Error creating unique tmp file

I get this prompt when trying to view video off yahoo or cnn. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Mike

Just figured out the problem. You need to install some files from "Flip4Mac". Here's the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/download.aspx
Apparently, I was missing "Windows Media Components for QuickTime", which allows you to watch all these Windows Media video clips in your web browser (Safari, Netscape,etc.). Download and install this, restart your web browser, and the clips should now work. (You should probably also confirm that you have the latest Windows Media Player 9 installed - which I'm assuming you do).
Hope this helps! I've been dealing with the same irritating error message now for several months!

    Thanks,
    Vlad.

    I don't have the bug number handy but I'm quite certain this was
    resolved in one of the post-s10_69 builds. Please download the
    official Solaris 10 initial release and by all means, let us know if you
    continue to see this issue during zone installation.

  • Okay, so I try to download and every time it says "There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete the installation".   Anyone know how to fix this?

    Ensure antivirus is disabled. McAfee interfered with my iTunes installer resulting in this error. When I temporarily disabled McAfee, the installer completed successfully.

  • After Effects error: Creating a resource file

    Hi everyone
    I'm administrating a machine with several users mainly using After Effects. The machine runs on Windows 7 64 bit.
    I recently had to install videocopilots Optical Flares. Everything runs fine on my admin account but if i open AE on a user account i get an error message while on the loading screen. It says:
    After Effects error: Creating a resource file "c:insert path to OpticalFlares.aex here" (might be a bit different in english as i translated this from german)
    Every user has full read and write permission on the AE support files folder. Has anyone ever had such an error? All other plugins work as they should on every account.
    Thanks for any hints!
    Michael

    I still think it is a permissions/ user privileges/ policies/ security issue - if it runs on one account, it is unlikely the plug-in is damaged or you installed the 32bit version in CS5 or vice versa. I strongly suspect the plug-in is unable to probe your graphics card and thus never initializes. Perhaps it's being blocked by some security tool or your user account doesn't have the permissions to load system drivers. The latter can be fixed by changing the respective entry in your group policy editor (gpedit.msc). The respective point would be in Computerkonfiguration --> Windows-Einstellungen --> Sicherheitseinstellungen --> Lokale Richtlinien --> Zuweisen von Benutzerrechetn --> Laden und Entfernen von Gerätetreibern. And of course temporarily turn off security stuff to verify it's not the problem.

  • Error creating swf movie file

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a virtual world but every time I try and publish it, it says error creating swf movie file. Here's a video to show you what i mean:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRAAGoQK80A&feature=youtu.be

    Hi foxxy123,
    Two things that I noticed in the video:
    1) You are not saving the file before publishing.
    2) Flash warns you about the fonts missing from your system while opening the file.
    "The document contains one or more fonts not available on your system. The text will display and publish with the font mapping below:"
    So download and install the fonts on your computer "Blaster" and "Blaster Infinite" and save the file before publishing.
    It doesn't seem to be saying error creating swf movie file, it just says something about the font not being right.
    The message warn you that you have an anti-alias mode set on text and it requires you to have embedded fonts to use anti-aliasing. If you do not want to see that message anymore, then select your text blocks and set the anti-alias types to Use Device Fonts.
    You can disable the warning message in the preferences dialog
    Edit > Preferences > Warnings > uncheck "Warn on text needs embedded font".
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    I feel stuck. I tried everything, incl. various Lessons but still get this error.
    Could it be that I am using Air 1.5.2 but the older extension for dreamweaver 1.5.8.?
    If this is the cause, when will the extension be updated??
    I also read about possible certification problems. How can I check that?
    DW Air Extension doesn't support it.

  • System errors -  creating a log file

    Is there any class, method for trapping system, application errors, exceptions and warnings in a system and then creating a log file.

    It sounds like the OP is looking for a way to "listen" for System events and log those to a file. Is this correct? If so, you'll probably need to look at a JNI solution...

  • 'Error Creating Flash Movie File'

    It says "Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a
    locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long."
    I don't see how either of those could be a possibility. And I
    get this whether I'm testing the file or publishing it.
    Anyone have an idea what's going on?

    It's not just Mac, I'm also having the same problem in
    Windows. CS3 and CF8 both running on the same machine. After I use
    DW to preview my site in the browser, then making changes in Flash
    and attempting to republish or preview in browser again, I get the
    same error. If you try to modify or delete the SWF file Windows
    won't allow it. It's like CF is keeping the SWF file open after
    closing the browser?
    I am only able to free up the SWF by restarting the CF8
    Application Server service.
    A real pain in the butt!!

  • FCP to compressor w/cluser problem FCP tmp files.

    So I have no problem submitting single video to my cluster.
    I use "Never copy source to Cluster" from compressor.
    I keep source media on an NFS share on my desktop client.
    I am submitting to a 6 machine cluster of G5s.
    I recently started attempting to tackle submitting FCP projects through compressor. I have read that there are issues submitting with FIle->Export->Compressor and thus have been attemping to submit right from the sequence file in the browser. The problem that I am having is this.
    <mrk tms="254678829.330" tmt="01/26/2009 11:07:09.330" pid="1736" kind="end" what="service-request" req-id="7A5BF634-78FA-478E-B15D-4AB049CA04BB:1" msg='Preprocessing job request error (exception=Source file "/private/var/folders/Jq/JqzDuvOaH6yDxo3jBmBOVk+TI/TemporaryItems/44D666EA-870F-4B47-92A8-5A.fcp" not accessible on the cluster and remote copy is disabled).'></mrk>
    FCP seems to be creating a tmp file of the project on my local desktop which is NOT apart of the cluster. This tmp file is not being read by the cluster. I have even mounted the /private/var/folders/Jq/JqzDuvOaH6yDxo3jBmBOVk+TI/TemporaryItems/ location on my desktop machine to all the cluster nodes in addition to already having mounted the root location of the drive that contains the media for the project.
    Any ideas would be more than welcome.

    It is still possible to submit FCP sequences to Compressor, however, the batch will fail when you try to send that batch to a cluster. What QMaster does is "open separate copies" of a program per instance. For example, if you have a Cluster where service nodes are broken up into multiple instances each, QMaster will expect to open Final Cut Pro (since that's where the source footage is located) on every single instance.
    If you want to use your cluster for encoding, export a Quicktime file from FCP and submit that file to Compressor.

  • TMP file

    Hi sir,
    I've created a little piece of code
    <code>byte[] code=sp.getCode();
                   String agentclass=sp.getClassName();
                   String agentname=sp.getAgentName();
                   try {
                        // Create temp file.
                        File tmp = File.createTempFile(agentclass, ".java");
                        // Delete temp file when program exits.
                        tmp.deleteOnExit();
                        // Write agent's byte[] code to temp file
                        OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(tmp);
                        out.write(code);
                        out.close();
                   } catch (IOException e) {
                        System.out.println("Unrecoverable I/0 Error");
                        throw e;
                   }</code>
    that must create a tmp file with the given pathname (specified in the variable agentclass) , with the extension .java.
    So I put into it a byte array wich contains the java code.
    And I need that the file just created doesn't throw any syncronizazion problems..so I used the method .deleteonexit()..
    In the end I need to RUN and USE the methods inside the file just created...(the code is a thread)...BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW....
    Is it the right way?
    How do I do that?
    thanks for your great help

  • Create unique index on flow table

    Hi
    I always get this error 'Create unique index on flow table ERROR" while implementing SCD2. Please help me.I have made an Update Key which is a combination of 4 columns that want a new row to be inserted if there is a change in data.One of the above columns is the EMPLOYEE ID,
    My surrogate key is the table's primary key but I have not defined it as a key in mapping and also I have turned off the Primary Key Constraint Option in Controls Panel as NO.
    Where am I wrong? Also please tell me what to take care off while making Natural Key ?

    There are two solutions:
    1. Only use uppercase in the table name
    2. go in Topology>Physical Architecture and edit the technology, then click on
    the "Language" tab and set "Object Delimiter" to empty.
    Thanks,
    Sutirtha

  • Error creating TFSBuild.proj via Create Ant Build Configuration Wizard in Eclipse Team Explorer

    In Eclipse Team Explorer, when I try to create TFSBuild.proj via Create Ant Build Configuration Wizard, when I click Finish, I get this error:
    Error creating build configuration files: Invalid server path or the archive with the same name already exists on the server.
    I also get this error in the Console, plus a couple other messages:
    Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
    Parameter name: pathLength
    Error creating build configuration files: Invalid server path or the archive with the same name already exists on the server.
    I am following the instructions here:
    https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/setup-ci-build-in-eclipse.aspx
    I have already successfully created build definitions and queued and run builds using Visual Studio. I'm using that same build agent.
    Any ideas?
    By the way, I'm using Visual Studio Online with an on-premises build agent.
    Update: I also tried to delete my builds, delete the build agent, create a new build agent - still same problem.
    I tried this on another dev machine with no visual studio or workspaces previously installed - still same problem.
    I tried creating the version control folder where it was trying to store TFSBuild.proj. I tried using a build.xml that was in a shorter path. Still same problem.

    tomasr2 good evening.
    I believe the problem is the same that occurs when we have the name of the files in the build nomento exceeding 250 characters
    looking full name of TFSBuild.prj file (file directories +) with how many characters are getting?
    For example: $ / Project1 / Solution1 / BuildDefinition1 / TFSBuild.prj => 50 characters.
    I hope it helps.
