Error File: Access Denied when i am rendering a movie...why?!

This is difficult to explain because a lot could be the result of this. To make the story short, I made a movie and edited it, but since the render files added up too much, i got an external hard drive and transferred all of my final cut files onto that and deleted them on my computer. So after that i go back to final cut and it requires me to render the whole project for some reason. So each time i try to render it, it tells me that Access is Denied once it gets a third of the way through. I have tried trashing my preferences manually but that didnt seem to work. I also set my scratch disk to be my external hard drive...if that matters. But how can i fix this? i just wanna edit the video again...thanks!

Well after experimenting for a little bit, i see that my other movie projects are all DV compressor files...which is what you said...i got the H.264 videos im editing with from Miro. I successfully edited a video with these H,264 compressed files already and made it into a .mov file so maybe it isnt the problem. I think i may just restart the whole project again But is there someway to convert H.264 sequences over to MPEG or DV?

  • Error Message access denied when trying to install on SD Card

    Hi,
I got this errormessage whan I'm trying to install the image about CMD (run as Admin):
    C:\FFUTEST>dism.exe /Apply-Image /ImageFile:flash.ffu /ApplyDrive:\\.\PhysicalDr
    ive1 /SkipPlatformCheck
    Access is denied.
    Does anybody know a solution?

Are you able to see the SD card in file explorer?  When you performed the diskpart command sequence:
    diskpart
    list disk
    exit
Did your SD card show up as physicaldrive1?
Is the SD card either 8 or 16 GB in size and Class 10?
Also, are you running this command on a Windows 10 install?
You might check that explorer or cmd don't have a reference to the SD card still.  If a program is accessing the card that might prevent DISM from accessing it in exclusive mode.

  • Access Denied when trying to open a file that is encrypted on network share with EFS

I just recently enabled EFS on the default domain policy and created a new network share, encrypted a file and added myself to that file and tried to open the file from my workstation.  I then receive an error "Access denied", I also tried
to create a file and encrypt it on that same share and get an error "The requested operation cannot be completed.  The computer must be trusted for delegation and the current user account must be configured to allow delegation."
    My steps.
    1. Enable group policy for EFS, removed the expired certificate that was already there and Created a new Data recovery agent.
    2. Created a network share, created a test file, enabled encryption on the file
    3. certmgr.msc, personal and requested a new certificate, Basic EFS
    4. On the network share and properties of file, advanced, details and added the user
    5. from the workstation tried to access the file, Access Denied.  I can create any file I won't just can't add attributes to encrypt the file or open an encrypted file
Now if I go to the server where the CA is located which is also the AD server and create share and run the same process it works as expected.  I'm guessing I have to export the cert from the CA server as a pfx and import that to both the server that
has the network share and the workstation but that still doesn't seem to work.  Maybe I don't understand how EFS works and this is not possible?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are correct in not understanding how EFS works.
When you connect to an encrypted file via a network share, the encryption/decryption takes place *on* the server. To enable over the network access, the server's computer account must be trusted for delegation.
The server actually impersonates the user and creates a user profile on the server (containing the defined EFS certificate and private key). The important thing to remember is that the files is transmitted in clear text from the server to the client.

  • Sql agent job getting file access denied error

I'm not sure if this question belongs in this forum. Please move it if you want to.
Here is my question. I have an ssis package that is running into an error at the file system task trying to move a file. The package is deployed to the catalog and I am running the package using the stored procedure
    [SSISDB].[catalog].[start_execution] @execution_id
When I execute this stored proc in Management Studio while logged in under a sysadmin, everything works fine. But when I call the same TQL in SQL Agent job, I get a file access denied error. This has something to do with the id that is getting used
to run the package and I am not sure how to track that down. Any help would be appreciated.
I've check the windows permission on both the id that is running the SQL Agent and SQL SSIS Service. Both seem to have the right windows permission.

    Meanwhile, try this:
1.Make sure that your files and folder have been synchronized. Reinitializing the cache prior to synchronizing will
cause you to lose any data that isn’t synchronized.
2.Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
3.Locate the following registry subkey, and then right-click it:

4.Point to New, and then click Key.
    5.Type Parameters in the box.

  • Access Denied when saving file - CS5 & Win7

Using Dreamweaver CS5 and Win7...  Sporatically, I will try to save my .html file and will get an error saying "access denied" to the .tmp file.  So I do a "Save As" to another file name and then the original file literally disappears (is deleted / erased) from my hard drive.  No where to be found!
Has anyone else had this experience?  Is there a work around?
    Godspeed,
    Omar

Here's the solution (as I learned from other forum posts):
    - Disable the Preview Pane in Windows 7...
    or
    - Simply "deselect" the file in Windows Explorer (thus deactivating the "Preview" of the file) and try to save it again.  The "Save As" dialog will appear and you can save it with the same name.
    What is actually happening:
When a file is selected in Windows Explorer and the Preview Pane is enabled, Windows 7 displays the file (and locks it).  If the file is also open in Dreamweaver and any modifications are made, the file is considered a temp (.tmp) file by Windows as it is already in use by the Preview Pane (and locked).  When you try to save the modified file in Dreamweaver, you get the "Access Denied" error.  If you go into Windows Explorer and deselect the file, the file will disappear (be deleted / removed) as Windows now considers it a "temp" file that is no longer being previewed. At this time (assuming you didn't close the file in Dreamweaver) you can try to save it again and a "Save As" dialog will open (since the original file was deleted).
    Hope this helps!
    Godspeed,
    Omar

    Hi,
If you are able to open the same document earlier, then  anonymous access enabled on your doc library then.
If you are facing this problem in first time, then you do not have required permission (may be custom permission level has been set ) on it.

  • File Access Denied Error trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7

I am trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7 64bit & I keep getting File Access Denied. I am unable to read to the disk or to load the program. I do not have the option to open as administrator.

So when you put the disk in it won't run correctly? When the disk is inserted you should have a window pop up with 2 options. 1 to install and the other to see what is on the disk. Choose to explore or open the disk. Go to the CS4 folder where the photoshop .exe file is (that will run the setup), right click on the .exe file and choose run as Admin and it should start. See if it will install. If not then read below.
I am not sure how far you got in the install before so chances are you will have to run the CS4 cleanup utility. 2 levels to run at but don't use 1 or 2 just type in the number 3.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
You may need to run the windows installer cleanup utility too
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Before you try to reinstall the software ensure that adobe reader is not installed. If it is remove it. It has caused issues in the past with vista and CS4 installs.
Also turn off windows Defender and any anti-virus software. You can keep UAC on in Windows 7.
During the CS4 install at 90 percent it will almost stop and may take 5 to 10 mins to finish. This is normal. What a pain huh......
    After install is finished, reboot
After reboot, go to the CS4 64 bit or 32 bit icon (depends on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) in start area, right click on CS4 64 bit (if you have windows 7 64 bit) and choose properties, compatibility tab and then check run as Admin at the bottom area. Hit apply, ok to close out.
Now start CS4 and run the updater.

Every time I try to open a PDF attached to an email I get the error message "Access denied."  How do I fix this?

    1.  Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader XI
    2. Go to Edit>Preferences
    3.  Click on Security (Enhanced)
    4. Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
    5. Click Yes when dialog box open to remind closing of application
    6. Click OK to save
    7. Exit Adobe Reader
    Worked like a charm!!

  • Help! FCP 6.0.6 Export Failed "File Access Denied"

I use HDV video captured via Firewire with a Sony external HDV deck.
In FCP, I use "Easy Setup", Format: HD / Use: HDV-1080i60.
Export using Quicktime (not quicktime conversion) and set export using HDV 1080i60.
No matter the legnth of the sequence, I will get the error message, "File Access Denied", but not until the end of the export! So it will go until the export should be "done", then give me the error message.
All files are on the computer's hard drive, no external hard drives are used to or from when exporting.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Did you COMPLETELY UNINSTALL FCP before you reinstalled it?
Trashing the icon is not enough - there may be corrupt files remaining which will ruin the new installation.
This article tells you how, together with other troubleshooting techniques:-
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1846?viewlocale=en_US
Alternatively you can use FCP Remover but it will clear everything from the FCS set of apps:-

Every other major application running on your system uses
the etc directory for it's Preferences... why can't
Java... The problem isn't that Java shouldn't add requirements for the VM, the problem appears to be that Sun did add requirements, and never told anyone.
I'm looking at the self-extracting installation instructions for Linux, http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/install-linux.html#self-extracting, and nowhere does it state that you must be root in order for the VM to install properly. There is a note about installing to /usr, which you need root access for, but there is no specific requirement that you must be root in order for certain directories to be created properly.
What about applications that distribute a JVM? Did anyone tell these application developers that their users will have to install their software as root?
Maybe I'm missing something. If I am, could someone please point me to it?
