Hy Experts,
I just installed the 8.8 update SBO PL 14,
When I want to use CrystalReport, I receive an error message
Like "crw32.exe - Entry Point Not Found"
? PrintLegend CMapXLegend @ @ @ @ CSLib300 QAEXJJJJJ @ Z was not found in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll "

Hi Didier Le Van........
If you are getting any problem related to DLL then its corrupted. So I would suggest you to uninstall CR 2008 and delete the Business Object Folder created at the time of installation from c\program files\Business Objects.......
Then try fresh Installation of Crystal Report 2008. Hope this will solve your problem.......

i am using a server with windows 2008 server and xeon 5520 series processor. windows in 64 bit with 16 Gb of ram.
everything is working fine except the print option in crystal report..
i tried installing crystal report basic runtime but it says that it doesnt supprt xeon processor .

You'll have to supply a whole bunch more detailed info. Telling me that you have 2008 server and xeon 5520 series processor, windows in 64 bit is like telling your mechanic that you have a blue car with 4 wheels and it does not work. No info re. engine, of make or what the problem is... And with that info, you want your mechanic to fix the car...
1) What CR / BO SDK are you using?
2) what version of the above are you using?
3) What updates for (1) above are you using?
4) What development language are you using?
5) How are you deploying the runtime for (1) above?
6) What is the precise error message you are getting?
Think about the info I would need to accurately reproduce the issue. What info would probably be good to have?

Error Crystal report When viewed through SAP B1

SAP B1 8.8 PL 16,SQL 2008
I am facing error (Unable to retrive data from database)(Vendor code-156) while accessing Crystal report from client machine throgh SAP B1.I have imported Crystal report through manage layout.The crystal reported is in shared in SAP server B1 SHR folder.I am able to access data from crystal report when viewed otherwise.When accessed crsytal report through SAP b1 on SAP Server crystal report is working fine.

Hi Saurabh Lamba,
Go To Administration / System Initialisation / Authorisation / General Authorisation & Set Authorisation for user.
If you have to Set Authorisation for user allready then follow this steps.
1.Restore Database as Test Company.
2.Export Report From Live Company.
3.Import this Report in Test Company as different name.
4.Export Report from Test Company have you Imported as deifferent name.
5.Again Import this Report in Live company as different name
I don't know what's the logic behind it.

Error Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer in Windows 8.1

As you can see from the picture I get this error when trying to load the report anyone have any suggestions?, This happens with windows 8 on windows 7 I have no problems with the application

The error is not having connection to the database, the error is that it can not open the temporary file that Crystal Report generates before opening the report but it only gives the error when running on Windows 8, Windows 7 not same program fails.
It conect to a MySql database using. Net Framework Data Provider for MySQL in a 32 Bits

Printing Error Crystal Report 9

When printing from Crystal report 9 packing slips where the description is 100 characters
Will get a error message that says "failed to open a row set.file PrintPick List.rpt" which hangs up
printing all other packing slips. Is there a way to prevent this?

Looks like you are using a 3rd party application(?). If that is the case, you will have to get your answer from the creators of the application.

Error - Crystal Reports has stopped working

I have downloaded the CR 2011 trial, and I am trying to open a Crystal 7 report. The strange thing is that it was opening OK before, but has now stopped opening. Some of the Crystal 7 reports I have are able to be opened, and others are not.
The error is not helpful - Crystal Reports has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the CR 2011 trial, but this has not helped.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Can you create a brand new reports against those Stored Procedures?
Are the .rpt files from CR 7 still have the old "last modified" date?
What if you try a middle CR version, like install temporary CR XIR2, open and save the reports and then try to open in the latest version?
Do you know if failing reports have any external links like Linked pictures, OLE objects, etc.?
Have you ever used Process Monitor utility? It may be helpful to identify what CR is trying to do.

Unknown Database connector Error - Crystal Reports 2008 and OLE DB

Hi,
I want to create a report based on OLE DB provider.
Once I Select it from the Database Expert list I get this Error: "Unknown Database Connector Error", and the list is empty.
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 on Win XP SP2.
SQL Server 2005 is installed on the local machine.
If I create a UDL File and double click, I can see all OLE DB Providers on the machine.
What am I missing ?

Thank you all for trying to help.
- The installed MDAC version is 2.8 (It comes with XP SP2). I have tried installing it again and it says that it is already installed.
- I am not using a bussiness view. Just the simplest blank report in CR2008. I am not able to start it using OLE DB, once I want to choose a provider - I get the error, before even entering connection details such as username and password.
- I am able to build an ODBC report, but when trying to view it using Crystal Reports Windows Form Viewer (from within a .Net application) I get an error: "Failed to Open The Connection". It happens also with reports built on other machines using OLE DB.
Same report works fine with the same application on different machines and I cannot figure out what is the difference.
I think Something on my machine is not right.
Any suggestions ?

Database Connector Error -Crystal Reports

Hi all,
I am using Crystal reports 2008 to design reports for IDM 7.1.The DB is SQL Server 2005.
I am able to design and fetch correct data from the databases and things work fine in the Crystal report tool. But when I try to call the task from IDM-UI , I am getting a strange error and the job fails.
The error message goes like tis:
Failed generating report BasicRoleComposition85837.pdf
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: Unexpected database connector error---- Error code:-2147467259 Error code name:failed
putNextEntry failed storing85731
I checked the constants and the its all set correctly. I checked the SQL too,it also seems to be ok.
I really cant make out what went wrong.It would be great if someone can help me out with this.

Connection Error - Crystal Report 9 to SAP Database

While connecting SAP Database (SQL Server 2005) with Crystal Rport 9 from Client machine , showing the following message.
logon failed
login failed for the user <devprd>
the user is not associated with a trusted sql server connection
sql state 42000
native error 18452

are you connecting through odbc? if so check to see if you are using windows authentifiction or sql.
make sure the user you are trying to pass has read access to the database

Parameter Panel Calendar Control Error [Crystal Reports 2008]

I have a report which uses both starting date and ending date parameters. While the report is running, you cannot access the month of February with the calendar prompt. The resulting date is always in March. It looks like a bug...anyone else with this issue.

Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly.
Also need to know the Operating System and if all patches have been installed. There are also issue with JAva runtime. Be sure to install the latest Java SDK.

The same sort of errors is coming but I am doing everything right as per that article.
 
 
To Inform you further before updating crystal reports 2008 runtime to version = 12.2.3.467.
 
 
Everything was working fine, only problem was that Date Time column was not displaying at runtime on the deployment
 
 
machine.

Dear Mr. Williams
I dont think this is the issue related to MS Installer. Still based on your suggestion I downloaded the latest MS Installer from Microsoft Website and Installed on my setup machine and made the new setup with zero errors and warning.
The deployment machine is having full rights and so there is no security issues related to installation even though to clear the confusion I installed the setup on three other xp machines the result was same even after installing the latest MS installer on those machines as well.
I wanrt to remind it again since I was facing the DATE TIME column Issue problem in reports on deployment machines so I updated the Crystal Reports TO CRFP 2.3 EXE AND MSM as mentioned in your forums regarding this known bug that if datetime column is getting from dataset then that column was not getting displayed.
From that time onwards I am unable to install the setup on the deployment machines and I am getting errors unable to register errors crystal reports dlls.
Apart from that I downloaded Crystal Reports 2008 Fix Pack 2.3 - Redist Install (cr2008_fp23_redist.zip) from the download page but i can't open it I am gettinig the error message doesnt appear to be a valid archive.
Please help me and provide me some solution regardeing the issue I am stuck with.

Cannot export crystal report in excel format from crystal report viewer

This problem occurs on only one workstation.
Open Advanced Reports > Enter workorder # > Click on 'workorder work(uninvoiced)' > Work order opens.
Click on icon "Export report"
Save as type: change to .xls
Error: Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer. Error in file
SAP.......rpt:
Error detected by export DLL:
Export failed.

Try adding c:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to your windows enviroment variable PATH then restart.

Crystal Reports for VS 2010 Deployment

Hi All, I am having trouble with CR deployment. I get the error Crystal report data base logon failed. when I click the verify database in the field explorer I get the error :the proccess can not access the file <my db file> because it is being used by another proccess.
some of my reports does succeed with verify DB and I get "DB is up do date ".
question is what causes that behaviour?

It sounds like the file is being locked by another process. You may want to run a utility like [Process Explorer|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653] to see if you can see which process that is.

Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008 - dbf

I use both Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 on same PC. I can not work with dbf files (format foxpro2x, dbase IV) in VS 2005 and VS 2008.
Q1. Work Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008 with database files - dbf (version foxpro2x, dbaseIV)? I get error -

or with dbf files work only Full version of Crystal Reports?
Q2. How re-install Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008. In setup Add/Remove features not exist Crystal Reports check box. I only Repair/reinstall all Visual Studio but after reinstall same error

Hi Ludek,
1-For dbase file to work you need have permission on database files for IIS as well as user accessing the database.
2-For re-install you need to insert the CD of visual studio setup then do custom install and then try to choose crystal reports for re-installing
3-The old viewer might cause the problem. In this case can you try connecting to a blank dbase file.

Changing the Crystal Report dependency from 10.2 to 11.5 using config file

We have an windows application in .net 2.0, which refers to Crystal Report 10.2 version. Now the dependency was being upgraded to 11.5. But we do not have the exact source code for the executable to change the dependency from 10.2 to 11.5.
I have installed the CR 11.5 to the testing machine and tried to open the appilcation. it failed saying CR 10.2 dlls were missing
Then I changed the .net config files to change the dependency assembly as follows

Now the application launched with out any issues. I thought the problem was sorted out.
But when I tried to generate the report, there comes the problem

I do not want to install the 10.2 redistributable in teh machine also do not want to re-compile the sources changing the dependency
Is there any way to achieve this ?

No way that I know of. I believe once you change the dependency, you will have to recompile the project. Installing CR 10.2, may get this to work, but the app will most likely use the 10.2 references. Let's see if anyone else has any ideas.
