just had to update my PC with a 64 bit operating system to cope with my Nikon d800 files, spent the afternoon re-installing programmes including pse 10, cant install camera raw 6.7 or update pse elements because of error cose u41m1c212, have tried turning off my firewall but that didnt help, only running microsoft security essentials. any ideas ????? jen

after a frustrating couple of hours.......i uninstalled pse, installed a DNG converter and acr 6.7 and then pse10 again ...... all seems to be working. The DNG converter sorted mu problems i think.

For the D7100 you do indeed need ACR 7.4.
Hopefully the advice given by R_Kelly above should help you to update your PSE 11.
If you have downloaded/installed the latest DNG 8,1 converter, then that should recognize the NEF files. If not, please check that you are not using old Nikon software to import the images - this is known to cause the problem.
Otherwise, the DNG works on folders - you should point it to the folder containing the images not a file.

I am unable to download an update for photoshop elements 11. I keep getting error code U41M1C212.

Can anyone help me figure out how to download the update for ver 11. I have a new camera (Nikon d7100) and the raw files are not supported. I want to download the latest update which I figure should support this new camera. I have tried updating numerous times and I have turned my firewall off...but alas...it didn't work anyway.

Usually means you have the Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter installed in your device manager and it's interfering with the Adobe Application Updater. Disable it and try again.

Problem downloading updates for Elements 11. Error code: U41M1C212

Thanks for the tip, however I had seen this one before and it didn't work for me as the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Adapter was not visible. Then when I used the tip below I found it and was able to disable it and the update worked fine. Between the two of you I now have the ability to update, thanks very much.
1) Under Control Panel, navigate to the top right search bar and type in "device manager"2) Click on "Device manager" after the searchYou should see a tree-like map of your devices in the new window3) Navigate: view>show hidden devices4) Under "Network adapters", right click on the "Microsoft Wi-fi Direct Virtual Adapter" and select disable.5) Run updates for your Adobe software on your Windows 8 machine and VOILA!!

Cannot update camera raw plugin in PSE10 for D800 support

having some major problems, just bought a D800, upgraded my pc with a 64 bit os and more ram, re-installed all my programs and cant open my files in PSE, its saying its the wrong files type, go to update pse10 and im getting an error cose u41m1c212, have downloaded a dng converter and trying to download acr 6.7.1 ...help !!!

You need DNG Converter 6.7 or later, but download DNG Converter 7.4 (or 8.1).
You need ACR 6.7
When you convert the NEF raw files using the DNG Converter 6.7 or later, then PSE 10 will recognize them.

Update Error #U41M1C212 on Flash CS5

I click on update for flash CS5 I get error msg #U41M1C212
The error says, "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again later. Error Code U41M1C212
If someone knows how to fix this please let me know. I know for a fact that my internet is working fine or else I would not have been able to post this message.

Everytime i have iTunes open and then click on iTunes store, i try and go to my account or purchase a song and it DOES NOT let me!!!! it just keeps saying error cose (-1202) when i try to go to manage my account and whenever i try buying a song it says
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (-9808). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later"
but i have tried again later it's been saying this for like a month.

We have never tried before today, but we are having the exact same problem - all morning. Windows XP Pro SP3, Internet connection is not using a proxy server so far as I can tell (standard Verizon FIOS connection).

( could not connect, and download updates). Found solution in Forums acrobat discussion ( Update server not responding" when trying to update Acrobat 9 Pro ) from Ken7795, his solution worked perfectly, 1. Open Network and Sharing Center 2. Click Change adapter settings
3. Right-click the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, and click Disable.
My question is, why this solution works ? Thank you for your help.

Sounds like an Acrobat question since the error only occured when updating Acrobat, but regardless, what is the Microsoft Virtual WiFi adapter that you have and is it running? It could be a conflict with the adapter with another adapter (software related). Being that the package for the Virtual adpater is part of the MSDN Developer Platform, you might want to cross post this in the MSDN forum as developers on that level will have more of an understanding of why development software would conflict with production software.

PLEASE HELP!!! Error - 36 when copying from powerbook to iMac/Lacie HDs

I'm working on a film and have captured to my powerbook G4 in FCP. I am now trying to transfer my scratch disk to either my iMac (intel 2.4GHz) or my Lacie HD extreme 500 GB / Lacie 250 GB.
When I drag the folder over, it starts copying and then at some point (normally about half way through) it says:
"The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in shot 9 could not be read or written (error cose -36)"
It does this for a number of different files in the folder. I have tried copying them one by one, and a few will copy then I'll get to a file and the same error will occur. The files on the powerbook are intact and open and play as expected. I have tried using my powerbook in TD mode with iMac and linking to both Lacie drives with FW400, FW800 and USB.
I haven't tried copying over my network yet but am reluctant to do this as firstly there is over 30GB of material and secondly I worry about the accuracy of a copy over wifi.
I recently had my logic board replaced on powerbook and have done an erase and install of OSX Leopard and am running 10.5.6 on both machines.
I found very little on these boards about error 36 and so would massively appreciate any help on this - this is my first really important scary project and I have a looming deadline!!!

You should use Disk Utility to verify both the source and destination disks. Post the error messages here if you see any.
How is the LaCie formatted? It really should be Mac OS Extended. FAT formatted disks have file size limitations which can cause all kind of problems.

A -36 error is an I/O error. My first though would be a bad cable, but you have apparently tried several of these, over several different busses (the buss could also be a culprit). That leaves a potential disk error.
OK, so you captured this footage on the Powerbook. You did this post-format/reinstall, right? You captured this to the Powerbook's internal drive, right? DV footage (or worse, HD footage) uses huge amounts of disk space. How much? How close to completely full is this internal hard drive? If you allowed the available space to approach zero, especially when running something like FCP, this may have caused the disk error.
Assuming you still have some space left on the Powerbook's internal drive, are you able to make an internal copy of one of these "troublesome" files using just the Powerbook in isolation? If not, and where you cannot, you have a corrupted file. Corrupted by a disk error. Yes, you may be able to access them just fine, and they may actually play within FCP, but they are incomplete in some way; they are missing some bytes, Kbytes, or Mbytes. If you find this to be the case, you might consider that you need to re-capture.
If they can be copied internally, there is probably something else going on here. If they can be copied internally, you should be able to copy them to some external media.

Hi,
check whether the java path given is correct in the setJavaEn bat file.
I also got the same abstract lang error cos the java path which was given in the setJavaEn file was wrong.
I corrected the path and started the rmi again and the error disappeared.

JAXB binding compiler error "Unique Particle Attribution"

I'm trying to compile an xsd but get an error:
parsing a schema...
[ERROR] cos-nonambig: "":SomeData and WC[##any] (or elements from their substitution group) violate "Unique Particle Attribution".
line 4 of TestCase.xsd
Failed to parse a schema.
I've narrowed the error down to this test case:
