Error during sign in on Home Page of Acrobat Reader DC

When I try to sign in on the Home Page, I get an error message saying "A network error occurred while attempting to sign in" I tried to get help through Live Chat and they sent me the link here.

Hi elwaterman,
The error message you mention comes up whenever Reader does not have access to a working internet connection. Since you are able to access the cloud.acrobat.com domain from within the browser, it means that your internet connection is fine. This leaves out only one probable reason that Reader specifically is somehow unable to access the internet connection.
Can you please confirm that the firewall of your organization is not blocking internet access to Reader or probably a local firewall configuration on your machine is doing this?
If not it would be great if you could share the logs for this failure. Please follow the steps below to retrieve the required log:
Download and install Fiddler from http://d585tldpucybw.cloudfront.net/docs/default-source/fiddler/fiddler4setup.exe -- This tools captures internet calls & shows the success failure request/responses for the same.
Once installed, configure Fiddler to decrypt HTTPS traffic:
Launch Fiddler & go to Tools >> Fiddler Options >> HTTPS.
Here, check the "Decrypt HTTPS traffic" checkbox. [Official Documentation]
In the Trust FiddlerRoot Certificate dialog, click on Yes & then Yes again in the security confirmation dialog. [Official Documentation]
Launch Reader & click on the Sign In button in the right end of the top bar.
Once you get the error message above, please go to Fiddler & see if there is a call for https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/ & https://adobeid-na1.services.adobe.com.
If there is, right click on the same & select "Save >> Selected Sessions >> as Text...".
Please mail the saved logs to [email protected] & [email protected]

  • Signing into Google home page requires me to empty Firefox cache and cookies and restart Firefox. Any way to avoid this?

When I sign into my home page (Google), I often get a blank page. I then have to empty the Firefox cache and cookies, restart Firefox, and then when I go to the Google home page, I have to sign in with my ID and password. I have checked the box that says keep me signed in. This does not happen with Safari.
I am running a Mac with OS Lion.

Hi Claudio,  Thanks for your assistance.  I'm still confused.  When I click on this site it tells me: To view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, CLICK PAGE, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.  I do not see "Page" on this list.  There is a "pace"... though.

  • Can I change the order or rotate pages in acrobat reader?

This may be a silly question... I actually own & use Pro, so I don't use Reader. But my grandmother has the reader and wants to know if she can change the order of pages (and rotate pages) in acrobat reader. Or does she need to buy acrobat standard?
    Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, she can't with just the free Reader. But she can ask you to do it for her...

    Hi All,
    Thanks for all your help.
Seems I already found out the issue.
Since we are using "Personal Home Page" for the system profile option "Self Service Personal Home Page Mode" I checked oracle note and found out
that 11i did not support this mode. Maybe this is the problem that is why we are getting page cannot be displayed error when only 1 responsibility is active.
The way to fix this, is to use mode 'Framework Only' instead of 'Personal Home Page' as Oracle are phasing out mod_plsql based UI and it will not be present in future releases. No maintenance is being performed (i.e. bug fixes) to the mod_plsql based UI technology.
Please check this note for more clearer explanation:
Is The 'Personal Home Page' Mode Supported In Oracle 11i Applications? [ID 368628.1]
Again, thank you for your help!

  • "Could not deserialize session data" error during sign out

    Hello,
I have an application deployed on WLS 8.1, one instance, no clustering. The application EAR contains 1 web module and 2 ejb modules. When I try to sign out(I use Single Sign-On for Multiple Applications - a sign out application deployed separately) I receive the attached error.
Notes: my session is serializable - I did a test that serialize and deserialize the session and I have no errors.
Q: Why does WLS try to deserialize the session data during sign out? I don't use any session persistance/replication.
The error ClassNotFoundException from my point of view is normal: UsersTableModel(from web modile) is not visible from the Application Classloader.
    Here is the error:
    <> <BEA-100028> <Could not deserialize session data.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: xxx.controller.actions.UsersTableModel: This error could indicate that a component was deployed on a cluster member but not other members of that cluster. When OptimisticSerialization is turned on, WebLogic server does not serialize-deserialize context and request attributes upon getAttribute(name) when a request gets dispatched across servlet contexts. This means you will need to make sure that the attributes common to Web applications are scoped to a common parent classloader (they are application-scoped) or placed in the system classpath if the two Web applications do not belong to the same application.
When OptimisticSerialization is turned off (which is the default) WebLogic Server does serialize-deserialize context and request attributes upon getAttribute(name) to avoid the possibility of ClassCastExceptions. The value of OptimisticSerialization can also be overridden for specific Web applications by setting the optimistic-serialization value in weblogic.xml.

    Hi garryw,
What version of Reader are you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows? Do you get the same error when you try to print other PDF files, or is the problem specific to one PDF?
For starters, please try the solutions listed in this thread: Re: There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat /Reader. If it is running ,please exit and try again.(0:104)

  • Synchronising screens of Pages and Acrobat Reader (Parallel scrolling)

Is there a way to synchronise scrolling between two applications (Pages on one side, Acrobat reader on the other) so that with one mouse I scroll down the both simultaneously ?
I'm reading a PDF and reading in the same time the same text on Pages.
    Thx
    D.
PS : my apologies for my englih - French guy talking here.

All your problems seem to stem from the PDFs that you are making from Bridge.  What you are describing should be perfectly possible, but the fact that Bridge doesn't want to make a PDF with more than 400 photos and it all goes downhill from there makes me suspect Bridge.
Here's a plugin that may help?  Looks pretty cheap for what it does.
Apart from that I'd try to clean up the PDFs that Bridge is producing if Indesign doesn't like them.  One way would be to print to a new PDF, after you've combined them as necessary.
As to the last pronlem you mention, where it forces you to place on page 226, have you tried creating a blank page 227 first, before you try placing?
