Error: dependent goods movement was incorrect

Hi,
Can anyone help me please correct this error "dependent goods movement was incorrect" (message no. RU 523). I have encountered this error upon confirmation.

This error is noticed when production storage location between parent and child in direct production(special procurement
key - 52) is_ NOT_ similar i.e. mismatch of storage location
Example:
Production Order A {Collective parent structure production storage location: 0001}

Production Order B {Collective child production storage location: 0002}
In above scenario, prod. sloc is 0002 for child while 0001 for parent, which inturn results in COGI error with error message TYPE RU 523
Steps performed for correction:
1. Cancel the production order confirmation for component
2. In co02, edit the goods reciept sloc for component under goods reciept tab such that it matches with parent production order storage location
3. Redo the confirmations for the component production order and reprocess the COGI

I am having an error in my COGI whenever I confirm a collective order. Error says that "Dependent goods Movement was incorrect". What does that mean?

CO11N Errors:Depend. goods mvemnt. was incorrect & Deficit of SL Unres.-use

Dear Colleagues,
When trying to confirm a particular order on CO11N,users came across these error 2 messages:
A) Depend. goods mvemnt. was incorrect
B) Deficit of SL Unrestricted-use 2 PCS : (Matnr No) (Cost centre)
Message no. M7021
I think they have changed recently the routing of this material...
On CA02 the last step's Control Key isn't greyed out as the others are (it is called "TEST" ).I compared CO02 with CA02 and the steps of the routing are exactly the same between the two;the only difference is the last step of the routing in the production order isn't CNF REL but only REL. I tried to confirm it individually on CO02 but it wouldn't allow it.
Can you please point me to the right direction on where to strat looking at?Is it within the routing something hasn't been maintained? Or within Material Master?Is it the work centre of the last operaton not been maintained anywhere?

The problem ended up to be the wrong cost centre the production order.
Apparently it has been a recurring issue for this part (i.e. the wrong cost centre contained in the production order that has to be manually altered on CO02 for the confimation on CO11n to go through...
I have two questions:
Where do the production orders take the cost centre info from?
Secondly,another production order contained the wrong info (wrong control key...) .Again,where do production orders take the control key info from?

MB26 : ERORR : goods movement are incorrect

Hai SAP experts,
After the MRP run , the planned orders created gets converted to production orders .So as per BOM , the components require to produce the ordered material gets reserved against that production order & Is shown as orders in stock requirement list for component materials . When i go to MB56 t code , and given details and execute that one It showing different components and system assign automatically storage location and batch number.At the time of save its showing error
" goods movement are incorrect "

I am MM consultant .Before that i am not working on reservation for production order . I dont know what the use of MB26,
As per discussion with my collegues , they told that in MB26 ,system shows the goods movement overview .When you click save button i.e , Post button ,then goods are posted but here its showing error
GOODS MOVEMENTS ARE INCORRECT .
This error comes only at the time of 261 mvt type GI to Production order .
IN the case of 311 this error is not getting .Give me suggestions

Error in Goods Movement during order confirmation

Hi,
I am trying to confirm a production order through CO11n,but i am getting an error in Goods Movement .
The following message is displayed in the log - "* Posting only possible in /11 anperiods 2008d 2008/10 in company code A100*". Can any one guide me what should i do to confirm the order without any error in Goods Movement,

Hi,
It is advisable to correct the Goods Movement Errors in COGI in the same period (before closing the period by MM in MMPV). You cannot correct the same if the period is closed.
Only option is you need to open the closed period in consulatation with FI and MM team members
OR
Delete the Error movement records in COGI and post the Goods Issue for the production order in Tcode : MB1A with movt type 261 and go inside and mention the materials which you want to issue to the order.

Error in Good Movement

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have got a error in Goods Movement. For Production Order no.xxxxxxxxx, there is no error in the COGI report, but if we check it in one of the customized report called Valuated Goods movement failure there is a error for the said Order no. But it is not showing any reasons. I checked it in the database table also. There also the error exist, but it is also not giving any reason. Actually what the user did is they did cancel the confirmation for this Order no for certain quantity.
Can anyone tell me what should be the reason and how to solve it?

Thanks for ur reply. actually the user canceled a Confirmation for certain qty. That canceled confirmation is not re-confirmed. when i check in CO14 - Display Production Order Confirmation against the canceled operation/counter no. It says "Highlighted items need to be processed". How to come to the conclusion that what to do next. how to identify the error. In my customization in OPK4 we have maintained,
Operation sequence   Error when operation sequence is not adhered t
Underdelivery             Underdelivery tolerance is not checked
Overdelivery               Error when overdelivery tolerance is exceeded
QM results rec.         Message if no inspection results exist
So, could you tell me how to solve this?

Error documented goods movements

Hello PP experts
I have done the good issue of the components of a process order.
If I ckeck it in the order in Lits-> documented goods movement, sytem showe me an error 'There is no data for the selection'
What is wrong? why does not show me the movements of good issue?

Error in goods movement during confirmation

I get an error while doing the goods movement during confirmation stating that posting is not possible during that period.

If it is MM Posting period problem then check in MMRV and MMPV ..
In MMRV - u can allow posting to previous periods
In MMPV -U can close and open periods i think
If it is CO posting period problem then check in OB52 , Here to get posting period variant for your company code from OBY6 and input in OB52 and check for all accounts the periods , change the periods accordingly for the year..

For goods movement of a production order we have batch control for all the products but it is creating problem for a single product.What could be the probable reason.

1. You have not given what the exact issue - so kindly post the exact issue.
2. Since you are telling that only one mateiral is having problem then surely it would be becuase of Master Data.
Also check all the master data setting forthat material.

Error in Goods movement BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

I am using the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
I am appendign 10 records to my table and executing the BAPI.
It is executing successfully for the first 2 records.But for rest 8 records i am getting an error "Content of order 1000030903 : 6211300 transferred to interfa (IMSEG): 6211301"
where 1000030903 is my Order number and 6211301 is my Material Number.
Can somebody has got this kind of error.

I guess the data you are passing in first two lines meets thee bapi requirement without any conversions, whereas same is not the case with other lines od data.

Number range error in goods movement BAPI

we are using the BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to create a material reservation with movemnet type 201. although all the fields are maintained properly i get an error number 136 - number range different. i checked the number range and found it to be ok. can anyone please help me out

Error message (M3024) during parallel goods movement

For publication distribution, collected unreferenced deliveries and goods issues are done in SAP system for a customer group by a program which is triggered by a web service every day. Standart SAP functionalities are used in this program. At goods issue part of program, an error message is occuring "Valuation data for material & is locked by the user &" with error code :M3024. The user who processes the program is locking himself. Also we have checked the other goods movement types in standart transactions (MB1B-MB11..)and same problem was occured. We have checked the notes that we applied before for to avoid material lock in paralel goods movement. There is nothing changed both in customizing and deveploment after upgrade. So we couldnt find the way to fix this problem. FIRST ANSWER FROM SAP***************************************** Can you kindly review the attached note 70865 with regards to this issue. WE APPLIED.-- We reviewed 70865 and this solution not applicable for our current system. According to note; We set material late lock exclusive time 15 seconds in OMJI. This solution solved material lock error at all plant level. After this solution, We get same batch error during goods movement(m3862), Then We applied note 157423, this note solved material batch lock error during goods movement, At last we have now m3024(Material valuation error lock) error during all goods movement. THEN********************************* As explained in the note 70865 , to ensure data integrity, it is necessary to block the material against updates by other users during good movements. This is achieved by blocking the material plant (lock object MARC) and the material valuation area (lock object MBEW) exclusively against othertransactions which update the material master. What you can do, as advised in the note, is to activate the late block via transaction OMJI. As a result of this change, several users will be able to carry out good movements to the same material and plant simultaneously. The problem is that you will experience a disadvantage of performance loss after this change. Please, notice that with this change in OMJI, several users will be ableto carry out GOODS MOVEMENTS to the same material and plant simultaneously. This change will not allow the simultaneous input of a goods movement and an invoice for the same material (in this case, the material will be locked as soon as the purchase order item is adopted in the invoice and the error message M3024 will occur). When the error message M3024 occurs, you could check with transaction SM12, there you could find some tables like MBEW are locked by user. The table is locked to prevent valuation, quantity etc. to be updated. System does not check if it is standard price or MAP, as soon as you work with one material it will be locked (its valuation data has to be locked, because otherwise there is no guarantee of the consistency of the stock values. Without this lock mechanism the possibility of serious data inconsistencies could arise). your customizing under: SPRO > IMG > Material Management > Set up Material block for goods movements Here you could choose setting 2(at positing) to have only a short locking period at posting. Please review information in attached notes. 521945 FAQ: Material block 322989 Late block: Number of blocking attempts AT LAST ** PROBLEM STILL GOING ON WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO SOLVE THIS ERROR.

Refer to SAP Note 1744780 - Error message M3024 during Invoice Verification process .
In the standard system it is not possible the simultaneous entry of a GOODS MOVEMENTS and an INVOICE for the same material and the same plant.
When you enter the invoice for the purchase order item, the valuation data for the material is updated, therefore this valuation data (table MBEW) needs to be blocked so that it is not changed at the same time by any other transaction (which might cause inconsistencies).
Resolution
This system behavior can not be avoided by any customizing setting or any user exit.
This is correct system behavior to protect the other transactions update the material master.
As advised in the note 70865 :
It is possible to activate the late block via transaction OMJI. As a result of this change, several users will be able to carry out good movements to the same material and plant simultaneously, however there is a risk to cause the data inconsistency and performance problems.

KANBAN - STO (error : Goods movement not possible with mvmt type 351)

Hi,
I have configured KANBAN STO in the system which is working fine.
I am able to empty the bin and create STO (purchase orders)
But when I select a bin and try to make it full, system gives error message:
"Goods movement not possible with mvmt type 351"
In KANBAN STO replenishment strategy, I have used movement type 101,
I m little confused from where this 351 movement type is coming from.
Please help resolvethis issue.

Procedure
Choose another movement type.
You can choose the movement type as follows:

Choose the movement type via the menu option Movement type.
Choose the required movement type from the possible entries.
If you do not find a suitable movement type, exit this function and choose a different goods movement from the Inventory Management menu.

Confirmation of Production Order without all Goods Movements

Hello experts!
I've tried to do a confirmation of one material that had only one level BOM with one material, but, when I try to do the Goods Movement in CO15, only the component appears. To another materials the goods movements was done for the two materials.
I've changed routing, BOM, material record... but I didn't have success.
Any ideas?

You might have kept Backflashing Indicator -1 in MRP2 view and while doing CO15-In goods movement tab -You will find BOM compoenets with movement type -261 .But your requirement is to carry out the Auto GR-101 while confirmation posting .
Please do the following :
1.Goto -OPJK-Define Production Scheduling Profile -Here for that scheuling profile which have been assinged in Work Scheduling view -Mark the Auto GR active .
2.In the routing or in the Production Order -Operation Overview screen -Goto Operation Details -Slect the last operation -Assing the Operation Control Key which has Auto GR active like SAP Stanrda PP03 .Please check in OPJ8-Slect the Operation Control key -Hit the details information -Check the Auto GR Marked .Based on this while you will do CO15 , GR-101 (MIGO-101) will happen .
