Hi Dave,
If  you have retries  and dropped packets between the  Radio link , it would effect the  TCP retransmission , however can you please clarify where you are seeing packet errors  are you seeing or referin to " show interface fa/gi  0/1 etc" on  br1310  bridge.

  • What does this actually mean and how do I fix it: Alert: Error Count Monitor Resolution state Object Hyper-V Virtual Storage Device Has a value

We are getting this alert on a fair few of our VMs with VHDXs and Dynamic VHDs. Everything seems OK but I am not sure what this actually means and what I need to do to resolve the issue. How do I reset the error count if that is what is required? Thanks

But I am getting this alert from SCOM and SCOM has no information about the alert for me to find out what to do - thought that was the point of SCOM to let you know of problems and how to resolve them. :)
The alert is coming from the Error Count Monitor that is part of the Hyper-V Management Pack Extensions (v 4.0.0.0)
I have tried looking in the Event Logs on the Host and there doesn't seem to be any storage related errors there. I am trying to establish if this is a false positive, why it is happening and if it is safe to override and ignore.
There is nothing on the Product Knowledge tab and nothing on the Alert Context other than what I have already mentioned (see below).
    Thanks for responding.

  • What has caused "data error count"  under execution detail on Audit browser

    Hi,
I have a simple mapping that load data from external table to target fact table. From OWB Runtime Audit browser, the Execution Details page show the status= Complete + <Red error sign>. And the value under Data error count is 2563. Where can I look for information about what has caused this errors or what the data error are? The SQL*Loader log file looks OK and no bad file generated. And I don't see suspecious under WB_RT_AUDIT*, WB_RT_ERROR tables It's owb9ir2 on 9iDB Thanks.

Solved. I set the audit level to the highest and re-executed and can see the error msg now. It would be nice if audit broser can show the report for all the rejected rows.

  • Get-NetIPConfiguration increments $Error count without posting error

    Hi All:
I observed that the Get-NetIPConfiguration cmdlet increments the $Error count even when successful without posting an error.
    Problem Description
I'm building an application that embeds the Get-NetIPConfiguration cmdlet within a scriptmethod of a psobject. Although NetIPConfiguration appears to work just fine, it increments the error count. Here's a sample error message for the $Error variable:

This behavior occurs when run on the local host. When the Get-NetIPConfiguration command is wrapped in an Invoke-Command and issued to a remote server (Hyper-V Server R2), no errors are reported. If the command is issued locally on the same
server, the error count increments. Anyway, if someone would be willing to confirm this behavior and/or submit a problem report to encourage a fix, that would be great. Thanks in advance!
    Have a GREAT DAY!!
    Shaun

    Hi,
I tried that on my computer, and even got no error when running get-netroute, after run Get-NetIPConfiguration, it incresed the error count to 1. And the $error was same as yours.
I would like to suggest you also post the issue into the following link:

In reply to your original question, the column numbers in JDBC start at 1, not at 0. So this line of code is the problem:
    System.out.println(rs.getString(0));It should read:
System.out.println(rs.getString(1));And, being an autogenerated column, isn't it a numeric value? Do you really want to read it as a String?

  • Error count based on business unit and Vehicle type

    Hi,
i have a custom error idoc table which contains idoc no, business unit, vehicle type and error message.
Now here my requirement is to display the total count(Error count) of each message based on business unit and
Vehicle type and display it in the output list as shown below. what is the best way to achieve this as there will be number(atleast 6) of error messages available for a business unit based on vehicle type and there are around 15 business units  overall for which i should display the error count.
buisness unit| Vehicle Type | Status | Error message                            |                   Error count
    71320            WT10               51          Organizational channel missing                      10

    Hi,
Assign business unit level read access to your entity for which you have written the Report.
Assign the respective business unit to the user, in your case assign business unit Partner to user Partner
and  business unit Manager to user Manager
Also use filtered view in your report if it is SSRS report.

  • Virtual Storage Error Count report large number

    Hi,
I've win 2012 std with hyperv role on it.
i've setup a virtual machine with 1 IDE disk and 1 SCSI disk all VHD on local disk.
when i monitor the server with veeam one it report that the Virtual Storage Error Count in large (9) on the SCSI driver even if this drive is not loaded at all.
    why is that?

    Hi,
I've win 2012 std with hyperv role on it.
i've setup a virtual machine with 1 IDE disk and 1 SCSI disk all VHD on local disk.
when i monitor the server with veeam one it report that the Virtual Storage Error Count in large (9) on the SCSI driver even if this drive is not loaded at all.
    why is that?
I've seen this particular issue on several occasions as well as from various monitoring tools. Here is another thread concerning this same alert for a Virtual Storage Device Error Count with a value of 9, however, the source of the alert in this case is
the Hyper V Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagermgmtpacks/thread/6f4248aa-ed66-4ae1-b767-8238efc2e162/
In each of these instances of the issue, there are a few environmental variables that generally seem to remain the same -
The affected VM's are Server 2012 or Windows 8 guests running on a Server 2012 Hyper V host.
The VHD's reporting the high Virtual Storage Device Error Count are using a SCSI controller.
    The disks are not pass-through disks ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2624495 )
In most cases the same value of 9 is reported for the error count metric.
The same error count value can be observed within Perfmon.exe on the host containing the affected VM(s) by adding the following performance counter for the affected VHD(s):
Hyper-V Virtual Storage Device > Error Count
The metric value for the affected VHD(s) can be reset by powering off the VM and rebooting the host server, however, this is often not possible in a production environment. Additionally, the error count value climbs to and halts at 9 immediately after the VM
is powered back on. I've observed this behavior in Perfmon.exe while testing ways to reset the counter and, in turn, clear the alarms from any monitoring tools. There do not seem to be any correlating events logged in the Event Viewer or cluster
events that would indicate that there actually is an issue occurring with the Virtual Storage Device.
Overriding the alert completely would not be ideal as this would cause no alerts to trigger in the event of an actual problem with the device, thus I would like to find a way to reset only this particular performance counter while both the host and the VM(s)
are powered on. Additionally, any information in regards to the root cause of this issue would be appreciated!

  • What is a CRC Error Count in SMART Utility

Ok...I've been having a massive beach balling problem, and was told by one of the fellow community members to DL a SMART Utility..which I did.
My CRC Error Count is now starting to climb, and is up to 2289.  I also started with NO errors, and am now up to 12 errors, with the last error being "command aborted".  Help please!  I think my HD is failing, but SMART says no.

Cyclic Redundancy Check  is a common technique for detecting data transmission errors.
As long as you got your data backed up, you have nothing to worry about.
TimeMachine on one powered external drive conected all the time and a Carbon Copy Clone on another disconnected and updated once a week is prefered.
Format both external drives HFS+Journaled in Disk Utility.
Your covered both from human errors and hardware failures as you can hold option key and boot off the clone.
If your having problems you can try cleaning everything out of your caches and letting the computer rebuild itself.
Downlaod and run ALL the cleaning and maintainece aspects of the FREE OnyX and reboot
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/
Hold c and boot off the disk that comes with your comptuer and under the Utilities menu is Disk Utility
Select your drive on the left and Repair Permisisons (ignore what you see)
Then Repair Disk, if you get any errors here that are NOT repaired, then you got a issue with your drive.

  • MAXIMUM ERROR COUNT EXCEEDED sqlloader

    Hello
I am getting an error in sqlloader MAXIMUM ERROR COUNT EXCEEDED, How fix that error? how to fix the table.
    Thanks
    Prince

    Prince,
SQL Loader has a default of 50 errors that are allowable after which the loader process exits.
You can increase the limit using the ERRORS CLause.
    SQLLDR CONTROL=foo.ctl, LOG=bar.log, BAD=baz.bad, DATA=etc.dat
       USERID=scott/tiger, ERRORS=999 , LOAD=2000, DISCARD=toss.dis,
DISCARDMAX=5In the case of the above control file, the execution would quit after 999 records have errors in them.
If the file is pretty large and you want all errors be allowed, use a very large number for ERRORS.
Also, take a look at the bad file.. Sometimes an error in the control (like wrong column order..) file might cause all the records to error out.
Check this link and search for ERRORS : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96652/ch04.htm
    Thanks,
    Rajesh.

  • AEM - Error count monitor

    Morning folks
Bit of a niche question here around agentless exception monitoring. The goal we have is to receive an email alert when a users desktop Dr Watsons a particular application. I have set up AEM correctly, and have started collecting Dr Watson events. However
there are no subscription options for specific AEM events.
I see that there are three aggregate rollup groups for application events that can generate an alert when a specific number of users or computers experience this crash. Ideally I would like to subscribe to this alert for this application group.
However it seems the threshold to trip either the  is hard coded to +50 users/error counts/computers.
Does anyone know how I can override this monitors threshold to +1 instead of +50? Its not available as an override to the aggregate monitor it seems. And I need to make it more sensitive, so I can generate an alert that I can subscribe to.

    Hi,
Would you please go through the below article to monitor appications:
Application Performance Monitoring with Operations Manager 2012
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/server-cloud/archive/2011/11/11/application-performance-monitoring-with-operations-manager-2012.aspx
If the threshold is hard-coded,we may need to open the XML file and find the monitor part to edit it.

  • Ultra DMA CRC Error Count

I have a SATA 6 drive which is being downgraded from Ultra DMA by Windows 7.  It used to handle about 130MB/s, now it's being limited to 25MB/s.  This is apparently due to the Ultra DMA CRC Error Count going to 9 from a bad connection.  I've
replaced the connection, but cannot find any way to make Windows 7 retry the drive at the higher data rate.
With Windows XP there was a registry key (ResetErrorCountersOnSuccess) that you could add to make it re-detect, but this doesn't appear to work with Windows 7.  In fact all the solutions I can find online only seem to work with XP.  Is there some
way to fix this without re-initializing the drive?  I really don't relish the idea of transferring 4TB of data at 25MB/s (40+ hours!) just to reset the drive.

    Hi,
Have you tried to manually turn DMA on through device manager?
Please take a try with the follwoing steps:
Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking
Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under
System, clicking Device Manager.‌  If you're prompted for
an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    Double-click IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
Under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, for each item that has the word
Channel as part of its label, right-click the item, and then click
    Properties.
Click the Advanced Settings tab. Under Device Properties, select or clear the
Enable DMA check box, and then click OK.
    More information, please see:

  • Read the transmit/receive error counter from CAN

I would like to read every packet that runs accross the CAN bus. I am in a situation where my Can Receive.vi is set to read any CAN bus errors, but I would like to see the entire can packet(including CRC values, DLC values, etc etc). Is there a way to do this? Any sample vi's out there?
Also, I'de like to read the status of the receive/transmit error counter on either side I assume. I am trying to see what my arbitration values hover around (less than 128, over 128, etc etc).
    Thanks for any help.
    Andre

    Hi Andre
The NI CAN hardware does not have the ability to access the full raw CAN frame. This is because of the used CAN controller (Philips SJA 1000 on Series 2 CAN hardware) does which does not provide all of this information. However, the following data is provided:
Arbitration ID (11 or 29 bit)
    Data Length (DLC)
    Remote Frame Flag (RTR)
    Data (0-8 byte)
As you are interested in the raw/unconverted CAN data, you should focus on the NI-CAN Frame API, as the NI-CAN Channel API tries to abstract these information.
With Series 2 CAN hardware, you have read access to the receive/transmit error counter. Take a look at the ncGetAttr function (Frame API) or the GetProperty function (Channel API) and query the ‘Series 2 Error/Arb Capture’ attribute or the ‘Interface Series 2 Error / Arb Capture’ property for that. You can find more details on how to read the returned data in the help for the two functions.

MAXIMUM ERROR COUNT EXCEEDED - Above statistics reflect partial run.
    Table "INCA"."UP_STRUC_VALU":
    1619733 Rows successfully loaded.
51 Rows not loaded due to data errors.
0 Rows not loaded because all WHEN clauses were failed.
0 Rows not loaded because all fields were null.
Space allocated for bind array: 6400 bytes(64 rows)
    Read buffer bytes: 1048576
    Total logical records skipped: 0
    Total logical records read: 1619808
    Total logical records rejected: 51
    Total logical records discarded: 0

please help me to resolve the porblem.

The errors are occurring due to a unique constraint (i.e. duplicate values being loaded)
    (Allow all discards)
    Number to load: ALL
    Number to skip: 0
    Errors allowed: 50
Bind array: 64 rows, maximum of 256000 bytes
...And your error limit is set to 50, so sqlldr will quit after 50 errors. See the docs on how to set this parameter
