Error connecting BO 8.8 with CR
Hi,
I have this message when I try to show one of report imported on SAP BO 8.8 : Error while connecting to Crystal Reports 2008; check the installation
why ?
Thanks in Advance
Malika
Hi Malika...
I think Installation of Crystal Report 2008 was not properly done. Because in such cases it currupts DLL file and gives such kind od errors while opening CR.
So you just uninstall CR and delete the folder of Business Object from C/Program files/Business Objects.
And then reinstall.
I guess it will solve your problem because it solved my problem......

Rafid WahabOther solution:
on refresh period, default value is 1 minute, force this value at 0 and your connection
is ok.

Joseph Weinstein <[email protected]> wrote:
Redo the pool definition, and set 'test connection on reserve'. Don't
set 'test connections on release', and leave refresh minutes alone.
add a test table. DUAL is perfect for that. Everything else seems
fine.

Error when connecting an oracle DB with Integration gateway
I followed the steps from the blog How to connect an Oracle DB with Integration Gateway in SMP3 and the ojdbc was deployed successfully to SMP. Still, i'm getting "Driver class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver not found" error message when i try to test my connection. The first difference i saw when completing these steps was that I'm using SMP3 SP05, could this be the issue?
Joao D Franco Net
Could you share below information:
Can you cross check if deployed driver are OSGi enabled? Refer this.
Can you share screenshot of the destination settings and error ?
note: The blog you followed is referring to SP03 (1st GA of SMP3)..You should not have any problem in connecting to Oracle DB being on any SP.

Wifi problem with repeaters - there was an error connecting
so I'm repeating a motorola gateway's wifi signal with a belkin f5d7132..
with the repeater on .. opperating. and doing its range extending magic, my pc can connect to the network, but my mac throws up an "error connecting to network" message.. "trying again" gets me nowhere.
unplugging the repeater fixes the mac up nicely... it's able to connect directly to the motorola gateway..
when I look at all the wifi connections. it show two instances of the "repeated" signal... two "ian" ssids.. I wonder if this duplicity is messing things up for me and my macbooks attempt at connecting to the repeated wifi.. I linked to a couple screen captures of my motorola and belkin config pages..
the one thing that surprises me, is that the belikin router doesn't have an "entry" in the motorola DHCP list.. I'd think the belkin repeater would have to lease an IP address from the motorola, and that lease would be noted in the motorola's dhcp table.. I'm sure there are different schems for repeating..
anybody successed with this belkin in a mac / pc cross platform environment? any magic settings that I'm missing?
here are links to those two screen captures
router - http://farm1.static.flickr.com/159/3950965454ebef30daao.jpg
repeater - http://farm1.static.flickr.com/135/395096541cbe4473870o.jpgOk. Got it fixed.
For a real fix:
Try trashing the ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/AirPort folder. This should solve the problem this time and next time.
If you are reluctant to do that, log into your 'test' account. (You do have a test account, don't you?)
Do the update from there.
Apparently we have something corrupted in our support directories for the AirPort device.
I first fixed my problem by doing the alternate log in method and found that all 3 of my devices were needing a firmware update but only the Capsule was reporting an update within my own account. -
downloaded Reader XI and started to recieve error 40000015, found the fourm with the patch to the registery fix, now it tells me unable to connect to the server. To many bugs with the reader, how do reinstall an older version?
I click on the launcher and nothing happens, 15 min later it will tell cant connect to the server.
My computer is a windows 8.1; 64 bit operating system. I am stationed in South Korea, but that should not affect the program. Help please.
JohnHi johnd83157268,
Sorry for the inconvenience that has caused to you.
Could you please let me know what changes have you made in the registry.
You might need to uninstall Adobe Reader from Control Panel and try install it again from the following link:
Adobe Reader Install for all versions
Please ensure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus is disabled as that might interrupt installation.
Try again and then let me know.

2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE --- dbs_ora_tnsname = 'TQ1'"Hi,
LOG BY0=>ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
You need to change your schema users password using "brconnect"
Try as follow:
1. Login as ora<sid>
2. Use below command to reset SAPRP1 users password
# brconnect -u system -f chpass -o SAPRP1 -p <new password>
If it still doesn't work... just set the password as "sap" (it is default password for schema user)
# brconnect -u system -f chpass -o SAPRP1 -p sap
Hope, it helps you...
Suggestions:
Above thing will help even if OPS$ mechanism is not set correctly...
But it is recommended to create and set permissions for OPS$ user. Else some BRTools function will produce errors...
Relevant notes are already suggested by others...
Please go through it word by word...
Regards.

Error connecting to DB with JDK 1.4.2
Hi,
I'm trying to connect to a DB with this code:
Connection con = null; Statement stmt = null; try { con = ds.getConnection(); stmt = con.createStatement(); stmt.execute("select * from table;"); } catch (SQLException e) { logger.error(e); con.close(); }
but when I execute de oc4j server with a JDK 1.4.2 I get this error:
java.sql.SQLException: Excepcin de E/S: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
If I execute oc4j server with JDK 1.5.0 I have no problems... obviously I need to execute with JDK 1.5.0... Does anyone know what might be happening?
Thanks!!Well, this specific exception roughly means that the Java code cannot find the database. I.e. the driver is loaded, the URL is semantically correct, but it can't find a database behind the in the URL given IP address / hostname, port number and/or the databasename. On the other side, the database can also be not up and running or not listening, or there is some firewall which blocks the communication.
That's all what I can say about it. As far now you're the only one who can find and fix the root cause. -
Hello.I wanted to upgrade my iPad 1 to iOS 5.1 Over the Air.I was running iOS 5.0.1.It said it had an error connecting to server. It is already 5 hours i cant install this update.I also have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 with the same issues.Help please!
You're probably running into the servers simply being swamped. Thousands of people are all going for the software update at the same time. Give it a try again and if that doesn't work, then try plugging it into your computer and trying it that way.
I didn't get a notion of the size, it doesn't seem to be as big as the 700 meg 5.0 update, but it did take me 20+ minutes to download via cable internet so it's a large file. That in and of itself takes a while.
If you're trying to download it directly to your iPhone, you'll need to be on wifi since I'm sure it's well over the 20 meg file size limit for 3G.

Quick question, what is "arch-correct" way to use ABS as a normal user? Such as utilizing the /var/abs structure as it is? Right now I'm copying stuff to /var/abs/local and 'sudo makepkg'-ing. But that's root. Thanks.
