Error: DAC install in Window 32 bit OS

Hi,
I am trying to Install DAC in window 7 32 bit OS.
DAC installer is unable to launch the Oracle universal Installer.
The error is:
Preparing to launch oracle Universal Installer from c:/users/...local/temp/
Cannot create c:/users/..../local/temp/OraInstall.../oui/bin/platform/win64/Autorun.inf
I tried to invoke the setup from the below location
Disk1\install\win32
but end up in same error.
I have also updated my Path variable with "Disk1\install\win32" folder location. still i am unable to install it
Can anyone let me know what could be the root cause of this issue?

Right click on Install.exe and select Run it as Administrator.
The error is related to permissions on your windows.
If helps pls mark as correct else let me know with error message.

Windows Installer 4.5 Error while installing in windows 2008 32 bit

In windows 2008 server (standard edition), i am trying to install the exchange server 2007 sp2 before that i need to install the windows installer 4.5 to install my exchange server 2007sp2, while installing the windows installer 4.5 system showing the error
message as " Not enough storage is available to process this commend".
If any one pls give some suggestions as soon as is appreciative.

Error when installing AddOn in 64-bit server

hi, when i install on a 64-bit server i get this message: 'unable to cast com object of type 'system.__comobject' to interface type 'SAPbobscom.Company'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM companent for the interface with IID '{3BA8DAED-5B33-4CE4-A4B8-B4308D86E524}' failed due to the following error: No such inteface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NONINTERFACE))
It works fine on other servers. Any suggestions anyone?

Found on internet that sometimes 64-bit servers miss to register COM modules so the solution was to re-register the DLL's.
i ran following commands:
for %1 in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32 /s %1
for %1 in (%windir%\system32\*.ocx) do regsvr32 /s %1
Now it works fine!

BO XI 3.1 SP2 error while installing in Windows 2008 ENT Server 32 Bit

We have windows 2008 enterprise edition 32 Bit SP2 , While installing BO 3.1 SP2 we are getting the following error.
"Some files could not be created.
Please close all applications, reboot Windows and restart this installation."
1.we do have enough space as well as we are installing it through administrator account.
2.I increase the virtual memory size from 2 GB to 4 GB, still same error.
3.we downloaded the software in two diffrent machines. We tried extracting the "exe" file in two machine but still getting the same error.
4.We dont have any firewall connected and windows firewall is off.
Is there BO 3.1 Sp2 is available for windows 2008 ent server 32-Bit?
Because In the download site there is Windows Server on IA32 32-bit.
is it the correct version?

We have opened a ticket for this. After subsequent discussion with the forum support person we have installed BO Enterprise 3.1 SP2 fixed pack 2.5 on the server (Windows Server 2008 SP2). On the client side, we have also installed BO Enterprise 3.1 SP2 fixed pack 2.5 and Live Office SP2 fixed pack 2.5.
Once we tried to use the Web Intelligence document based on OLAP Universe in excel through Live Office it gives the following error.
"Failed to get the document information. (LO 26315) A database error occured. The database error text is: Failed to set properties (The component Microsoft® OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services returned server error (Database 'Sales' does not exist.)). (WIS 10901)(6315)".

Error while installing DI API (32 bit) for SBO 9.0 PL 05

Dear Experts ,
I'm trying to install version 9.0 (32 bit) on my machine (windows 7 64 bit) . Everything is installed successfully except DIAPI . I'm not able to install the DI API. I try to uninstall / install many times but without luck . Cleared the SAP folder, temp folder but still when it comes to DI API installation it just failed.
Any help would be much appreciated .

Thanks for your prompt reply. The installation setup is on my local machine and i have the local admin rights on machine machine. And I don't have any problem in installing other components including server tools, server and client etc.
Friday I changed my computer name keeping SBO 9.0 instructions in mind (not to include any special character in computer name) and then I uninstall sap 8.82 from control panel , everything related to SAP was removed. Then I try to install SAP 9.0 PL 05 .

Client -- > installed
SDK -- > Installed
DI aPI (32 but ) -- > Error -- > Another version is already installed .
I looked in control panel again -- > nothing there.
Then i again uninstall everything (for V9.0) -- > delete sap folder from program files (x86) restart my system --> again same error regarding DI API.
This error was showing me the registry value so I search the registry and found there that DIAPI related version 8 is still there .
So I took registry backup and try to rename registry key and value but with no luck . Still i was not able to install DI API
So today morning I delete the all the references from registry related to that value (the one i was getting showing Another version is already installed). and I start getting this error i.e. the network related error which is 1316.
I restore the registry backup to Friday's backup and then again try to install but I'm getting 1316 error constantly.
Try to clean the registry and fix the registry errors with CC cleaner but nothing is happened still stuck with 1316 error.

and Was installing witcher 2 from dvd rom and the installer crashed at the very end.

So your mouse is either "PS/2 Generic Mouse" or "OM". Whichever it is we'll only be paying attention to the id=#.
Before I start, I'll assume that you've turned off mouse acceleration, which is ideal for games. You also might have to tweak these settings to find a happy medium.
I'm also assuming that device 16 is your mouse (PS/2 Generic Mouse).
My idea is to temporarily lower the mouse sensitivity when you launch the game, and then return it to default when you close the game.
Firstly list current properties for your mouse, make note of the numbers in the parentheses. Most of the options are self explanatory.
$ xinput --list-props 16

This solution is a little hacky but it should work
You can probably find out more on your own from here on out, good luck with it.
(My personal solution to mouse issues was to just disable mouse acceleration, it's fine for me.)
I actually thought about creating a new thread but momentarily felt I had to write here itself because everything regarding troubleshooting witcher 2 will be here.
your solution did decrease the mouse sensitivity but, the mouse continues to be jumpy in the game while moving it from left to right or top to bottom.
Witcher 2 has a mouse emulator built in and some ppl(even windows users) have experienced this problem but for most of them, editing this file called 'user.ini' and setting smoothness = 0 worked. But not for me. Strangely many ppl playing witcher 2 in wine didn't experience this problem at all.
I think this can be a bug in witcher 2 which can make only some models of mice jumpy.
I also have an 'enter gamepad' and the game doesn't support it but one joystick works very smoothly (unlike the mouse) so presently I'm searching online for ways to get the gamepad working with the game

OBIEE 11g 64-bit install on Windows 64-bit

I wanted to solicit any experiences that the user forum is having with installing 11g on a 64-bit Windows platform. I understand that the Admintool/Job Manager will not run with the 64-bit installation package but we can install the newly released Client install to circumvent this. I am seeing many forums out there in which the 64-bit OBIEE install is done as Simple or Enterprise. My understanding is that this is useless as the bundled WebLogic utilizes at 32-bit JVM. There is a Doc ID out on Metalink (ID 1220564.1) that states one can only do a Software Install. So we have proceeded with the following steps of downloading first the Java 64-bit JVM, then a WebLogic instance utilizing the 64-bit JVM (java -D64 -jar xxx.jar) and finally the OBIEE Software Only install.
The issue we are running into is that the Install fails when attempting to start the OPMN. So during the install the "Executing:opmnctl start coreapplication_obips1
" fails and references the OPMN not starting. We are unable to start the OPMN service as well. We have a static IP, so this not the known issue with the loopback adapter. The other issue I saw was having to install the VC++ 2005 SP1 libraries per another Metalink Doc ID (1226254.1). This was all done, however, the install continues to fail.
It seems the lack of knowledge from support as well as the vague/lack of documentation is frustrating. I just wanted to ping the OTN community around this scenario.

Thanks Paul, really appreciate the update. Spent this morning rebuilding our environment with 64-bit (Win 2008) and starting from scratch. The install has now succeeded. I tell you one thing you pointed out is something we noticed when we proceeded with the second install. That was the WebLogic version. I had initially used .4 and on the second install we used .3. I am guessing that this may have been the issue.
I will verify with our Oracle resources and I hope this post will assist other when doing the 64-bit install as I think it is very vague in the documentation.
I will update the post with Oracles response as well.
Just as an FYI... the reason this issue came up in the first place was we did an Enteprise Install on 64-bit and found that the Gauge Charts weren't working in the SampleAppLite Subject Area. So I will add that to the Tags for this post.
Hope this post helps others and they don't go through the headaches of a wrong install type.

ITunes Rolldback During Install On Windows 64 Bit

Just upgraded my machine to 64 Bit Windows Ultimate and am trying to install the 64 bit version of iTunes, each time I try it gets to copying files before it rollsback and says iTunes could not be installed at this time. I have tried removing all traces of the files and directories and installing in other directories but I am having no luck installing the program

Yes, this Apple Mobile Device Support (AMDS) problem is what I've been talking with Apple Support on since 4/1/10. Basically, AMDS is not being installed and there is no way to install it individually.
From before I contacted Apple Support and since then, I would say that I've done about 6 complete uninstalls and re-installs including creating installation log files. From the log file, which is thousands of lines long, I have identified (and told Apple) that netaapl64.inf is either missing or in the wrong format in the iTunes 64-bit installation. It is one of the files needed for AMDS installation and when the iTunes Install fails to open it, the AMDS installation part of the iTunes 64-bit install is backed out.
Apple Support will be reviewing all the info that I've provided early this week. They've been kind of busy with the iPad
I'll post an update (hopefully, a solution) as soon as I have that.

Error while installing Oracle 11gR2 64 bit on windows764bit

Hi,
I want to install Oracle 11g database on my system. I have downloaded setup files for that.
But while doing installation after 60% completed i am getting an error messagebox saying.
File Not Found c:\Oracle11g\product\11.2.0\db_home1\bin\orandce11.dll.dbl
However my installation path is diffrent and i am running setup files from desktop.
I am not getting why installer is pointing to that location.
Please help me out to solve this error.

ThanksMost common reason fot this kind of errors, the 2 downloaded files are not unzipped into the SAME target directory, you should check this.

Error in installing win 7 64 bits

I'm triying to install windows 7 64 bits in my mac using bootcamp assistant.
after all files are extracted and all things are done my mac freezes on conpleting instalation.

Sorry but Lenovo's disks wont run on a Virtual machine....they check for a BIOS id tag before starting the installation,
Why dont you try the other way around?Install Mint in a VM Within windows

ITunes error after installing in windows 7 x64

Hello, after installing a clean version of itunes 9.2 (with quicktime included) and launch it, gives me an error (excuse me, i'm from spain and the error shows in spanish):

and after close several windows with this error, gives me the last message:
Quicktime no disponible
No se ha encontrado QuickTime.

Most commonly, that's caused by an old version of the QTCF.dll file lurking in an unorthox location on the PC.
Abre Disco local (C:) en Equipo o el disco duro en el que esté instalado el sistema operativo.
Abre la carpeta Windows.
Abre la carpeta Syswow64.
Can you see a QTCF.dll file in there? If so drag it out onto your Desktop.
Restart the PC. Does iTunes launch without the error message now?

Error in installing of Windows 7 with the use of DVD-RW SATA and HD SATA on the motherboard M2N-VM HDMI

The instalation stops in the middle, when the DVD-RW stops the read of DVD for Windows 7 instalation. One message shows that reading of CD instalation is failing.

Based on your description, I know your DVD-RW could read Windows XP installation disk, but fail to read your Windows 7 DVD. If it is possible, please test if the Windows
7 DVD can be read on other computers.
I also suspect it is caused by a broken DVD, if so, please contact the vendor where you purchased this copy of Windows7 or our customer service for help.
