Error during acqusition of asset

Dear SAP Guru's
When i am trying to acquire an asset from a vendor using Tcode F-90 i get the following error
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled
Message no. GLT2201
Diagnosis
The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.
System Response
The document cannot be posted.
Procedure
First check your entries.
Additional causes could be:
No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.
You have entered a document type that is not designed for this business purpose.
Procedure for System Administration
I searched the forum i got many links but was not able to resolve it using them.
It will be great if someone can provide me the step by step solution. ( We are using document split in ECC 6.0 and i have very little knowldege about document split, so please or provide me a detailed answer)

I tried change the profit centere to optional still i get the same error. (Note : In the performance screen (error msg scree) There is a customizing link when i click it, It takes me to the following IMG menu:
Financial accounting new .-> GL New-> Business Transactions ---> Document splitting -
> Define document splitting charaterstics for general ledger accounting.
But i am not sure what configuration i should do over there. (Note: it already has field profit center and segment .there is a tick mark for zero balance and mandatory field against profit center. Nothing is checked for segment.) Hope this input will be of some help.

You are posting asset through MIGO so GL acocunt being debited for asset has to be Asset Reconciliation Account.
Use ME23N and check GL account for Account assginemnt category A whether GL is control one.
Or you can also check in AO90 that the GL assgined to account determination for particular asset class for depreciation areas is reconciliation one or not.
Check whether u had maintianed GL account for ANL transaction event key in OBYC t.code

Date error during creation of asset master using bapi

Hi All,
Am creating asset master using BAPI_FIXEDASSET_OVRTAKE_CREATE ,,
but am getting date problem while passing value '21022005' ( or any date ) in the format 'ddmmyyyy'
the error says 'the capitalization date is invalid' ....
the capitalization date is under the structure BAPI1022_FEGLG002 of the above mentioned bapi....
even i have tried using '21.02.2005' its still not working as the capitalization date is 8 char...
kindly help me out with the possibilities

Hi John,
Some of the structures you have to fill for the IDOC belongs to a referencing ...X structure. For example structure BAPI1022_FEGLG002 and BAPI1022_FEGLG002X.
When you fill the capitalization dat (BAPI1022_FEGLG002-CAP_DATE = '19981231') it's necessary to fill the corresponding field (BAPI1022_FEGLG002X-CAP_DATE = 'X') to specify that the content of the field should be transferred to the fixed asset. Otherwise it'll be not transferred and you'll get an error message instead.

Hello, when i am creating an asset for a certain asset class, i am getting an error popup which reads 'Customizing inconsistency - missing/incorrect entry in table T093B'.The depreciation area associated with the asset class has been created by copy in my opinion. Anyone encountered a similar message.

The error is more generic in nature, nornmally you need to check the customizing settings there is an expert area where you can peform the checking,goto asset accounting --> overview for experts .
Perform the step by step checking then you will be able to identify out the error. but if there is any specific message then let us know

Runtime Error during Creation of Asset (AS01)

Hello Everyone !
I have been trying to CREATE ASSET for a long time but unfortunatly land up on ..... RUNTIME ERROR. I used all the possible ways to get it solved but i am stuck. Error analysis says The ASSERT Condition was violated.
Hope you guys would help me out and push my knowledge further. Answers would be highly appreciated.

I found more information about your issue. These are notes that have been given by SAP in regards to the "ASSERTION_FAILED" runtime error in AS01 or also AS91.

Please be aware of note 988238 which is a composite note with many erros in FI-AA when in ECC 6.0 It advices to:
"Implement the following notes or import at least Support Package 6 for the components EA-APPL and SAP_APPL (available as of October 2006)."
Check also note 949802.

Error during Asset Scrapping using ABAVN - plz advise

Dear all,
Facing an error during asset scrapping using ABAVN for a Korean company code.
Net value of asset is not zero. Transaction type = Disposal/abandonment of prev. year acquisition.
Error occurs on Simulation - Transaction in area 40 contradicts the net book value rule
NBV in area 01 Book Dep - 108,612,225 KRW
NBV in area 40 u2013 Tax Dep u2013 108,612,192 KRW
Negative vals allowed NOT checked in asset master.
SAP says:
The document cannot be posted, as it is contrary to the net book value rule which is checked in area 40.
This error usually occurs when you enter proportional values. The proportional values exceed the amount posted, for example, post capitalization of 100 but proportional depreciation to the amount 110. Check your entries and correct them if necessary.
How do we correct this issue and scrap the asset? Is this specific to Korea? How can we make NBV in area 01 = area 40?
Any clues? Greatful for all answers

6.0.3 Error During Disc Initialization for both DVD+R and Disc Image - Help

I've been a mac user for a few years now, but I just bought a new MacBook, and my first superdrive! I'm all excited to test out the new hardware along with iDVD.
I've made a rather simple DVD setup and the first time through it was encoding for about an hour and then it gave an error message which I don't recall other than it mentioned QT7. I ran updater, no new updates that I needed and I tried again, and from then on I've been getting the Error During Disc Initialization message when burning to my DVD+Rs or when I try and save as a disc image (yes, I've deleted the encoding assets). I have about 20GB free on HDD, and I'm trying to burn approx. 100min of video. I've rebooted multiple times, and I've remade my project a couple times but no dice.
Any idears?

your start-up drive. You should have 20GB+ free.
What are you sending to iDVD?
Verbatim DVD-R, not DVD+R, are very reliable, unlike
TDK and Memorex.

I am running on a 2.0 ghz MacBook with a SuperDrive using Sony DVD+R. I will definitely pick up some Verbatim DVD-Rs though to see if that makes iDVD happy.

Error during creation of entry sheet via BAPI

Hi all,
I have a problem with that bapi and that user exit. I can create a entry sheet with the bapi BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE and get it accepted using the flag BAPIESSRC-ACCEPTANCE of the header.
But if i use the enhancement SRVEDIT in order to do a custom validation i get the following error during the creation of the entry sheet: "E SE 214 Error during update".
Even if i don't do anything in the user exit (only activate it) i still get the message "Error during update". Anybody knows if there is a problem with that user exit? should i do something specific to use that user exit (it doesn't exist any documentation for the user)
Anybody has solved the issue? Anyone knows another user exit to use in the moment of save the changes of the entry sheet?

Error in dep run - Asset under construction

Hi!
Could someone please help me with the following:
My customer has a large amount of assets under construction (AuC) and also other assets. None of the assets under consctruction should have a depreciation key (or depreciation key 0000) and no depreciation accounts are allocated in transaction AO93 for AuC . But my customer now has incorrectly created a few AuC (that should NOT be depreciated at all) with depreciation key LINK. What happened?
1) Test run depreciation (AFAB) for all assets in period 1 during 2010. In test run no error log was created, everything looked fine.
2) Executed depreciation in background.
3) When looking at each of the assets in transaction AW01N I can see that all assets (both real assets and AuC with depreciation key) has depreciation posted in period 1. BUT, no depreciation has been posted in general ledger on any of the asset classes!
4) I have now changed the depreciation key on all AUC in AS02 to 0000 so that no depreciation will be calculated.
5) Trying to run AFAB again for period 2 but error message says that period 1 was terminated and that period 1 should be restarted.
6) Trying to run period 1 again in AFAB with restart but error message says "Account 'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' could not be found for area 01" and refering to all of the incorrect AuC that I have corrected (to no depreciation key)
Please how can I go on? I want to reverse the depreciation in period 1 since I didn't get any posting i the general ledger. And then I want to make a new depreciation run only with correct assets (only depreciation on real assets, not on AuC).
Please help!

Hi,
I had the similar situation couple of months back. I followed below mentioned process and it worked out well.
1) Maintain GL account for depreciation in AO90
2) restart depreciation run for the relevant period
3) change the depreciation key to 0000
4) repeat depreciation run for the same period (It will post a reverse entry in the same month itself. So the net impact of depreciation in the same month is zero).
By the way I have a suggestion to prevent this issue in future.
You may not be able to detect this issue on test run if you execute on foreground mode because the test run execution is restricted to 1000 assets. If the error is on 1001th asset, you will not know.
Hence, always execute depreciation test run on background mode, check for any errors and execute production run only if there are no errors.

First let me give a little background of what I am trying to accomplish. I set up a new depreciation area 02, which is essentially a copy of depreciation area 01 Book Depreciation. The purpose of my new area 02 is to post depreciation only to a seperate expense account for a small number of assets. I set up the 02 depreciation area as a "Real Depreciation Area" with the setting "3 - Area Posts Depreciation Only" setting for Posting in GL.
I activated my area (AFBN) and changed a few assets to my new depreciaion area 02 to my desired key. When I try to post depreciation for one of my changed assets, I receive the error message:
Message(s) when structuring line items for document number ERROR00001
Internal error in item 0000000000: asset row is not complete
I have confirmed that my account determination (AO90) settings for depreciation are set up correctly for 02 for each of my classes (comparing 01 to 02 - only difference is expense account). I have also checked all of options in the "Overview for Experts" section and "Check Consistency" areas, as well as all of the SAP Online help for FI-AA. I have also researched my field status group BS11 and changed a setting for Consolidation Transaction Type to be set to an optional entry.

Messages were issued when line items were created for document ERROR00001. The related lines in the error list are from 2 to 2.
The next lines in the error log provide more information on the errors that occurred, or information or warnings that were issued.
System Response
Information messages are intended to give the user information on certain actions of the program during document creation.
Serious errors during processing can prevent the document from being posted. However, in the case of serious errors, the system continues processing and checking other line items of the same document.
Procedure
Information messages do not cause processing to terminate. No further action is required.
For serious errors that cause processing to terminate, try to find the cause of the error. After you correct the error, you have to restart the posting program.

HT1645 whether i use a DL DVD or just a DVD R, it tells me there was an error during multiplexing. I have tried changing every setting, best performance, professional quality, etc. and still get the same error message every time i try to burn to dvd.

Welcome to the forums.
Looks like that error message does refer to encoding (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1645) but a problem could be that your video has to be reloaded into iDVD if you started the encoding process and then switched settings. You could start a new iDVD project, or try deleting encoded assets.
Let's start from the beginning -- what length of video are you trying to fit on the DVD? (this will indicate what encoding options you have). Double layer DVDs can be finicky and are used for video more than 2 hrs long.
Use good quality media -- Verbatim is often recommended around here, and I've used Sony DVD-R with good results.

Error message: Error During Rendering / Encoding

Greetings,
I have used iDVD in the past without problems on my macbook pro. Now it seems there is no way to make it work! I get this error everytime: "Error During Rendering/Encoding" the error is in the menu/slideshows, but I see that it never gets past the menu item on the list of things it is working on. I have tried going to the older menus and no luck. It says that the burning process has been cancelled. Any ideas?????

I was having the same problem yesterday and researched all the solutions in the Forum. I wasn't experiencing the problem with burning to a disc, because I was trying to burn a disc image, so the variable of "better" versus "best" disc wasn't a factor. I did three simple things that I read about, after I tried four times and received the "Multiplexor Error" thing. One, I deleted encoded assets (Advanced > Delete Encoded Assets). Two, I trashed the iDVD preference file (home > library > preferences > com.apple.iDVD.plist), but only after I closed the iDVD application. Three, and maybe this stupid little glitchy thing made a difference, I deleted from the title and scene headings all characters other than letters of the alphabet and numbers. I have a few "&"'s and "/"s in there and maybe a few other little lazy short-cut things. Sort of a Microsoft thing, but maybe that was the trick. So, this morning the Disc Image was created, I've burned several DVD's (Magnavox DVD-R), they work on my Sony Blu-Ray player and all is happyland today.

Error during movie encoding - tried all the common things, any suggestions?

HI, Attempting to burn a DVD from iDVD 7.11
I'm getting the "Encoding Error: There was an error during movie encoding" dialogue at the end of an attempted burn. Tried several times and many of the suggestions already on the forum
I have "shared" the movie from iMovie. When it first opens iDVD I have to change the default setting of "best Performance" to "Professional Quality" and the video mode to PAL (I'm in Australia). I change it both in the preferences pane (a change which seems to be ignored when I restart the program) and in the project info.
- I'm trying just to make a disc image, but haven't got past this first step to getting it to DVD...
- There is only the movie in my project (I've not added audio or pics in iDVD)
- I've used the "Modern" theme and deleted the default drop zones and menu audio,
- I've checked the chapter markers are not at the start of the movie or near any transitions,
- There are no special characters in the titles,
- All titles and menus are within the TV safe zone,
- I've deleted the com.apple.iMovie.plst files and emptied trash,
- I've tried deleting encoded assets,
- Repaired permissions, restarted the computer, checked for updated software,
- (tried a "safe boot" as someone suggested somewhere, but the program couldn't find the movie or audio files),
- I have 660GB free on the main hard drive,
- I've disconnected external drives,
- no error appear in map view,
- I preview the project and all appears fine,
The original footage was filmed for me. I was given a DVD which I ripped into an MP4, import into iMovie, edited the audio, added AIFF audio, added a jpeg image and 2 transitions. (Unfortunately the audio on the original I was given is unusable, else I could just copy the DVD I was given.)
So if anyone has further suggestions as to what might resolve this issue, please let me know!

The project is 123 minutes, 4.16GB and it's being broadcast on TV, so I need max quality I can get (without spending money!)
I think I have sort of solved the problem - addressing what you've identified in a slightly different way.
Since my previous post, I noticed that clicking on the "Media" tab in the side pane, and selecting "Movies", my project was listed, but when I clicked on it, rather than the thumbnail I get on other movies I've processed, I got this text:
"This iMovie project can't be used because it hasn't been prepared for sharing yet. To prepare it for sharing, open it in iMovie and choose Share > Media Browser.... "
I did that (7 hours processing) then successfully created the disc image (2 hours processing). I have now burnt the DVD using disc utility (1 hour processing). It plays OK on the computer, but I'll need to check it on a normal player before marking this as thread solved (I don't have one here at home).
Unfortunately somewhere in all this processing the video has significantly lost quality. I thought I'd used all the highest quality setting, but will have to go back and check each step again. Unless someone reading this post has noticed anything I've done so far that would compromise video quality. The audio is fine - which for this project is the most important aspect.
So in regard to my initial problem; it seems there is a problem in iDVD not recognising/remembering the set preferences when using the "Share > iDVD " function in iMovie.
To summarise my solution for anyone else who experiences the same issue,
When sending a project from iMovie using "Share > iDVD " it seems you must also choose "Share > Media Browser.... "
This may be specific only to the case where PAL is required.
PS
I should also note, incase it made any difference, that I found the default headings in the chapter menus had dashes in them (i.e. it defaults to "Scenes 1 - 6", so I changed to "Scenes 1 to 6"). The only other modification I made since my original post was using stills instead of moving thumbnails for the chapter selection.

sorry if this is a repost but i have looked through all the other threads taken on board all the advice and still coming to the same result. im hoping there is someone who can help? its driving me a bit mad tbh
this is where im at:
- have 63gb of free disc space
- have repaired disc permissions
- no errors on map image page
- all files work in quicktime and itunes
- all MP4 (h.264, mp3 audio, 16:9) coversion done in mpeg streamclip
- does not exceed the space allowance in 'project info'
- have tried moving the iDVD pref file to the desktop (with app closed)
- Tried 'deleting encoded assets'
- cleaned dvds.
- iDVD version 7.0.4
- disabled chapter markers
- using verbatim DVD-R discs
- tried slower burn speeds (x4)
- tried burning a disk image as well as straight to disc
keep on getting the same issue "error during movie encoding"
can anybody help?

all MP4 (h.264, mp3 audio, 16:9) coversion done in mpeg streamclip
I suspect something is wrong with this conversion. What was the original video source?

Where having problems with the process of Fixed Assets. We are adding datas in te ff: forms: Fixed Asset Master Data, Asset Classes, Account Determination and Fixed Asset Aquisition. The error appeared in the lover area in red color stating 1: Unknown error during installation
Please advise what to do.

It is difficult to say but more looks like corrupt installation .You probably have to reinstall .
