Error during EPMA planning app deployment

Hello Experts,
I am trying to deploy an EPMA Planning application through Workspace. EPM version is 11.1.2.3
Below is the error that is getting thrown while deployment (with selecting options - "Refresh Outline", "Create Security Filters" & "Full Deploy"):
Creating Security Filters...: Index: 1, Size: 1 An Exception occurred during Application deployment.: Index: 1, Size: 1
Any idea what should be exact meaning of this error/exception?

Hi Santy,
Does it deploy if you remove the Security filter option, what is the error message if you deploy just the security filters from within the planning app and not epma, if it is generates an error from the planning app there should then be some information in the planning and essbase logs.

We have a deployed EPMA planning app....in EPMA shared libraray the begbalance of period is deleted...
So when we validate the planning app..its throwing out error abt begbalance...when we add begbalance to period n validate we get following erors:

Hi,
Period dimension in an EPMA Planning application must have "BegBalance" member - you may choose not to use it by unchecking "Use Beginning Balance" checkbox in the Planning properties of each relevant "Scenario" member - then BegBalance will always be read-only in that scenario and you just don't include it in any data forms.

Incorrect web server is listed and unable to create EPMA Planning App

I was trying to create a first EPMA Planning app but unable to continue as it lists incorrect web server.
Little background on the environment: WinTel 2008 environment, 11.1.2 Suite.
FS, Essbase, Workspace on box 1
Planning on box 2
HFM on box 3
FDM on box 4
RA, FR on box 5
Oracle Enterprise on Box 6
Originally planning was installed on box 5 and switched to box 2. Currently web server list box 5 instead of updated box (2).
Are there any settings that I can modify to list proper server?

Wizard to convert EPMA planning app into ASO cube thorugh EPMA

Hi All,
I came to know that in 11.1.2.1 there is a wizard to convert epma planning app into ASO app. I have a requirement and I looked into the oracle documents for more information on this but could not find the right document where I can get more information. Please share any information that you have on converting to ASO app.

No John, it is not in EAS and it is through planning. I came to know that it is a wizard that we can navigate thorugh planning and I went through the different documents of 11.1.2 and 11.1.2.1 looking for it but I was not able to find the path.

Currency UDA in EPMA Planning app

Version 11.1.2.0;
I've just upgraded a Classic multi currency Planning app to EPMA. The currency conversion is a manual HBR rule and was working fine in Classic.
Now after converting the rule to Calc Manager, I get the validation error for the part where it looks for the Entity members currency UDA.
( @ISUDA("Entity","NZD") )
I believe that Business Rules (HBR) validate the code against Essbase application while Calculation Manager does it against Planning. Can someone point out how I may resolve this issue. I haven't worked with Calc Manager before.

I was pointed to the below bug, which I believe was fixed in some patch for 11.1.1.3. Due to this one would have believed that 11.1.2.0 would have been fine.
Hsp_Rates dimension members other than Hsp_InputValue and Hsp_InputCurrency (for example, HSP_Rate_USD) do not validate successfully against Planning in Calculation Manager. To work around this, deploy these rules to Planning and launch them without validating them in Calculation Manager (7163027)
I did deploy the rules without validating and they run successfully when launched from Planning. I'm pretty sure now that this bug has somehow remained in 11.1.2.0

Unable to delete EPMA Planning app & re-use datasource for new app

We have EPMA Planning application (v11.1.1.3)
I am trying to delete a deployed planning application and try to use the same datasource for creating new application.
I have deleted the application from EPMA application library and deleted it from Planning directory in Shared Services. But, still that datasource is not showing up as available datasource for new application.
Any ideas to how I can re-use the datasource. Please advise.

You may need to update the planning system tables.
Go into the planning system relational tables
Table HSPSYS_APPLICATION, delete row relating to planning app, note the app_id.
Table HSPSYS_PROPERTIES, delete records with id that you have just stored.
Table HSPSYS_DATASOURCES, update app_id to -1 for the datasource you use for the planning app.
Restart Planning.
Try again.

Deleted EPMA Planning App still visible

Hi all,
I deployed a planning App in EPMA and it was unsuccessful. Since the deploy option was faded out, I deleted the app from Application library,But I still can see the app in Navigate-> Applications-> Planning.
How can I delete the planning App from the list of Applications?

Error during Network Planning (SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME)

During Interactive planning in SNP when releasing the forecast to network (thru transacction /sapapo/snp01) we are getting an runtime error "SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME"
Please help. Error analysis appearing in dump is mentioned below
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
     not caught in
procedure "SELID_GET" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    An Open SQL clause was specified dynamically. The contained field name
    "SEL_9AACTNAME" does not exist in any of the database tables from the FROM
     clause.

Yes you are right. The forecast is already released to SNP and the team is now doing network planning. We are facing the error here.
Our technical person has done the analysis and it seems that its due to some Local objectcs that are implemented in system.
Will update once the issue is resolved.

EPMA Planning App 11.1.2.3 Stuck

I deployed an EPMA Planning Application 11.1.2.3 . It has been an almost an hour.Looks like the deployment is stuck at 10%.
What is the procedure to abort the deployment?

You can open another instance of workspace and see whether the status is updated. It might have completed the process. I would say try logging into the application and see if the change came over or not.
You can always re-deploy it once everything is up and running.

Are these known errors, are they likely to cause problems? Was the deployment "successful"? The process did continue after summarizing the number of errors during the resolution process and eventually terminated.

Hi Peter,
The process of resolving the transitive closure of a large set of java classes (like the BC4J framework) can be quite memory intensive in JServer for the resolution phase.
You can alleviate this problem by turning the verifier (-noverify option) off.
That will speed up the resolution process a bit.
Also in your init.ora file check the java pool size and if it is less than 50 MB, do increase it to 50 MB or larger (The higher the better.)

Error while loading members using ads file in EPMA planning app in 11.1.2.2

Hi,
I am trying to update the dimension using ads file in EPMA application(11.1.2.2).
1. I am getting following error:
"The member 'xxx' cannot be created or inserted into the shared dimension 'yyy' within the application 'abc' during application import as this is not allowed by the system. Property updates for this member will not be processed."
2. Also, I am trying to create shared dimension using ads file. I am replacing Isprimary property to 'N' and Datastore property to 'ShareData' in the ads file. There is no error while doing it and the status is 100% complete but I could not see any changes in the hierarchy.
Any help would be great in this.

If anyone interested, we have manually validated and deployed the application. From then on the batch was working fine again. It looks like validation has been failing during the batch, but once we did it manually, it seems to have cleared itself.

i was able to solve the error :-).
I was trying to migrate an application from iAS 6.5 to 7.0. During the deployment of the application (using ant scripts) a few jar files required for the application to run were copied to the jdk\jre\lib\ext folder. Those files were the cause of the problem. Once i removed those files i was able to start up the application server..

Error while selecting planning app in Business Rules

Hi ,
I am not being able to select the planning outline while developing business rules (but I can select the Essbase Outline). Whenever I expand the Planning node, an error pops up the details of which says "Error connecting to Essbase server machinename/testapp." There is a details button which says: "Could not log into Planning "Detail:Could not log in to Planning Server".
Can anyone help me out. I am not being able to view the rules in the planning UI .
I have tried for recycle the EAS even though i am getting same error.

Hi,
Always follow this process, stop the planning service and eas service.
Start RMI service
Start EAS
Start Planning
Log into the web planning application
Then go into EAS and create a new rule, select an outline to the application you have just logged into via web.
Also if you are using the default admin user to log into EAS try another user that has been provisioned with business rules roles
If you still have problems then go to My Oracle Support (formely metalink3) then have a look at doc id - 763345.1

Money paid - server error during download - no app...

The problem is pretty popular as I see.
So, I've bought an app in Ovi Store, paid by auto-sent double sms and when trying to download the app, there was "server error" message or something.'
I got two sms-confirmation with transaction codes.
Please - Nokia or users - help - how can I finally get the app or get my money back ??
