Error during GR posting. "Serial Number management only allows whole number

Dear Gurus,
Need your help regarding the error encountered during MIGO. Error M7172 "Serial Number management only allows whole number"
Based from the PO posted, Matl X has 50ea order quantity, however, the material master is maintained with a Base unit of OZ,
with this, conversion has been added to convert the EA --> OZ. and result will be 0.531OZ for the PO Qty in SKU.
Known that decimal places is not possible in conjunction to Serial Number Management.
May I just confirm if there could be settings that can be configured, so as to allow decimal values be used and assign serial number. Or is serial number should just be assigned per unit (meaning 1:1, one serial number per 1 whole value of uom)?

    order unit, when doing goods receipt against purchase order:
    Situation 1:
    Qty in Unit of Entry 1.000 KG
    Qty in SKU 100 EA
    Qty in Delivery Note 100 EA
    No error message.
    Situation2 :
    Qty in Unit of Entry 999 KG
    Qty in SKU 99,900 EA
    Qty in Delivery Note 100 EA
    and we get error message serial number management only allows whole
    numbers. Quantity delivered is the same in basis unit so why is the
    system producing the error message? Is there a way of avoiding this?

    Serial numbers are maintained for quantity in base unit of measure.
    In your example quantity is not a whole number (99,9 EA). 1 serial number is assigned to each unit; however system is unable to create serial number for 0,9 units here.
    You cannot use serial number if you have units which have decimals.
    Check serial number profile assigned to material in material master.
    If stock check is not very important, try to change stock check setting to warning for serial number profile in IMG txn OIS2.

    The message is correct.  You can only register a product once... there is no need to register again after you do it the first time.  You can re-install and activate with the serial number, but there is no need to re-register.

    While saving the Excise Invoice(created w.r.to Invoice) in J1IIN system is throwing the error:
    "Error in allocating Despatch serial number Interval not found Number object J_1IINTPR2
    Message no. 8I336"
    The Excise Group(say 99) was created.
    But the same is not reflecting in the drop down list of SNUM for maintaining the No.Range in the Object  J_1IINTPR2.
    Do the needful to resolve this issue.
    Needless to say helpful answers will be rewarded.

    IMG>Logistics general>Tax on Goods movements>India>Basic settings-->Maintain Excise groups
    Have you check all these check boxes
    1.Excise Inv during billing
    2.Create and Post Invsingle step                    
    3,Depot Excise invoice
    4.EI capture
    5.Diuty Different at GR
    6.EI create/RG23D selection
    7.Update RG1 at MIGO

    I am trying to save a commercial invoice and the setting allows to print the exicse invoice immediately. But on pressing the save button in VF01, update gets terminated.

    Please check whether the number range is maintained for the object or the number range might have exhausted

    The last update was 9.0.3 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Photoshop Elements
    The last supported Camera raw is ACR 6.5 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw
    Do you have a reason to update?

    I have ceated a Shipping cost document, account assignment is fully completed.
    While I am trying to transfer the shipping cost document, the following error message occurs in the log:

    Can any one please help through the hint on how to get rid of this?

    I too have run into this error message when attempting to transfer a Shipment Cost Document to FI/CO.
    It is obvious that this error message is not very descriptive so here is what I did in an effort to resolve:
    First, attempt to manually post an FI document using the same G/L Account Assignment used in the SCD that is throwing the error message "SE117:  General error during acceptance posting".  You can use FB01, FB60, ME21N and then enter a GR, etc. to verify that the account assignment is valid.
    What I discovered in my scenario is that the profit center I was using was blocked.  Once I used a valid G/L Account + Profit Center Combination the error went away and I was eventually able to transfer the SCD to FI/CO.

    First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

    We set up a SP 2010 site with several document libraries. Library A works fine only when I click on column default value settings I get the following error message:
    "configuring column based defaults is only allowed in document library lists"
    This list is a normal document library and all other settings work fine. If I create a new document library or go to the settings of document library B I don't see this problem and the feature works fine.
    How can I solve this problem within this library since I cannot delete the library and replace it by a new one.

    According to your post, my understanding is that
    when you clicked on column default value settings you got the error message.
    What are the column types in the library?
    It seems that some column types don't support default value settings.
    I recommend to create a new library with the same columns to check whether you can set
    default values.
    If so and the error message persists, please check the SharePoint ULS log to find more information about this error, the ULS log file is in the location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
    Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS

    There are 27 lines, of those 17 line items are batch managed and we have defined batches for all the line items.
    All items are non serial or batch managed.
    The error appears irrelevant to the doc...
    Any guess?? have any one seen such error ??
    Please come forward to share your view and let me get a solution.

  • Adobe Updates not downloading - available but "try again later" error with link to "serial number not qualifying"

    I just upgraded computers (PC w/Windows 8 64 bit) and I did a fresh install of my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (along with Bridge and Camera Raw).
    The install asked for serial numbers which I provided and the installation was a success - however, I can not view full resolution images, only thumbs
    in Bridge and I can not open RAW files from my Canon 5D Mark III (though, I can my files with the older Canon 7D).  I WAS able to view and work with
    the newer RAW files on the older computer.
    Under "Help", "Updates", it says they are available but after appearing to upload to my computers, I get this:

      Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update

    What gives?  It was a qualifying product a few months back.  Even if Adobe stopped supporting CS5 (???), I should still have access to past updates

    Apparently, Adobe has very little interest in it's past customers unless they shell out more cash.
    I have never seen such a move as this - to REMOVE support and older update links off the Web in an effort to force an upgrade.
    My tech support stated (after first stating I was simply out of luck) that he was graciously allowed to make an exception and provided me with a link to support that is strangely
    hidden and /or removed from public access.

    I encounter this error(refer below) while running the EAI Outbound Body proxy.I'm currently trying to do outbound web service with a third party who uses SSL.
    Base on oracle support I have followed on how to import the CA certs and also I have added this two parameters in my outbound body proxy.

    1) I have already check my inbound parameter do not have white spaces like this => 11223344
    2) I have added this double quatation in my HTTPCertAuthority because I suspected is required for Issuer with space value.
    3) When I try import from Siebel it put the cert into intermediate certificaiton tab but when I import to IE it went to other people tab. Is this expected ?
    The cert is working when I try import it to IE and when to this URL:https://Uknown/Uknown.asmx

  • Error during PDF post processing in HtmlToPDF

    I am using Web services interface to convert Html document to PDF. Works fine for simple html documents stored locally. However when using a remote html document (for example the one in the quickstart--http://www.adobe.com--I am getting an exception:
    ALC-PDG-16003-16003-000: com.adobe.livecycle.generatedpdf.client.ConversionException: ALC-PDG-016-003-An unknown/unexpected error occurred during PDF post-processing.
    I get the same error when trying this conversion from the Administration Console. I am using JBoss/turnkey. I do not have Adobe Acrobat running on the server computer.

    I am not finished checking but I did make some progress. Testing from html file located on the server machine, I use the url for file. For example if the file is named foo.html and it is located in directory c:\adata then the file url is
    file:///c:/adata/foo.html
    That works for me using adminui, and from calling the web service.
    The example in the quickstart ( converting the default page at
    http://www.adobe.com ) does not work for me just yet. Still get the post pdf processing error.
    If not doing so already, check the server log to see if any additional debug information is provided.
