Error connecting from Tuxedo ws (vsn 6.4)
The server appears to start normally however we receive the following error when
attempting to connect from ws:
Error Message:
ERROR-FPA tpinit failed - tuxedo tperror 12 - NLS:4: Cannot open message
catalog LIBWSC_CAT, set 1, num 1142; check TUXDIR=.,
LANG=English_australia,1252
Anyone had something similar and if so what was the solution...all comments welcome.
Set your env. variables TUXDIR to your tuxedo installation directory and
LANG to C ( or rename the folder C to English_australia , you can find this
folder in TUXDIR/locale folder). After that you will get a proper hint in
the ULOG file !!
BTW. I searched e-docs.bea.com for message LIBWSC:1142, but strangely ther
is no entry for this messaged id !!!!

VM Agent Error connecting from VM Manager
Hi everybody.
I'm stucked with an error. This error is everytimes the same and after many tests I have not found anything to resolve it.
The thing:
- First, the installation of Oracle VM Server was successfully (v2.1.1). The log review did not revealed any problem, the VM Agent was running ok, and responding to the local testing:
# /opt/ovs-agen*/utils/do_rpc.py https://admin:password@localhost:8899 echo hola
echo ['hola']
=> success:echo=hola
- Second, the installation of Oracle VM Manager was successfully (v2.1.1). It has been installed in other machine (64bit) over Oracle LE5. The service oc4j is running ok and I can access to the Web Console through https://hostname:8888/OVS. No problem.
The problem starts trying to create a Server Pool. Filling the screen Server Information with the following info:
Server Host/IP: 192.168.33.119:8899
Server Name: oraclevm
Agent Password: ****** (the password belonging to the admin agent, which is clear at the agent.ini file)
Server Type: Marked the options: Server Pool Master and Virtual Machine Server
I click on the Test Connection button and shows: Information: Server agent is active.
However, the /var/log/ovm-manager/oc4j.log shows:
ERROR Agent connection error!
Ignoring this error, clicking on the Add button shows:
Error: An error occurred while creating a new XmlRpcClient object. Try again later or contact the system administrator.
The oc4j.log show the following:
2008-05-27 12:49:29.199 ERROR Agent connection error!

2008-05-27 12:49:29.223 ERROR Agent connection error!
So, they are the same errors connecting with the agent.
And far away, clicking on the Next button:
Error: No servers will be added to the server pool.
And the same connection errors with the agent.
I've tried to configure the agent:
# service ovs-agent configure
setting the rules:
allow=*
deny=
and of course I have the firewall stopped:
# service iptables stop
# service iptables status
Firewall is stopped.
Also I've trying stopping the agent, disabling SSL y starting again. No changes.
The same error again and again.
I've trying a lot of things but any didn't work.
Any help will be very welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
AngelHi again.
By the moment I've not advanced with this error.
Anyway I've achieved successfully the installation of a paravirtualized Oracle EL5 Linux system directly at the server with the virt-install command. It works nice by now.
Related to the Manager, and looking at the error "An error occurred while creating a new XmlRpcClient object", I think I miss something for the XML-RCP protocol.
Maybe a package, a library? A path, permits? I don't know.
Please, if any expert could give me a clue...
Thanks in advance.

Errors connecting from windows
i try and connect from windows and it gives me this:
[2006/10/24 21:39:25, 0] pdbods.c:odssamgetsampwnam(2327)
odssam_getsampwnam: [0]getsam_recordattributes dsRecTypeStandard:Users no account for 'XXXX'!
funny thing is, if i connect using ADMIN and enter propper password, it works fine
it seems windows is trying to autofill the username (that is logged into windows) in the XXX field, and it doesn't match the server's account name.
thanks in advance!!We're having something similar to this where Entourage users are apparently handing off the incorrect user name and password and thereby disabling their Apple user account on our mail/webmail OSX server.
I don't know how to stop the accounts from being disabled, nor do I know when the user has been automatically disabled by the server. We only know when the customer contacts us (which can't be by email).
This has already cost us some accounts and business.
Users who are not Windows or who are not using Entourage are having no problem. Since the problem also happens with Mac Entourage users, it may have more to do with Entourage than Windows.
Anyone know how to set the authentification of OSX or Entourage to be more friendly? -
Hello together,
I have a perfectly working setup with my XP machine, Putty and my Suse Linux server that allow for remote login via SSH. I use Public Key authentication.
However, when I try to login from my Mac, all I get from the Mac side is a
"Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive)."
And I can't establish the connection. On the server in 'messages' I get:
"sshd{6046}: Accepted publickey for {userName} from {myHomeIP} port 38335 ssh2"
What could be wrong here?
I would like to use the same keys on my PC and my Mac so I just copied the key files into the .ssh directory on the Mac, did a chmod 600 on them and then tried to remote log-on with the follwoing from the terminal:
"ssh -l {userName} {host} -i {keyFile}"
My questions are:
1) How am I sure that the Mac uses the right key files? (or uses them at all)
2) How come my server says "accept publickey" and no connection is established?
3) Do you have any other idea on how I might get this to work? What I need is a method to copy files (not via FTP) to my server and let the process run without supervision / user interaction.
Thanks a lot for all your help!
Cheers
Message was edited by: Sebastian_R (some typos)If you copied your files from Windows, I would check to make sure your lines are <LF> terminated. I have not played with Putty so I do not know the way it line terminates its ssh key files, but Windows has a long tradition of using <CR><LF> to terminate its lines.
cat -v ~/.ssh/id_rsa # or whatever your file names are
If there are <CR> characters in the file, they will show up as ^M
Next get more diagnostic information from ssh using an *ssh -v -v -v*
If you know how to tell Putty to do the same thing, do it from Putty as well.
Now compare the debug output from the working vs the non-working ssh commands. The differences will tell you a lot.
If you look at *man ssh* and search for permissions it will tell you what files need restrictive permissions. You can get a permissions denied error if your home directory allows Group or Other write access. The $HOME/.ssh directory needs to be set so ONLY the Owner is allowed to access it. And some of the files in $HOME/.ssh require specific permissions. The ssh man page details this. -
Error connecting from Vista to Server
Hi to All,
I don't sure that this is the correct forum for my question.
I have this "scenario"
1) My app is on Win Server 2003 R2 (with Domain)
2) Many clients works fine with a link like this:
http://server01.sede.mySite.it:7778/forms90/f90servlet?config=myApp
3) I have installed under the Domain a Vista Ultimate PC and it work correctly
4) But if I run the previous link, Vista display a message error "no Internet connection" and close the Browser. Obviously, I have tested the Internet connection on Vista and it works fine.
Have You an Idea ?
Thank You and Best Regards.
Gaetano

NICK048as I see in your URL, you work with Forms 9i. That's much too old. Please try a Forms 10g Rel. 2 Installation.
And have a look on metalink, if Vista is certified with this AS -

Yolanda,
You have TOUPPER listed as the service that your trying to
import into the WLS side but you don't have it listed on the
Tuxedo side as an exported service. On the Tuxedo side you
have simpserv listed as an exported service when it is the server
that contains TOUPPER. Change simpserv to TOUPPER in
the dmconfig file and try that.

Remote tuxedo domain rejects connection from client only Tuxedo JCA Adapter
I am trying to use a client only configured Oracle Tuxedo JCA Adapter 11.1.1.2.1 to connect to a remote tuxedo 10.3 domain. The connector is deployed to a JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 embedded OC4J container. The connector is failing silently when attempting to establish a connection with the remote domain. Locally, the JCA Adapter ntrace logs the following:

I can't determine if there are any problems from these log entries, but the remote tuxedo domain logs the following in the ULOG:

My understanding is that the client only configuration should connect to a remote tuxedo domain as an anonymous client instead of a peer tuxedo domain, but the remote tuxedo gateway domain listener is acting like the client has to be configured in its dmconfig file before it will allow the connection request. Is there a different kind of listener the client only configuration should connect to instead of the tuxedo gateway domain listener? How can a remote tuxedo domain accept a connection from an anonymous client if the client must first be specified in the remote domain's dmconfig file? Is this a tuxedo 11g only feature? I'm trying to connect to a tuxedo 10.3 server.

SteveLooks like this is an RTFM question. From:
[http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E18050_01/jca/docs11gr1/users/jca_usersguide.html]
Is the following:
Dynamic RemoteAccessPoint (RAP) Insertion
In order to make default LocalAccessPoint to work, Oracle Tuxedo GWTDOMAIN gateway configuration is required in order to make this simplified /Domain configuration to work.
GWTDOMAIN gateway must be modified to allow Dynamic RemoteAccessPoint (RAP) Registration. If DYNAMIC_RAP is set to YES, it will also update the in-memory database of the status of the connection from those dynamically registered RAP. If the connection from those dynamically registered RAP lost then the information about that RAP will be removed from the SHM database.
GWADM must be modified to process the DM MIB correctly to reflect the connection status of those dynamically registered RAP. When the connection from those dynamically registered RAP lost their entries in the SHM database will also be removed so that the DM MIB query can return the connection status correctly.
The dynamically registered RAP will be added to /DOMAIN configuration permanently. Their existence will only be known when the Session is established. Their existence will be lost when the connection is lost.
The DM_CONNECTION Oracle Tuxedo /Domain DMIB call returns all the connected dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint. All other dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint that are not connected will not be shown.
The OPENCONNECTION DMIB request will not be supported to connect to those dynamically registered RAP.
The CLOSECONNECTION Oracle Tuxedo /DMIB request closes the connection and remove the session from those dynamically registered RemoteAccessPoint, and returns its connection status as 'UNKNOWN.
The PERSISTENT_DISCONNECT type of CONNECTION_POLICY will be honored that means when PERSISTENT_DISCONNECT is in effect all connections request from any RAP, whether they are dynamically or non-dynamically registered, will be rejected.
I must have overlooked this section when reading it. Looks like I've got more configuration to do.
Thanks,

Error while creating a connection from JDeveloper to OC4J instance on 9iAS
I m trying to create a connection to the application server(9iAS release 2) from the JDeveloper(9.0.2.822) using the JDeveloper connection wizard. I followed all the steps, but when i click on "Test Connection" button to test the connection the error i get is "IO Error: Connection refused: connect". The description of the settings i provided in the wizard step are as follows,
Step 1
Connection name:- Connection1
Connection Type:- Oracle 9i Application Server
Step 2
Username:- admin
Password:- welcome
Deploy Password checkbox: Unchecked
Step 3 (the 9iAS server address is 192.168.30.162)
URL:- ormi://192.168.30.162/
Target Web Site:- http-web-site
Local dir where admin.jar is installed for Oracle 9iAS is installed:- C:\ora9i_d2k\j2ee\home
Step 4
Test Connection: “IO Error: Connection refused: connect”
Please advise.
Thanks
UnmeshHi,
You cannot connect to an Oracle9iAS environment directly using the connections node. You can only connect to an individual OC4J instance using this technique.
You need to use Oracle9iAS Distributed Management Configuration (DCM). See JDeveloper Help under Creating Application Server Connections -
Error While creating new database connection from HFM workspace
Hi,
We have recently installed HFM and was trying to create database connection from database connection manager in HFM workspace.
I am getting below error:
"Error connecting to database connection : no HssJNIDriver950 in java.library.path" initially and later
"Error connecting to database connection : com/hyperion/ap/adm/HssConn".
Any information in this direction would helpful.
Thanks,
Bhargav
Edited by: bhargavr on Jan 24, 2011 6:55 PMHi bhargavr,
We came accross the same issue. Try the following solution below for this 'KNOWN ISSUE' and let me know how you get on. Drop me a note if you have any questions regarding this post.
Error: *"Error connecting to database connection: com/hyperion/ap/adm/HssConn" While Creating a Financial Management Database Connection* [ID 1102697.1]
Modified 04-JAN-2011 Type PROBLEM Status PUBLISHED
Applies to:
Hyperion BI+ - Version: 11.1.2.0.00 and later [Release: 11.1 and later ]
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
Symptoms:
You are running the Financial Reporting Web Server on a 64-bit server.
When you try to create a new Financial Management (HFM) database connection using the Database Connection Manager in Workspace you receive the following message:
“Error connecting to database connection <connection_name>: com/hyperion/ap/adm/HssConn”
You can create a database connection in Financial Reporting Studio. When you refresh a report with a Financial Management database connection, you receive one of the following messages:
“1001: Error connecting to database connection <DATABASE_CONNECTION_NAME>: com/hyperion/ap/adm/HssConn”
or
“1001: Error connecting to database connection <DATABASE_CONNECTION_NAME>: no HssJNIDriver950 in java.library.path”
Cause:
The issue is documented in unpublished bug 9537050, and in Known Issues in the 11.1.2 Reporting and Analysis Readme. Cross-reference unpublished bug 9707353.
Solution:
In the Windows registry, take the following steps:
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HyperionSolutions\FinancialReporting0\HyS9FRReports.
For each of the following entries, prefix the contents with text in the blue box: Env2, JVMOption13, and JVMOption17 (note that the JVMOption numbers might be slightly different in your environment).
C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\ADM\11.1.2.0\bin-64
If your EPM_ORACLE_HOME is not located at C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1, replace that location with your location.
Restart the server.

Error connecting to database from Crystal Report
Hi,
I am using Crystal report 2008, .NET 3.5 on Windows Server 2008 + SQL Server 2008
I have a batch that generates report (via export) then this batch will send the exported report via email.
I am encountering this error when reading report from BO Server
Error: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Database logon failed. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8004100F): Database logon failed.

at CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.EromReportSourceBase.ExportToStream(ExportRequestContext reqContext)
While when trying to read the report from physical file within the server, it will give me this error
Error: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.InternalException: Failed to retrieve data from the database.

The report is working in our SIT environment but it is not working in our UAT environment.
I have tried the following:
1) running the batch (that generates the report) in SIT environment to call SIT database
Working fine
2) running the batch (that generates the report) in SIT environment to call UAT database
Will give the above error
3) running the batch (that generates the report) in UAT environment to call UAT database
Will give the above error
4) running the batch (that generates the report) in UAT environment to call SIT database
Working fine
For reading report from BO Server, I have tried viewing the report directly and scheduling the report directly from BO Server and it works fine.
Also I have tried to 'verify database' on the UAT report, but it seems it didn't solve the issue.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? Or what could cause this?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks.Here's how I connect to the database
when reading report from bo server:
Dim enterpriseSession As CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.EnterpriseSession
Dim enterpriseService As CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.EnterpriseService
Dim infoObjects As CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoObjects
Dim infoObject As CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoObject
Dim infoStore As CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore
Dim query As String = ""
query = "SELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_PROGID = 'CrystalEnterprise.Report' AND SI_NAME LIKE '" & reportName & "'"
'Create a session manager
Dim sessionMgr As New CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.SessionMgr
'Log into BusinessObjects Enterprise
enterpriseSession = sessionMgr.Logon(cu.BOXIUser, cu.BOXIPwd, cu.BOXIServer, cu.BOXIAuthentication)
'Create the infostore object
enterpriseService = enterpriseSession.GetService("InfoStore")
infoStore = New CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore(enterpriseService)
infoObjects = infoStore.Query(query)
If (infoObjects.Count > 0) Then
infoObject = infoObjects(1)
crDoc.Load(infoObject, enterpriseSession)
crDoc.SetParameterValue("@batchID", batchID)
Dim CrExportOptions As ExportOptions
Dim CrDiskFileDestinationOptions As New DiskFileDestinationOptions()
Dim CrPDFFormatOptions As New PdfRtfWordFormatOptions
Dim CrExcelFormatOptions As New ExcelFormatOptions
CrDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName = reportFile
CrExportOptions = crDoc.ExportOptions
With CrExportOptions
.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
.ExportFormatType = IIf(reportFormat = IAConstant.PDF, _
ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, _
IIf(FINRptFormat = IAConstant.EXCELONLY, _
ExportFormatType.ExcelRecord, ExportFormatType.Excel))
.DestinationOptions = CrDiskFileDestinationOptions
.FormatOptions = IIf(reportFormat = IAConstant.PDF, _
CrPDFFormatOptions, CrExcelFormatOptions)
End With
crDoc.Export()
Else
Throw New ApplicationException(Constant.APP_ERR & " - Report not found")
End If
The error is thrown when trying to export --> crDoc.Export()
The username and password are correct because it is the same username and password that the batch used to extract the data in the initial stage.
Here's how my batch works:
1) Extract and massage data directly from .net SP (this is working fine)
2) Obtain the report then use the same connection string (for physical path report) or use the report connection string (for bo server report), this report is using Stored Procedure (the problem starts here)
For reading report from bo server, I have also checked that the connection from the report itself is correct, because we can schedule/view the report from bo server successfully.
SQL Driver, is it the SQL Native Client you are saying? It's SQL Native Client 10.
I think we are using Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 Client Tools SP2 in our apps server. -

I have looked up the errors on Oracle forums and could not get any valuable help anywhere.
Can someone kindly help out where I am going wrong?
Thanks,
Ram.Hello kgronau,
Thank You very much for your recommendations. I removed the parameter HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = 255.
I added HS_FDS_FETCH_ROWS=1 and also HS_NLS_NCHAR = UCS2
Tested my sql statement, which yielded the result as follows:
SQL> select * from mdiaz.AREMAIL@samplink;
select * from mdiaz.AREMAIL@samplink
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
㈵″㠵6
SO I thought I would give a try of removing the line HS_NLS_NCHAR = UCS2
and again tested my sql statement and it worked like a charm!!!!
I tested a count(*) and got the results back.
SQL> select count(*) from mdiaz.AREMAIL@samplink;
COUNT(*)
600
I really appreciate your valuable pointers and help.
Thanks once again!!!

I updated an iPod touch, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and all of them now will not connect to WiFi. They all give this wierd 404 error page from Apple and insist that I need to login to the network. What's the fix? None of the recommended fixes work in any of these devices. Reset device, reset network, renew lease, etc. None of them work.
Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353#iPod_touch_late2009
iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.
