Error during activation of business content

Hi
I am facing problems during the activation of the standard business content.
I am trying to activate the infocube 0ic_c03 material stock movement. We are using BW version 3.5 patch level 13.
while activating the business content and using the grouping "in data flow before" there are several errors which come up during the simulation install such as
infoobject XXX is not available in version A
Error when reading data target XXXX
Data source XX not mantained
Key figure XXX is not available in version D
In order to avoid activating pre-installed objects i have deselected them.
I am in urgent need of some help. So any ideas that will help to resolve my problem are assured of being rewarded handsomely!!

Thanks the responses have been encouraging and i do see a glimmer of hope
since i am fairly new at this I wanted to know
1. does it make sense to install (or activate) the infoobjects which are shown as not available in version A individually and then trying the install of the infocube. It does remove the errors associated with the infoObject as i saw with one infoobject. Does this have any other impact
2. For the data sources i went to rsa5 on the source r3 system. but the data sources listed in the errors were not found (the data source errors that are shown are of the type 0DBDUNS_IMPORT_XXX). Also it is my understanding that the data sources that are required for the inventory cube are 2lis_03_bx , 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um. Is this correct? I do not see them indicated in these errors. What do i do once i am in rsa5 and i select these datasources?

iam facing an error, iam getting the error while activating the Business Content sales info cube and Inventory info cube with the collection option DATA FLOW BEFORE. In my system the service pack was 14, what shall be the approach. Here iam getting the error like some 0DB-- objects are not available in the D version. if u have any solution for this please share with use also.

Hi Experts,
when iam trying to activating the business content infocube 0CRM_C08
iam getting few errors
Error-1:- Characteristic 0COUNTY_CDE is still being used as target of transfer rule ZCOUNTY_TEXT
Error-2:- Char. 0CRM_OBTYP3 is exclusively an attribute (cannot be a navigation attribute)
Error-3:- Authorization field CRM_SALORG still being used in authorization objects
Error-4:- Cannot delete authorization field of InfoObject 0CRM_SALORG
Error-5:- InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BB) of characteristic 0MATERIA
Can anyone please clarify regarding these kind of errors.
What i have to do for make a successfull activation

Error while activating the business content object

Hi guru,
We have installed a new BI system, and hence we need to activate all the business content object as they are available in delivery version.
So as there was an requirement i tryed to activate the business content object ,that is 0mat (MATNR) material number,
but once done with the installation when i try to find the object and display it
that is i select the object 0mat , context menu and say display or change it does not show the complete screen as it appears for a characterstic and gives a error
"_settings for material number conversion not found"_*
so please help me out what is the problem

but let me inform you that i already did that as i need to install this object and now the object is showing with green instead of grey,
Now my problem is that after selecting grouping and collection when i go to infoobject menu under modelling and find out the object 0mat, it shows in green , but as i need to observe the properties of this object like data type , length etc , i select the object 0mat and right click and select display,
then instead of showing me the object properties screen it gives me the error as mentioned above,
so as you say it has to be in active versoin , but i can not view the normal screen which appears after creating any object ,
now i hope my problem is quiet explanatory so please help me.

Error while activating PM Business Content DSO 0PM_DS01

I am trying to activate the Business Content for PM (Plant Maintenance). I wasable to activate the cubes without any problem.
But when I tried activating the DSO 0PM_DS01, the installation is failing while activating the DSO with the message. "You are not authorised for Infosource 80PM_DS01"
Has anybody else also faced a similar error?

I am getting this error while activating the Cube ,I'm not able to see update rules after activated in the Modelling.. My using 7.o but working on 3.x version, with support package 15.
When i stimuldate following are the errors:
80BP_ID not maintained
Data source 0DBDUNS_IMPORT_ATTR not maintained
Error while reading InfoProvider 0SD_O01 etc...
Please help me out from this error since two days i'm tryhing to resolve but i'm not able to activate...

Hello,
Go to business content, select the Infoprovider which you intend to install, select the before after option. Then say install & ignore the warnings & say yes. If still you are not able to view the update & transfer rules there might be some issues in the source system.
1] Check in rsa 6 that the datasources feeding to your cube are avialable or not.
2] Check the same is been replicated in BW or not.
3] The time stamp from both source system & BW system should match, otherwise replicate it again.

Error while activating the Business Content

Hi BI gurus,
I am installing the business content for the sales overview infocube with the grouping option data flow before and install in back ground option. The back ground job is cancelled with the error msg"STDO: Log could not be written on output device T" and at the end it shows ABAP/4 processor: LOAD_PROGRAM_LOST error.
Can any one give solution for this. This is very urgent,

Can anyone help me here as i am getting error while trying to activate BI content through SPRO in BW
The job RSTCC_ACTIVATEADMINCOCKPIT_NEW is excuted in background and its getting cancelled.
Also giving me dump in ST22 as Assertion failed,

I have seen the problem before when the following notes were not applied:
1317483 - BI Application name missing for 3.X Workbook and Templates
1330447 ASSERT incorrect when RRI jump targets are activated
Can you please apply the notes in your system and check if the problem is resolved?

Error During Activation of Web services

When I try to create a web services using RFC and try to complete the steps in the wizard. I am getting error message as "Error during Activation of web services". and also when configure service in wizard, im getting only two profiles as "Basic Authorization: SOAP PROFILE" and "Secure SOAP PROFILE". Kindly do the needful.
Moderator message: please do more research before asking, show what you have done yourself when asking.

SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?

Has anyone got the following error during activation of ExternalWebServiceIntegration?
I am trying to create an ExternalWebServiceIntegration for a SOAP based ERP web service. I am able to create the ExternalWebServiceIntegration using the required WSDL file. But when I try to activate it, I get this error message.
Any idea on what could be causing this?

Did you perform a "Check" and see if something's thrown at Output window?
If you don't have enough info to debug, then I suggest you raise an incident.

SM37 is mainly for monitoring the back ground jobs...... both in R/3 side and BW side this is same.. just for monitoring the background jobs... fisrt by using SM36 basis people will schedule in background.. and we just identify.. which are completed and which are not completed... in SM37.
there are various status they are
PLANNED
RELEASED
CANCELLED
ACTIVE
FINISHED
READY

In Sm37 u can see the different options for background jobs, like Scheduled, released, ready,active, finished, canceled.. If u want to know the Status of the current running job, U just type the job name, user name then click execute(F8).

Hi Michal,
I do not have deleted some libraries in the XI-Installation.
I have some customer functions in other mappings but no message mapping without or with customer function can I activate, now.
The mappings are in serveral software components but it is no chance to activate a message mapping.

Error During Activation while activating Report Selection Texts

Hi,
I've developed a report and the Transport Request for the Report has been migrated to Quality and Production Systems. Now, I have to make some more changes where I had to create another request.
Now, while activating the Selection Texts for the Report under the New Transport Request, it gives me an error message saying "Error During Activation". Could somebody tell me the reason and resolution for this error?

Hi ,
Try activating it through se80 , as it activates the complete object .
In inactive head , with your user id see all the inactive object , may be there you can find the program , or the texts . Activate and see.

Question on activation of Business content.

Hi friends,
Our client is implementing BW , and we are in the process of activation of business content, I already some content activated already , for Porcurement, right not I see , in Administrator work bench > Infoprovider TAB>0MMPUR_IO and all the master data objects under neath it and the same under Infosources tab also , so what is the grouping they might have follwed in installing and with what activation they must have started with ( IO, Infoarea, Insource..data targets ..)?
Once we know what they have followed with , we want to continue the same for others .

You can still activate content with grouping as required but in the process just make sure you set/flag the Match(x)or Copy and Installation will not impact/overwrite already activated objects.
