Error during Stock Transport Order plant assignment to vendor

Dear All ,
       I am configuring Inter Compay STO . For that I have created a Vendor(Plant 1000) for a company code 1010 and trying to assign Plant 1000 which belongs to Company code 1000.
      But System is giving error Plant 1000  is already assigned to Vendor 491000.But when I want to display this vendor this vendor is not in the system . This error is coming in production server. We have been using SAP since April 2009 and we have SAP best practices implemented . I remember this vendor number was SAP Best practice vendor for STO which is no more in database.Same error is coming for assignment of plant 1010 also for company code 1010 which is also best practice company code.But for Plant belonging to Company code 1020 no error which was configured by us .
       Please guide me what I have to do to rectify this error.

you probably entered this 491000 vendor number in customizingin development client and then transported the customizing to production. So your table T001W has this development master data number in the vendor number field for your plant.
We usually create the vendors and customers in production and transport them then with ALE scenario into the DEV system to have the master data there with the same number when we start customizing STO scenarios.
You have to erase the wrong vendor number from T001w with table maintenance tools (if such is allowed in your production system) then you can assign the correct vendor.

    We dont want to load this component to inventory. Ideally we look for a posting like the following during STO delivery.
    Cost =100
    Octroi=10
    accounting entry during goods transfer:
    Debit receiving plant - 100
    Credit issuing plant - 100
    debit octroi Expense -10
    credit octroi payable -10
    Accounting Entry during Octroi agent payment:
    Debit octroi Payable -10
    Credit Octroi agent - 10
    Is this entry possible in SAP.
    If not is there any logical reason why it is not possible.
    If possible how?

    In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
    Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
    You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions for Octroi Charges in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08 and also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Determination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
    Octroi Clearing A/c - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)

  • Commitment Item error in Stock transport order

    Hi all
    I have a stock transport order (STO) for a material non valuated in both sending and receiving plants.
    While creation , there is an error with respect to completion of an "committment item" *.
    If I input  the committment item in  STO create transaction in R3 , the STO is  saved  (permitting blank account assignment for the STO item  as intended)  and there is no further issue till post goods issue in sending plant or GR in receiving plant.
    The problem is however that this STO is triggered from APO and transferred via CIF to R3 while there is no chance to input the commitment item. This results into a CIF error with the STO not created  in both R3 and APO.
    Is there a way I could bypass this "committment stuff" in this situation?

    The posted document contains at least one company code in which Funds Management, Cash Budget Management, or Project Cash Management is active. Therefore you must enter a commitment item in all involved company codes.
    Procedure
    Enter a commitment item.
    If you cannot enter a commitment item, check with your system administrator that your account assignment derivation is adjusted so that the system can automatically derive a commitment item from another account assignment, or from the G/L or cost element.   "

    Did you try using derivation rule using FMDERIVE in case funds management is active.
    Please also refer to the link below which guides on the item category to be assigned in Commitment item.

    at the time of doing migo am getting the following error
    Goods receipt not possible for delivery 80000012: error code 4
    Message no. M7865
    Diagnosis
    The goods receipt for the delivery cannot be posted.
    The error according to the error code:
    1. The delivery does not exist.
    2. The delivery type is unknown.
    3. The delivery is not goods issue posted.
    4. There are no delivery items.
    5. The receiving plant could not be determined.
    6. The delivery items have already been goods receipt posted or contain zero quantities.
    7. Goods receipt(effect)movement type to goods issue movement type could not be determined.
    8. It is not currently possible to block the delivery.
    Procedure
    Error code 1      : Check your entry.
    Error code 2,3,4,6: Check the delivery and its document flow.
    Error code 5      : The delivery must be related to a purchase order or
                        the customer must be a retail business.
    Error code 7      : Check the settins for your movement types.

    Hi All,
    When doing a stock transport order, it is saying there is no inventory available for XXXXXXXXx, when we do have inventory.  We have been shipping these and now all of a sudden there is a problem.
    Please let me know, what could be possible reasons for this message.

    Please check the following points for the material :
    1. Whether you have availability check in place during STO creation and Saving.
    2. If yes, can you check what are stock it going to consider , whether you have considered open STO yet to be delivered.
    3. on a micro level just check whether the Sloc enterd in STO is the correct.

  • Rounding off error between stock transport order and GR (Quantity)

    Hello,
    I would appreciate your help in an issue. Our customer uses stock transfer order in which a conversion rule was set. Since the transport company requires another unit, the purchase order is created in ton but MIGO is done with Megawatt Hour. SAP takes into consideration only three digits after comma. Therefore, a rounding off error occurs which can only be seen in MB52 but not in the transitsaldo MB5T. The difference or the missing quantity (i.e. 0,001 MH which is 0,0000xxx TON) can not be found and thus a GR can not be posted in MIGO either.
    If you have any idea how to solve this or if there is any OSS message on this, please post on this thread. I am waiting for your comments.

    The note you suggested is very useful. I need to download the correction. When I use movement types
    557/558, I got the error that the transit saldo exceeded xxx MWH.
    PO = TON
    GI = 2,159 MWH
    GR = 2,157 MWH which corresponds to 0,459 TON
    Conversion rule= 1 TON = 4,7 MWH
    Do you know how to book 0,002 MWH away with these scrapping mov.types? This quantity is missing and is not shown in MB5T because this list functions with TON as far as I figured it out.

  • Problem with stock transport order account assignment

    hi gurus,
    I've a situation in ECC 6.0 environment in regard to STO that I hope you can shed some lights.
    We're doing an upgrade from 4.6 to ECC6 and I'm doing some preliminary tests in the new box and I'm getting KI235 error message "Account xxx requires an assignment to a CO object", when I try to posts goods issue from the delivery document.  When I assign a dummy cost center to the cost element, I can post the document and I get a CO and SPL accounting documents.  In 4.6 there is no accounting document generated as the result of goods issue and this is what client wants. I've checked the release notes and OSS as well checked the setting for automatic account assignment in MM but I couldn't find any difference.  I need to add that the material that I use is non-valuated but there is an accounting view for the material with valuation class.  I'm just baffled that the goods issue for the same materials in 4.6 works without producing accounting documents but it doesn't work in ECC.
    Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    If the material is non valuated then the accounting view should not be present, by mistakenly may be you have maintained the accounting view for the material type & maintined the accounting view in Material master.
    If you dont want the accounting document generated, then you need to first de-select the accounting view for the material type & make the material as non valuted by removing the flag on Value update for the Plant.
    now create anew material & test the transaction, if you want to use the sam eold material then make the Moving average price of the material to zero first & then change the Price control to S. & Test the transaction.

    Dear Shakthi,
    Possible in SAP!!
    Create a separate condition type for Octroi. Mark this Condition as a statistical in your pricing procedure to avoid loading into Inventory.
    For payment to Octroi Agent / Vendor, for above condition type use Accrual, I mean Provision. (With the aid of the account key, the system can post amounts to certain types of accruals accounts.)

  • Stock transport order between storage locations and assignment category type E not in MRP

    Hello Gurus,
    I have a stock transport order between 2 storage location which belongs to the same plant. Besides the stock transport order is allocated to a sales order (account assigment category E). When I run the MD03, the system take into account the quantity of the stock transport order as a future entry and this is wrong. I need that the MRP has not into account the stock transport order as an entry.
    As an important information, If I modify the stock transport order removing the account asignment category E (sales order), then the MRP doesn't take into account it, so this is correct.
    Could anybody tell me how to get it?

    Laura,
    It is normal that MRP will consider an STO as a receipt element; this is basic planning.  It is unclear to me why you think you do not want it to do so, but I will assume you have some logical reason.
    Contrary to what some others may have suggested, changing the scope of check for availability checking has no effect on which elements are considered for MRP.  MRP is a completely separate functionality from Availability Check.
    For Location > Location STOs (within a plant), then, you normally have the receipt element of the STO in the destination storage location, and the requirements element of an equal amount in the source storage location.  Net of these two elements is zero, unless you have already issued the STO at the source location.
    Changing the Account assignment from "E" means that the STO will not be relevant for your Sales order (in other words, when you receive this STO into the destination storage location, it cannot be used for your sales order).  In a general MTO scenario, it also means that the proceeds of this STO (the stock you received) cannot be used for ANY sales orders.
    One way that some people make an STO 'not relevant' for MRP is to alter the destination storage location such that it is not relevant for MRP.  You can change the MRP relevancy of the storage location in MM02 > MRP4 tab

    The settings for Delivery type for STO is maintained using the following path:
    Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Set up Stock Transport Order>Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule . Here you assign the Delivery type to Stock Transport order (with reference of Suplying Plant)
    For creation of STO for delivery creation use T-code- VL04. Enter the Relevant Shipping Point and the Delivery Creation Date. Also tick mark the option Purchase order. If you already have a Purchase order enter the no.
    System will show the details of the STO here by using the Main Menu > Delivery> Create Deliveries you can create the Delivery against the STO. Then by using the VL02n option you can do the Picking / PGI for the Delivery.
