I have a macbook pro 13". Have been trying to download adobe flash player but repeatedly have the same error. towards the end of the process i am told to quit safari though i already have. this has happened multiple times. I've followed all the steps but have difficulty. i have been downloading from the adobe website. please guide!

Did you close the Safari window or quit Safari?
Closing the window will not quit Safari.

If you've a new Retina display MacBook Pro, it probably shipped with Mavericks - you can confirm this by going to the Apple on the menu bar and selecting "About This Mac...." if it says system 10.9 or 10.9.1, you're on Mavericks.
To install Flash Player, you must first download it from Adobe -> http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. After the download is complete, you should have a file with a .dmg extension in your Downloads folder. Double-click this file and it will 'mount' as if it is a disk. There will be a 'package' inside and you must double-click this to actually install Flash Player.
Once Flash Player is installed, restart your computer and then open your browser. You should now be able to view Flash content.

I can't watch any Youtube video's at all. It's telling me to downlaod the flash player. I just wanna make sure before I do, that its safe too do so? When I download it will it mess something with my warenty or no? Thanks in advance!

Yes it is safe if you only download direct from Adobe.
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced

I have this version installed on my MacBook Pro. 3.3.7.0 (3.3.7.0) I am using Lion OS X 10.8.4.
I have followed the instructions from the Adobe site, The installation process completes. I click "FInish"
I get taken to the Adobe website, http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/aih/?exitcode=0&type=install where I am told the installation is complete.
I restart the computere just in case, go to YOuTube and blam. You need the latest version of Flash Player error shows up again to complete my frustrating loop.
Under Applications on my Hard Drive, I have: AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_11_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg
When I look at my downloads folder, I find Wccb63Gg.dmg.part
I don't know what to do. I don't seem to have the same file name as others on this site for the download. and I can't find it anywhere.

I have a Mac OS X Version 10.9.5 and I am trying to install the latest version of adobe flash player Version 16.0.0.235. The flash player shows up in my downloads, but the icon is different that what it is supposed to look like. When I double click on the download, a text file appears and I can only open the download through "Text Edit". I have tried everything and I can't figure out why this is happening. That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

The same thing happens to me, Safari asks me to update the Adobe FlasPlayer, I download, start the installation process, ask me my username and password in order to install, then see a window where I choose if I want to always install the updates , or ask first, or not inslate updates, and at this point it is not progress, I can not cancel the process, I turn off and turn on my machine.
What can I do ..??
