Error connecting to WS with Adobe Reader with Reader Extension server

Hi all!
I'm using a form designed with Designer with Reader Extension. This form
connects to a ws in order
With Acrobat and the Acrobat Reader under 7.0.5 it's all OK, but another
user with Acrobat or Adobe Reader 7.0.8 received an error message when
trying to connect to the WS.
The error says that there was a problem reading the file and specified the
folder url in which there is the web service.
I remember that for some reasons, after 7.0.5 you've to certified the
document, but I can't certify a PDF form created with Designer :(
Anyone can help?

Problem with Adobe Pro and Reader on terminal server

Hi,
We have have a Terminal Server environment with Adobe Pro and Reader. We have security for Adobe Pro, so only certain user has access to Adobe Pro and all users has access to Adobe Reader.
Some users receive many email with pdf's attachments in Outlook and need to print these attachments. They use the Outlook function to print email and attachment automatically. The users who has access to Adobe Pro can print attachment automatically with no problem.
The problem is user who only have access to Adobe Reader. The user can't print attachment automatically with the email, only the email is printed. But, they can open attachment and print with Adobe Reader. But, it's impossible to open each attachment because there are so many.

So if I understand correctly,
1. You have installed Acrobat Pro & Reader on a Terminal server.
2. You have created a security group in your Active Directory Users & Computers for users having access to Acrobat
3. You have set permissions on C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exe on the terminal server and provided access only to the security group created above.
4. Users are accessing the Terminal server through RDWeb or connecting remotely through MSTSC (RDP) or using a .RDP file
5. Users get emails with PDF attachments and print the mail directly without opening the PDF in Reader.
Users check the box to print the attachments with the mail (see snapshot below):
Some questions:
1. What is the OS and platform (x86 or x64) of the terminal server?
2. What are the versions of Acrobat & Reader on the terminal server?

I'm not sure that I follow. Are you saying that when you open a PDF file in Acrobat or Reader, that the display resolution changes automatically on your system?
What version of Acrobat/Reader are you using? Do you see this same issue in other files/applications?

Having Installation troubles with Adobe Flash and Reader

While downloading the Installer I get a "failed to initialize" warning at 50%. I've disabled my antivirus, and my firewall and I still get the same message. I'm in the process of updating my girlfriends laptop and these are the last two things I need done. any help?

Error Connecting to SLD, while CC integration with ECC 6.0

Dear All,
I am using the CC v and from ECC IDES. I cannot connect to the SLD. It is giving an Error.
When I try to register the Server Programs in Vis Admin and click the SET button I am getting an error "Error Adding Bundles". In the ABAP part I am getting the same error of RFC connection.
Now from ECC when I do a SM59, and then goto TCP/IP connections, on creating this connections I cannot make them UNICODE as the R3 system is Non-Unicode. So these dont work.
What am I supposed to do.
Please let me know. This is very urgent and useful replies will be awarded full points.

Replying to this old post hoping for some answers.
We had researched this and converted to Integrated ITS using our ZCATW over a year ago. The notes read that while integrated ITS is a suppoted platform, ESS scenarios for which newer technology exists are no longer supported. We tested ZCATW under ECC5 and decided to move forward because of a pending technical upgrade. We are now in the middle of the technical upgrade and wishing to keep it technical we are trying to keep ZCATW going and then look at the newer components as a seperate project. Has anyone found a way to overcome the above issue in CATW/ECC6?

Open a PDF with Adobe's PDF Reader

Hi all,
I have a Nokia Lumia 720, and placed a PDF file on to the SD card in a folder called DOCUMENTS.
After downloading Adobe PDF Reader and installing the app, when I open the app, it says NO FILES AVAILABLE.
Where do I need to place the PDF file for it to be found?
Any ideas?

Ray (rayhipkiss) thanks for the advice. And to scoobyman, who had the solution.
After copying the file from my (Win7) PC to the phone (and I tried copying it to the SD card) using the USB cable, it would not show up at all, even in Office.
Scoobyman suggested that I place the file into my SkyDrive folder. That did it, and it does now appear when I open the Adobe PDF Reader, BUT, it still doesn't show up in the phone when I browse the Phone & SD Card.
When I opened the file, it had to download it from SkyDrive first, and then it opened.
Not a very neat way of doing things, but I am getting the hang of this Lumia 720 after 4 weeks now.
Some of it is logical, but other things are not too clear!

Basically when i debug it with AIR, the chat is working properly but the webcam and whiteboard just don't work....I really don't know what's wrong with it already...Appreciate it if anyone can help,thanks!!

My take is , is your autopromote tuned on for the room. I mean whats
your user role when an user enters the room(who is not host), is it 10
or 50. If its 10 i.e. viewer , then he cant use his own cam etc. You
need to take a look at the logs when an user enters and if its 10 and
you want to give him these permissions, turn autopromote on from the
devconsole for the room to make his role 50 i.e. publisher.
I just now downloaded 2.5.1 AIR and created a new project with your
source and I am able to use everything.

Printing preview with adobe pro or acrobat reader

When I print a document I generally use the Preview button to check what the document looks like.
Is it normal that with Adobe Pro or Reader the Preview buttons returns the following comment "preview is not supported".

Yes, that seems like the expected behavior - I am not exactly sure why Adobe does this, but it happens here too.
If it's important, you could ask on the Adobe site or send feedback to Apple asking why this occurs.

Communication problem with Adobe 9.0 and HP Printer when I scan

I'm having a problem getting a .pdf file to come up when I scan from a HP 5610 All-in-one printer. Have uninstalled and reinstalled HP software three times but when I scan and want a pdf file it won't communicate with Adobe 9.0 reader for some reason. Is there a setting in Adobe reader that's a problem?

Thanks...found out that an HP5610xi All-in-One will not completely communicate with Adobe 9.0 Had to go to Adobe 6.0

Saving a fillable form in Adobe 7.0 Reader

Hi,
I created a fillable form in LiveCycle, and distributed through the company.
If other people read it with adobe 7.0 reader they are unable to save it with the data still in it what am I missing, I have tried changing the security settings within the document but still no joy !!!!
Can anyone help.

Rebecca - Dave's reply was missing an answer to your question: "Everybody that receives it buys Acrobat 8"? No, those using the forms DO NOT need to have Acrobat Professional 8. Usually one person (such as yourself), has Acrobat 8 and enables the rights on those forms created (there is actually a selection to do this). Once the form is enabled, anyone who simply has Reader can fill in and save a form.

PDF to PS: fonts missing with Reader8, ok with Reader5

I would appreciate help on this issue with Adobe Reader8 with some files.
I am using Adobe Reader on Solaris (sparc) and I use
/path/to/acroread -toPostScript -pairs file.pdf file.ps
to create PostScript files. This works fine for most files, including most files with Asian fonts.
However, for some PDFs with Asian fonts, the PS generated by Reader8 is missing some Asian fonts,
so the output is garbled, although PS generated by Reader5 is just fine.
If I open the PDF in Reader8 GUI then it appears fine.
Here is the PDF as well as output produced by both Reader5 and Reader8:

What am I doing wrong and what should I do make the fonts appear in the PS from Reader8?

Well, Kurt Lang did solve my problem and I won't ever be enough thankful to him. He tried one of my font and took the time to examine it with FontLab Studio. In case other persons experiment the same type of troubles, I am pasting the mail I got (along with the corrected font) for info :

I did find one issue in particular. OpenType fonts should have a UTM setting of 1000. These were at 2048. So I changed those and had FontLab Studio rebuild the names (I just let it do its thing).
The originals you had sent wouldn’t even appear in Office 2011. The rebuilt ones do, though for whatever reason, bold italic won’t show. However, you can click the italic and bold buttons and the correct font is used. Otherwise, the new fonts all work as expected in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, TextEdit and others. I tested them in both Mavericks and Yosemite.
Can’t guarantee success, but give these a shot.

That guy is an angel. He spent a tremendous amount of time examining, testing on Mavericks and Yosemite and on several apps until resolving the problem. Too helpful, too nice and too competent. That's a treat.

Adobe APSB11-03 Reader X 10.0.1 for Windows - FAILS

We have been having problems getting this patch to install - Patch Bundle Adobe APSB11-03 Reader X 10.0.1 for Windows (Update). It keeps giving the errors:

The action VerifyBundle (ID:Adobe APSB11-03 Reader X 10.0.1 for Windows (Updat-1013520322) failed due to the reason : Failed to launch C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENworks/zpm/Remediate.exe. Exit code: -1073741819, however the action is set to continue on failure.
I have tried re-caching it a couple times but the error continues. Has anyone else run into this?
