Error during Application Server Install

Hi
I get the below error during Infrastructure install as well as Application Server. But if I click ok , it completes the install , not sure whether this is critical issue.
The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL
I am installing this in Windows XP Professional,Service pack2 . I tried installing the same in my laptop with same configuration and I did not get this error. Only difference between my laptop and desktop is , in my laptop I am running IE6.0,where as in desktop I am running IE7.0. I am not sure this is relevent here..
Any assistance would be really helpful

Hi,
I would trash and start again....does not take that long for a Dialog instance...
Could be a typo error when you inputted....
Be careful when it's asking for the dialog server name then asks for the databse server name as it fills in the
dialog server name for both...

Message bean does not start automatically during application server startup

I have a message bean that does not start up during application server startup. I am able to successfully start the application manually using the visual admin tool.I searched the logs and found the following error. The error references the "QueueConnectionFactory" is not deployed or is not started. I have check and the "QueueConnectiopnFactory" is deployed. Is this a problem with the application trying to start before the "QueueConnectionFactory"? Is thier a way to define a dependency on my application not to start until the "QueueConnectionFactory" has been started, if so can how would I define this dependency. Please provide and example.

I though the same thing, but XE LISTENER is running on localhost and port 1522. On the other hand XE have local_listener explicitly set to the very same connection descriptor. Even XE installation was second on this server.
I've could change that yes, but the startup script doesn't seemed to have this mind.

Oracle Application Server Install Issue

Gurus,
There were 2 CD/DVDS (media) sent for the Oracle Application Server Install, but the Oracle Universal Installer did not ask for the 2nd CD while doing the Install, is this normal or I am not sure I missed any steps while installing the 1st CD/DVD.
I was waiting that it would ask for the IInd CD/DVD, But it never? but the Install looked clean and exited clean without any error.
Please advice.

The 2nd disk is Companion CD. It contains the install files for other components.
For instance, If you want to install Oracle HTTP Server only, then you use the companion CD to do so. It has many other individual installations.

I tried to post an error IDOC with status "51" of message type FIDCC2 using program RBDINPUT, it just creates a message "Error during application input" . It is not calling the application dialog . Does anyone have answer for this?

I've the Orion Application Server installed

Hi,
we have the Orion Application Server installed. And so it's not possible to install the PDK like it is wrote in the Installation Guide of the PDK.
I don't hava the path named .../OC4J_HOME/applications.
Has anyone an Idea how to install the PDK in this Environment?

If you are using Orion, then you can substitute the OC4J_HOME with orion folder (The foldr that gets created when you extract orion.zip).

I have one ides application server installed in a VM (OS - win 2003). I am using Win 7 on physical machine. Now i want to setup such a network by which I can access my IDES server from any where through internet , which is installed in VM. If possible I also want to configure both the systems to access ides from win7 of my Physical machine (without internet). If possible kindly suggest with examples.
Kindly help me out I am new to all these networking techniques but I can understand & follow the suggestions properly........

I have the situation where I am accessing VM ware installed SAP system from outside.
You have to take help from your network team, they will reveal the IP to outer world and open all the required ports.
2nd situation is that you need to access it without internet, that can be possible if you will be in same LAN.
With my experience I can say that there will be no issue for your windows 203 or wind 2007, it doesnt depends on platform.

Error Creating Application Server 10.1.3.1 connection from JDev 10.1.3.1

I have installed OAS 10.1.3 on Linux RH ES 4 and it is running.
But I get error when trying to create Application Server Connection from JDev 10.1.3.1. This is our first time with full version OAS, pls help..
Below is what I did :
On Connection Tab :
Connect To : Single Instance
HostName : Linux2
OPMN Port : 6003
OC4J Instance Name : appserver
When I do Test Connection I get this error :
Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-appserver+oc4j-linux2.sas.co.id-6003-default:
Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
I have check with OPMN status on the OAS Server, it is running.
What is wrong here ?

I assume it does work because but I could not get it to work. It may have been my inexperience with the connection settings to the server. There seemed to be a number of methods of deployment and it was unclear what was needed.
Also, when i used the Enterprise Server Control I could see the deployment crashing with out of memory errors.
The Enterprise Server Console link can be found on the home page for the AS eg:
http://your-server.com:7777/
Both the server port and oc4jadmin password would have been specified during the install of the 10G AS. The ESC is also needed for configuring security providers and settings for the OC4J.
If you find you are having memory problems this is the memory configuration fix from the middleware forums:

I have had a few virtual machines that built fine... one I’ve been using to test with works about 33% of the time and fails with the same error other times.
I have tweaked the RAM and the # of Virtual Procs and nothing seems to consistently fix it. Specifically I've disabled dynamic memory, set the RAM to 8GB and the number of procs to
4. I've also downloaded the SharePoint ISO from multiple sources (MSDN/TechNet/Trial) thinking the installer was possibly corrupt - same issue.
At this point I'm thinking it is either an issue with Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 + SharePoint or else something specific to my hardware but it is terribly hard to troubleshoot an error that
is intermittent. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

JavaHelp error in application server

I have an application web-based, this is a system of help (javaHelp). Build an archive .war and I put in the Tomcat container, all fine. But when I put the same archive in a application server (JBoss) it generated error:

Try changing the oc4jadmin password:
- stop oc4j
- edit system-jazn-data.xml and replace encrypted pw with !newpassword
- remove cache pw from securestore directory
- start oc4j

i have deployed my oc4j instances and everything is starting fine when i enter opmnctl startall
when i try to login on the application am receiving HTTP 500 - Internal server error from Internet Explorer.
in apache error.log , i have the error "mod_oc4j: Failed to find a failover oc4j process for session request for destination: application://ascontrol (no island or jgroup)."

I believe I've followed the installation and startup directions correctly. Any thoughts on what I might have done wrong?

It works with jdk 1.5 corect. With java 1.4.2 try to run oc4j using this command:
OC4J_JVM_ARGS=-Djava.awt.headless=true ./oc4j -start
