Error: "End of tape reached, last clip was not captured."

I am trying to import a clip that I have successfully captured in the past.
*The Tape:*
Vis.TC, Keycode, and Audio TC.
*Batch Capture settings:*
Use logged clip settings, no handles, dv ntsc 48khz, 29.97, 24bit, 720x480 etc.
*The Deck:*
Sony DVCAM DSR-11 deck, the same one I used for importing last time.
*The Device Control Presets:*
Apple Firewire Basic, Time source: DV Time, 29.97, Non-Drop Frame.
I imported the telecine log and selected the clip I wanted to capture. I hit batch capture. Click ok to the batch capture settings. The deck winds to the spot on the tape, capture starts, after 10-12 seconds or so I get this message...
Error: "End of tape reached, last clip was not captured."

Its clearly not the end of the tape...why is it doing this? How do I fix it? Any help is greatly appreciate.

Just to get you started, the DSR-11 firewire control protocol should be Firewire NTSC not Firewire NTSC Basic.
Also, are you sure the tape is NDF timecode?

Batch Capture Error: Timecode Error: End of Tape Reached

I have been having issues doing batch capture with my JVC VS30U. I logged all my clips on the fly and did the entire tape, so the OUT point of one clip is the same as the IN point of the next clip. When I attempt to batch capture it gives this error between every clip.
I have to hit retry, sometimes more than once, in order for the deck to properly cue and FCP to start the digitize. I don't know if this is a weird pre-roll issue, or something else, but it completely defeats the purpose of a batch if I have to sit here and hit retry after each clip.
There are no TC breaks, and obviously its not really the end of the tape. I've read where people have similar problems, but didn't find a solution. Have already trashed prefs, but to no avail. Using FCP 5.0.4 with OS 10.4.3 and said JVC deck via firewire.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I don't know the deck but a simple test would be to move a couple of i/o points so they are not adjacent. Or test with a single, longer clip and break it up into subclips.
Tell us what you've tried so we don't waster your time and ours with fruitless suggestions.
Errors displayed by FCP are usually irrelevant and rarely helpful.

MAXDB backup failed with error: end of file reached -917

Hi I am performing a complete data backup for a database which is about 230 GB.
Previously it had run successfully for many days, but since yesterday, I began to receive such error:
Error: end of file reached(-917)
The backup stopped itself after running for 1 hour, and from backup history I just saw above error message.
I also had a look at the logs, and found below, could someone help me look into this issue?

Thank you so much for your reply. But I've checked that my F drive still have more than 480GB free space, so the space should not be the problem.
And I've just run the backup once again, this time it keeps running for 2 hours, and then failed again with the same error.
Is there other possible reasons of this error?

Message "End of Tape Reached" after 30 sec of import

I am using an Canon XL-H1 camcorder shooting HDV. For the first 10 tapes it imported into FCE flawlessly. Then, suddenly, it will import only about 10 to 30 sec of tape and then display the dread message, "End of Tape Reached". If I try importing into iMovie, there are no problems. I have tried deleting preferences, re-installing Final Cut Express, but nothing seems to work. There is lots of space on my hard drives. Any ideas?

Computer is Apple Pro 2 X 2.8 Ghz Quad Core processors, 6 GB memory, 320, 500, 500,500GB Hard Drives with 1 TB G-Raid external. OS 10.5.5, Final Cut Express 4.01 Quick Time 7.5.5 Camera Canon XL-H1 connected via firewire 400. The frustration is that it worked perfectly for 7 (mini DVD) tapes but now after between 10 and 30 sec says "End of Tape Reached". If I import to iMovie, it works flawlessly, so that has been my work around. In terms of settings, I'm shooting in high Def so I set input as 1080i60. Once the footage is imported from iMovie, Final Cut works perfectly. As an old 16 mm film type, my mind is boggled at the quality of the footage and the ease of digital editing! Hi,
One of my data load in process chain has the error status in red saying that the last update was not done.
So can I go ahead and make staus of both into red and delete them?
My question is after this load failed the are some loads from the same data source.
So if I delete the red status request from the cube will there be any loss of data.
will that pick the missed deltas.

I will suggest your clear steps.
Your process chain failed wiht error showing last update was not successfull,
So what you need to do is go to previous run of the process
BEFORE Deleting Make sure that you MAKE THE TECHNICAL STATUS TO RED( In Staus Tab of Process Monitor) MANUALLLY TO AVOID MISSING ANY DELTA
So what you need to do is go to previous run of the process chian and Delete the red request form the targets.
Be carefull that you are delted the correct RED Request only to confirm that you are delteting the right request see the First tab of the Process monitor which contains Requst No.
AND the Request No of the red request should match the request no in Request tab of the Targets.
Once Deleted Repeat the failed step in Previous run of IP then IT SHOULD COME AS ""REPEAT OF LAST DELTA"".
This shows it is taking the last delta again if it comes as ""DELTA"" then records are lost.
Once successfull with previous run come to present one and repeat the failed step.
Then it will work fine and No Delta records are lost.

How do I view and open all my files again that are on my external hard drive?? Error message saying 'The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer' Three options are Initialize, Ignore or Eject.

I have recently purchased Toshiba 1TB hard drive and I set it up and I was able to transfer all my files onto it such as my music, photos, documents. I had correctly ejected and used it again and all these files were safely stored and accessible afterwards. However after I rebooted my computer as it had been going slow and I had too much clogging it up once I reconnected the external hard drive I have error message saying 'The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer' Three options are Initialize, Ignore or Eject. How do I access all my files? I set it up to work on both mac and windows. I have tried both another mac and windows computer and same issue occurs?? I am worried that all my personal files are gone but am confused as the drive has had absolutely no damage to it as it was in a very short time frame and its never left the same spot. Thanks for your quick response. I had a look at your discussion... I tried it on a Windows machine and I thought that was compatible with ExFAT?
Therefore I need to attempt to use my external hard drive with a machine that boasts OS X 10.6.5 or above and then it should work?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
Start with the section Install missing components which should address your particular error. Otherwise the steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT) as you start iTunes, then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Unfortunately I did not manage to fix my computer yet. My printer is broken so I bought a new one, but since I do not have administrator rights, I can not connect the new printer, so I have to write all-installing notes down with pencil and simultaneously translate them into Danish so it is a very slow process. I'll tell you if it succeeds, otherwise there is of course the primitive way to buy a new computer, but it's the same as giving up. Not yet.

I too had this problems (Windows 8.1). A few weeks ago after the previous update before this version of itunes, I'd had a problem with the itunes store crashing and at that time I followed instructions to copy QTMovieWin.dll to the itunes folder, which fixed the store crashing.
Today I fixed the problem by:
Delete QTMovieWin.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Uninstall ALL Apple Software using Control Panel / Programs and Features. I uninstalled:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Application Support
Apple Software Update
Bonjour
Delete the folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
Restart the computer
Reinstall QuickTime
Reinstall iTunes
Everything works GREAT now, including the iTunes store. You will not lose your media files, I got everything back, all my settings, playlists, etc.

for further references here I am providing the sollution.
The issue happens when ship to bill to location is there but the organization is not given in the location definition form while defining the location. In order to reference the organization to location please perform the following steps:-
1. Go into the responsibility: India Local Inventory
2. Navigate to Oracle Inventory > Setup > Organizations > Locations > Query Location
3. Navigate to Other tab and provide the name of organization. Save changes.
4. Retest the issue.
5. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

Try popping out the SIM card and turn off the phone.
Pop in the SIM card once again and turn on the phone, make sure that the SIM card is placed and seated perfectly in the tray!

This is our first time installing Oracle Wokflow 2.6.3 Standalone.
We are having problems with the Event Manager.
When we access the event manager pages:
pls/wf/wf_event_html.listevents?resetcookie=T
pls/wf/wf_event_html.listsystems?resetcookie=T
etc.
We get this error:
Error: 3816: Local System Creation during install was not successful. Please review the install log file for errors.
Error Stack:
WF_EVENT_HTML.isAccessible(EVENTS)
WF_EVENT_HTML.ListEvents()
     The installation was successful.
     We cannot change the Local System in the Global Workflow Preferences option.
     The table WF_systems is empty.
     Should the local system appear in this table?

You are trying to upgrade a system with the lower version of sap.com/LM-TOOLS and sap.com/SAP-JEECOR. The other thing I notice is that if you are upgrading to EhP4/EhP1 NW then the version of LM and SAP-JEECOR should look something like 7.01.3.0.
Are you using MOPZ to download EhP's ? As the error message says synchronize the system with SAP Solution Manager and then generate a new stack file.

Not sure if your payload has internal properties, which consists of delimiters. If so, since the delimiters are configured in B2B as well, do not provide the internal properties

I got it out!
Here is how.
None of the Apple-suggested ways worked. However, before totally giving up I started Roxio Popcorn and pressed the big eject button on it. It came out effortlessly!
So, I thought "Weird..."
I put the CD back in and reproduced my original problem. I got it out just as easily using Roxio Popcorn Eject feature.
So, I then thought "Maybe it is the disk?" There is nothing wrong with the disk as far as I can tell. It is perfectly round, has a smooth label-side surface. It is not even a label, it is a standard software install disk you buy in stores.
I inserted a different disk. The mini mounted it, I browsed it, and then ejected it by dragging it to trash. Worked fine.
I tried a few other disks.
The drive seems to work fine.
Maybe that CD is cursed, I dunno. I tried that disk in my PowerBook and it works fine there.
Who knows ?
I am still backing up my hard drive as I type this message in case I need to take it to the store.
