  • PLS-00801: Internal Error - Compiling Package in JDeveloper

I am trying to compile a package in JDeveloper so that I will be able to debug it. The issue is that the whenever I compile it I get a back an PLS-00801: Internal Error.
What is really strange is that when I compile it using sqlplus - the package comes back fine without any problems.
The package is approximately 5400 lines, contains UTF8 characters (I turned on UTF8 encoding in order to get the package to show correctly [found that one on this site - thank you]). It contains approx 15 methods, lost of cursors, ...
I am using the following version of JDeveloper.
    Version 9.0.4.0 (Build 1419)
    Oracle IDE: 9.0.4.13.2
    UML Modelers Vers: 9.0.4.12.69
    JMIG Framework: 9.0.4.3.75
    SCM Support Version: 9.0.4.12.69
    Business Components: 9.0.4.13.79
    Java Version: 1.4.2_03
    Java Home: c:\Programs\JDev9i\jdk\jre
Any help would be greatly appreciated - even pointing me in the direction of the logs to see if I can track down why I am getting this error.
    Thank you
    Marc Padberg

    Okay -
I broke down the PL/SQL package and figured out what was causing the internal error - it was a parameter that was based on ROWTYPE of a cursor.
Whenever I have a CURSOR%ROWTYPE as a parameter I get an internal error in JDeveloper.
Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
I wrote a small sample package using dual that simulates this.
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE sample_problem IS
    PROCEDURE call_internal_method;
    END sample_problem;
CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY sample_problem IS

  • How do i get error after compiling package

    Hi ,
i am compiling some packages by sys schema of hr schema as
    alter package hr.example compile package
but it shows compiled with error
how can i see that errors as i dont know the password of hr schema ..
    Thanks in advance

First of all you should not be using SYS to compile anything ... create a DBA account.
Second there is not need to be HR to see the errors ... type "SHO ERR" and you should see the errors and if that does not work there is always the simple
SELECT * FROM dba_errors;In the future please do not post questions without full version number and, when possible, screen scrapes (cut and paste) so we can see what you are doing.

  • Error compiling JSP packages

    Please help.
I have downloaded the J2EE package - Server, Tutorial, etc. I am trying to get a BASIC jsp page with a single class to compile, but haven't had any luck.
    Server error message is:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP
No Java compiler was found to compile the generated source for the JSP.
This can usually be solved by copying manually $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar from the JDK
to the common/lib directory of the Tomcat server, followed by a Tomcat restart.
If using an alternate Java compiler, please check its installation and access path.

Make sure have the latest version of the application server. The previous release had a bug as described in this thread:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=136&thread=473280
Here is a reply from that thread from one of the Web container engineers:
The error message about the missing Java compiler is misleading, and is being caused by a bug in the way compilation error messages are being propagated.
This problem has been fixed in the latest Appserver 8.0 PE release.
I think your JSP fails to compile because of an error in your JSP. Your appserver log should contain the real compilation error. Can you check?
BTW, the date example describe in this chapter does contain a class file:
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/JSPIntro2.html#wp84418

  • Error when Compiling package header and body - how change pkb file associat

    Hi everyone,
it has already been noticed elsewhere (in the thread "Compiling package header and body" of Jan 12, 2010) that the compilation of package scripts sometimes fails (apparently because of a sqldeveloper bug) when the script contains the terminating slash /.
    Is this bug still open?
Next question: In the above mentioned thread it is recommended as workaround to change the corresponding file type association from pl/sql to sql. I would like to do that; I know the place in the preferences dialog, but most of the associations there seem to be hard coded and cannot be changed.
    I would appreciate any ideas!
    Thanks in advance,
    user8632123.

For the workaround: you'd have to change the file's extension, not the association (to e.g. .sql).
    Have fun,
    K.

  • Execution of Immediate SQL in compiled package in two versions of SQL*PLUS

A peculiar problem has risen in our database.
Execution of Immediate SQL in compiled package in two versions of SQLPLUS gives different results
We have a compiled package with two procedures that contain immediate SQL statements, and these are:
    +PROC_DELETE_ROWS+
+     -- This immediate sql deletes unreferenced Document Types from the DOC_REF_TYPE table+
    +     delete from doc_ref_type t where exists (select 1 from PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE_VW d where d.doc_ref_type = t.doc_ref_type)+
       +     and not exists (select 1 from doc_ref d where d.doc_ref_type = t.doc_ref_type)+
       +     and doc_ref_type not in (select doc_ref_type from eis_doc_ref_type)+
       +     and doc_ref_type not in (select eis_doc_ref_type from eis_doc_ref_type)+
    +PROC_ADD_NEW_ROWS+
    +     -- Drop the temporary table+
    +     drop table TMP_PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE+
    +     -- Create a temporary table+
    +     create table tmp_PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE as+
    +     select DOC_REF_TYPE, substr(DOC_REF_TYPE_DESC,1,100) as DOC_REF_TYPE_DESC+
    +     from PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE_VW+
+     -- Insert document types that do not exist in the DOC_REF_TYPE table+
    +     insert into doc_ref_type t (DOC_REF_TYPE, DOC_REF_TYPE_DESC)+
            +     select distinct DOC_REF_TYPE, DOC_REF_TYPE_DESC from tmp_PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE s+
            +     where not exists (select 1 from doc_ref_type t where t.doc_ref_type = s.doc_ref_type)+
I am using the following test script:
    +Exec mypackage.proc_delete_rows;+
    +Commit;+
    +Select count(*) from DOC_REF_TYPES;+
    +Exec mypackage.proc_add_new_rows;+
    +Commit;+
    +Select count(*) from DOC_REF_TYPES;+We have a Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit
    I am using SQL*Plus: Release 8.1.7.0.0
The test script is working as expected.
    Count after delete =155
    Count after insert = 511
but when I use another computer with SQL*Plus: Release 10.x
The Test script returns the following
    Count after delete =155
    Count after insert =155
The same is happening when I am running the scripts as a scheduled job.
    QUESTION:
I believe I have found a fix for the problem though. By changing tmp_PROARC_DOC_REF_TYPE in the insert statement to all upper case, the script is running in both environments apparently. But how is this possible? I am executing a compiled package in the database. The session shell should have no impact on the behaveour of the procedure I am calling. What causes this?
Edited by: Reon on Jun 16, 2011 4:44 AM

    1) I am using the same user (PANDORA)
    2) (PANDORA) for both
    3) I am actually not handling any errors. Just skipping any error altogether. I'll check to see what exceptions are raised, and come back.
I have also noticed that SQL/PLUS is not the culprit here. If I use SQLTools 1.5 to run the script, the same thing happens. So it has to do something with the connection or session environment that is inheritet to both clients.

  • Error to PACKAGE BODY WWSSO_AUTH_EXTERNAL

    hi to all,
i followed the paper 'Configuring Oracle9iAS Portal for LDAP
Authentication' in order to redirect authentication Login Server
    to OID.
After all steps i have to run ssoldap.sql from sqlplus.
Firstly, i got this errors (when the sql file called to package
    ssoxldap.pkb):
    Errors to PACKAGE BODY WWSSO_AUTH_EXTERNAL:
    LINE/COL ERROR
0/0 PL/SQL: Compilation unit analysis terminated
    1/14 PLS-00201: identity 'WWSSO_AUTH_EXTERNAL' must be
    declared
1/14 PLS-00304: if would not compile the body
    'WWSSO_AUTH_EXTERNAL' without its specification.
after those errors it ask me for ldap configuration.
if i filled out all the info it will show, afterwards, the same
    error.
going to portal... works fine .. but the authentication does not
    redirect to oid.
    any suggestions will be appreciated,
    thanks in advance,
    marcos

    Hello Marcos
Oracle Corporation recommends that you use ssoxoid.pkb
package if you are using Oracle 8i (8.1.7) or later

You need to ask Apex related questions in the Apex forum.
Include the 4 digit Oracle and Apex versions you are using when you post your problem.
I assume that you have read how to implement SSO for Apex applications to be partner applications for Oracle App Server single sign-on authentication? If not, I suggest that you search http://tahiti.oracle.com for the relevant instructions. (cannot recall the exact manual reference - I did this 3 or 4 years ago myself)

  • CR XI Error message "package package name does not exist"

I am trying to use the Java API that is available for Crystal reports XI. I am using NetBeans v.5.5.1 for developing my Java code.
The application does not seem to find the Crystal reports Java libraries, I cannot compile it successfully. For instance, the statement
    import com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk;
shows an error message "package com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk does not exist"
I have installed the Java SDK under the web/web-lib directory in my NetBeans project folder, i.e. I copied all the jar files from c:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\java\lib into the web-lib directory because this is the directory where I have all the other library files that I am using in my NetBeans project.
I am creating instances of the classes ReportAppSession and ReportClientDocument in my java code.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
    Adriana

    Hi Adriana
Do you have the jrcerom.jar file in your lib folder.
This is the jar file which includes the package com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk .
    Thanks
    Soni

Could you please explain what should i do?
    Database - 11.2.0
    eBS - 12.1
    Linux x86
    Thx

i dont understand how can ichange something here?In this case, you can't.
If this is one of the standard packages built into an Oracle Apps database, you need to log a tar/sr with Oracle support. (which will probably result in more patches)

Out of curiosity, do you have a directory called WEB-INF inside of
MyPortal\portalApp\portlets\WFWeb? If so, can you try removing/renaming it?

the compiler throws a ERROR message "A PageFlowController at the root ofthe web

Have any solution about this ERROR ?
