Error during itunes download

I have a PC with Windows and I am trying to download iTunes so that I can manage the files on my iPod Nano. However, the download is interupted 3 times by a variety of errors:
"An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32".version="8.0.50727/6195." .publicKey Token="11fc8b3b911e18e3b" .processo rArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070002."***This error occurs during the Publishing product information, I click OK and it appears to continue downloading.
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privleges to start system services" ***This error occurs during the Status: Starting Services. I attempt to click Retry several times before clicking Ignore. It appears to continue downloading.
I recieve error #2 a second time and then the download stops.
What am I doing wrong? How can I get iTunes downloaded on my computer?
Thanks so much in advance.

if it helps at all...
I downloaded Quicktime seperately from iTunes and i got that with no problem and it worked just fine but i cant get iTunes at all
and i have follwed the instructions on the website about uninstalling everything but nothing seems to be working

ok so I was getting the IOS 7 update and when i got it, it had an error during the download. so now it says if i want it to put it in restore mode, if i do will my ipod loose everything and if it does will i get it back

I went back to iOS 7 and my backup file is restoring but when its done nothing is on my phone still and only takes 11-15 minutes to restore the backup instead of taking 25+ minutes like usual so I guess the backup is corrupted. How can I fix this?

  • During Itunes download for windows 7 64bit, error message says "Service Apple Mobile device" failed to start

During Itunes installation on my Windows 7 64 bit computer.. I get the following message which won't allow installation:
Service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
This occurred after an itunes update to my computer that produced a corrupted msvcr80.dll file. So I deleted Itunes and reinstalled.

Redo the install, following the below procedure.   However, when you re-install Itunes,  right click and run the install as administrator.   For Win 7, I think you have to hold down the shift key when you right click and then "run as administrator" will be an option.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Error during iTunes 10 installation - iPod Service failed to start

    Hi Everyone,
I am getting this error during installation of iTunes 10(Windows XP).
+*"Service (iPod Service)failed to start.Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services."*+
*Can any of you please help?* I ignored it first and continued with the installation. Then tried to update iphone to iOS 4.1 which crashed. I had to go to Apple store to get my iphone restored. I am having trouble installing itunes and cannot restore data from backup.
I tried uninstalling itunes and deleted all itunes data as suggested by the guy at the Apple store. Still not working. Will appreciate if someone can help resolve this error. Thanks.

I just got off the phone with Apple tech support. The problem with that iPod Service is a problem with XP Service Pack 3, but can be fixed this way:
    1. Right click on "My Computer", select "Properties"
    2. Click on the Advanced tab.
    3. in the Startup and Recovery section, click the Settings button.
    4. Click the Edit byutton to edit your boot.ini file in notepad.
    5. Look for "/noexecute=" in the file and change the word after the equals to "optin" (sorry - I don't remember what the original setting was anymore).
    6. Save the file, close notepad, click the OK button on Startup and Recovery window, then reboot.
The warning message about the iPod Service should stop. Also, this helps with iPhones that are not recognized by Windows or iTunes after an install fails.

  • ERROR 499- iTunes Download

Okay, so almost two weeks ago I bought the new Rise Against album off of iTunes ( I have a Toshiba laptop, and I am using windows 8.1 and everything is up to date) and I paid for everything and all was fine EXCEPT FOR ERROR 499 and the fact that I am unable to download the song "The Eco-Terrorist In Me". I have done everything I have been able to find on the web and have contacted apple with no luck, just a credit to buy a song ( and I was told I could buy the song that won't download) and I still cannot.  The song will still not download and I'm am beyond ****** off right now.
Everything is correct so far: my connection is fine, Kaspersky Parent Control IS NOT EVEN ON, I am not running any proxys or anything of that sort and I am at a loss to what to do.
I hope someone can help me. I just want my song

  • Error with iTunes download. Can anyone help?

I tried installing the latest version of itunes and after being told that it had successfully installed, I tried to run the program and was greeted with the following message from itunes:
"Entry point not found. The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia. dll"
I clicked 'ok' and got another error message which said:
"itunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127)"
I have tried un-installing and re-installing a few times as well as trying to download in a Firefox browser rather than internet explorer. No luck.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • TS3297 error 8003 iTunes download

I downloaded some music on my iPad which loaded successfully but only half the album appears in iTunes on my iMac.  Whenever I try and download I keep getting the same error message which is that it has stopped (err = 8003).  I've checked my access to secure sites, I've done various things but nothing seems to allow the rest of this album to download on my Mac.  Any tips???

Doublechecking ... you've tried the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document?

  • 24" iMac regularly locks up during iTunes downloads

Older model: 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, Nvidia 8800GS video, 4GB RAM, 750GB HDD.
If I download, say, 10+ files in iTunes (podcasts, apps, even an album) there is a high likelihood of my entire computer freezing. I am still able to move the mouse and highlight application windows, but cannot force-quit or do anything other than power cycle the system.
This system shipped with Leopard and had the problem. I have since purchased and clean-installed Snow Leopard, upgraded to iTunes 10, etc. I have also set iTunes to download multiple files serially as opposed to in parallel; this slightly reduced the chances of it happening, but it is still frequent.
I do have what I would consider to be a large amount of both music and apps. Any ideas?

    Yes, no kidding.

  • Lost wifi connection during iTunes download

I frequently got my wifi network dropped when I try to download iOS updates or apps updates through iTune. I would lose all network connection despite the wifi signal is still strong. I need to turn off the wifi on my iMac and then turn it back on to restore the network access. I tried to switch off the antivirus scan but that didn't help neither. Does anyone have a clue?
    Thanks a lot!

You might be better off posting this on a hardware or networking forum.  Even if your wi-fi signal is strong somebody else's may be stronger and messing up your reception.  It could even be you doing it to yourself if you have too many wireless things in your house all using the same channel.  Occasionally somebody new moves into our neighborhood.  I use a wireless network provide and it only needs somebody moving into an apartment across the street and setting up a router to default channel 6 and bang goes my wireless connectivity (I can't reconfigure the provider's node channels)

  • HTML error during active download

Anyone having an issue with HTML buttons not working during an active download?  I called AppleCare about this and they couldn't answer me.  When I have a long download in progress that may be several MB or a GB in size....all the HTML buttons and scrips don't work in Safari 7.0  Perfect example would be what stops working is when hovering over the main picture on apple.com there are arrows that appear on either side to advance to the next picture or the main news stories on yahoo.com to advance to the next picture / story.  As soon as the download completes, everything returns back to normal.  I tried Firefox and everything works fine, so it's definitely an issue with Safari.  I just want to check also though if this is something specific with a MacBook Air since I just purchased it.  My last Mac was a MacBook Pro and I got rid of it before Mavericks was released so I have nothing to compare.

Just in case anyone is wondering the problems are....
In this pic it's the arrow that appears to the right of the iphone
In this pic it's the arrow in blue that's lit up next to / below right of the UPS picture
Or here on the Apple page in the Mac tab.  The icons at the top are blank and won't appear.

  • HT1725 error during song download?

I download a song and there was distortion in the song.  I need to re download it.  How do I do that?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken files from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
