Error determining planning periods for calendar

Hello SAP Guru's
We are receiving the above error when trying to go into MD04 for a particular material. we have checked the forecast agains the planning calendar and the dates in the forecast and demand planning are approximately 2 years less than the end date in the planning calendar.
Checking SAP it has said to extend the planing calendar past the planning horizon. It is already extended past the planning horizon.
The only issue with this product is that the material will soon be superseded by another material, this has a different calendar assigned to it. Could this be the problem?

The error occurs when first going into MD04. The exact error message is as follows:
Error determining planning periods for calendar M14
Message no. 61123
Diagnosis
The system could not determine sufficient planning periods by the planning calendar to group requirements by planning calendar periods for all the requirements planned in the future.
System Response
When a material is planned by using the periodical lot size by planning calendar, sufficient periods must be calculated to group requirements by the planning calendar for all requirements.
Procedure
Rework the planning calendar with which the material was planned, which means calculate new planning calendar periods.
To do this, go to Customizing for MRP, under the activity Change PPC periods.

When i am running a program with date range say "01/05/2011" to "30/06/2011",the program is executing successfully without any error. When i am executing the same program with date range as a) "01/05/2009" to "30/06/2011" and b)"01/05/2008" to "30/06/2011" the program is failing with error as "Error determining planning periods for calendar". Error message 61123:"Error determining planning periods for calendar &".The PPC planning calendar specified in the material master MRP 2 view for the material is incorrectly.
The planning calendar periods are insufficiently maintained for the planning calendar used.
Check the period of planning calendar in MD26 and generate the correct period.You can avoid the problem in several ways:
Maintain the planning calendar far enough in the future (at least until beyond the end of the planning horizon).
Also check any demand is lies beyond the validity period of planning calendar.
Reduction of the planning horizon of MRP also can control such issue, as MRP planning horizon lies in an area in which the planning calendar is no longer maintained

Error determining posting period(info structureS008,variant ,RC 3)" addin

Hello,
I am having one issue with my current project.The issue is
Error determining posting period (info structure S008, variant XX, RC 3)" error when trying to add material 10000 on line item 11 onto the existing order.
The actual issue is our user by mistake entered date in Sales Order with Header material in Billing plan tab-->Billing date entered as 31.12.1950 for milestone billing.Now when i am in change mode it is displaying as current date ,but where as in display mode ,it is diaplaying as 31.12.1950.Table also showing the same as display value only.The correspond table is FPLT-AFDAT
Now user wants to add one more lineitem to this header material.It is preventing and throwing error like above.
We are in ECC5.0.
Kindly help me out how we can change the date field to current date ?

Hi Hemant,
Thanks for update.My issue is with Infostructure S008.Related sales order billing plan date,which prevents to delete or further processing .The table FPLY-AFDAT-is having value of 31.12.1950.This needs to corrected to current date This is by mistakenly entered by user.
The note refer different infostructure.
We are ECC5.0.

E613 SYST: You cannot determine the period for rule 03

Dear All,
We are configuring asset module and using MSTL dep key for Tax books. When we tried to create an asset with MSTL dep key, we encountered error - 'E613 SYST: You cannot determine the period for rule 03'. when verified config OAVH Define Calender Assignments transaction, Period control '03' is missing for fiscal year variant K4. Period control is exisiting in Maintain Period Control and but not in Define Calender Assignment. What I understand these period controls are being delivered by SAP. Not sure why period control '03' is missing. all other period control keys are available.
question is how to add period control 03 so that we can use MSTL dep key. we are currently using 4.7c. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

K4 01 Pro rata at period start date blank 0 0 blank not selected
If I follow SAP help to define period control '03', then I just need to copy period control '01' which is listed above and select 'Mid Month' check box.
Wondering anyone did this in the past. MSTL depreciation key is being used in MACRS tax for US. I am sure people who have implemented assets module for US with tax dep, they might have encountered this issue.

Error determining posting period(infostructure S008,Variant Z2,RC3) while creating Sales orders from Inbound IDOCS

Hello,
I am getting this Error message"error determining posting period(infostructure S008,Variant Z2,RC3)" while creating Sales order from Inbound Idocs in the IDOC,which is affecting sales order creation.
While viewing this Info structure S008, I could see no records have been maintained. Wanted to know the reasons behind this Hard error?
Is it something related to Date Field used in the Update Rules for this Infostructure which is causing this posting period error?

Thank you Jelena,I checked the Ship. Delivery dates in the IDOC which are for Current Fiscal Year- 20140703 and 20140711,Could there be any other reason for this error?
Could it be an issue with e Update rule in this Infostructire S008
Secondly when we try change the update rule thru MC25 for this Infostructure S008,It gives a message"
"Maintenance of SAP standard updates not allowed"

Hi Friend,
Check the posting periods for the company code in OB62 and OMSY.
Check whether they are in currenct date or not.
if not maintain them in MMPV for Company code.and OB62 for the fiscal year variant.

Replication Error: Determination of values for application was interrupted

Hello,
We are setting up a CRM 5.0 system, with an ECC 5 backend. We try to replicate the condition customizing (object DNL_CUST_CND). When I look in the object monitor the object gets status green after running. But in SLG1, the log shows over 200 warnings and 3 critical errors with message:
Determination of values for application was interrupted
Message no. CND_MAP837
There is not more information available and I can't find anything relating to this message here or in OSS. Does anyone have a clue what the cause of this error could be?

Hello Jeroen ,
You may find the warning message bcos all the R/3 fields may not be available in
CRM system. thus those condtion tables may not be mapped and inactive status.Check whether the condtion tables used in ur scenario is available in active status in CRM.
Regarding the data exchange of condtion the follwing oss notes will be helpful:
1. 314542.
2. 441485 this note containst the message relevant to you (CND_MAP837) .
Please check the above notes and try to analyse ur issue.

In Blackberry Link, I wonder how to set the period I can synchronise my calendar event between my iCal and my Blackberry Q5. Indeed, currently I do not have all my past events.

Hi Geek,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use a workflow to achieve your goal.
I recommend to use Start Approval Process action to meet your need.
Here are the detailed steps:
Set the “Require content approval for submitted items” to Yes in the calendar list and select “Only users who can approve items (and the author of the item)” under “Who should see draft items in this list”.
Create a workflow associated with the calendar list and set the workflow to start when an item is created.
Select Start Approval Process from Action, then click these users to set the approver(reviewer). Add a Set Workflow Variable action before the Start Approval Process step and change the settings to be: Set Variable: EnableContentApproval to Yes.
Click Approval in the step Start Approval Process, click Change the behavior of a single task under Customization.
Scroll down to the step When a Task Completes, add Send an Email action below the step If Current Task:Outcome equals Approved and step Else if Current Task:Outcome equals Rejected.
Please refer to the picture below:
After that, the approver(reviewer) will get the email and he/she can click Open Task button in the email to review and complete the task. When the approver approve/reject the task, the user will get an email and the rejected events cannot be viewed by the
users who have no permission to see the draft items.

Limit PO : Enter a period for which you require this item

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a Limit PO programatically using "BAPI_POEC_CREATE",
i have filled all the necessary tables Item, partner,Org data , account assignment.
However I did not find any field in BAPI_PO_ITEM_D structure where i can specify the period/duration for this limit PO.
There is only one field DELIV_DATE to mention the delivery date.
When i fill this i am getting an error "Enter a period for which you require this item".
Any solution to this error?

We are using the extended classic scenario and the SAP standard process to create limit items. For the PO that is created in ECC the to/from dates are in EKKO KDATB and KDATE respecitvely.
On the SRM side those fields are in the table BBP_PDIGP vper_start and vper_end
The interesting thing now that I look at my test case. The PO in SRM does not have a validity start and end date at the header level it is all at the line item level. However, it looks like when it created the PO in the backend it used the to/from date from the first line item.

Calendar assignment in OAVH for '03' period control for calendar year dependent fiscal year.

We have a year dependent Fiscal Year in our client's system. It is a 5-4-4 Fiscal Year variant starting from March till Feb.
While trying to create a new asset we faced an error "You cannot save this asset(Correct depreciation error)." I checked and found that the error is due to a missing calendar assignment in OAVH for the period control key '03' (Pro rata at mid-period) for our fiscal year variant. Till the last fiscal year it had been maintained, but for current fiscal year the assignment is not maintained.
Can someone help me to understand how the calendar assignment is done in OAVH for a 03 period control key for a year dependent fiscal year like ours?
I tried using the transaction OA84 (Generate Period Control), but it provides the calendar assignment for all other period control methods except for '03'. Is there some specific reason as to why OA84 does not generate for '03' period control?
I checked the last fiscal year's assignments in OAVH for our fiscal year variant for '03' period control, but could not understand how it was configured, because it did not relate to the fiscal year variant assignment that we have done in OB29. Also, I even checked whether we need to enter the mid date of the periods, but that also was not done for the last fiscal year. I am unable to understand how the dates have been assgined.

As it is a year dependent fiscal year variant, we should create the year for the variant via OB29, then generate the period via OA84.

I want to add that I deleted all the old back-ups and created a new back-up without any issues except sync problem.

Management of Trial Period for Billing Plan !!

Hello SAP folks,
I have a real time business requirement where we essentially have Rental Contract which are being created from Sales Order and there is a billing plan defined for this Rental Contract. With new introduction of some Marketting strategy of Marketting group of my Client they have come with introduction of trial period for 30,60 and 90 days for the Contract !!
Now When we talk about the Trial period for 30 days, there are two important triggering point which are mapped from Sales Order to Contract i.e. No of Payment and Term of Contract. For 30days of Trial period, the number of payment is 11 if the term of contract is 12 month, 60 days the number of payment is 10 and term of contract is same as 12 month.
Now my question is how can i map this sort requirement in SAP with respect to Billing Plan i.e How to set the system such the billing should be happening based on No of payment ???
Any pointers on this requirement shall be really appreciated !!!
