Error downloading itunes onto my laptop
I am trying to download itunes on my laptop and this error msg keeps coming up: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Miscrosoft. VC80.CRT, type="win32", version="8.0.50727. 6195", publicKey Token ...... HRESULT: 0x8007054F.
It also says there is a problem installing apple mobile device services.
Can anyone tell me how I can get around this?
Exact same problem!! Keeps telling me to try running it again..

I downloaded iTunes onto my laptop and was getting an Apple Application Support error so I downloaded that and now I'm getting a Procedure Entry Point and Error 7 (Windows Error 127) messages. I have no clue how to go about fixing whatever the problem is...can anyone help me?
iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point
AVCFAssetCreatWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Our computer crashed that we mainly used iTunes on for upgrades, new purchases, etc. We've downloaded iTunes onto my laptop but none of my apps are in the library. We've made this laptop an authorized computer, but it's still not working. Why is this?
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Try uninstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

Trouble downloading itunes onto new laptop
Hi guys, I've been trying to download iTunes onto a new HP Pavillion g6 notebook with Windows 7 Home premium.
It never seems to work and the main dialog box I get says
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
Also another dialog box says
Apple Application Support was not found. Error 2 (Windows error 2)
I'm wondering what I need to do now?
Thank you for any helpWhere do you typically find the library.xml file? I cannot seem to find it on my old hard drive. I have looked under iTunes. If you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Can't download iTunes onto new laptop
I have just bought a new laptop & have been trying to install iTunes without any success. Every time I try, the install process gets as far as 21% or 15MB and stops. It just doesn't go any further. I have iTunes on my desktop & have never had any problems, although, saying that, my desktop runs on XP - my laptop is Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I NEED to have it on both!!! BTW, I have tried disabling my firewall, just while it installs, but this doesn't help.
To save messing around, how about downloading the latest iTunes on your desktop, then copying it across to you laptop via a memory stick or network connection?

Make sure you select save when downloading. -

My home computer is where all of my music is downloaded into iTunes, however I am having major issues with that computer. I downloaded iTunes onto my laptop and have the home sharing on, for both computers. I can not get my music on the laptop and am unable to get my iPhone to show as a device on my laptop. Can the phone connect with two different computers, and if so, how do I go about doing it? Also, please advise on how to share music on two computers.
You can sync your iPod with multiple computers, but what can be synced is very limited. See this article for more details.

Get Error2 message when trying to download iTunes onto my computer
When trying to download iTunes onto my laptop, it keeps giving me an error2 message:
Apple application support was not found.
Apple application support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.
I've tried to uninstall MANY times and installed again, but still get the same message.
Please tell me what to do b/c iTunes does not provide me any directions that are helping me solve this problem.......For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes (similar to those above) and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally.

I just downloaded itunes onto my new laptop and I am trying to burn songs onto a cd that I had purchased previously and I am getting an error message that states I must authorize this computer. What does that mean?
If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

Every time I try to download iTunes onto my Vaio laptop it only downloads partially, then claims to be finished. Is this a problem with my laptop or with iTunes?
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
Can't download iTunes on my laptop receive following error message- an error occurred during the installation of assembly Microsoft vc80.CRT.type="win32", version 8.0.50727. 6195 public key token= ifc8b3b9a1e18e3b process architecture=x86hresult:0073
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)
