Hi,
While doing Goods Issue (Mov Type 201), the system save the Document, but when we display the Document, the System gives the following message:

Please note that using MMPI, we have opened the back period. There is not problem in posting the Goods Receipt/ Goods Transfer/ Invoice Posting.

an update termination happens only in an unexpected case, no authority is an expected case and SAP would issue a status message long before posting.
In your case SAP determined a document number (item number) that is already in the data base. hence it can technically not store the document.
such things happen if one transports a number range from a development system, but in dev systems the current number is much lower than in a production system, so the next number that is taken from the number range is already used and stored in a table.
or if one resets number ranges after an archiving run or for any other intention.

I am getting an error during goods issue which says posting period not open.I guess that we have had deliveries that were created and in process while crossing over from one financial period to another quite frequently before, but we were still able to goods issue them in the next period. Can anyone tell me why this error happens and if there is any work around for this?

Hi,
Goods issue takes place, say on a given date and this should be updated, so that the plant valuation changes are recorded. But the periods need to opened to do this. Normally there are two posting periods available, one is in MM, done by t.code MMPV and the other in FI, t.code is OB52.
So, in MMPV we need have the current month as the posting period. But in your case it was allowing, probably because you have marked the indicator " allow posting in previous period " in MMRV t.code as our friend just conveyed.

Error Msg: Express Document 'Update was Terminated' in VF02 t-code

Hi all,
When I click on save in VF02 transaction I am getting message that ' Express Document 'Update was Terminated' received from author 'XYZ'.
After saving when I am seeing in header -output the output type not appearing.
Please Help me Its an urgent requirement.

there is two reasons
1) Number range is not specied limit define billing document number range.
path- img sd- billing -define number range and see diffenettly i hope your problam willbe solved.
2) t.code NACE whether you have maintained the condition record or not check other wise please maintain it.

Error during Goods Issue using movement type U61

Dear All,
There is this error with respect to goods movement type U61. It states u201C Difference in Object List header data: U61 previously /321 Newu201D
I get this error when I am doing the Goods issue using the transaction EM10 or MB1A

Hi,
The goods issue movement type is 501, the previous movement type was also 501 only. The status of the device is in ESTO. By doing goods issue using movemenn type U61, I need to make them in to AVLB status.

Check the validity of the cost element and gl account. You may need to extend the validity of the cost element.

Error during Goods Issue Posting to Cost Center

Hi all,
I have WM and HUM active.
I'm trying to post a GI to Cost Center using the transaction MIGO and Movement type 201. I get this error during the transaction:
Data for creating a delivery is incomplete (Vendor)
Message no. M7279
Diagnosis
The system found that the data required to create a delivery via Shipping is not complete.
System Response
The system cannot create a delivery.
Procedure
Check that the data for Vendor is maintained in your system:
loading group
debtor number
sales organization
distribution channel
division
shipping condition
shipping point
It's strange that the error is specific to vendor because this is an inhouse transfer to a cost center. However, I've maintain the listed items in spro.
There's still something wrong and I'm at a loss. What am I doing wrong? How can I correct it?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Earmarked funds - Express document "Update was terminated" error

Hi,
When i create a contract(RECN), a earmarked funds document getting created and it updates the table KBLK with single primary key BELNR.
I see in the Tcode OK60, the number range assinged is '05' - 0200000000 to 0299999999.
KBLK table has entries created from 0200000000 to 0299994311 which were created earlier.
From this financial year, when i am creating a contract, the new BELNR is started again from 0200000000 series, hence it throws an error message "Express document "Update was terminated" since entries are already exist in the KBLK table.
Finally i understand we have to change number range assignment.
Where can i do this? Please help if my understanding is wrong, how can i rectify this issue.

Hi,
U can change the number range for the contract for this fical year and make it start from 0299994312 to 0299999999.
But it seems u have already used most of the numbers, so go for a new number range for both the documents.

Hi All,
I m creating shipment frm the transaction VL01.
While creating the shimpment i am assigning one Z output type and clicking on the planning phase on the shipment.
After that i am saving my shipment.
At this point of time my shimpmnet is created but after this(after saving the shimpment) if i am trying to do anything it is giving me the below error.
Express document "Update was terminated" received from author "Sachin Yadav".
Kindly help why i m gettng this error. How to remove this error.

SAP is telling you that the transaction failed and a rollback has been executed, due to some catastrophic error in the system. These often arise from errors in exit coding....check ST22 to see if you can find anything...there may be a clue there....otherwise start looking at the changes you just made for the source of the error.
This error occurs, most likely, because during the actual save to database operation, or because of something in follow-on processing launched during the save step (like a new background task for form output or something like that) an fatal error is occurring and SAP is detecting that and rolling back the body of work that was just committed to the database.

Hi Stephen,
This error message comes when ur transaction doesn't get the proper system resources or when the load on the server is too much. Becuase of which tables dont get update and u get the error .
basically it is performance issue of the system. U can try after some time if proble persists u can contact ur BASIS team.

as max and siva have told, check in ST22...
there, check the source code extract on which line it failed. you can also check what values were there at that particular time by checking the variable stored in that dump as well...
if you are still note sure, click on that source code(shown in that dump->source code extract) .. and keep a break point there and then see what really happened there by re-executing your transaction.

Getting "Express Document Update was terminated" while creating BP..

I am creating Business Partner using HR Pernr using following BAPI's.
1. BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA - To create BP.
2. BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD - To create address..
3. BUPA_ROLE_ADD_2 - To create role.
4. BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE - To create relationship.
5. BUPA_BANKDETAIL_ADD - To create acounts.
6. BUPA_STATUS_ADD - To create status.
BP is creating fine...along with I am getting the Error like "Express Document update was terminated received from author ......" . Error descriptin looks like below.
Error Info... CD 328: DUPREC:POS&BUPA_ADR&DP00243572.
I have verified in SM13 T code...It is showing in BUPA_ADR_WRITE_DOCUMENT.
Please suggest me how we can resolve this issue...

Hi Rama Krishna,
This can also happen when your number ranges are incorrectly defined.
Try checking number range assignment for BP and check in table if number already exist.
We faced similar problem when migrated data from prod server and someone change the number ranges for PO.

Express document "Update was terminated" on saving vendor payment F-48

TCODE F-48.
When we are going to pay full payment to party it works fine
Problem:
When we do partiall payment for example
100 kg material Price $100
first time: we purchase 50kg of $50 and create GRN
After this when we decide to pay the remaing payment of the material then system give the error .
Express document "Update was terminated" . This error appears when we select all the Taxes line simultaneously.
System not show this error when select one tax line and post the document but this is not acceptable because multiple invoice will create for lone documnet.

   Iam trring to change sales order which is exist in the system provided to insert a new item
for a existing sales oder and pass values to header and update flag as 'U'
and item details and flags for corresponding items.once it throws an error as
"Express document "Update was terminated" recev from auth "
while iam executing bapi_salesorder_change once control goes to the
Bapi_transaction_commit it throws Error .
may i know what is problem and how pass values to BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE
Why that kind of errors occur oftenly.

Error analysis:
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
     in
    procedure "SD_PARTNER_UPDATE" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
     clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
    the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
    (With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
    situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
when i comment partner details it works but
Iam not getting quantity and partner details   so how to pass Partner Details   and item quantity
to updated existing line item number.
