Error during Java Stack upgrade with SAPINST Tool for Netweaver 04

Hi,
I have updated all the ABAP stack support packages fine. But when i try to upgrade the Java Stack for the BW server using the SAPINST tool, i received an error in the 17th step "Starting J2EE Engine".
The error log says:
CJS-20057 Starting Java engine DVEBMGS05 of SAP system <SID> failed:
after 165 seconds the state of the engine changed from "Starting" to "Stopped".

I tried to follow the instructions in note 1269960, but the enhancement spot
CLASSIFICATION_TOOL was already active. I activated it again and reran the phase
but got the same error. Also, I couldn't implement the note using SNOTE because it is
the middle of the upgrade process.
I also found the following long text in ST22
"Internal error during syntax check: ("//bas/710_REL/src/krn/gen/scsymb.c#11"
Processing had to be terminated because an internal error
occurred when generating the ABAP/4 program
"CL_CLS_BADI_CHARACTERIZATION==CP".
The internal system error cannot be fixed by ABAP means only."
I am on a 64 bit System with CentOS Linux. 8 GB RAM, 250 GB HD with 20 GB free space.
So far, I could not find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Victor,
Go to SM37 and put in the username as DDIC and see the job log.
Also check Sm50 and see whether you have BTC processes available.
Last but not the least check your filesystem space usage too.

'A file or directory doesn't exist' error during java stack update

Dear All,
I've done a fresh installation of solution manger system on IBM iseries box (OS400 & DB2 combo).
As part of post installation activity, I've updated the kernel patch, updated the ABAP stack to sp4, and am currently doing the java stack update.
I'm struck with one error. The log file shows:

Hi,
This is an easy solution:
From the OS command line, do WRKLNK, go to /usr/sap/SLMS/global/j2eeclient, at the top where it shows the directory, do a copy on this. Then at the command line type MD, do F4, paste the directory name in the first line, then after j2eeclient add /META-INF'
IMportant*** Make sure the full directory name is in single quotes.*
*On the next 2 lines change INDIR to RWX. Then press enter and re-run your job. If you have any problems let me know.

Error during determn of backend follow-on doc. for shopping cart

I am using Classic Scenario in SRM 4.0 and R/3 ECC5.
When I am making PO in SOCO against approved shopping cart I am facing following error and PO is not getting created.
"Error during determn of backend follow-on doc. for shopping cart XXXXXXXXXX"
I have Checked up following :
1. Product Cat defined in backend and in Org plan attribute
2. Object for Prod Cat Vs. PGR defined in SPRO
3. Doc type in R/3 attribute defiend in BSA attribute of Org Plan.
Still problem is coming.
Any clue form some one.

We are using the classic scenario RFx process to create a backend PO from the bidding engine after the bid is accepted..
it alwayz throws up the error SC/ Local Error..

we just started debugging from the web by breaking it at META_BAPI_DISPATCH and still looking into it..
but in the mean while just want to know if this is more a config issue or and RFC connection issue..
could you forward me any OSS notes if any regarding this issue..

No profile with entry tool for task list QP01

Hi all,
I am trying to upload Inspection Plan through LSMW. When I reach the Create batch Input step, I encounter an error saying No profile with entry tool for task list Q 141 2 in session 5_INSP_PLAN. How do I fix this?
Please help

Solution is to check on config for Inspection Planning for QM.
SPRO > QM > Quality Planning > Inspection Planning > Maintain Profile for Default Values (OQ84)
Entry tool must be checked and Profile field in LSMW must correspond with Inspection Plan Profile

SOAP: error occured: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TE

Hi,
We are implementing an XI scenario as follows: Mail Adapter->XI->SOAP Receiver.
Basically, we pass the XML File attachment from the Mail Adapter through XI to the SOAP Adapter. However, we keep getting the following error:
SOAP: error occured: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML
Any ideas on where we could look to fix this problem?

most of errors like that are 401 (unauthorized), 403 (forbidden), 404 (not found) and so on. To be sure, check the message content that comes back from the webservice, in the Message Monitoring.
Obs: To visualize sync messages payload in Message Monitoring, you'll have to set the Messaging.syncMessageRemover.removebody parameter to false (default is true) in SAP XI AF Messaging service, in the Visual Administrator.

First check you port numbers as per error, that port is not use.
The port number error_con is not valid.
Also check this sap note

Then also check this link with same problem, suggestion is replacing the default kernel from DVD with later one.

Hi Johnny,
You need to undeploy the sap.com~spnego.cfg.wd component using SDM
Then retry the patching of LM-TOOL patching
Also follow the SAP Note

Homgeneous System Copy with Java and DB2 with database tools.

Hello,
we have an single java stack (netweaver 2004s) and tried a system copy with database tools.
Source System: DP2, dp2adm, db2dp2, sapdp2db
Target System: SP2, sp2adm, db2sp2, ???
We followed the documentation "System copy for SAP systems based on sap netweaver 2004s SR1 JAVA. We exported the SDM on the source system made a redirected restore with db tools and tried to install a new target system.
During the import in the target system using sapinst we get in the
phase run java migration tool kit the following error message.
Caused by:
com.sap.engine.frame.core.configuration.ConfigurationException: Error
while connecting to DB.

Caused by: com.ibm.db2.jcc.a.SqlException: Connection authorization
failure occurred. Reason: userid revoked.
What I didn't understand is, that in the documenation it is mentioned, that you have to use the same java database connect user. But during the installation of the target system (SP2) I cannot change the java database connect user to sapdp2db. I'm only allow to enter sapsp2db. That might then cause the connection problem.

Error in JAVA WAS upgrade from SP09 to SP16

I'm trying to upgrade to SP16 support package stack for XI. My underlying database is MSSQL ver 8 oner windows 2003 server edition.
I'm having a problem installing Java WebAs patches using SAPINST.exe. There were 23 steps to be executed but the installation got stuck at step 17(deploy online). I have left the installation for 12 hours but nothing happended, not even an error message was displayed.
Before the installation started, in the prerequisite checker step it give a message saying that the swap space condition was not met and that 10240 mb swap space is recommended. It anaways gave me an option to ignore the message and continue with installation.
My guess is that step 17 did not work due to less swap space.
If anybody can help me to increase the swap space i would really appreciate that.
