  • Error LO 26603 crystal reports - live office - xcelsius

    Hello Experts,
I have the problem that I can not refresh data via Live Office in an Xcelsius Dashboard in the preview. When I try to refresh the data the following error occurs: Database logon failed. (LO26603)
To the scenario: I built a Crystal Reports report connecting to a SAP IS-U table and had imported it via Live Office in an Excel file. When I refresh the report in Excel it works fine. Then I opened a new file in Xcelsius and imported the Excel Spreadsheet. At this time it is still possible to refresh the report by starting it in the Excel workspace and logon at SAP IS-U.
But then I start the preview for the dashboard I first logon at BO-Enterprise and then the error occurs. I choose the Enterprise authentication. In this case I miss the logon-screen for the SAP IS-U. So I can not type the logon/user data.
I use the Xcelsius 2008 SP3 with FP3.2, Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and BO Integration Kit for SAP SP3.
Can anybody help me please. I need your help.

    Hello Alec,
    check out if this helps.

  • Error #1009 Live Office Connections

    Hi,
I created a dashboard in Xcelsius 2008, with live office connections.  When I'm testing (select an options with combo box, and show me tool bars, datasheets....)   it  on Infoview, the following message appears by surprise on a grey background:
    "An error has ocurred.
For more information, contact the file creator or your system administrator.
    Error: Error #1009
    Connection type: Live Office Connection"
When I try again (the same combination) , the results appears correctly.
Apparently, the live office connection doesn't return all query results at the first time.
Any idea what's the problem? and how can I solved it?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You Didn't mentioned the Xcelsius version you are using.
I presume that you need to install the latest fix pack. This fix pack 3.1 addressed this problem.  I would suggest you to install all in a row (Hot Fix 3.4 is the latest one).
    Refer below document.

I am building live office excel objects from WEBI and objects are refreshing properly and if I open the documents later in the same day or next day, getting the following error repetedly. It is working fine for the first time ane next time it doesn't and the source for these reprots exist in WEBI Public folders.
"An error occurred while opening the report. The report does not exist; you have insufficient rights to open the report; or you cannot make a connection to the BusinessObjects Web Service. (LO 02010)"
Also fewtimes we are getting below error message while refreshing the Live office object
    Error message:
"An error occurred while opening the report. The report does not exist; you have insufficient rights to open the report; or you cannot make a connection to the BusinessObjects Web Service. (LO 02010)  Failed to get the document information. (LO 26315)  An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommands' API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)(6315)"

    Thank you,

    Hi Ingo,
Yes the same report can be accessed from Infoview and we don't have any issues but once we save the live office objects locally on desktop then trying to connect to LIVE OFFICE to refresh the reports then we are getting the message.
Authentication method in Live office is SAP and I didn't check "Enable windows active directorysingle sign on"
Authentication method in Universe is " Use Specified user name and Password"
Can you please help me what could be the reason for the issue and how to resolve that.

  • Live Office Errors

Anyone else having any similar errors? or have any resolutions?
    BOE Version:  BOE XI 3.0
Live Office Version: XI 3.0 FP2
    Xcelsius Version:  2008 SP1
    Description of Dashboards
    ·          Dashboard pulls about 22 tables that have been built within a WEBI report into Excel via a Live Office connection
    ·          I updated web services URL for each connection and set each to u2018Update on Loadu2019
    ·          I then exported the dashboard both to a local SWF and to InfoView
    So on to the issues:
    ·          Issue #1:  Iu2019ve noticed when I load the dashboard for the first time in the day that I get error LO26000, but then it doesnu2019t show up for subsequent loads during the day
    ·          Issue #2:  About 20-40% of the time, I will get errors LO26315 (one error popup is generated for each table that does not get loaded), however, I always get varying numbers of this error in one load (i.e., different numbers of tables are not getting loaded) but usually it is around 3-4 errors u2013 in addition, it is always different tables within the dashboard that donu2019t get loaded
So in other words, when loading the dashboard, about 20-40% of the time I will get these LO26315 messages, but it canu2019t be caused by specific tables that are causing errors (since different numbers of tables donu2019t get loaded AND it is different tables each time)
Re: Issue #1 u2013 I have already troubleshot the servers not being running with support and I showed them that the servers were all running, but I was still getting this error
Re: Issue#2 u2013 I originally thought this could be caused because the WEBI Processing Servers that Live Office was using to download the tables were at capacity and therefore were faulting because they did not have enough memory to allocate to the requests, so I tried assigning the WEBI source report to a WEBI Processing Server Group that we have that gets very little traffic.  This seems to have reduced the number of times that I get the error messages, but hence, I am still getting them.
BTW u2013 The dashboards that Iu2019ve created that consume less tables (5-6) seem to give me errors much less frequently, if at all.  So I am convinced, perhaps incorrectly, that these errors have something to do with the number of tables that Iu2019m trying to pull.

    Hi Ulrich -
Thanks so much for the reply - and very prompt too.  I really appreciate you taking the time to read through the long post.
I couldn't agree with you more regarding consolidation of the reports.  Unfortunately, I think you would understand that this comes at the cost of a much more complex Excel model.  As my client is currently comfortable building WEBI and working within its environment, it's great for long term maintenance of the dashboard if they can build the reports in WEBI and levergae it's inherent functionality rather than building complex Excel logic (of which can cause other issues for Xcelsius).  For example, if you have to build INDEX functions on top of INDEX functions on top of INDEX functions.  Would be great if there was a way to leverage the 'INDIRECT' function in Excel, but unfortunately it isn't supported yet, so you have to build INDEX on top of INDEX (which works, but I've heard isn't officially supported either).
So, anyways, to your point, I'm definitely with you in terms of consolidating tables, but I'm hesitant if it means building extremely complex Excel logic....
In terms of the 'Refresh on Load' - I can test the other option that you mention, but my gut would tell me that I'd get the same errors, since I'm getting Live Office errors (since the Live Office routines would be the same in both cases) and not Xcelsius errors with the Initialization freezing, etc.
I have had the same experiences with you regarding LO26315, but unfortunately neither of these causes are the answer to my problem.
    Suggestion #1:
We have 11 WEBI processing servers, and yes, while some of them may be stuck in the state of 'Starting', etc. that is definitely not the case for all of them (they are usually in 'Starting' mode because the server failed because of a capacity issue that cause it to fail).
Anyways, I've heard from Business Objects engineers that the dashboard Live Office connections will use the same servers that the WEBI source report is scheduled to.  So, I scheduled the WEBI source report to 4 of the 11 servers that get utilized very little (hence they never fail).  This should essentially eliminate this as being a cause.
Furthermore, with BO support on a webinar, I have checked to make sure all servers were running, then loaded the dashboard, and then still gotten the LO26315 errors.
    Suggestion #2:
There are no changes to the report that have been made.  As I mentioned, the LO26315 errors only show up about 20% of the time that the dashboard is loaded, in this time there have been no updates made to the WEBI report.  Here is a typical scenario.
1st Dashboard Load:  Get error LO26000
    Close Dashboard
    2nd Dashboard Load:  No errors
    Close Dashboard
    3rd Dashboard Load:  Get Error LO26315 x 3 (meaning that 3 tables of the 22 didn't load - let's say table 1, 2, and 3)
    Close Dashboard
    4th Dashboard Load:  No errors
    Close Dashboard
5th Dashboard Load:  Get Error LO26315 x 2 (meaning that 2 tables of the 22 didn't load - except this time it could be tables 4 and 6)
    Close Dashboard
Basically, it is always a different set of tables that don't load (give errors) and it doesn't happen everytime the dashboard is loaded.
Because of this, I'm strongly thinking this is an issue with the Live Office product and how the data is retrieved, but hoping it isn't....
After all - if Live Office works for pulling 3-4 tables (simple dashboard), then it should also be built to handle complex Enterprise dashboards as well (15-20 tables)....

  • Excelsisu Best Data Connectivity Approach: BI Services & Live Office?

    Hi guys,
I the next months we have planned to develop several Excelsius dashboards based on existing web intelligence queries. After carefully reading all documentation we have concluded that for this purpose the most suitable approaches for data connectivity are:
    - Use BI Services (Qaaws method)
    - Use Live Office
Leaving apart license considerations (we have Live Office licenses) we are internally discussing about which should be the choosen method to develop all dashboards.
Both seems to fullfill basic requirements: security restrictions, access to special data (totals, orders by)
Question is: what is your opinion about? Considering the future release of SP4 do you know which method best fit future migrations?

    Hi,
You have three options currently. QaaWS, BI Services and Live Office.
In BI4.0 QaaWS is effectively replaced by the query pane in Xcelsius, which lets you connect an Xcelsius model directly to a universe.
In BI4.0, you can also create BI Services from the web client, you no longer need to use the Webi Rich Client.
Read this for an overview and comparison of the three. http://blog.davidg.com.au/2011/04/live-office-vs-qaaws-vs-bi-services.html
Having just migrated a dashboard with 44 connections from Live Office to BI Services, I can tell you that BI Services are much faster, and easier to work with.
    Hope that helps.

  • Live Office Error when connecting to SAP BW data (Offline dashboard)

    Hi experts,
we have built up an Live Office connection to SAP BW query data to create a dashboards, which can show the data also in offlne mode. We are using exactly the same procedure as recommanded by Ingo Hilgofort in [End-to-End Scenarios With Xcelsius 2008|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/90ad73b1-506c-2b10-9e9b-9fde523f010a].
When trying to refresh the Live Office connection using the "Refresh" button in the dashboard we receive the error LO 26301: The current refresh option requires a report instance that does not exist.
The recommended action is: Change the refresh option of the object or use the CMC to schedule a new instance.
But creating an instance of the dashboard is not possible. What is meant by that? Is it necessary that we embed the Xcelsius flash into a PDF or a Crystal Report? What are our alternatives?
    Best regards,
    Sebastian

  • Live office database errors in Citrix - underlying WebI reports work fine

    Hi,
We have a live office report with 30 tabs in the excel file i.e. 30 webi report parts in it. It accesses 20 webi reports, each built on a BEX query.
Please see below the error which users get while running the report in Citrix environment. The underlying WebI report has no database errors, and we were able to run the Live Office reports at the same time on LAN. The Citirx users get these database/auth errors intermittently, on different tabs of the report at different times - the underlying BO reports are error free and users have proper rights to execute them.
"An error occured while opening the report. The report does not exist; youhave insufficient rights to open the report; or you cannot make a connection to the BusinessObjects Web Service. (LO 02010)
Failed to get the document information (LO 26315)
A database error occured. The database error text is: ...."
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Soumya

    Hi,
BO Version is BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP2.1
Datasource - BEX queries BW Relese 701, support pack level 8
We have made users login to Infoview and checked that they are able to execute the WebI reports. Also, earlier they were able to run all reports, so there is no access problem.
These errors started occuring when we had to refersh BO Universes after some of the BEX queries changed. We even asked users to stop using the excel files on which they used to get errors, thinking the files may be corrupt. Then we sent them new files which we had successfully refershed at our end. But still they get these errors in their environment.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

  • Live Office error 02010

I'm building an Xcelisus dashboard using Live Office to access a Crystal Report as the data source, which in turn uses an SAP BW query to retrieve the data.
All has been working fine for many weeks, but suddenly I can no longer access a Crystal Report from Xcelsius. When I try to select a report I get this error:
An error occurred while opening the report. The report does not exist; you have insufficient rights to open the report; or you cannot make a connection to the BusinessObjects Web Service. (LO 02010)
I am able to view the report from Crystal Reports and from InfoView. Interestingly, I can no longer View any reports from CMC logged in as Administrator - I get a blank white window when I try.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hello All,
It turns out the Live Office error 02010 was caused by the Report Application Server being disabled. Enabling it solved the problem.  However I still have the problem where I can't View a Crystal Report in BOE - I just get a blank window and hourglass. I can work around this for now using InfoView, which works, but any suggestions to resolve the issue would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Error due to Passing value in Live Office prompt

    Hi All,
I have a webi report that is inserted in excel using live office. Connection is set to refresh on demand and the prompts are fed by linking cells in excel.
When a value example "James, Carter" is passed to the prompt i get the "Failed to fetch data provider data (LO26306)" error. I am sure it is happening only when there is a comma in between the text, if there is no comma then it is fine. If i pass the value in webi report it works fine(With or without the comma) it is happening only with live office. Is there any solution for this?
    Thanks
    J

I have tried the option of replacing the comma with %2C but it dint work.
The value i am passing to a live office prompt consists of a comma and hence i am getting this error. If i have plain words. Also when i passed (AB) that is brackets i am getting the exact result. I do have these different scenarios in my data.
    Can anyone help.

  • Authentication error when creating EPM Add-in connection with SAP BO Enterprise connection type

    Hello, Experts,
I have a problem with creation of EPM Add-in connection when SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type is selected.
An error message is "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed."
Here are the steps that were implemented and how this issue was reproduced:
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0 SP12 for Microsoft was installed and configured.
Integration between SAP BPC and SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP02 was implemented. SAP BO users can successfully connect to SAP BPC system.
EPM connector was successfully installed and deployed in SAP BusinessObjects BI server.
BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 64BIT was installed in SAP BusinessObjects server.
EPM connection was successfully created in SAP BusinessObjects CMC.
EPM Add-in and BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 32BIT was installed in another computer (let's call it CLIENT) which has MS Office 2007 32BIT installed.
From CLIENT computer we have launched Excel manually and successfully created BPC connection with Connection Type - Local.
Then we have logged into BI Launch Pad and launched New / EPM document (Excel). Excel has started.
In EPM Add-in we have pressed Logon.
In connection window selected SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type.
An error "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed." appears.
Before this error appears we are not getting any window where we could select EPM connection (created in CMC) nor the possibility to enter username or password.
Looking forward you valuable comments and suggestions.
    Thank you in advance.
    Donatas Budrys

    Dear, Roberto,
Our user has Full Access to all BPC tasks and it is administrator in BI system.
Also we can successfully connect with the same user using Connection type "Local".
We had done some investigation and in the BPC SQL Server trace log we can catch the following message when an error occurs:
    ==============[System Error Tracing]==============
[System  Name] : BPCXMLAService [Message Type] : ErrorMessage [Job Name]    : ValidateUser [DateTime]    : 04/23/2014 10:58:06 [UserId]      : [Exception]    DetailMsg  : {System.Exception: Invalid user    at SAP.BPC.Services.Webservice.XMLAService.XMLAService.ValidateUser()} ==============[System Error Tracing  End ]==============
It is very interesting that after the EPM workbook is launched via BI Launch Pad till an error occurs we are NOT provided with possibility to enter any username and password. So the EPM add-in should use the same user which was logged into BI Launch Pad - in our case the user with administrative rights both in BI Launch Pad and BPC systems. Am I missing anything?
    Looking forward your feedback.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Donatas

  • Live Office: Database logon failed error

    Please help...Live Office problem...
    Am working in Xcelsius 2008.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
    1. I set up a Crystal Report using a Stored Procedure as the data provider.
    2. The Stored Procedure has a parameter built into it.
    3. When the report is refreshed within Crystal, the prompt dialog box is displayed; I fill in the desired value, and run. Everything comes back fine.
    4. Crystal Report is exported to the repository.
    5. In Excel, I inserted the Crystal Report using Live Office. It shows up as a Live Office object just fine.
    6. I bound an Excel cell to the prompt; when you change the value in the bound cell, the Live Office object refreshes and displays the correct results.
    7. In Xcelsius, I imported the Excel spreadsheet.
    8. I set up a Text component that is bound to the cell containing the parameter value. Also set up a Grid to display the results, and a Connection Refresh button to call the refresh. Added a Live Office Data Connection pointing to the Web Service URL for the report.
Note: When in Designer mode, if the value of the bound cell is changed, the results in the grid change accordingly.
    9.  When in Preview mode (or generated swf), if the Refresh button is pressed, a "User Identification" dialog box appears asking me to log on. The values it asks for are: System, User Name, Password, and Authentication.  I enter the same credentials as are within the Live Office settings in Excel, (which are working correctly), but receive an error "soapenv:Server.generalException: Database logon failed.".
Note - all the id's are synced up - Business Objects, Database, etc.
I've tried all kinds of combinations, but nothing gets me past this error. If I use any other server than the system one, the error message is "soapenv:Server.generalException: Server XXXXX not found or server may be down".
I've noticed that in Excel directly, when I open the spreadsheet and refresh the Live Office object, I am prompted to log on to the database where the stored procedure is being executed. This dialog box does not appear once the Excel sheet has been imported into Xcelsius. One of the combinations I tried in the "User Identification" dialog box was the name of the database server, that didn't work either.
I also tried creating the Live Office object directly within the Excel spreadsheet in Xcelsius, but then I was unable to bind the prompt value. Could never get the Live Office/Properties menu to appear.
    Ideas? Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!
    Stephanie

    Got it!
Here's what I had to do...
In the CMC, under Object/Process/Database for the Crystal Report -
    which says...
"Set the default information for logging onto the data source(s) automatically whenever the report is run."
The Database Connection option had to be set to "Use custom database logon information specified here" and
the When Viewing Report option set to "Use same database logon as when report is run".
Then everything works fine - prompts appear, and Xcelsius passes the log on information to the database correctly. Stored procedure executes and returns the correct results.
Thanks to everyone for their help!
    Stephanie

  • XCelsius + Live Office Error 26315

    Hi Friends,
I created an Xcelsius Dashboard based on the universe using live office. In Universe I specified row level security to a particular user group. If I login as a user under that particular group in the infoview and try to open the dashboard, then the system showing Error message or Error number 26315. If I login as Admin, then it showing the dashboard without any error.
Kindly provide me a solution as soon as possible. I am in the middle of a project delivery.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Please check note 1409578 (http://service.sap.com/notes)
It maybe that you do not have enough resources (WebI processing servers have exceeded the number of max open connections) available in your system.
