Error deleting an application from Essbase

Hi, I have an unused application called "Test" in our production Essbase. I wanted to delete this application and I tried doing so. It gives me the following error. Cannot delete application - object BUILDGEN locked by user Calgon How do go further in deleting? Thank you for your help, PKAJA

What OS are you running? I noticed this on an AS/400 setup Essbase 6.0. It seemed that there was an exclusive lock created for an Essbase object. After many different tries, like renaming application, creating objects, I was forced to delete all items from the file system.Does anyone have some insight as to why this happens?

Error when downloading application from Server

Hi,
I have installed MI Client 7.0 SPS 11 Patch 0 on Symbol Device ;OS Windows Mobile5.0
i have successfully completed <b>first</b> synchronization .
After that i assigned Mobile Component to the device and tried synchronizing.
"Error when downloading application from http://<servername>:50000/meContainerSync/servlet/com.sap.ip.mi.http.MobileComponentServlet?Application=xyz&Type=APPLICATION&Runtime=JSP"
Pl. suggest
Note: In NWA under 'Device Maintenance' -> Mobile component
The state of the aplication is <b>"Deployment Activated"</b>

I resolved it on my own guys !!!
Actually while downloading server url consists of hostname bcoz the hostfile entry in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts was only hostname.
i entered FQDN name in the hostfile... It WORKED
Being Saturday and Sunday...i cud not get any help from forums...i was really worried and Guys we need to think on this :-?

The best way to delete an app is to use iTunes and uncheck it before you sync with your touch. Using the method with the wiggly x on your touch will delete the icon from your touch, but according to the manual, "When you delete an application, its data is no longer accessible via the iPod touch user interface, but it isn’t erased from your iPod touch." So it still takes up room on your hd. When you delete by by unchecking in iTunes it completely removes the app and all associated data.

Delete an app from the Home screen: Touch and hold the icon until it jiggles and a circled x appears. Tap the x to delete the app. Tap the home button to exit the deletion mode.
Note: you can't delete any of the apps that came with the iPad, only apps you added.

Error while extracting data from essbase

Hi All,
Now I'm tring to extract data from essbase by ODI, and at the sametime, I need to do some transformations, such as join with other relational tables or flat files to get more information about metadata. But unfortunately, once I add join into the interface, an error occurs. And it works fine if I extract directly (with no joins).
Is there any other way except using staging table? Our data vloume is large, using staging table will waste lots of storages.

Extract the essbase data to a staging area and then do the transformations in another interface.
The adaptor needs to extract the data first.

Does anyone know what configuration I am missing to be able to run a web application from JDeveloper with the embedded OC4J.

did you solved the problem? I got exactly the same problem. In my case, my application runs well with jdeveloper 10.1.2 but when migrated to jdeveloper 10.1.3.1, the emdedded OC4J won't wrok and generated the same error as yours.

How do I delete an application from my MacBook

I have transferred all the contents from my G4 iBook to a 2011 MacBook OSX 10.8.5 and few of the utilities are not working under the MacBook.
Whenever I try to drag the program files to the trash bin, it says that the files are protected which they are not, I have looked and tried again many times but all in vain. Is there a method to safely remove unwanted applications from the MacBook?

What i do is just drag the App into the the recycle bin and empty the trash.. that seems to work.

To delete an App, touch and hold on the icon until an "X" appears. Touch the "X" to delete the App. Press the Home button to restore the icons to normal.
To write papers you might consider the Pages App.

Which program are you asking about. Some apps do not delete via the trash, though as Axeman suggests, it's your first choice.
Incidentally, it is wise never to install an app or program that you haven't got uninstall details for.

Error while executing application from BI Launchpad

Hi All,
I have a Design Studio application with a tabset in it.
Upon execution of the application,everything works fine with the local mode.But when I run it from my BI Launchpad, upon clicking the second tab
there comes an error (Attached).
I do some random selections in my second tab data the app works fine and now when I go to the first tab the same error appears.
Please can anyone tell me as to what would be the problem.

I am very new to ESSBAE Studio. I build up a minischema, dimension element(drag and drop from minischema), hierarchy(using dimension element) , Cube Schema and Meta model.
Now when I'm going to deploy the model to Essbase Console It throws error :

2> I don't have any user defined member with member formula.
I have my Measure hierarchy which have user defined member other than measure all hierarchies are coming from views.

The exception above indicates that the business component definitions from project1 are not on the classpath of the second project. Specifically, the framework could not load the def for: Ufax.UfaxPartDb.
Please ensure that the client project is properly referencing the model project. You may get a sample of how to do this by using the IDE to create a JClient application in a separate project. The client project will be configured properly for you.
