Error During TV Episode Download - Err = -3253

I just purchased 4 episodes of a TV show. Episodes, 1,3 and 4 downloaded correctly. Episode 2 got through about 2% and then stopped with an error message.
"There was a problem downloading [show]. The network connection was reset." After clicking on OK in the error dialouge, the episode shows as status of:
"stopped(err = -3253)"
I've searched all of the knowledge base and don't find anything related to that error.
Got any ideas?

Look for a folder called "Downloads" in your iTunes Music folder. If there is such a folder, look for files that would be the partial download and delete those, so that the download starts over from the beginning. Then try again using the "Check for Purchases" command under the iTunes Store menu (Advanced menu in iTunes 6 and earlier).
If that doesn't work, contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them.
Hope this helps.

  • Error 8006 during tv episode download

I just spent 2 hours downloading an episode of a tv show from iTunes only to have an 8006 error pop up in the last 3 minutes. What does this mean? Did I just waste my time and $2.99 for nothing? I stopped the HD download and was only downloading the standard version. This is my first download and first time posting here, so I apologize if I don't have enough information.

  • Errors while downloading purchases 'stopped (err = -3253)'.

I am hoping someone here can offer some help to this problem I am having.
I have had my Mac for over three years and through out this time I have purchased and downloaded a lot of films and music with absolutly no problem.  For over a month now I have been unable to download getting the error 'stopped (err = -3253)'.
I have been intouch with the iTunes store team who say there is no issue there end and have suggested a few things to try but nothing works.  They claim there is a problem with my internet connection.  However I fail continiously to download any large film (small file like song can download with the odd error) to my mac yet I can download the same to my Iphone, stream to my apple TV without fault.  I can also stream internet radio to my mac with iTunes.  I can also use all other internet services on any device without issue including my mac.  I only downloaded some software (about 6.5GB) a few days ago.
Based on this I feel the fault is with iTunes but cannot find the cause.  Steps I have tried include:
    1. Complete shutdown of everything in house.
    2. Use of Ethernet over WiFi.
    3. Creating a new libary.
    4. Signing in and out of iTunes Store.
    5. Added Mac to DMZ on Router
    6. Disabelling Firewall
    7. Changing DNS to various others aswell as my ISP's
I am a little lost what I can check from here.  I plan to visit a friends to attempt to download on their internet connection to rule mine out completly and will update here how this goes.  In the mean time perhaps some of the good people here may have some suggestions.
Thank you all in advance and I hope this will help anyone else encountering the same issues.

Hi, my name is Ralph and I been having this problem for about a month now.   I already contacted apple senior tech about the error code 3253 . They went through all the trouble shooting they had to find out that my computer was ok.  They escalated this to the engineers at iTunes.  I finally got an answer from them after they did the trouble shooting and had to send them a file from my computer while iTunes was downloading and error out .   Listen carefully.    It's not your computer or router or anything.   The problem is at iTunes and there right now investigating this problem.   So relax and hopefully they fix it soon.   I hope this has help you out. :)

  • Itunes: Fatal Error During Installation (it wont download at all) HELP!

Yesterday my iTunes (7.3.1) was working with no problems then the iTunes + Quicktime upgrade came up telling me to download the newer version but I didnt want to download it yet untill after i restarted my computer so I exited out of both the upgrade screen and iTunes then restarted the computer and when I tried to open up iTunes (after restarting), a little window came up saying:
    +*Preparing to install...*+
Then after a minute or two it said: *+Please wait while Windows configures iTunes+*
Then another window pops up saying:
    *+Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesMiniPlayer.Resources\fi.lproj\iTunesMiniPlayerLocalized.dll. +*
*+Verify that you have access to that directory.+*
and I have no idea what that means so i closed it then a pop up shows saying: *+Fatal Error During Installation.+*
so i deleted iTunes, Quicktime, iPod and everything i could (that my computer would let me) that had to do with Apple and restarted my computer then tried to download iTunes again but now when its reisntalling it says
    *+Error writing to file:+* +*C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\disnoted.exe.*+
+*Verify that you have access to that directory.*+
Then after this i went to the folder
    +*C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\disnoted.exe.*+
and made sure that Read Only wasn't checked but everytime i go to uncheck it and click Apply and OK it doesnt stay it just goes right back to being checked...because when u click OK the window goes away so i immediately opened it back up to see if changed but it was filled again
WHAT DO I DO?!?!? please can someone help me
The details for my computer are:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Professional Version 2002
    Service Pack 2

    if it helps at all...
I downloaded Quicktime seperately from iTunes and i got that with no problem and it worked just fine but i cant get iTunes at all
and i have follwed the instructions on the website about uninstalling everything but nothing seems to be working
...is there any possible way that anybody can help me out with this.
any help that anyone can offer is very greatly appreciated,
    Please & Thank You.

  • HT4943 Error during download - I keep getting this error message when installing or updating apps

I subscribed to wired magazine and I am trying to download the first mag, however I keep getting an error message stating "error during download, try again later". I also get an error message when trying to resume paused updating of apps. I've tried turning ipad2 off and then on again but this doesn't  work. Can anyone help?

There are all basic troubleshooting steps that have worked for other users in the past that were having problems downloading and updating apps. YMMV .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

    Hi,
Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
    It says:
    "NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

I am getting an error when trying to download  the new Game of Thrones shows. The error is err = -61 You do not have the privilege to make changes. (err = -61) you do not have the privilege  to make changes. I have not had this problem before

    Solution:
    Open Disk Utility.
Select your external hard disk and run a “verify” on it. After a few minutes (depending on the size of your drive), you should be good to go. You don’t need to run a “repair” on it... (at least I didn’t have to). See photo for reference.
This should fix the permissions issue, because on my Mac running Mountain Lion I was unable to edit the permissions in the get info dialog window even after "unlocking" the drive.

  • The server gave an error during download: 500 Internal Server Error

Does this mean the servers are overloaded? I've installed Lion on two of my MACs. Can't get past the "The server gave an error during download: 500 Internal Server Error" message on my third system. Anyone?

It's NOT a problem with your computer - the Lion Server is being slammed with downloads and is at max capacity. (Per an Apple Rep)
You can either wait until later, or for those of you like me that don't want to wait, you can keep hitting Retry until it goes through.  Just like calling a phone line that's busy - eventually you'll click Retry at the same time as someone else's download finishes and the download will start.  (I only had to click Retry about 75 times )

  • Error: "We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed." I don't see what I've done wrong?

When I try to submit my podcast I receive the error "We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed." I don't understand what's wrong. My feed is "http://sleuthcast.tumblr.com/rss".

Your episode media file is hosted on Dropbox, and you've evidently placed it in the area intended for your own storage, judging by the error page which it leads to.
Dropbox does do webspace hosting, though this isn't what you are using: but you would be advised not to use Dropboc - it really isn't suitable for podcast media files. There have been numerous problems with it reported on these forums.
You should host your media files on an ordinary website server. You need to check before committing to one that it can handle 'byte range requests' - this is the method used by iPhone for accessing these files (by requesting part of it at a time rather than the whole thing) and it's mandatory for being in the Store. If the service you are considering using doesn't confirm they can handle this (and I might add the Dropbox doesn't) you will need to go somewhere else.

  • Adobe content viewer "error during download, please try again"

I'm experiencing some strange behavior in the new version of adobe content viewer.
When Launching the viewer app for the first time on an ipad I will get the login screen, enter credentials and then be presented with the home page, with an Icon for my one published folio, HOWEVER:
My icon is missing on the home page
When I click the folio to start a download, the icon in that window is missing.
I click download in the upper right and reciever the following error: "error during download, please try again"
I noticed that in the upper left, my viewer app still says "Sign IN" not sign OUT like it normally would.
If I hit sign IN in the upper leftt, the icon previews then load, and the app will download properly.
Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to be new with this latest release.
    Thank you.

Here is the screen after I enter the Login once. note the "sign in" in the upper left, and the blank icon, yet it pulls the folio title in fine.
This is after you click the above blank icon.
And this is the error after clicking download. presumeably because the account isn't "logged in"

  • Persistent Error During Download message

I realize this issue has been posted multiple times in the past, but we've been experiencing it consistently for the past several days. I've checked the DPS status site and also scoured the Forums to see if anyone else recently posted something.
Using the ACV, and when trying to download updates to a folio, we continually receive the error message: Error During Download, Please resume your download later." Getting this error message on iPads running iOS 5, 6 and 7. Updating content within the folio producer works fine, as does previewing a local version.
We've tried signing out and signing back in, deleting the ACV and reinstalling, nothing works.
We're of course under a deadline and unable to have remote staff proof a final version of our folio.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

We recently completed an AWS migration which has resulted in a number of intermittent outages and download issues. These outages haven't affected folios published to the Folio Producer Service—just the acrobat.com folios used for testing and sharing. Please bear with us while we resolve these issues.
As noted, the workaround for downloading content is to publish a folio as Free and Private. However, this workaround doesn't work for shared folios.
We'll provide more details when we have them. Check the status page (http://status.adobedps.com/) for additional details and updates.
