Error digital signature
I signed a document and chose lock after signing. I then saw I had more to fill out in the document and couldn't get back in so filled out another copy of the same document and now cannot sign. I get the error message "creation of this signature could not be completed. Could not create appearance stream." after I type in the password to sign and then try to save the file.
Hi maggier,
Please refer the KB: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-creation-signature-could-completed.html

I am getting error :digital signature for this package is incorrect--
I have completed a clean install and have installed OS 9.2 as well as OS 10.3
and OS 10.4.2 from install DVDs apparently successfully. Now when I attempt to install the software updates for my computer, I get error that the digital signature of this package is incorrect and may have been corrupted since signed by apple. I have previously had all software up to date using software update/s etc. So how do I fix this digital signature Problem??
HaroldHi, Harold and baltwo —
(1) Harold, I agree with baltwo's advice to try using "stand-alone" downloads as a short-term "work-around." But I realize this may be unsatisfying — if the error becomes chronic.
(2) baltwo's advice to search Apple's KnowledgeBase is normally a very useful resource — but in this instance, only provides links to a few articles about the topic as it relates to OS 9, Mail.app, and OS X Server. If you'd like to read background info about the current usage of digital signatures, you'll find info that's a bit more relevant from:
• Help »» Mac Help »» "What is a digital identity" and "certificate"
• an ADC search (using, e.g., [ exact phrase: "digital signature" and all the words:
"OS X" ] as terms)
• a Google•Mac search.
However, in terms of resolving your situation, I'm inclined to think that most of the search results will be academic. If you search through these discussions to see others' Software Update problems and solutions, you'll find this error message is relatively common — and seems to represent a number of conditions (based on the differing solutions).
(3) I haven't noticed a cogent solution that spans these problems. But the troubleshooting process outlined in KnowledgeBase Articles 106695: Troubleshooting Automatic Software Update in Mac OS X and 106692: Troubleshooting installation and software updates may be helpful. As the latter suggests, you may want to try logging-in to a temporary "test" administrator account as a means to determine whether your account's keychain is implicated specifically. (...or another user-specific issue.)
Please post back to discuss your progress.
Good luck!

Mapping Activation Error : Digital Signature
Hi Everybody,
I am Implementing Digital Signature using Java Apache security libraries.
When move in the edit mode for mapping and try to execute the same it throws up an error.
While the same mapping is running fine in the present version.
Is it something to do with the Version of the mapping that it is not allowing me to create a newer one?
Also I tried copying the mapping and activating the new one is also giving error.
Did anybody came across this sort of strange error while activating the mapping object?
Kindly Help me out on the same.
Helpful answers will be rewarded points.

Hemant V. Mahale -
I am having trouble sending out a document for digital signatures for multiple people. I enter the signature fields and click on Distribute. It then allows me to choose the receiving parties. I click on <SEND> and it processes for a moment and then I receive the following two errors: "Failed to send" followed by "Form distribution is aborted". It was working for me earlier and isn't now. I am fairly new to Acrobat and especially Digital Signatures. What are some possible reasons I am getting this error?
I finally got the document to send out by unclicking the "Collect name & email from recipients to provide optimal tracking" button, however, the responses come in as anonymous, so it's not real helpful with tracking my responses. Plus, I don't know if I'll encounter problems with follow up. The normal tracking system allows me to resend a message to those who have not responded. Now I guess I would just resend the request to those I have determined have not signed. Still working through the bugs but I'll update what I know and figure out here. Perhaps I will come to a solid solution and give a better summary.
As of now, I am sending and receiving responses... but the recipients have to change the received file to save as it is coming to them as read-only. Seems like this should be a whole lot less complicated. -
Digital signature verification failed - Error RTCCTOOL
Hi guys !!!
I am running the report from the SDCCNN - RTCCTOOL, but I get the following error message:
1. Digital signature verification failed
Description - The verification of the recommendation content using digital signatures has failed. Therefore recommendations were suppressed.
Implementation - Consult SAP note 69455 if there is a known issue with content verification. If you do not find a solution open a customer message on SV-SMG-SDD.
When I Goto - Digital signatures Activate button digital content verification is disabled.
Then go to the transaction on the client STRUST 000 and I found the certificate: SSF SAP AGS Online Content View The certificate shows:
Owner: CN=SID SSF SAP AGS Online Content Verification, OU=I0020596183, OU=SAP Web AS, O=SAP Trust Community, C=DE
Certificate List: CN=Online Recommendations, CN=OR-C, CN=V01M, OU=AGS, O=SAP AG, C=DE
CN=Online Recommendations Upd, CN=OR-U, CN=V01M, OU=AGS, O=SAP AG, C=DE
Both certificates will expire on 01.01.2038.
According to the help and OSS note 69455 tell me again that I must create this certificate every year, but I see this current certificate, what is the error?
What is the process because I'm not clear and can not find another OSS note or the SDN forum to tell me what is wrong is happening.
Thanks guys for the help I can provide.
DesiréHi all.
I have the same problem and explore all possible solutions found in this discussion and others without satisfactory result.
Everything points that may be an inconsistency error external certificate which is in the DB. Anyone know how to fix this.

AS2 error: IP-51083: General failure creating S/MIME digital signature
Hello All,
I am getting a failure when sending AS2 with encryption and digital signature. The certificates have been set up as follows:
Signing and Encryption for Host : Store the certificate in both wallet and repository
Signing and Encryption for TP : Store the certificate in repository.
Looks like it it finding the key but looking for "alternateWrl: /apps6/orab2b/as10gt/product/1012/ip/config/wallet/wallet1". Not sure where this wallet1 comes from?
Thanks.

I moved the setup to production and I started to get the failures. I verified and re-verified the setup. It is same as in test. I deleted and re-did the setup. However, still failing. As can be seen from the message below the matching private key is found but the encryption/signature does not happen. Again this is outbound message from host to TP. Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

AIP-51083: General failure creating S/MIME digital signature: Error
I know you guys did answer to this kind of question in several threads. But my case is bit different. Please try to help me to resolve this issue.
OS: AIX 5.3
B2B: 10.1.2.2 (No Additions)
I did encrypt the message using certificates (Host & Trading Partner) and send to Trading Partner and got the confirmation. So assuming there is no issue with wallet and certificates.
But I am not able to sing the same message using same certificates.
(I don’t have any issue with Host certificate, I can use it for host sing but I have issue with Trading Partner certificate)
Here the error message. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks in Advance,
Rama KHi Anuj,
Thanks for your good reply.
I was doing same thing which you mentioned (Thats the reason encryption is working with same certificates, so there is no issue with wallet and certificates).
in my log (debug mode) I did find some thing is interesting
From the log,
<MSG_TEXT>oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.packaging.SmimeSecureMessaging:SmimeSecureMessaging: sign alternateWrl: /oraaiad/B2BHome/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.wlt/default/wallet1</MSG_TEXT>
Log is looking for alternateWrl "/*default/wallet1*"
But my wallet location which I mentioned in tip.props /oraaiad/B2BHome/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.wlt/*default/wallet.txt*
I know there is no location called "*wallet1*" thats the reason why it's throwing null pointer. But my questions is, why it's looking for alternateWrl? Here some of debug log.

InfoPath 2010 digital signature error in SharePoint 2010 - Revocation Status cannot be verified
Here is the issue: I have two servers, one a Test and one a Production. The Test server allows me to digitally sign the document and shows it correctly. In the Production environment, I used the same form and browser and it gives me the error: 'Revocation
Status cannot be verified' when digitally signing.
The InfoPath form is web-enabled and works perfectly on the Test side.
The browser is the same, updates are one week apart...is there anything I am missing????Hello,
Do you have the same certificate in prod server Trusted Root Certificate Authorities? If not then please add it.

Hi All,
We are implementing digital signature for originals in DIR using secure, store and foward approach. The installation is pretty much ok,. However, we are getting SSF_API_NO_SECTK error. What could be the possible reason? We are using SAPSECULIB as the security provider,The error indicates that the security product is not installed correctly. Make sure that SSF_LIBRARY_PATH (or ssf/ssfapi_lib ) is set correctly.Set the trace level to 1 and check the contents of the trace file dev_ssf.

Hi,
I am trying to do a digital signature using signature method " System signature with Authorisation by User ID and Password" but facing an error after I enter my password during the digital signature.
Error is "SSF error: Unknown Error"
Message No: IS014
Please let me know what needs to be done to resolve this error.
Setting completed are QM Material Authorisation group cretaed for Result Recording and Usage Decision Digital Signature.
Thanks
VineethCheck and if necessary maintain the standard settings. To do this, execute the following activities in the IMG under SAP Web Application Server -> System Administration -> Digital Signature:
Define application-dependent parameters for SSF functions
Define security settings for the system
Also In IMG check settings under >> SAP Netweaver--> Application Server > System Administration -> Maintain the Public Key information for the system> Maintaining the system security information. -

Digital signature error while confirming maintenance order
hi all,
while i try to confirm maintenance order i m getting following error.
"Unable to find strategy information about strategy
Message no. SIG403
Diagnosis
Signature strategy has been allocated to the function you selected. However, signature strategy has not been defined in the system. The individual signatures may be missing.
The system does not carry out the function."
I checked in SPRO but couldn't find any configuration related to digital signature..
Please suggest how to overcome this issue..
Regards,
Amit kushwahaHi Pete,
Digital signature is activated for the function IW41. AS per the SAP help i should maintain configuration in
" Maintenance and Service Processing >® Maintenance and Service Orders> ® Functions and Settings for Order Types --> -->Define Digital Signature for Order Types.
I checked SPRO menu paths to locate above mentioned path. but it is not there
Please suggest !

Amit kushwaha
