 0x80092013 when trying to connect to the iTunes store or log in to my iTunes account. I have tried to run diagnostics but there is no help availavle because iTunes will not connect to the internet to get the help I need.
I have scoured the interent for a solution to this problem and have tried everything I have come accross, from re-installing to reading every support page I can find. I am becoming so frustrated trying to fix this problem, it is not my apple ID as my iPad works perfectly fine. If anyone can give me a solution that actually works it would be greatley appreciatedAfter some research I found the following tip to be working:

Error code 64 when trying to access a website
I am trying to access my own photography website in Firefox (www.placesandseasons.com) on someone else's computer which still has Windows XP on it, & I get the error message below. Please note that there is no problem with the website host; I can access the site on both Chrome & IE on this computer, & also on Firefox on my Mac at home. I also used to be able to access it on Firefox on this Windows PC; this is a recent issue. I asked my website hosts & they said there is no issue at that end. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on IE/Windows' LAN settings. You could try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.
More generally: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site (if you can load any page), try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
''If you can't load a page on the site, open the dialog here and then edit the search/filter box at the top of the dialog to the site you want to clean cookies for.''
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
Background -
We have a seperate VLAN with a few servers with very locked down security (PCI compliance for credit card processing).
I recently tried to update the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator on the server in that VLAN which manages the few machines in that VLAN. The upgrade failed and broke the database, so I opted to uninstall and do a fresh install of the new version, rather than mess
with trying to recover from a backup.
Unfortunately, the new install is unable to push agent installs due to not being able to access the admin$ shares on the target machines (according to McAfee support). Through trial and error, I have determined a few puzzling things:
1) No client shares are remotely accessible from the main server (or other clients), regardless of permissions. This includes admin$, c$ and a test share I created. I have verified all the shares exist and that the appropriate user has admin rights (although
I don't even get prompted for credentials, so I don't think it is a permissions issue).
2) The issue exists for machines running Server 2003 R2 sp2 and Server 2008 R2 sp1. The issue does NOT exist for the single Windows XP machine in that VLAN.
3) DNS and networking works fine - I can ping each machine from any other machine using the IP, FQDN or NetBIOS name.
4) Firewalls are disabled, so I don't think it is a port issue.
I've spent hours trying to search for a solution, but nothing I've found seems to apply to my situation.

Can you install manually the mcafee framework on the machine you want to deploy it (you can even push it in a login script) ? To have the agent installed and later on to have the policy make the mcafee shield to install..
Search your mcafee server for the framework, I know it exist a folder with it. I just don't have it by hand.

Error Code -9808 when trying to access ITunes Store
Downloaded ITunes 8.1.1 and am getting error message -9808 whenever I try to connect to the Tunes Store.
Error 9808 is usually solved by:
Check your internet settings.
Control Panel – Internet Options – Advanced
Uncheck “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)”
Click okay
After unchecking the option, do you get another error message? It could be your firewall blocking access. Have you allowed itunes and itunes helper in your security software firewall? -

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

I am getting error code 0x8002006E when trying to burn a DVD
Hi, I am running the latest Lion update, on my MB Pro, and keep getting the error code 0x8002006E when trying to burn a DVD. Could this be a dirty lens issue in the drive. I see that many others have had the same problem, but relly cant seem to find anyone that has a solution that works.. Help

It's an error thrown by Mac OS X's DiscRecording framework (as opposed to an error communicated by the drive's firmware). The message is (as you probably saw)
"The burn failed because of a medium write error."
Could this be a dirty lens issue in the drive.
I don't think there's one single cause for this error. It might be a dirty lens. It might be something else. Not all recordable optical discs work well with all burners. Try a different brand. -

I'm having a problem opening a PDF file in Photoshop.

Searching the Adobe Forums, Knowledge Base, and even Google has turned up no results. Any idea what the problem may be?
My process has been taking a PDF file created from QuarkXpress (6.5) and opening it in Acrobat Pro (8.1.2) and doing a save as and replacing the current pdf. Then I open this new PDF file in Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) and apply actions. No problems. Then I encountered this one file that won't open in Photoshop, but will open in Acrobat, Preview, Illustrator. I get the following error message.
I'm using a G5 PowerPC Mac (4 x 2.5 GHz Processor) with 6.5 GB DDR2 SDRAM for memory. Mac OS X version 10.4.11 (haven't switched to Leopard yet) Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium software package.

Getting error code 1611 when trying to restore my Ipod. I have tried a forced restore and disabling my computer security and still nothing...ready to throw it out the window at this stage...help!!
