Then check on which server that particular database (i.e
MailBoxDatabase) is mounted .So that is server which is responsible for OAB generation.
On that server please make sure the following things are prefect .
step 1 : Please check the OAB url.
step 2 : check the web services url is set correctly in that exchange server.
step 3: Try to access the OAB url on the client machine on which you are facing the error.

step 5: Microsoft exchange mailbox assistant service is responsible for generating the OAB. Please check
the service is in started state.
step 6 : Please verify the OAB related events on the event viewer to know is there any errors trig erred
during OAB generation.
step 7: If you didn't find the events , please update the OAB manually and also you can able to find out
the last update time for the OAB in exchange management shell by using the below mentioned command.
get-offlineaddressbook | fl *name*,*touch*
step 8 : Make sure respective offline address books are mapped on the databases .
step 9: Namespaces used for the exchange services needs to be added on the proxy exceptions.
step 10 : To find out which mailbox is downloading which OAB in exchange .We can compare the GUID received
on the auto discover result with the guid of the OAB in exchange.
step 11 : Please make sure the oab files on the mailbox servers is not locked up by any antivirus.
step 12 : Please make sure web distribution option is enabled on all the offline address book.

Download Address Book

My Address Book application is suddenly missing after upgrading to Tiger 10.4.3. Is it possible to download address book only or do I have to revert to the Tiger disk and do a custom install of ONLY address book? Alternatively, do I have to wait for the next Tiger upgrade 10.4.4? House of Pain.

I doubt if you could install Address Book singly as a custom install directly from disk. You will need a program like Pacifist to do that which allows you to select individual packets to install. It's shareware you can try without charge so look it up - but be careful only to install AddressBook - you can do anything to your system with Pacifist, including messing things up.
One more question - do you still have all your AddressBook data? In Panther, this was in Username>Library>Application support>AddressBook

Is there a way to download Address Book Contacts in a .cvs file?

I'm trying to import my contacts into a fundraising site to raise money for charity, I have over 300 contacts so doing it manually is out of the questions. Is there an easy way to download Address Book Contacts in a .cvs file? That's the only kind accepted.

No.
Export to vCard and Google for one of the many vCard to .csv converters.
When you search for it please use .csv instead of cvs, cvs is a drug store.
Here's a free online converter that works well.

Is there a place to download address book for tiger?

I was dumb and pasted my address book from my laptop which runs 10.5, to my G5 which is still on 10.4...so I pasted the address book application to the G5, overwriting the original file and the new file doesn't want to open...so is there a way to get the old address book from somewhere??

You don't need to download Address Book, nor can you. It's on your 10.4 install/restore disc. You just need to insert the disc, navigate to the Optional Installs folder, open the Optional Installs.mpkg file and check the box to install Address Book and run the installer.
You will also need to run Software Update to update your system to 10.4.11 if you haven't already done that, or apply the 10.4.11 Combo Update again to update Address Book to the latest revision for Tiger.

Can't Download Address Book in Office 2013

When I try to "Download Offline Address Book List" I get "! Task [my email address] reported error (0x80070057): 'Sorry, something went wrong. You may want to try again'"
It's not just me, all of our users that have Outlook 2013 installed get the error. If I recreate the profile then the latest copy of the address book is downloaded but no updates in the future are. I've seen a few similar issues in the forums
but none with answers that work.

Did you install/upgrade Outlook 2013 based on the MSI file?
Please try to locate the following registry key, take backup it and delete the following value.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Cached Mode\

"Error while printing" error in Address Book

When I attempt to print a list of address book contacts in Address Book.app (both as a PDF or to a printer), I receive an error message simply stating "Error while printing." I've repaired my permissions and tried deleting the preferences for Address Book. How can I fix this and print out the list?

After discovering that my problem was more general (affecting the whole system, and not just Address Book), I looked in the Printer forum here in the discussions and referred to this one:

I attempted to do as one user suggested and replace the 'libConverter.dylib' file. It did not work, and I returned the original 'libConverter.dylib' file to its folder. Magically, printing works now. Seems like it just needed to reset itself.

Nokia 6350 Error in Address Book.

I just updated my phone using Nokia Ovi Suite and restored from a backup, now when I go to the Address Book, after 3 seconds it gives me "No settings found. Contact your service provider." error. I only use this phone for calling, no email/im services/texting, just calls so what is it trying to accomplish?

Hey Photobug and all - Similar issue here. I realized what the issue was. After upgrading my 6350 through OVI the address book syncing no longer works.
First off, the tech is either straight out lying to you, or is ignorant of deeper technical issues. On these phones, the ATT apps are included in the firmware. This is why there are different variants of the firmware for the same phone for each different provider. The specific variant for ATT will contain all of the apps with it. When your firmware gets installed, all of the old firmware and apps get wiped clean from the flash. The problem with the ATT variant of RM-455 version 13 firmware is that there is yet another rediculous app from ATT called ATT Address Book. It runs in the background and prevents address book syncing with OVI. I guess ATT want you to sync only with their server,similar to cloud computing (like I want them to have access to the contact numbers for all my business contacts).
So, who's to blame? ATT for introducing an untested app that can't be shut down into the latest firmware, and Nokia for propogating it through OVI - in short they both are to blame. Nobody did any product testing here??? And you guys wonder why the Asian companies are kicking your butts! Syncing ones address book is pretty basic functionality that is needed for anyone with multiple phones or anyone that would like to back their data up. Not to mention, the new firmware is pathetically slow compared to the older version 4.96.
There is a work around, but it is a pain. What you have to do, is to do a complete reset of the phone, erasing all your content. After the reset DO NOT GO TO YOUR ADDRESS BOOK ON THE PHONE because this is the action that launches the ATT Address Book app. Before you do anything else, do an address book sync. It will work, so that you can get all of your contacts back on the phone, but as soon as you access the data on the phone, you won't be able to sync again due to the ATT Address Book app launching - once it launches it takes over syncing duties, and prevents OVI from syncing. Why do companies always have to destroy a perfectly good product with an endless amount of feature creep???
Unless Nokia can release a new firmware rev without the ATT Address Book, this phone (and the spare 6350) are going in the trash and this will be my final Nokia product. It's too bad as well, as the little 6350 was everything that I personally needed in a phone. The 3G tethering worked great (at least with version 4.96 firmware), the MP3 player was fantastic, and it never dropped a call. Not to mention it fit perfectly in my back pocket. I'm back to using my Apple iPhone 3GS for now until I have a chance to look at some of the new Samsungs...

Error Opening Address Book, iChat, iCal and Big Bang Board Games

I mistakenly trashed the applications list. In order to restore the applications list, I pulled the list out of trash to the desktop and then back to the sidebar. At this point, the applications were not available to the other users of the computer. I then copied the list to the universal applications folder. Now, all but the Address Book, iCal, iChat and Big Bang Board Games work. These applications close "unexpectedly" when I try and open them. Try a couple of things.
Run repair disk from your software install DVD (until it reports no errors).
If that does not work, I would opt for an archive and install:

A&I installs a pristine version of OS X (which would have to be updated, of course) while preserving your files, programs, and settings.

Error about Address Book Tab on Simple Chinese Locale

When logged into web mail , I can visit the address book tab that works OK, the current Preferred Language is English. But when I changed the Preferred Language to Simple Chinese and logged again, I can visit the address book tab at the first time, after I click another tab and click the address book again, some javaScript error happened,and the IE window is blank. Is this a bug ?

Downloading Address Book onto a disc

I have tried to download the Address book onto a disc to no avail. I have tried sliding the address icon onto the disc icon and then clicking burn, obviously I am doing something wrong-
is it best to use DVD or an ordinary disc? I want to do this so that I do not lose the addresses in case the Apple crashes for some reason
I am sure it must be simple if I only knew how!

Thank you for answering so quickly- I have tried doing what you say but it did not work- I will try it again though - usually when I burn things the window comes up showing me what is being burned, but it just flashes up and then goes before I can see wht is happening and the discs appear to be empty
And so that's why I wondered whether a DVD disc is better than the ordinary one, even though I have tried one ( I have gone through 6 discs so far!!)

Is there a way to rebuild the database to reconcile this. Address Book is working OK I just get these messages in console (perhaps when sync wants to work?

WARNING: I do not know if this will help.
Quit Address Book. Look in folder ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and find file AddressBook-v22.abcddb. Drag it to the desktop and restart Address Book. If it helps, or doesn't make thinks worse, put the desktop copy of AddressBook-v22.abcddb in the trash, otherwise (quit AB first) put it back where it came from, overwriting the newer one.

i try to syncronize the Address book and either it freezes or it gets the message with the count go to zero.

Error opening Address Book

When trying to open Address Book I get this message: "You cannot use this version of the application Addressbook with this version of Mac OS X". Only thing is, the address book CAME with this Leopard version, didn't it? I've been using Entourage mainly so I'm sure it's been a while since using Address book, but now that Entourage has crashed (so sad as you cannot get a new version!!!) I wanted to go back to Addressbook, but find I cannot access it. Are there any Addressbook updates I can get? Which package does Addressbook come with these days? It's neither in iLife or iWork, both of which I've updated.
Any help would be valued!

Address Book is part of the Operating System, not iLife, as you suspected. What version of Address Book do you have installed? Have you recently ran Software Update to see if there’s a newer version? I have version 4.1 on Leopard 10.5.8.
Perhaps there’s a problem with Disk Permissions. You could run Disk Utility to check your permissions. To Repair your permissions you may need to run that function a few times. I think on Leopard you have to repair permissions after booting from the Install disks but you can try it first from your internal drive and see if it will run without rebooting.

Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010 Offline Address Book Download

Hi All,
Strange problem that I can't seem to get to the bottom of.
On a couple of users, about 10/100, can't seem to download the Offline Address Book. When they do a manual Download Address Book through Send/Receive Group, the progress window will remain at about 5% and the status will show "Copying Offline Address Book
Template File". If I leave the window, it will be the same for a couple of hours without erroring out.
We have a casarray set up, forced the ports to 59595 and 59596 for the address book as mentioned the guide. We are not doing SSL redirect on the Virtual Directory. Test-AutoConfiguration from Outlook returns the correct entries. Works for most users but
not all.
On the users that do not work, I've tried deleting the users profile, deleting the Outlook Directory under AppData. Sometimes, magically (for a lack of a better word), if I check the Offline Address Book Directory a few days later, there are files there.
If I then do a manual Download, same thing, the progress bar will be stuck.
Puzzling as I'm not quite sure what else to check.
All clients are on Windows 7 and Outlook 2010.
Any ideas?

I also used your recipe --disconnect the wireless mouse-- and the OAB update worked right away.
     (It is not a Microsoft mouse.   )

If you have any quick tips or a pointer to info about this, I wanted to get a better understanding of this topic.
Does this "wireless" for the mouse use the same "wireless" for the laptop regular network access via WiFi ?
(We had some evidence that when the laptop did not use the wireless mouse the OAB worked OK and/or when the laptop was running only on WiFi the OAB worked OK.    Not sure if this is all the same root cause.)
Also, does anyone know if this is something that Microsoft will fix at some point ?
We are trying to determine if "few or many" people here might be having OAB failures and have not reported it.
