Can you log into EPMA without any issues.
Are you accessing shared services via workspace, if not try going that route and see.

  • Error when trying to access Shared Services Console

When trying to access the Shared Services Console, I recieved an error message which indicated that an error had occured while performing this operation. http://localhost:28080/interop/jsp/config/defaultError.jsp. The error message from the diagnostics reports indicate that the error has to do with the SSO service error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect.
    I am installing EPM 11.1.1.2 Hyperion 9.5
    Any ideas would be great.

Make sure the Shared Services from the Services have been started and the Database configured with the Shared Services is up.

  • Hyperion Shared Services Console:  EPMCSS-09159 error

I have assigned Administrative rights in Hyperion Shared Services Console v11.1.2.2.0.66 that are identical to my rights, but they still get the following error when trying to grant access to Native groups:
"EPMCSS-09159:  Failed to update user relationship to native groups.  User "username" not authorized to update user.  Contact Shrared Services administrator."
I am able to grant user access to Native groups with the same access.  Let me know if you have any suggestions for me to try.
    Thanks

Yes, the user has the Provisioning role and can edit and save user roles, but they cannot update native groups that users are assigned too.

  • Shared Services Console - User is not authorized for the action

    Hi,
I have installed Essbase 11.11.3 and configured on Linux. I started EPM and then the Shared Services Console. I created a new group Poweruser and assigned a new user to it. I provisioned the group withall the rights of the admin. This all works.
When I log on with the new user on the Shared Service Console and go to Essbase Studio Server and click on the Essbase Studio Server application it gives me the message:
User is not authorized for the action
This is the same message as I get under the user admin. Can anyone tell me what I can possibly do to make it work.
The service for EAS is started properly. The one thing that is not configured is HBR.
    Patrick

    Hi,
What are you trying to achieve, provision a user for essbase studio ?
EAS is a separate product from Studio.
    Cheers

  • Active Directory not showing up in Shared Service Console

    Hi,
I successfully installed EPM Version 11.1.1.1.0 in my PC, can able to access shared services through URL. But I have not seen Active Directory configured, i believe this will taken care automatically during software installation.
I was seeing AD last week, this monday I uninstalled and installed, this time missing AD showing up. I make use of NTLM directory.
Could you please suggest me how to add this AD in shared service console...Its kind of urgent ..please help.
    Regards,
    UB

But to my surprise, how come I am not able to see this now. I was seeing the AD last week and in fact, i did uninstalls and installs several times, did not face such kind of issues.
Could you please clarify how this has gone from the shared services.
    Regards, UB

  • Standalone Shared services console

    Hi,
We have installed Foundation services in EPM 11.1.2.3 version. When we try to open the shared services URL using http://<servername>:19000/interop/index.jsp, the Workspace login page is getting opened.
My question is - is it not possible to open the shared services console directly ? is any extra configuration required for this ? Or I am using a wrong URL ?
    Thanks

You are not using wrong url, even Oracle shortcut for "Shared Services URL" is pointed to interop one, but as everyone pointed out it is now embedded to Workspace.

  • EPM Architect - Process Manager service hangs when shut down via script

    Hello all,
We have a shutdown script which brings down all of our EPM 11.1.1.3 services. It works perfectly for everything except for one service. For some reason the "Hyperion EPM Architect - Process Manager" service gets stuck in a hung state whenever we run our shutdown script. Here is the section of the script which relates to our EPM Architect services.
    echo stopping Hyperion EPMA Services. %date% %time% >> %LOGFILE%
    sc \\ERPHYBTVXX02 stop "HyS9EPMAWebTier"
    choice /n /t 45 /d y > nul
    sc \\ERPHYBTVXX02 stop "HyS9EPMADataSynchronizer"
    choice /n /t 120 /d y > nul
    sc \\ERPHYBTVXX02 stop "HyS9BPMA_NetJNIBridge"

If anyone has run into this or has any ideas, I would appreciate any feedback.
    -Bob

Thanks for the reply. Checking the Event Viewer on the server I did find an application error log related the the service not stopping properly. I forwarded the error on to our EPM consultant who created the script.

  • Starting Shared Services Console

    Hi Guys,
After successfully installing the Esssbase/EPM I was able to log into Shared Services Console last week. For some reason this week, I only get the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' now . Apart from installing BI, I haven't really changed any of the initial settings that allowed me to access this service. Can someone kindly suggest how I may resolve this please. I've already started Foundation Services and EPM System. Is there something else I need to start?
    Much appreciated. Sam

You do need the relational repository database server to be running as well.
You've probably tried all this, but (if this is a Windows / 11.1.2 'play' environment), I'd try stopping absolutely everything and then start up just the relational database and Foundation Services. On my laptop install (Windows 7), I have to right-click the 'Start Foundation Services...' link and select 'Run As Administrator...' to get a successful startup. Another thing to bear in mind is that the Foundation Services service will show as started in the 'Services' panel well before it's actually able to handle requests, so give it a couple of minutes.

  • How to Create Bulk Users in Hpyerion Shared Services Console

    Hi All,
I need to create bulk users in Shared Services Console. Since i have huge number of users so i don't want to use Front End. Instead i prefer to upload some CSV sort of stuff.
For this i export Shared Services console and open its Users.csv file.
Now my plan is to add all my users here and then will Import that Shared Services Console backup.
The only point where i am confused is that how should i specify Encrypted Passwords in Users.csv file and also what should i write in "internal_id" column

If you are using LCM and these are native users then you should be able to enter an uncrypted password and when it is imported it should be encrypted.
Leave the internal id column blank for new users, test by creating one new user.
    Cheers

Yes, the user has the Provisioning role and can edit and save user roles, but they cannot update native groups that users are assigned too.

  • How to define Migration Definition File in Shared Services Console

    Hi expert,
I have seen the document and it says that user can define Migration Definition File in Shared Services Console. How to do it? Can you show me the steps? Thanks.
    Best Regards
    Rick

    Hi Rick,
I think what you are referring to is the "Save Migration Definition" button in LCM within the Shared Services web.
Basically, any thing that you do within Shared Services LCM utility (GUI) can be saved to .xml file for reusing the migration properties another time.

But "Essbase Server Srudio 11.1.2.1" is available instead of Essbase Server.
Help how to get "Essbase server" to give provisions to particular applications to particular users.
    Regards

    Hi Guys,
    The isssue resolved.
Reason : At the time of Installation i enabled the "Standalone mode Server"
