Error errors errors they just keep coming!!! aaahhhhh

I think the HP home network diagnostic utility my help me too, BUT when i go to open it i get a "runtime error hphndu.exe" and it wants to terminate .  Can you tell me the steps to fix this problem please for windows xp ALSO i get the same kinda message when i open hp solution center. to fix both problem would i do a similar process????? still going nuts i try to fix one problem then end up with another and i fel like i'm going round in circles almost time to take the printer back??

Lets get some basic facts collected here in this thread, or I will leave the pursuit of a solution elsewhere. I am not going to search for your other posts. The choice is yours.
1. What are you trying to accomplish?
2. What model is your computer? Is it an HP? What model number?
3. What OS are you using? Are you running XP?
4. What model is your printer? Have you tried connecting to it via USB?
5. What equipment is on your local network? Do you have a cable modem? DSL? A router? Wireless? Any other computers?
6. Is the initial problem that you could not install software for your HP network printer? Have you succeeded with that? Is the installation failing? At what step? What is the exact error message?
7. In regards to attempting to run the HP Network Diagnostics, do you start that by double clicking on a file named "HPHNDU_1023.exe"? What is the exact error message?
8. Open a command line [DOS] window. To do this, click start, select run, enter cmd and type the enter key. (Start => run => cmd).
9. At the DOS prompt, type the command “ping www.yahoo.com” and type the enter key. What happens? Do you get “Request timed out”? Do you get “Reply from 67.195.145.138: bytes=32   time=20ms   TTL=54”?
10. At the DOS prompt, type the command “ipconfig”. What do you see?
11. Click on start, right click on “My Computer”, click on properties. Select the hardware tab. Click the Device Manager button. Expand the Network adapters. What appears in the expanded list? If something with the string “Ethernet” appears in the list, right click on that and select properties. On the general tab, what is the device status? On the driver tab, what are the driver provider, driver date and driver version?
12. Click on start, then click on “My Computer". From there, right click on your C drive and click search. In the top box on the left, enter "xpnetdiag.exe” and click on the search button. If the program is found, double click on it. What happens? If you cannot find “xpnetdiag.exe”, try following this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914440

    Go and log out of your MobileMe account and then try logging back in again with a dummy username and password.  This can help clear it and then just log back in again with your normal username and password.
    Note though that iWeb does not require a password or username to use it - this is MobileMe.
    Also, start thinking about MobileMe alternatives before you are forced to in June.

    Okay, folks, after a 3 1/2 hour phone call with a (very patient) telephone support person at Blackberry, here's what I learned.
    You can check your USB drivers this way:
    Plug in your phone into your USB drive. Assuming your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
    Go into the Device Manager on your computer (control panel)
    Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers item on the bottom of the list
    Right-click on BlackBerry Smartphone and choose Properties
    Click on the Driver tab
    Click on the Driver Details button
    You should see one driver. I saw two. The one the BlackBerry likes is the RimUsb one.
    So here's what NOT to do: We tossed the entire driver that was the "extra". This effectively made using my mouse and keyboard impossible, as they are USB, and sent my poor husband into the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and then a mouse) with the old fashioned kind of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't do that.
    Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you -- this modifies the Registry so better do a system backup with that backup and restore if you're nervous about this sort of thing):
    From the start menu, choose run, and type regedit to get into the Registry editor.
    Follow this file path: Computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class
    Click on: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
    If there's an item on the right called "UpperFilters", delete it. (see pictures)

    Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
    Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages.  This should also sign you out of iCloud.
    Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
    If that does not work
    Skip the iCloud sign in
    Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
    Change your Apple ID to the old one
    Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
    Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.
    Sign into iCloud on your device with the correct Apple ID and password

    First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
    According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
    To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
    You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
    Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
    ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
    Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
    When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

    Every time something gets downloaded I loose something else or it makes unwanted changes with other things that were working fine but now are not. I am just a regular user with a PC and I am seeing techs do not know much about how to fix stuff either, they just keep playing with buttons until something happens hopefully for the better. It took me 2 days and several hours to figure out how to set up the Firefox download and now it suddenly recreated itself to a whole new look and I have to start all over again to fix it. Firefox works so much faster than my Internet Explorer but the Explorer is more user friendly and so much more simple to use. In the middle of all this my Windows Media Player did some kind of upgrade and now my Library looks like an Alien rewrote it to suit themselves. Push the wrong button and bye bye all my favorite stuff or it is rearranged and all separated out, lots of my stuff is mp3 seminars, not music and those are not even recognizable by the new downloads. Why is every new download more INVASIVE than the last. How about some basic standards & share? And look at what is in the box just below this one!!! What does that even mean? And No I do not want you to AUTOMATICALLY add anything/what and then open this & click on Allow /Install???? What will that interfere with? You need ordinary people users to be working with you to see if they can figure out what you are talking about? I used to love using my computer, too many changes one one top of the other is getting very annoying and expensive to fix. Keep it SIMPLE. Not everyone is a computer Nerd. And PS: How about some remote help or maybe that is a remote chance of help? And maybe I just wasted another 20mins writing this and only a computer will read it.......HELLO....IS ANYBODY OUT THERE?

    other then that it's unclear what you are trying to do or if it's 1 or 2 things
    playing music videos simultaneously would imply you trying to play more then 1 at once, this is not something it support out of the box I'd say.
    then there is the 2 apps, are you refearing to apps which should let play many music videos at once?
    and do they freeze when you try to download them, or when you try to start them,
    and maybe the name of the apps, in question would make it easier for people to help.

    I'm just guessing at this point, but I suspect that you have installed a midi driver on your computer for some external device, and, since GarageBand's midi capabilities are limited in some ways, chances are your audio/midi driver is asking GarageBand to do something more than it's made to do, causing core audio's midi function to crash.
    If that's the case, you might want to try adjusting your midi device's driver settings, or uninstalling your midi device's driver, and then see if GarageBand starts up normally without it.

  • I cannot open Firefox. I see "firefox" at the top of the window but no other tools. There is an error message that won't go away. I click okay but it just keeps coming back. The message is nonsensical - gibberish.

    I've run every diagnostic and "fix" at my disposal and the problem continues. When I click to open Firefox I get a message that is only partially on the screen - upper left hand corner - and when I click okay the entire message shows up. It's still in the upper left hand corner but just keeps reappearing every time I click okay. Error says:

    I only have one video project that I ever published to iDisk. It didn't have any music or photo files attatched to it, just a few clips stitched together. I can play these clips right now in the Event Library (so I know the source files are on my computer), but strangely, under the Project Library, the project is not there. I'm almost certain that I didn't store the project on iDisk; I just completed the video and published it to iDisk (as a .mov file I think) for family to see. I've tried to figure out how to get iDisk to stop looking for this project to no avail.
    I don't know if others have experienced this, but if I click on any project and on the menu bar select Share --> Remove From --> Media Browser... it lists iPod, iPhone, iPad, tv, Computer and MobileMe. Why would MobileMe be an option here? This is the case for any video project I select. Didn't iLife '11 and/or OSX 10.8 remove all mention of MobileMe? I wonder if this is part of the problem too.
    Edit: I just removed every project I have from the Media Browser. Still no luck.

  • How do I get rid of the 'buump.me' home page? It just keeps coming back.

    I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 OS and my firefox web browser is compromised with this 'buump.me' home page which I can't get rid of. I've been into the cache, deleted all my cookies, manually changed the home page and the backup home page in the preferences folder. Still keeps coming back. Where is this nasty bit of code lurking in my machine and how can I get rid of it?

    I tried this and lost all my bookmarks and stuff! But found them in a backup file.
    I've solved the problem by creating a new firefox profile and importing my settings and bookmarks from the old one (carefully, so as not to import the virus as well)
    Now the old profile has the virus and the new profile is just fine.
    I could just delete the old profile... but I'd love to find out exactly where this buump.me bug is lurking, so maybe I'll keep the old profile for a while and see if I can find half a day or night free for detective work.

    Ever since upgrading to OSX mavericks on my MBP I have had an issue where sometimes certain applications won't quit. Whether going through the menu, or in the dock, the app will quit then immediately reopen, bouncing up on the dock. An endless loop. Happens with most applications but not all the time. Sometimes the program will quit eventually after going through this loop maybe 5 or 6 times. Sometimes they just wont quit until I manually shut down the laptop.
