Error compiling  oggvorbis example

Hi
I'm getting this error when I try to compile the
AudioDecoderExample using oggvorbis library:
Error: Could not resolve <defusion:FlexUnitRunner> to a
component implementation.
<defusion:FlexUnitRunner id="testRunner" width="100%"
height="100%" test="{suite}" />
Any suggestions?
thanks,
Maria

Your error is unrelated to curl. You're not properly linking against gtk
gcc curlgtk.c $(pkg-config --libs --cflags gtk+-2.0 libcurl)

    Thanks for your respond, Eduardo.
Could you explain me in more detail why the C++ code doesn't compile, and how the
new target in the make file can help us?
    Thanks!
    Eduardo Ceballos <[email protected]> wrote:
There's nothing wrong with what you've done. The C code just doesn't compile.
Grab WLS 6.0 SP1 when it is available (shortly). There is a new target in
the make file that narrows the IDL production by method signature.

  • Error compiling OCCI example -  undefined reference

    Hello.
I am having trouble linking a simple Oracle OCCI example using SunStudio 12 , Update 1 on RHEL 5.2 . This is the error.

The same example compiles and links with a warning with g++ . executable is created.
    ~/demo]$ g++34 -L/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0/lib -I/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0/rdbms/public -locci -lclntsh new.C

Any ideas what may be wrong here ?

Well, without being able to recreate it myself, I think I'm stumped. I figured it was a linking error based on the error message but the format of the error message isn't familiar to me. What platform is this being done on?
Other things I would do to try to track down the issue (I'm sure you've probably done most of these, but just to be thorough):
Verify that the ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib/libocci.a library exists and you have read access to it. It will often be a symbolic link to a versioned library such as ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib/libocci10.a. In our Oracle installation we have a ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib and an ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib32, and in our case the libocci.a file is actually installed in the lib32 directory. However, I doubt the library is missing otherwise you would get a library not found error instead, but I'm not sure what error you would get if you didn't have read permissions.
Try linking it directly instead of going through CC.
    Use a command like:
~/demo]$ nm -C ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib/libocci.a |grep "::createEnvironment(oracle" to make sure the function can be found within the occi library and in the format the linker is looking for.
Look over the man pages on your linker looking for clarification on how it locates libraries, if it looks in additional locations or if there are any environment variables that would effect the paths you provided on the command line.

  • CS5 SDK Error compiling Adobe examples.

    Hi,
I downloaded the trial version of Illustrator CS5 and the CS5 SDK to be able to adapt my plugins.
    These plugins are for CS4.
Each time I try to compile one of the samples provided in the CS5 SDK, I have the same error
error: extra qualification 'AIPlatformFileDlgOpts::' on member 'AIPlatformFileDlgOpts'
Do you Know what to modify to avoid this error.
I use XCode 3.2.2 and MacOS.
    Please help me.
    JLG.

I just had the very same problem. I changed the compiler from GCC 4.2 to GCC 4.0 in the project settings. That did the trick.

    Hi esi_stents,
The compiler is complaining here because it can't find the correct library file to link to. Therefore, each of the above errors are function calls that the compiler does not have a prototype for.
The library file you want to make sure to link to is visa32.lib. The path for this library file differs slightly based on what compiler you are using:
    Borland: C:\VXIPNP\WinNT\lib\bc
    Microsoft: C:\VXIPNP\WinNT\lib\msc
Then follow the instructions for your compiler on how to set up links to a library.
Now the compiler should stop complaining at you and you're good to go! Have fun!

  • Error while compiling JMS example - package javax.jms does not exist

    Dear All,
I am a newbie trying to use JMS. I have downloaded EE 5 SDK and installed (it contains Message Queue 4.1 as well). After the installation and going to some tutorials, I tried to compile the example 'SimpleQueueSender.java' which was downloaded from Sun website.
Before running the application, I made sure that I have set the classpath, path environment veriables correctly, but still I got the error "package javax.jms does not exist". I have searched internet for help and in all places I found people replying to similar issues. But I was not able to apply the solution as either the folder names or file names specified in the solution is different from what is existing in my system.
Please help me. Also could anyone help me in telling the pre-requisites to ensure a proper running of java application.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    San

I'm not sure exactly what your JavaEE SDK installation contains (there are so many versions) but it will typically contain a Glassfish installation. Under the Glassfish installation, the imq directory contains all the files needed for MessageQueue.
The javax.jms package contains the JMS API interfaces. These can be found in jms.jar, which is typically in imq/lib. At runtime you will also need imq.jar from the same directory, which contains the implementation of these interfaces for MessageQueue.
Note that you will need to start a Message Queue server as well. EIther start a Glassfish server (which includes an embedded Message Queue broker), or (simpler) start a standalone Message Queue broker by running imqbrokerd (from the imq/bin directory).

  • Error "Compile error: Invalid character" after copy paste operations in VBE 6.5 PowerPoint 2011

This is a weird problem with the VBE 6.5 in Office 2011, running natively on a Mac.
Sometimes, yet often, when I select a word by double clicking on it or a line by highlighting that line in the editor and then copy/paste it somewhere else in the code, the compiler throws the error "Compile error: Invalid character"
The thing is, what I see has been pasted is exactly the same as the source text. However, if I then paste the same clipboard item to a text editor, I can see that there is an 'invisible' character at the end of the string which is counted in the text editor
where the cursor is shifted past it but does not shown on the screen!!!
Back in the VBE, if I select a line that is dubious and drag it, the semi transparent dragged text has a '>' character on a new line.
In some copy/paste cases, the compiler doesn't see an error but the code doesn't work as expected and I have spent hours debugging stuff that has invisible characters in it (the hardest debugging I've ever had to do!).
I'm not sure if this example will paste correctly into the forum but this looks like 19 characters but is in fact 20 as there is the offending copy/paste invisible character between 'Test' and '.'
    <code>Test.Value = False</code>
This seems to be a major oversight in the code of the VBE 6.5 so are Microsoft aware of this and when is it due to be fixed?
    Jamie.

I had this exact issue.  This is a terrible bug.  The code looks perfect, but there are hidden characters that throw compiler errors.  Thanks for the quick fix, Microsoft.

  • I can' t compile Stratus example from Adobe sample...

    Hey guys !
First, please sorry for my bad english, I'm french and it's a pain to explain this kind of problem in foreign language...
I 'm trying to compile the example code found in Stratus sample (the audio/video chat), but I think some package are missed because Flex found a lot of error. Flex tell me that I'm trying to use some class or properties that doesn't exist...
Here the list of the missing elements :
    - NetStreamInfo
    - Microphone.codec
    - NetStream.DIRECT_CONNECTIONS
    - Microphone.encodeQuality
    - NetStream.farId
    - Microphone.framesPerPacket
    - NetStream.info
    - NetConnection.nearId
    - NetStream.peerStream
    - SoundCodec
I 'm using Flex Builder 3.02 (downloaded from the link at the bottom of the stratus' presentation page).I have my Stratus Key, but the problem is not here because I'm unable to launch the compilation...
Where can I find the class / package I need ?
In other terms, how can I compile the stratus example with no error.
    Thanks a lot !

you probably forgot to set the minimum Flash Player version to 10.0.0 in the Flex build settings.  open the Properties for your Flex project, go to the "Flex Compiler" property, and in the "HTML wrapper" section's "Require Flash Player version" enter 10.0.0 in the boxes.  that will enable the compiler to recognize Flash Player 10 APIs.

  • Error Compiling JSP

I am running a custum OA page and forward it to a jsp page. I got all the jtf class and jsp files in my directory, Also added jtf/jar to my additional classpath project settings ,but gives me the following error:
    Errors compiling:C:\JdevIDE\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\.jsps\\_jtfacerr.java
    500 Internal Server Error
    OracleJSP: oracle.jsp.provider.JspCompileException:
method getExceptionStackTrace(java.lang.Throwable) not found in class oracle.apps.jtf.admin.adminconsole.HtmlWriter
Where as this method is sitting in the right directory. Do I need to setup OJSPCOMPILE utility and/or apply Patch 2886919 "Precompiler for JSP Pages"
    any suggestions please.Thanks

I did as you suggested. but same error pops up.
On my OAF page , I have submit button, which calls a CO and there I am forwarding the control to a jsp page which has some includes:
    example-
    <%@include file="jtfincl.jsp" %>
    "hello jsp"
If I remove the include , I get hello jsp printed on the page.
I went through 'Launching a JTT Page from an OA Framework Application'
but did not get any clue how to implement it in my custom application.
would JTF files go under jdev/myhtml/OA_HTML ?
I have put all the classes under oracle/apps/jtf
Any reference to how to set the classpath for jtf files, in OA would be a great help.
    Thanks

  • OC4J JSP Error compiling

    Using: OC4J Standalone, JDK 1.4
Servelets work OK but JSPs fail to compile. Is this a problem using JDK1.4 (and if so is it possible to tell OC4J to use a lower version)

Ahhh after experimenting I realized what happened:
1.) The search does not look for words in the Title (only looks in the Body)
2.) The search does not look for occurances of words if they appear anywhere in the doc but rather only for exact phrase.
So for the doc you gave me (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jsp?id=767439) here is a test:
[Search phrase] [did the doc come up?] [comment]
[oc4j doesn't compile JSPs with JDK 1.4?] [no] [the doc title]
[JSPs shipped with oc4j] [yes] [exact phrase in body]
[JSPs shipped oc4j] [no] [words in body but not exact phrase]
OK I have way to much time on my hands I see -- he he ... but I'm just putting this info out (respectfully of course) just so the forum owner will have the info so maybe he/she might want to change way search is done (add title, etc).
    Best regards

  • Error compiling JSP packages

    Please help.
I have downloaded the J2EE package - Server, Tutorial, etc. I am trying to get a BASIC jsp page with a single class to compile, but haven't had any luck.
    Server error message is:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
No Java compiler was found to compile the generated source for the JSP.
This can usually be solved by copying manually $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar from the JDK
to the common/lib directory of the Tomcat server, followed by a Tomcat restart.
If using an alternate Java compiler, please check its installation and access path.

Make sure have the latest version of the application server. The previous release had a bug as described in this thread:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=136&thread=473280
Here is a reply from that thread from one of the Web container engineers:
The error message about the missing Java compiler is misleading, and is being caused by a bug in the way compilation error messages are being propagated.
This problem has been fixed in the latest Appserver 8.0 PE release.
I think your JSP fails to compile because of an error in your JSP. Your appserver log should contain the real compilation error. Can you check?
BTW, the date example describe in this chapter does contain a class file:
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/JSPIntro2.html#wp84418

That error can happen for many reasons...one of the reasons that I occassionaly get it is because I try exporting a movie to an external drive that has been formated in the old FAT32 instead of the NTSF standard.  FAT32 only allows for file sizes up to 2 gigs.  And as soon as it reaches that...I would get that error.  I don't know if that is why you are getting that error...but it would be easy to check.  1) are you generating a file that is over 2 gigs?  2) is your drive that you are exporting to FAT 32 (just right click the drive in My Computer and select "properties" then just look for what it says next to "file system".

I think i haven't said my motherboard. Its P5E3 PRO. It has EPU engine and it turns off the hard drive when its idle...Premiere pro and all the sytem files are installed on my C drive which is like the main drive. On D drive i keep my music, downloads and stuff. I think it can turn of both drives then idle, but mostly it turns off D drive, I think. I have a new motherboard and i haven't got the hang of it how it shuts them down.
But i think this really isnt a problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Serious hardware problems!
Go for a fresh install of OS & programs, but be prepared to first check your disks with a utility from the drive manufacturer (WD and Samsung). You may need new disks.
Great to include these details, but for readability I suggest you include these as an attachment instead of in the text. It may scare people off reading all that detail.
