Error.  ....Exception thrown in native function

Hello, all..
I have a screen capture of the error message I'm getting when
I try to save an htm file I've created for a page. Had a site all
built and when went in to make a quick change to site, the error
started popping up and now I can't save any changes to the page.
I've uninstalled DW and reinstalled but it still persists. There is
much more to the error message and I didn't know what part of it to
key in the Message Title that people would understand my error
message. I posted this message in another group but I think it was
the wrong one. My apologies to all.
Can I send the screen capture to someone and receive
opinions? I am running MX 2004. Can't afford to buy anything new
and I don't do enough web work to invest in more software. I don't
know how to post an image here, so if someone would please tell me
how to get the image to them, I'd be more than glad to send it. I'm
desperate.....I need to get this fixed. Thank you! Carolyn

You can upload the image to any webserver and post a link on
this forum.
Incase you don't have access to a webserver, you can
copy-paste the text of
the error message on this forum and hopefully the more
experienced folk will
be able to give helpful advice.
You cannot lose until you give up !!!

  • Exception thrown in native function.

    Hello,
I've encountered a bizarre, yet repetitive problem with
Dreamweaver 8. Whenever I close out of any file (.htm, .cfm, .dwt
for example) that contains any JavaScript I get the following error
    and then DW crashes:
While executing DWMenu_File_Close command in menus.xml, the
    following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
    Exception thrown in native function.
I've been working with Dreamweaver for a few years, gone to
MAX, my partner is a certified professional, and a user group
manager. I can't fix this problem. It's got to be related to my
system, as she has no problems whatsoever. I've been through the
newsgroups, the technotes, developer center, and a reloaded my
system (XP Pro) a few times.
    Thanks - David

You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this file -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

Looks like a patch conflict ..
    Check /var/sadm/patch and see
if this patch 108875-07 is present, if you have a later patch than that then you might run into the above problem ..

  • SDK: Uncaught exception thrown in native code

We are using java and the DQM SDK, our XML validates and while we are trying to create a MultiRecordTransform, we get the following exception with no information to help diagnose the issue.
com.sap.emdq.EmdqException: Uncaught exception thrown in native code
We are using the dquractransformu shared object and have NCOALink enabled.  We have successfully used the URAC transform without NCOALink.  We receive no other errors or logs when starting up, and if we turn off NCOALink, it gets past creating the MR transform.
Is there any other information we can get to help us determine what the issue is?

FYI: We found our setting in the XML that enabled NCOA processing to begin ( <PROVIDER_TYPE> ), but it would be much easier if the error indicated what was missing, instead of the generic "Uncaught exception thrown in native code".  Maybe there is a config setting to get more informative exception messages?

  • Exception thrown from servlet function

    Hi,
I have a servlet "main.java" which connects to a database and displays a table. The table contains a check box in front of each table row. It has three buttons at the bottom "add" modify" "delete". When the user clicks on some check boxes and clicks on "delete" button how can i know in the script delete.java that these are the check boxes that have been checked or selected. I tried to do in the following way
                           String[] checkedBoxes = new String[100];
checkedBoxes = req.getParameterValues("sel");where sel is the name of the checkboxes
but I am getting the following error:
[21/Aug/2001:10:36:54] failure ( 1118): Internal error: exception thrown from the servlet service function (uri=/servlet/delete.class):java.lang.NullPointerException, Stack: java.lang.NullPointerException
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Does every checkbox have the same name, i.e. "sel".
In this case you're dealing with a checkbox group. Similar to a select-style dropdown or radio button group.
I know I've had problems with dropdowns in Netscape where the select parameter was not being passed at all, so I'd get null values. I got around this by having the form submission re-assign the value from the select list to a hidden variable and then getting the value from the request.getParameter("hiddenFieldName") instead of the "dropdownFieldName".
You could try to name each checkbox individually using an appended ID, such as sel1, sel2, etc. and then have these parameters picked up using a loop construct, request.getParameter("sel" + i) -- you may want to pass some value back that would also indicate how many total checkboxes you had so you could determine how many iterations of the loop to go through.
On the form side, you could probably set the checkboxes up using a similar looping mechanism so that you wouldn't have to explicitly write each checkbox name.
If this is in fact similar to the Netscape issue I was having with dropdowns, I'd be interested to hear if it'll work in IE.
I got a bit off-topic, but hope it helps.

  • Handling exception thrown by parseEscapedXML function

    Hi,
I am using parseEscapedXML function to parse an xml string in the below format .
    <parameters><item id="" value=""/><item id="" value=""/></parameters>
The exception thrown when input is in incorrect xml format is not caught using catchAll.
Kindly check if anyone have any idea about this.

    Hi,
Ideally your BAPI shouldn't raise exceptions - it is much better to use the RETURN table from your BAPI with any relevant messages - have a look at the majority of standard SAP BAPI's in transaction BAPI.
This way, the only exceptions your try... catch block needs to handle are those related to the actual calling of your BAPI, not it's functionality.
Also, if you can successfully run the BAPI in SE37 but it fails when called from your WD application, try using the FBGENDAT functionality to capture what data is being passed to SAP from your Web Dynpro application.  All it takes is a simple mistake in setting up your contexts or logic and you won't be calling your BAPI correctly.
    Hope this helps,
    Gareth.

  • Catching exception thrown by Native program

I am calling a C++ DLL from java program.
If there is any exception in the DLL, the java program exits by itself.
I want to know how I can catch the exception thrown by the native program.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sridhar

I'll assume that you wrote a JNI wrapper around the DLL. In this case, the wrapper would need to throw the exception back to the VM. The DLL won't do this.

  • ActiveSync With csv ,Exception thrown in log file

I did active Sync with csv with the mapping IDM User target attribute
acountId to email field in the csv
    email to email
We are able to get the accounts in to IDM properly but in the log file I see the following exception
com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Unable to diff file because some records do not have a value key: accountId,
the account Id attribute is named as "login" in the csv I tried by changing the 'login' to accountId in the csv file and removed the calready created accounts in IDM,still it says the same Exception in the log and accounts are created.
am I missing anything to be done
    Regards
    Soori

You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this file -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?
