Wheni try to download the trial this shows up. i also have a cs6 trial on my computer and im wondering if thats the reason? :This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance.

cancel the akamai download and download files 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 directly. put both in the same directory and double click the exe to start installation.

You don't need a CD to download anything; just download & install the trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements, then activate it with your serial number.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

Which operating system are you using? The file sizes are different depending on your OS. In general though if you got 10 to 15 gigabytes of disk space you should be more than fine. If you are under 10 gigabytes it might be a good idea to do some spring cleaning on your computer to start freeing up some space.

Error to install adobe Photoshop elements 13

Hi,
I am from the UK and have an HP laptop with the intel core i3 processor, I am able to download the package adobe Photoshop elements 13- I get to the 2nd stage of adding the 13 digit registration but once this is accepted and installed it then shows an error and say that there is an installation failure.
Can you advise on how this can be resolved as I need to download this software asap?

I get error message saying archive section of adobe photoshop elements is missing when I try to run the exe file; Ive downloaded everything. Ill have another birthday by the time I download it all again. Any advice?

RAM Error Message in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9

Just bought my first mac on Friday.
I'm running Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
I go to open a little file 500X500 and I get an error message that it cannot open it because there is not enough available RAM.
Machine has 4G!
Anyone know why?

It is possible that this is an error on the part of Elements, or that there really isn't enough RAM. Four GB is plenty (I use 4 on huge RAW files without issue). The only reason that you wouldn't have enough RAM is that you might have some application open that's using it all without you knowing. Here's how to check for this:
Open Activity Monitor (Applications/Utilities). At the top, set the Show menu to All Processes.
Click the Real Memory column header so that the point of the triangle is down. This will bring the processes using the most RAM to the top.
If there's one using a lot (500MB or more), quit it if you don't need to have it open (If it's something you don't know of, post the name and we'll let you know what it is).
Also, select the System Memory tab at the bottom. What are the numbers on the left (Free, Wired, etc)?
If there isn't anything using a lot of RAM, than the problem is probably in Elements. The easiest way to fix it would probably be to uninstall and reinstall it (if that's a big problem, we can look into other ways).
I've used Photoshop CS5 Extended with huge files on a MacBook with 4GB RAM; 2.4 GHz CPU without a problem (well, it was a little slow, but it worked).
